I think we've done a great job lately of really delving into the female aspect of true crime and ghosties! This week we drank Senor Pina by the offshoot brewery of Denver Beer Co, which was....not quite what we expected. We talked about the ghost story of La Planchada, and the notorious La Mataviejitas who killed SO. MANY. PEOPLE.
Heyy there friends! This week we drank Raging Bitch IPA by Flying Dog Brewery (Macie tried so hard to like it...just not into the IPA's still). We found some stories that definitely fit the beer: Macie told the story of John Wayne Bobbitt's unfortunate dick situation, thanks to his wife Lorena, and Sara told us the gruesome story of Jane Toppan, a good ol' angel of death. Hey there! It's the last week of normal for your hosts, 2019 is about to get crazy with Macie going to the Police Academy and Sara ramping up her egg sales! With that said, we got mildly day drunk at 11:00am with Revision Brewery's "Reno As Fuck" Double (imperial) IPA. You can expect a light, fruity, but high ABV beer with that one, which we thoroughly enjoyed (mostly Sara but still). Macie talked about the infamous haunting of the Old Washoe Club of Virginia City and Sara went through the murder of Brianna Dennison. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A solid glass of eggnog beer and a terrible Christmas murder. This week we drank WeldWerks Eggnog and Barleywine beer which, definitely grew on both of us. We decided it was finally appropriate for us to cover a major heavy hitter story, together, for a long hour and a half episode about JonBenet Ramsey.
