Series Synopsis: The first season of the American streaming television series Jessica Jones, which is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, follows a former superhero who opens her own detective agency after her superhero career comes to an end at the hands of Kilgrave. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films and other television series of the franchise. The season was produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios and Tall Girls Productions, with Melissa Rosenberg serving as showrunner. Krysten Ritter stars as Jones, while David Tennant plays Kilgrave. The two are joined by principal cast members Mike Colter, Rachael Taylor, Wil Traval, Erin Moriarty, Eka Darville, and Carrie-Anne Moss. Jessica Jones entered development in late 2013, with Rosenberg reworking a series she had previously developed for ABC. Ritter was cast as Jones in December 2014, and production took place in New York City from February to August 2015. The season addresses issues of rape and assault, and was always intended to be far more "adult" than other Marvel projects, particularly in terms of sex. The show's cinematography took inspiration from noir, while visual effects house Shade VFX focused on creating "invisible" effects that would support its realistic approach.

Join Adam Gertler, April O'Donnell, and Christian Bladt to discuss Jessica Jones Season 3 Episode 1 "AKA The Perfect Burger"! Marvel's Jessica Jones, or simply Jessica Jones, is an American web television series created for Netflix by Melissa Rosenberg, based on theMarvel Comics character of the same name. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise, and is the second in a series of shows that will lead up to a Defenders crossover miniseries. The series is produced by Marvel Television in association withABC Studios and Tall Girls Productions, with Rosenberg serving as showrunner. Krysten Ritter stars as Jessica Jones, a former superhero who opens her own detective agency after an end to her superhero career. Mike Colter,Rachael Taylor, Wil Traval, Erin Moriarty, Eka Darville, Carrie-Anne Moss, and David Tennant also star. A version of the series was originally in development by Rosenberg for ABC in 2010, that was eventually passed on. By late 2013, Rosenberg reworked the series, when it reentered development for Netflix as A.K.A. Jessica Jones. Ritter was cast as Jones in December 2014, with production on Jessica Jones beginning in New York City in February 2015 and lasting until late August. All episodes premiered November 20, 2015, on Netflix. Critical reception for the series was overwhelmingly positive, with praise being given to Ritter and Tennant for their performances, the series' noir tone, approach to sexuality and covering darker topics such as rape, assault and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

The second season of the American web television series Jessica Jones, which is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, follows Jones as she takes on a new case after the events surrounding her encounter with Kilgrave. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films and other television series of the franchise. The season was produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios and Tall Girls Productions, with Melissa Rosenberg serving as showrunner. Krysten Ritter stars as Jones, with Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Eka Darville also returning from the first season, as well as Wil Traval and David Tennant in guest roles. They are joined by J.R. Ramirez, Terry Chen, Leah Gibson, and Janet McTeer. The second season was ordered in January 2016, with filming beginning in April 2017, back-to-back with the miniseries Marvel's The Defenders. Filming concluded in September 2017. The season was released on March 8, 2018. It received mostly positive reviews from critics, who once again praised Ritter's performance and the series' female focus, but felt the season suffered from pacing issues and a lack of a compelling villain after Tennant's Kilgrave from season one.

Meanwhile Jessica (Krysten Ritter) has Kilgrave (David Tennant) secured in the hermetically sealed chamber located on the edge of the city, as she interrogates him to extract a confession for the murder of Hope's parents and provide evidence of mind control. As she becomes more desperate for answers her techniques are called into question by Hogarth (Carrie-Anne Moss) who seems to have designs on Kilgrave's abilities for her own ends. However, as more details of Kilgrave's past emerge from the video tape Jessica and Trish (Rachael Taylor) follow another lead that they hope will be more persuasive - Kilgrave's parents. But just when Jessica has Kilgrave right where she wants him, Hogarth's involvement complicates the situation. Let's get this Joe on the road: with Reid off for the week, we asked esteemed colleagues John and Nick to join us for a discussion of Netflix's Jessica Jones, whether it works as a Veronica McNulty PI show of its own, and who Wil Traval reminds us of. The Blotter Presents scratched your Panettiere itch with an Amanda Knox movie before we went around the dial with bullshit dream-sequisodes, Britcoms, How To Get Away With Murder, nutty Thanksgiving Day programming, and Dave's suggestion for the next TV/comics adaptation. Nick and John tag-teamed a heisty half hour of Brooklyn Nine-Nine for their Canon presentation, and we deemed a couple of farewells Winner and Loser before Tara rolled out a very learned non-regulation Game Time. From all of us Agents Of E.H.G., we're thankful you're listening to an all-new Extra Hot Great. GUESTS

The Inhumans are wanted and on the run and Fitz gets Simmons back just in time for her to try desperately to return. Is it another man? Will Daisy and Lincoln ever find happiness? And what in the devil are May and Hunter really doing out there to require useless subtitles? Agents Stargate Pioneer and Haley once again band together as Team Legends OF S.H.I.E.L.D. to combat the need to discuss all the nitty gritty details. Black Adam and Neil join in for their weekly round of Comic Book segments. And as always the hosts also take time to discuss the week in Marvel news and review all the awesome Legends Of S.H.I.E.L.D. feedback. THIS TIME ON LEGENDS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.: [2:10]   Legends OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Giveaway: Angry Groot Con Exclusive Giveaway Conclusion and Secret Wars Marvel Crate Initiation! Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Episode A Wanted Inhu(man) Weekly Comic Book Reviews The Weekly Marvel News Roundup YOUR feedback!!!! Highlights From the chatWING and Blab chat rooms LEGENDS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. GIVEAWAYS [2:32]   Haley decided to award the Angry Groot out to Willie D Nelson because of his Captain America Shield Hand (Buzzsaw Arm). Congratulations Willie! We appreciate everyone who participated in the giveaway. Haley and Stargate Pioneer tell everyone that their next giveaway will be the Marvel Secret Wars Collector Corps box. Tell the Legends of S.H.I.E.L.D. crew what you would like to see in the next Marvel Crate. And remember, make it entertaining! If it is entertaining enough you just might win a Marvel Secret Wars Crate.   LEGENDS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. LONGBOX EDITION ANNOUNCEMENT [5:07]   Stargate Pioneer announces a new spin-off micro podcast called Legends Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Longbox Edition. It is a consolidation of the produced Comic Book news and review segments by Black Adam, Lauren and Neil. Check it out if you need an early insight into the Comic Book News segments before the main podcast is released a few days later.   AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. EPISODE "A Wanted Inhu(man)" [6:26]   Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. once again moves right along and it is time to keep up for a season full of movement, action and promises – especially on our way to Civil War in May 2016. Daisy is coping well, but is surrounded by a changing world. Coulson is struggling to keep up as well and makes decision to do what’s best for everyone – including his protection of Daisy. The Science Babies can never have a moment to themselves as even though Fitz successfully brought back Simmons she wants to go back. WHY DOES SHE WANT TO GO BACK? Haley and SP disagree on what’s going on with May and Hunter. Apparently Coulson’s new S.H.I.E.LD. loses all sense of sound tactics whenever Plot Requires. And the biggest pressing question of the episode – what is the name of Rosalind’s car? "A Wanted Inhu(man)"   Directed By:  Garry A.
