HEY SPACE COWBOYS WE ARE BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER, BUT SADLY THE LIVE ACTION COWBOY BEBOP ISN'T! Today, Da Binge Bois come around to talk about the adaptation that no one really wanted, but Netflix wanted some money so here we are. All of us agreed that while the show doesn't live up to the expectations of the original series, it just isn't a very good show even when you take the anime out of the equation. We talked about how we felt the writing overall was very cliché, with a large use of tropes that none of us find entertaining, such as the spoiled child of someone powerful, a father trying to reconnect with his daughter despite his ex wife having moved on and the inclusion of a step father in the picture, and a HEAVY overuse of damsel in distress. Outside of that, we felt that the runtimes hurt a lot of the episodes and that the show progressively got worse after starting off "okay". At the end of the show we do our classic Whatcha Been Watchin' segment where we talk about what we have watched outside of the podcast where Enrique has been watching Tokyo Revengers, Eli is checking out Dexter: New Blood week to week, and Tristan has started his adventure of consuming an all time classic, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Join us next week where we will be reviewing the Kuroko No Basket: Last Game movie on the air waves! PS. DA BINGE BOIS ARE GOING TO CHINA THIS WEEK AS WE JOURNEY TO COLLECT THE TEN RINGS. This week, we are back to talk about the second newest Marvel superhero Shang Chi and The Legend Of The Ten Rings and the intrigue we had when seeing Marvel's different take, almost a kung fu movie, compared to their normal style. But before that, we do our classic trailer review segment dedicated this week to the fine people of Wyoming, Trailer Trash. Today, we talk about the new Disney + trailer, Baymax, the new and fresh trailer leading to the most highly anticipated movie Spider-Man: No Way Home, the Finn Wolfhard and Paul Rudd duo movie Ghostbusters Afterlife, Don't Look Up by Netflix, and Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie! After that, we talk about Shang Chi by reviewing it and giving it our thoughts and reactions of the moive, and how we thought the change of formula served Marvel well and we would like to see how it continues to change with upcoming movies, like Blade and The Eternals (we haven't seen it yet). During the discussion, we talk about Awkwafina was not as bad as we thought she was going to be based on the trailer, how Simu Liu does not come across as being 28 years old in the newest movie, and how the villain was a more nuanced character than just a pure bad guy. Next week, we will be a little less nice, as we review the live action Netflix Adaptation of Cowboy Bebop! Hope to see you all there! But before we get into our space adventure time, we must do our classic segment where we talk about the shows we've been watching since the last time we reviewed a TV series, Whatcha Been Watchin. This week, Enrique has been watching random horror movies like Malignant, Malevolent, Nobody Sleeps In The Woods Tonight, and Harry Potter franchise, Eli watches Outer Banks, and Tristan watches Masked Singer like always. After that we hop into our talk about Cowboy Bebop and discuss how the pivotal anime series doesn't follow standard narrative structure and which works to a varying level of appeal to each of the cast. During the talk, Enrique talks about his nostalgia for the series and love of 90s anime aesthetic, Eli talks about it took him awhile to get into the series due to plot structure, and Tristan talks about his initial distaste for Ed and how does like her now. DA BINGE BOIS ARE BACK AND RUNNING THROUGH THE SANDS OF ARRAKIS, AS WE COME TO TALK ABOUT THE 2021 ADAPTATION OF DUNE! We come around this week to talk about Dune which has hit HBO Max and theaters so you can watch it in your preferred way. But before we talk about Dune, which is actually Part 1 of two different movies, we must do our world renowned segment, where we talk about the hottest and great or not so great trailers hitting the media world. Today we talked about Disney+ new trailer for Book Of Boba Fett, Disney's Lightyear, the new WIT Studio x Cloverworks anime Spy X Family, Netflix's Tiger King 2, and Netflix's The Witcher Season 2. After that, we get into Dune and start speaking on the different things we all took away from it. We all heavily enjoyed the movie, however we felt it really suffered from not having the second part ready to go right away or within the year as there was something missing from it. We talk about how Timothée Chalamet as Paul is kinda whiny throughout the entire movie, how Jason Momoa basically did his normal schtick as Paul's guardian/older brother character, and how despite being advertised very heavily throughout the marketing campaign for this movie Zendaya was barely shown. Next week, Da Binge Bois prepare for Netflix's live action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop by watching the original anime series that everything started with! DA BOIS ARE BACK IN TOWN, and here to run circles around Kinsey and the rest of the Locke family. This week, we are talking about the fresh new season of Locke & Key, the Netflix Original Series based on the hit comic series, that we previously reviewed last year. But before that, we do our world renowned segment Whatcha Been Watchin', where we all discuss the lastest and greatest shows we have been watching in our daily lives. This week, Enrique has been watching more anime of course, by finishing the newest season in the Baki franchise, Baki Hanma, and starting a newer anime by the name of Tokyo Revengers, Eli rewatched and completed the Hunger Games movie series and started the series Glee, while Tristan is in the middle of his Marvel Cinematic Universe chronological marathon as he has completed the first Thor movie! After that, we get into the main segment where we recap and discuss our favorite and least favorite parts of the second season of Locke & Key's plotline. During that, we talk about our universal love for Scot and how we wish he didn't get hoe'd by Kinsey, how the Gabe dating Kinsey plotline is weird because Dodge has the brain of a 40 year old person but is dating a 16 year old which is big sus, and how somehow this season found a way to make a more frustrating conclusion to this season compared to previous season. HEY, HEY, YOU, YOU, IT SMELLS LIKE HALLOWEEN SPIRIT, as Da Bois return again to do the latest and greatest episode in their series of Supernatural reviews (this probably still isn't the best one, I think we peaked on the first one) as we talk about the 9th, count em, 9th season of the hit television series. Fatigue is finally starting to hit, as Enrique, Eli, and Tristan all have gripes with the fact that angels are still such a prominent fixture in the series despite not being all that entertaining anymore. But besides that, Da Bois sit down to talk about how they felt about the overarching plotline this season, why the Mark of Cain was cooler to Enrique and Eli the first time they watched the show, the unwanted return of Abaddon as the show continues to run out of ideas for villains, and how Dean became incredibly unlikeable this season even before he took on the mark, as both brothers to continue to trade places of who sacrifice themselves for the other. Crowley, Castiel, Kevin, and the rest of the crew return for this season which can only be described as the worst in many fans opinions. DA BOIS ARE BACK AROUND READY TO ROCK THIS TOWN! This week, we are here to talk about the movie that put Tom Cruise on the map (i think) Rain Man, a tale of two long lost brothers foraging a bound on a road trip to Los Angeles, with the older brother being a autistic savant. But before we talk about that classic movie, we dive into the newest tv shows and movie trailers our segment Trailer Trash, where we discuss the trailers for The Batman, the new horror movie Black Phone, Disney+ reboot Home Sweet Home Alone, the newest video game movie disappointment Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City, and Game Of Thrones prequel that will be on HBO Max, House of Dragon. After that, we begin our talk of Rain Man talking about how this movie has language that is often unacceptable in the modern era, how some of us think it is very hard to redeem a mean and insulting character within the confines of a 2 and a half hour movie, and how Dustin Hoffman gave a controversial performance in the film itself. Next week, we will be reviewing the brand new season 2 of Locke And Key, that we all hope is more entertaining than the previous season that was very divisive to us. ALRIGHT YOU ALREADY KNOW WHO IT IS, and its not Silento (because he tried to kill someone). Da Binge Bois return once again to bring YOU the reviews to the shows WE watch, and where we encourage YOU to get involved with the discussion This week, we watched Requiem, a six part Netflix series that talks about witches, kidnappings, and ANGELS! Sounds a lot like Supernatural TBH. But still we watched it, we didn't think it was very good. BUT before we get into that discussion, we do our classic Whatcha Been Watchin' segment, where Enrique watched the Fear Street Trilogy from the mind of R.L. Stine and weighs in on his thoughts of Daniel Bryan and CM Punk allegedly showing up in AEW soon, Eli watched UFC 264, Manifest and The Tomorrow War and finished the Demon Slayer season 1 and Infinity Train movie, and Tristan has been watching Big Time Rush, Reno 911 and Money In The Bank 2021. During the discussion of Requiem, Enrique, Tristan, and Eli bust out their English "Bruv" accents, we talk about how we are getting sick of Angels and Demons in our damn media, and how sometimes slow burning a show and trying to make unexpected twists leads to some degradation of quality. Join us next week where Da Bois watch ENOLA HOLMES! That one movie that is popular because Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavil, that should definitely be an episode! DA BOIS ARE BACK AROUND! And we are back this week to talk about the second segment of Monster, the classic cat-and-mouse anime. But before Da Bois just right into it we have our fresh and warm Whatcha Been Watchin' segment with Enrique having been a filthy degenerate loser and only watched GTA RP, Eli watching the Tarantino film Django Unchained, and Tristan continuing to torture himself by watching ALL of the Survivor series, where he is currently on season 3. After that, they jump straight into this much more enjoyable chunk of Monster, where we saw Eva disappear from our damn screens finally, Johan go to EXTREME LENGTHS to achieve all of his goal, and the rise of the BEST BOI WOLFGANG GRIMMIER, THROW IT UP WOOP WOOP! Next week, we will be back to talk about the last third of the Monster series with the conclusion of Johan, Nina, and Tenma's stories. But before we get to that we do our classic Whatcha Been Watchin' segment where Enrique discusses his time with the movie Malcolm and Marie, Eli talks about his adventures with HBO Max and how he watched the worst X Men movie ever, Dark Phoenix, and Tristan details his adventures with Wrestle Talk action. After all that, we get into Monster talk where we discuss why Da Baby is actually The Baby and how his cameo was very unexpected, how it might be safer for you if you don't mess with the Johan, and how Eva has to most extreme of go-away heat from Enrique and Tristan. Next week, we come back to talk about episodes 26-50 as we do our little dance and celebrate our victory of nearly completing another show. Also if you haven't seen or heard about it, Enrique put out a video essay and the anime/manga, Ashita No Joe which is 10 minutes long and has received such praise as "This is pretty good" and "I've seen worse". Da Binge Bois roll their ways to this week where we begrudgingly have to review the Netflix Death Note movie that no one wanted, and no one wants to see. But like always on these movie based episodes we must first complete Trailer Trash, and to be one hundred percent honest with you we didn't pick good trailers this week, so I'm not even gonna bother telling you guys what they were just listen to us ramble or skip that part and get to the good stuff. We hit the play button on ourselves as we decide to tear into the Death Note Netflix movie that we all hated and that isn't good, even if you haven't seen the anime. Da Bois talk about why Mia is the real protagonist in this movie, how Light Turner is actually Simp Turner, and that we think it is literally impossible to ruin Ryuk unless for some devilish reason you decide to turn him into a care bear. Join us next week as we begin our discussion of the anime series Monster with episodes 1 - 25, which can be found very easily to watch if you would like to watch along with us. DA BOIS ARE BACK IN TOWN! We here to talk about DEATHNOTE the famed anime that has gone down in the history of the world as some good stoof.
