This week on Talk Eastern Europe, we unpack major developments shaping the future of the South Caucasus and the Western Balkans.Alexandra returns from Armenia after observing the country's consequential parliamentary elections and shares what international headlines got wrong about the vote. Was this really an "East versus West" contest? How much influence did Russia have? And why did many Armenians feel they were choosing between imperfect options? We also examine Albania's largest protests in recent memory. What began as demonstrations against a controversial tourism project, linked to the Trump family and Jared Kushner, has evolved into a broader challenge to Prime Minister Edi Rama, raising difficult questions about corruption, environmental protection, and Albania's EU aspirations. Finally, we turn to Bosnia and Herzegovina, where a dispute over the next High Representative highlights growing divisions between the United States and Europe over the region's future. In the second half of the episode, we discuss our latest Deep Dive interview on Montenegro's troubled path toward EU membership and ask whether the country's 2028 accession ambitions remain realistic.Talk Eastern Europe is the podcast from New Eastern Europe magazine - your trusted source for in-depth analysis and expert perspectives on Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, and the post-Soviet space. ABOUT THIS PODCASTWe publish twice weekly. The big beasts arise as we talk EVE Frontier, MapleStory Universe and how Wemade's approach bests Ubisoft. [00:34] Jon attended EVE Fanfest 2026 in Iceland. What are his takeaways?[02:40] Why EVE Fanfest works beyond being just an event for players.[05:05] EVE Frontier is EVE Online if made from scratch now.[06:46] In Cycle 6 (out 25th June), EVE Frontier finally becomes more of an actual survival game.[09:28] Modular shipbuilding replaces fixed ships.[10:40] EVE Frontier is a game that rewards players who improve their manual gameplay skills. [11:55] “This is a game that makes EVE Online feel cuddly.”[13:58] Does EVE Frontier need non-EVE players?[15:30] The fundamental approach is blockchain as a unified API.[16:38] Why some CCP/Fenris developers want to work on EVE Frontier, not EVE Online. [17:38] How EVE Frontier is using AI for coding and prototyping.[19:10] Nexon is talking about MapleStory Universe, MSU 2.0 and VIBE IP.[22:11] MapleStory Universe did $31 million in revenue in year 1. [23:22] The real KPI for MSU 2.0 is the revenue third-party devs make. [25:55] Average EVE Fanfest attendee had played 7,900 hours of EVE Online. [30:50] Legend of Ymir has released the ability to mint and trade character NFTs.[32:00] Legend of Ymir NFT character trading was $77,000 on day 1. [34:40] Ubisoft is shutting down Champions Tactics' web3 features on 27th May. [36:00] Ubisoft's blockchain problems are a minor part of much wider issues for the company. [39:00] Champions Tactics was beautifully made, but too narrow in its addressable audience. [42:29] Wemade is iteratively learning. Ubisoft is scattergun, lacking learning loops. [44:30] The post-crash shape of blockchain gaming is now becoming apparent.

In this episode of Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson, we're breaking down current events that should have everyone asking deeper questions and not just passively scrolling past them. Why are the Epstein files still not fully released? Why are there still no real Epstein trials? And why does it feel like the conversation keeps shifting right when accountability should be front and center? We're talking about Donald Trump, the ongoing silence surrounding Epstein files-related justice, and the growing tensions that are pushing us closer to global conflict. Is it all coincidence or is distraction the entire point?I'm discussing the idea that war, chaos, and constant petty headlines can be used to redirect public attention away from uncomfortable truths. And more importantly, I challenge the mindset that's keeping people passive:The obsession with “being nice.”Niceness is not a fruit of the Spirit.Kindness is, but kindness does not mean tolerating evil, ignoring corruption, or staying silent when truth is inconvenient for you.Our current culture rewards passivity and punishes boldness, but we have to ask:Are we ignoring evil to protect our image?Have we confused politeness with righteousness? And what happens to a society that refuses to confront what is wrong?Evil doesn't retreat when it's ignored. It advances when good people stay quiet and do nothing.Stop acting like nothing is different when everything has changed.--https://www.youversion.com/bible-app
