Falling off. Getting motivated. Burning out. Trying again. If that sounds familiar, I want you to consider something different. What if the goal is not faster results, but longer results? What if you traded a couple of years of building a real foundation for decades of peace with food, exercise, and your body?I break down how the fitness industry markets against our insecurities, how we are constantly sold tactics instead of fundamentals, and why willpower is not the problem. From my background in both fitness and marketing, I explain how these messages keep us chasing the next solution while disconnecting from ourselves.Instead of another plan, I share the idea of building a foundation around your preferences. A framework that goes underneath any approach you choose. One that helps you untangle your relationship with food, movement, and self image so you can finally trust yourself. You already know more than you think. You have years of experience. This is about organizing that experience and building something sustainable. If you are ready to stop the mental tug of war and create something that lasts, this episode will help you take that first step. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. Every goal in your life comes down to daily decisions. What you choose to do right now, or what you choose not to do. When you slow down, honor your emotions, and bring yourself back to center, those decisions become clearer and more logical. We also dig into why fitness and weight loss are not purely logical problems. They are emotional ones shaped by years of experiences, beliefs, and self perception. When you lead with kindness and compassion toward yourself and trust your ability to adjust along the way, progress becomes sustainable and a lot less chaotic. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. Not because of luck or timing, but because you are finally acting in alignment with who you actually are, not who you think you are supposed to be.In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I talk about what it really means to be yourself and why so many of us spend years suppressing the very traits that make us unique. From an early age, we learn to fit in, to smooth out the edges, and to hide the parts of ourselves that feel different. Over time, that self suppression becomes normal, even when it feels heavy and exhausting.I walk through how intent matters when you are trying to grow or change. Are you exploring new versions of yourself because they align with who you are at your core, or because you are desperate for acceptance? That distinction changes everything. When your actions come from self appreciation instead of self criticism, relationships shift, anxiety softens, and the right people begin to gravitate toward you naturally. We also talk about why this work is best done with kindness and compassion, especially toward yourself. Honest self reflection does not require tearing yourself down. It requires observation, patience, and often support. Therapy can be an incredibly helpful space for this kind of work when there is trust and rapport. This episode ties directly into the inside/out approach behind Your Level Fitness. Choosing to believe in yourself first and reinforcing that belief through deliberate actions creates a calmer, more sustainable way to live, train, work, and connect with others. If you have ever felt like you were walking on eggshells, trying to be someone else, or chasing acceptance at the expense of your peace, this conversation is for you. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. There is no one else like you. No one has your exact mix of experiences, personality, beliefs, strengths, and challenges. And the more you lean into that truth, the easier it becomes to stop comparing yourself to what everyone else is doing.Social media and modern culture are designed to keep you tethered to other peoples opinions and highlight reels. It is incredibly easy to scroll, look around, and convince yourself that someone else is doing it better than you. But the more connected you are to yourself, the less power those comparisons have.I talk about making a conscious decision to appreciate who and what you see when you look in the mirror, especially if you have spent years tearing yourself down out of habit. That habit can be replaced. You can choose to build yourself up, reinforce that belief daily, and create a healthier relationship with yourself that supports everything else you are working toward. This episode is about reconnecting with yourself, appreciating your uniqueness, and choosing to live from the inside/out. When you do that, not only does comparison lose its grip, but the goals you chase and the life you build often begin to shift in ways that feel more aligned and fulfilling. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. I talk about how the fitness industry has marketed against our insecurities for decades and why that approach never actually fixes the mental tug of war around food, exercise, and the mirror.I share a different way forward that starts with how you see yourself, not with another plan or program. When you build appreciation and respect for yourself at every stage, everything else changes. Your approach to eating becomes preference based instead of restrictive. Your approach to movement becomes something you enjoy or are willing and able to do. From that calm headspace and deliberate pace, the actions become sustainable and the results become a byproduct instead of the obsession. We also talk about why habit based coaching works and where it falls apart if you ignore the emotional side of weight loss. I explain why an inside/out approach matters, how to track progress without spiraling, and why focusing on what you can control brings you back into a sense of competence and calm. This is about building a foundation you can return to no matter what challenge, diet, or phase you experiment with along the way. This episode is about creating a new normal in weight loss, one built around confidence, capability, and a forever active lifestyle that actually fits your life. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. In this episode, I talk about why loving who you are has to come before you can truly appreciate what you have built. When you choose to believe that you deserve love and respect, and that you have been through a lot, you start to see your results differently. You stop chasing change from a place of hate and start choosing growth from a place of appreciation. We talk about how people often move their old ways of avoiding feelings into fitness and weight loss, and why changing your body will never fix what you refuse to face. In this episode, I break down what that actually looks like in real life. It comes down to making hard choices. Not once. Not occasionally. But consistently. We talk about choosing to see the best in yourself, staying connected to who you are, setting and enforcing boundaries, knowing your worth, and having the uncomfortable conversations most people avoid. These are the choices that build momentum over time. These are the choices that separate people who grow from people who stay stuck. We also get into why eating well and exercising matter, but why they are often the easiest part of the process. The deeper work is learning to advocate for yourself, take responsibility without blaming yourself for everything, listen to what you need, and stop distracting yourself from the uncomfortable truth of your own emotions. If you want to stand out, if you want real confidence, if you want lasting change in your fitness and your life, it starts with connecting to yourself and doing the things most people will not do. That invisible trap where you stop doing what matters to you because you are worried about what someone else might think. Most people are not actually focused on you. They are focused on how they are being seen, judged, and perceived. Yet we hold ourselves back, change our behavior, or stay quiet because of opinions that are mostly imagined.I walk through why chasing approval is exhausting, why it never leads to fulfillment, and how it keeps you disconnected from yourself. I also talk about what it looks like to reconnect with who you are, appreciate your effort, notice your wins, and gently adjust when you need to.This episode is about choosing you. Not in a selfish way, but in an honest way. The people who truly matter will not require you to prove yourself. They will support you being you, just like you support them being them. These shorter episodes are designed to give you something to think about in just a few minutes each day. Faster than most of us want to admit. In this short Almost Daily episode, I talk about what really matters when you zoom out and look at how quickly time passes. We spend so much mental energy on our bodies, food, exercise, and how we think we are supposed to look. But underneath all of that is something bigger. How you feel about yourself. How you treat other people. How you show up in your relationships, your friendships, and your family.I talk about grudges, comparison, and the opinions you have put ahead of your own. One day, all of that noise goes away. What is left is how you lived, how you loved, and how you treated yourself along the way. This is about learning to appreciate yourself. It is about enjoying what you can while you can. It is about helping other people, taking chances, and doing the things you have been too scared to try. What if you fail? Who cares. Not trying at all costs you more than trying and missing. This is the inside/out approach. Connecting with yourself first, then living outwardly from that place. Not because you failed, but because the game was set up in a way that taught you to chase weight loss as the answer to how you feel about yourself. In this episode, I talk about why weight loss was sold as a shortcut to confidence, why you were never taught how to build a real foundation, and why tactics without a foundation never last. I break down why exercise and an eating plan matter, but only as part of a bigger picture that includes how you think, how you treat yourself, and how you live your life.I also share why your health habits should matter about as much as brushing your teeth. Important, consistent, part of your life, but not something you destroy yourself over when you miss a day.You do not have to live in a constant mental tug of war. You do not have to keep losing a game you were never given the rules to. There is another way to do this, and that way is the inside/out approach. This episode is about building a foundation, letting go of the war with your body, and finally giving yourself a way forward that does not require shame, punishment, or tearing yourself down. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. What is that resentment giving you.Resentment always gives you something. It might fuel anger. It might help you avoid feeling deeper pain. It might protect you from facing something you are not ready to face yet. There is no wrong answer here. There is only your honest answer. In this episode, I walk you through how to look at your resentment without judgment. Not to force yourself to let it go. Not to pretend you are fine. Just to notice what you are getting from holding on.Then comes the real question. Are you ready to loosen your grip. Not perfectly. Not all at once. Just enough to let some of the heaviness go.Resentment is heavy. It weighs on your mind. It weighs on your body. It shows up in how you move through your days. It tears you down from the inside.I also share how I have worked to let go of grudges in my own life. What helped me most was remembering that most people are just trying to figure things out, just like you. And as wild as it sounds, if someone is the villain in your story, there is a good chance you are the villain in someone else's story too.Life is too short to stay stuck in resentment forever. Timing matters. You will let go when you are ready, and not a moment sooner. But when you do start to loosen your grip, the space it creates can change everything. This is part of living an inside/out life. It starts with reconnecting with yourself. Sometimes it leads to reconnecting with others too. I am asking you to start with one small promise to yourself, something you already do every day. Drinking your coffee. Brushing your teeth. Eating breakfast. Drinking water. Anything. In this episode, I walk you through how to take one simple daily action, put a clear time window around it, and follow through without fail. Not to impress anyone. Not to prove anything. Just to start rebuilding trust with yourself. Most people are more consistent than they think. The problem is they keep starting too far ahead of where they actually are. When you start with what you already do and make it intentional, you begin to see that follow through is not something you lack. It is something you have just never been taught how to build from the right starting point. We talk about why missed goals do not mean you are broken. They usually mean your expectations are ahead of your current capacity. When you align your expectations with where you are willing and able to commit, consistency becomes realistic instead of overwhelming. This is part of living an inside/out life. It is about reconnecting with yourself, keeping small promises, and letting those small wins slowly change how you see yourself.Start simple. Make it easy. Follow through. There are things that I would never personally use, and things I would not recommend to certain people, but that does not mean they cannot work for someone else. What matters most is not defending a system, a diet, or a method, but understanding why something works for you.I talk about how easy it is to turn fitness into a battleground of right and wrong. I am not interested in standing on a soapbox telling you what you should or should not do. I care about helping you find what actually fits your life, your needs, and your long term goals. If something is working for you, I want to know why. That curiosity matters more to me than being “right.”We also talk about the role of doctors, personal history, and individual needs. Some people follow direct medical guidance. Some people simply update their doctor on what they are doing. Either way, your plan should make sense for you. My role is not to override medical advice, but to help you connect with yourself and build an active life you actually enjoy.I share why I live somewhere between diet culture and the anti diet movement. You usually need pieces of both. You need structure and flexibility. You need intention and permission. Most of all, you need to stop trying to force yourself into someone else's version of “right.”This episode is about choosing curiosity over combat. It is about building a forever active lifestyle that you enjoy. It is about living an inside/out life that feels real, sustainable, and yours. Even when people disagree, it does not have to become a war. Your choices, your goals, your habits, or the way you are trying to live your life?In this episode, I talk about why the need to justify yourself can quietly drain your energy and keep you stuck. Yes, there are responsibilities and roles you need to follow through on. That part matters. But not everyone deserves access to your reasoning, your plans, or your internal process. We dig into why we often seek approval from people whose lives we would not actually want, and how repeatedly explaining yourself can become a distraction from doing the work that matters to you. I also talk about the difference between listening to feedback once versus habitually defending yourself over and over again. This conversation is especially relevant if you are on a weight loss or personal growth journey and feel pressure to defend your choices around food, exercise, boundaries, or lifestyle changes. I use a simple example most people can relate to, the morning alarm. Every time you hit snooze, you are quietly breaking a promise you made to yourself, often without realizing it.I explain why starting your day by keeping one small promise can shift your mindset, your energy, and how you see yourself. When you follow through early, momentum builds. Before you know it, you have already kept several promises to yourself, and that changes how you move through the rest of your day. This conversation ties directly into fitness, weight loss, and personal growth. Confidence does not come from doing everything perfectly. It comes from doing what you said you would do, starting small, and stacking follow through over time. Once you know where you stand, the next part is empowering. You decide what direction you want to move in and how you want to move forward. We talk about why change does not need to be all or nothing. You can focus on one area of your life, make one adjustment, or take on something bigger, as long as you take it one step at a time. Life does not move in a straight line, and the path you think you are going to take will change as you go. That is normal. That is part of living.I also dive into why obsessing over the perfect plan keeps people stuck, and how learning through action is the only way to actually figure out what works for you. You are allowed to write your own rules, learn from what does not work, and keep going without turning setbacks into reasons to quit.We spend time talking about fitness and weight loss, especially for those who have been on this journey for years or decades. Health and fitness matter, but they are part of your life, not your entire identity. Workouts, food choices, and routines are tools to support the life you want, not proof of your worth. This episode is about ownership, self trust, pacing yourself, and building a headspace that allows you to go after what you want without burning yourself out. Not everything that happened to us was fair. Not everything was chosen. But at some point, responsibility becomes the key that unlocks change.I share a story from my childhood growing up with cerebral palsy and being told very early what the rules of my life were supposed to be. That moment shaped how I think about perspective, accountability, compassion, and choice. We are all dealt a hand. What matters is how we decide to play it.This conversation is especially important at the beginning of the year, when many people want to make changes without first getting honest about where they actually are. Before you can decide where you are going, you have to draw a line and clearly see where you stand today. We talk about separating what was outside of your control from what is within your control, taking responsibility without self blame, and choosing a direction that aligns with who you are. Progress is not linear. The path will change. But you can choose a different direction at any time. This episode is a reminder that time matters, regret weighs heavy, and building a life that fits you is worth the effort. Not who you are for your job, your family, or the roles you play for other people, but who you are when it is just you showing up for you.I talk about how easy it is to define ourselves by titles, responsibilities, and expectations, and how rarely we pause to ask whether we are being kind and compassionate to ourselves in the process. I share personal reflections from growing up with cerebral palsy, the lifelong desire to fit in, and how that search for belonging often turns into being overly critical of ourselves. We explore why connection to yourself matters, how accountability does not have to come at the expense of compassion, and why nobody can show up for you the way you can. This is not about isolating yourself or doing everything alone. It is about building a relationship with yourself that supports the life you want to live.I also explain how this mindset shows up in fitness, why I stepped away from insecurity based marketing, and how focusing on the why behind your actions creates habits you actually want to maintain for the rest of your life.If you have been feeling stretched thin, burned out, or disconnected from yourself, this episode is a reminder to soften a little, check in honestly, and start showing up for yourself with the same care you give to everyone else. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. It is about recognizing where you do have agency, where you can make changes, and how shifting from pointing fingers to pointing the thumb creates a more empowered and grounded way to move forward. Helping others is not the problem. The problem is when helping turns into losing your voice, your wants, and eventually your sense of self.I break down how this happens slowly and quietly, why it is understandable, and why it still matters that you protect who you are. As we move into a new year, this is a reminder to be kind and compassionate with yourself while also recommitting to advocating for your own needs. You do not have to choose between caring for others and caring for yourself. Letting someone into your thinking, your goals, and your process is a privilege, not an obligation. Not everyone needs access to that part of you, and not everyone is meant to understand what you are building right now.We also talk about how easy it is to waste energy trying to convince people who are not ready or willing to see things differently. Instead of changing who you are, this is an invitation to understand yourself more deeply and to lean into what actually lights you up.As we move into a new year, a lot of people will try to become someone else. If you already know who you are but feel out of place, this is your reminder that the right people will eventually find you. Most people may not understand your drive or your perspective, and some may even push back against it, but the ones who matter will get it.This episode is part of the inside/out approach I talk about often, shaped by my years in fitness, marketing, and my lived experience navigating the world with cerebral palsy. I share why embracing who you are, instead of hiding it, creates clarity, confidence, and alignment across fitness, work, and life. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. Most people are sold outcomes, some are sold habits, but very few conversations go deeper into what is underneath those actions in the first place. That internal layer, your beliefs, your self image, your emotional and mental framework, is where everything either holds together or eventually falls apart .I walk through the foundation of the work I teach, learning to love and appreciate the body you have and the person underneath it, developing real self confidence that comes from trusting yourself, and building consistency as a skill rather than chasing motivation. This is the inside/out approach to fitness and life, starting where you are, honoring your preferences, removing guilt and shame from food and movement, and creating a structure you can live with for decades, not weeks.I also share personal context from my own journey with cerebral palsy, how adaptation, patience, and self respect have shaped the way I train, eat, and show up in the world. This episode is about moving away from insecurity driven marketing and pressure, and toward calm confidence, deliberate pace, and sustainable habits that support your quality of life long term.If you are tired of restarting, forcing yourself into plans that do not fit, or feeling like something is missing even when you do everything right, this episode will help you understand what actually creates lasting change. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. Internal optimism, calmness, peace, and drive do not come from waiting until you feel confident. They start with choosing a direction and trusting yourself enough to take the next step.I talk about why simply taking action in hopes that belief will magically show up often leads to imposter syndrome. Belief does not come after perfection. It is reinforced through consistent steps taken with intention. This applies to goals, careers, fitness, and the way we learn to live in our bodies.I also explain why this matters so deeply in the fitness space, especially in an industry that has spent decades marketing against our insecurities. Living an inside/out life means choosing to appreciate the body you have while still working toward growth. It is a practice, not a destination, and one that I actively work on myself every day.My hope with this episode is to remind you that you already have what you need inside you to make meaningful change. Support, structure, and reminders help reinforce that truth, but you are not missing something. This is not about ignoring problems or pretending everything is fine. Some things are heavy. Some things genuinely suck. But if you do not like what you are experiencing, there is a path forward, and it starts with taking ownership of your perception and your actions. The world feels loud and overwhelming right now, and most of what we consume by default does not help us feel calmer, grounded, or steady. When we absorb what is considered average or normal without intention, anxiety and unease tend to follow. In this episode, I explain why taking responsibility for your life does not mean controlling everything. It means choosing a realistic and optimistic approach that allows you to navigate challenges without losing yourself in them.I also share how reinforcing this mindset matters just as much as choosing it in the first place. That is where consistent structure, reflection, and daily reminders come in. Whether that looks like journaling, listening to past episodes, or getting support through the Your Level Fitness self paced resources, the goal is to build a calmer and more deliberate way of living over time.If you are brand new to the podcast, welcome. If you have been listening for a while, I appreciate you more than you know. We all learn through experience, but there are moments where observation can save us time, energy, and unnecessary struggle if we are willing to pay attention and reflect honestly.I share why this kind of learning requires humility, curiosity, and perspective. We never have the full context of someone else's situation, but we can still notice patterns, outcomes, and decisions that either move people closer to what they want or farther away from it. The goal is not judgment. The goal is awareness. This conversation also moves into how we treat others when they are going through difficult seasons. If we are honest, most people are carrying something, even when it is not visible. I explain why leading with kindness, compassion, and grace matters just as much as being honest and direct. This applies to how we treat others and how we treat ourselves. From there, I connect this idea to the inside/out approach I teach through fitness and beyond. Too many people have spent years tying their worth to their body, their progress, or how they look in the mirror. Real sustainability starts when you connect with yourself, respect your preferences, and build habits you can actually live with long term.If you want to stop bumping your head into the same lessons, build awareness through observation, and create a calmer and more aligned way of living, this episode will give you plenty to reflect on.Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. Whether things feel amazing or feel like they are falling apart, the goal is to step back, regain perspective, and operate from a calm mind at a deliberate pace as often as you can.I break down why this logical approach to life works, but also why it cannot ignore emotions. We are emotional beings, even when we wish we were not. The work is not to suppress emotions or pretend they do not exist, but to acknowledge them, feel them, and then place healthy boundaries around how much they get to define how you see yourself. This conversation is about learning how to ride the waves without letting them carry you too far in either direction. It is about staying grounded when things are going well, and staying steady when things feel heavy. Yes, this applies to fitness and weight loss, but it also extends into every other area of life. I talk about why so many people struggle to stay consistent even when they know exactly what to do, and why building something around what you enjoy and are willing to do is the real starting point for long term change.I share why I stay away from prescribing rigid systems and instead focus on structures and frameworks that help you observe patterns, track trends, and make informed adjustments over time. This episode leans heavily into mindset, headspace, self trust, and confidence, because when those pieces are in place, the tactics finally stick. Weight loss, body composition changes, and external results become byproducts instead of constant pressure points. This is also a more reflective, audio journal style episode where I explain how I approach coaching, content, and guidance without positioning myself as an expert with all the answers. Not in a loud or performative way, but in the quiet decisions that no one else can see. In this episode, I talk about the difference between natural evolution and intentional reinvention, especially when it comes to letting go of old labels that no longer serve you.We dig into the fear that keeps people stuck, fear of failure, fear of judgment, and fear of feeling awkward when you try something new. I share why that uneasiness never fully goes away, but how you can become more comfortable with it when you stay connected to who you actually are and where you want to go in this season of your life.I also talk about distraction, isolation, and how easy it is to stay floating exactly where you are when everything around you reinforces the same thoughts and beliefs. Reinvention requires connection, to yourself first, and then to people who challenge and support you in a real give and take way. This episode is an invitation to reflect. What have you settled for? This is a continuation of the conversation around taking responsibility for your own life and owning the choices you are making. Not from a place of pressure or motivation talk, but from a place of honesty and self awareness. Sometimes the most important step is not changing anything at all. It is simply knowing.I talk about why settling is not automatically a failure. Sometimes settling is a conscious choice. Sometimes it is the easier option. Sometimes it is the comfort you actually want right now. And there is nothing wrong with that. The problem usually comes when we pretend we are stuck instead of admitting we are choosing. We also get into what really happens when you do decide to change. It is rarely a dramatic overnight transformation. It involves pauses, adjustments, reassessment, and sometimes intentional breaks. Continuing forward thoughtfully is often more courageous than taking the first step. This episode is about giving yourself permission to tell the truth about where you are. Whether you decide to stay or move in a new direction, you deserve to know what you are choosing and why. That awareness alone can change how you experience frustration, anxiety, and self judgment. If you are trying to live an inside/out life, this kind of reflection matters. Knowing yourself matters. There are things that are outside of your control and always will be, but there is also a lot that is within your control. When you consistently focus on what you can influence, you begin to feel grounded, capable, and calm instead of reactive and overwhelmed. This conversation is about ownership without blame. It is about understanding that your headspace, your mindset, and the way you interpret what is happening around you will shape the direction you move in. This is not about pretending everything is positive or thinking your way out of reality. It is about trusting yourself to figure things out as you go, even when you do not have all the answers yet.I also talk about belief, not fake confidence or empty motivation, but a genuine belief in your ability to learn, adapt, and navigate challenges. In this episode, I want to focus on the other side of that conversation, what happens when you say yes. More specifically, why you are saying yes matters more than most people realize. When you agree to help someone, that situation now becomes part of your world. If things do not go smoothly, frustration and resentment can creep in fast, especially if you agreed out of obligation instead of genuine desire. I break down how doing the right thing for the wrong reason can quietly damage relationships and your own sense of calm. This episode is a reminder to slow down before agreeing to anything. Helping others can be a beautiful thing when it comes from a real place of choice. It becomes heavy when it comes from guilt, pressure, or fear of disappointing someone. The goal is not to stop helping people, it is to help in a way that aligns with how you actually want to show up in your life. This ties directly into an inside/out approach to decision making, self trust, and emotional awareness. I also talk about why following someone else plan can be a helpful starting point but will never be enough on its own and how you can turn those best practices into a process that actually fits your life and your personality.By the end of this episode you will be reminded that your secret sauce is not your circumstances. It is your willingness to keep showing up to take small steps and to adjust as you go. If you see yourself as someone who follows through your actions will eventually match that and the momentum you build will carry into every area of your life. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. The part that really matters is everything in between. As I look at my own life as an almost forty four year old I see how fast time moves and how many things I used to worry about that truly do not matter now. Fitness, weight loss, business, all of it felt huge in the moment, but so much of what kept me up at night has faded into the background.I share why I believe you will figure out what you need to figure out, professionally, personally, and within yourself, if you can spend more time present and working toward the future you want instead of living in past regrets or future what ifs. You will not be perfect with this and neither am I, but the more often you come back to center and intentionally build your life, the more you can feel fulfilled, at peace, and less weighed down by the sense that you wasted whole chapters of your story. This is a short but heavier episode meant to nudge you to look at how you are spending your time and how you want the rest of your book to read. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. When you are going after goals it is hard to keep showing up, pushing through setbacks, and navigating the forward and backward cycles that come with any long term process. Support and encouragement from the right people can make all the difference.I share why there is no cap on how many people can be successful in any area and why you can fully celebrate others, even when their goals look nothing like yours. Whether someone is chasing a fitness milestone, a career shift, a creative project, or anything else, your genuine encouragement matters more than you realize. The tech we have now is incredible and much more accessible than it used to be, but it is not meant to be perfect. It is a baseline, a snapshot of where you are right now, so you can pay attention to trends over time instead of obsessing over a single reading.I share how I look at my own data, from steps and workouts to sleep and blood pressure, including moments where the numbers clearly miss the mark. The goal is not one hundred percent accuracy, the goal is consistent action. When you show up and are roughly sixty to seventy percent on target most of the time, you will get better long term results than chasing perfection, burning out, falling off, and restarting over and over.If you are someone who fixates on calories, macros, or daily stats, this conversation is a reminder to zoom out, use the information as a tool, and keep doing the best you can daily or almost daily. Your progress is built on patterns, not isolated numbers, and you have more room to breathe and adjust than you might think. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. This is not an either or situation. It is an and. Therapy, exercise, medication, and every tool you use to support your mental and emotional health all work together, not in competition. I talk about what a productive relationship with a therapist actually looks like, why it is so hard to find, and why therapy is still the foundation of an inside/out process when it is accessible for you.I also break down a recent social media post that claimed exercise is more effective than therapy or medication. There is truth in the benefits of movement. There is also danger in oversimplifying mental health to a single solution. Exercise is a powerful tool, but it is not therapy. It can support your mental health, but it cannot replace the work that happens in a connected therapeutic relationship. As someone who has been in therapy for years, I share what the process has done for me and why I believe everyone deserves access to a therapist who can help them see their blind spots, develop skills, and work through their internal patterns. I also talk about how much the fitness space reinforces the belief that changing your body will fix how you feel, and how that leads many people into body dysmorphia and cycles of frustration. My hope with this episode is simple. If even one person hears this and begins to be easier on themselves, recognizes their own resilience, or takes a step toward connecting with who they are beneath the surface, then the conversation served its purpose. You deserve tools. You deserve support. You deserve to feel at home in your own head. And you can build that one honest step at a time. Please share your thoughts with me at daryl@yourlevelfitness.com. We live in a time where sixty second summaries get more attention than real stories but real growth does not come from bite sized checklists. It comes from sharing what you have lived through and taking the time to understand what those experiences taught you.I also share why I want more people to tell their own stories in their own voice whether that is through a blog a podcast or their own corner of the internet. You have probably heard the idea that you should find your why but most of those answers are based on other people and expectations that live outside of you. The real why is the one that drives your actions day after day and it starts with seeing yourself clearly exactly as you are right now without judgment or criticism. This process takes time because there is so much you have to cut through. Your sense of self shapes every choice you make in fitness weight loss and every other area of life. Once you can see who you are right now you can start exploring how you want to see yourself which creates a bridge you can actually walk across. As you evolve the picture will change and that is exactly how it should be.When your actions are built around what you genuinely like and what you are willing and able to do you no longer have to force consistency. You enjoy what you are doing so you naturally show up. That is why fitness and eating strategies based on your preferences are always more sustainable than anything that requires willpower alone. The results become the byproduct not the primary target.I also talk about therapy and how valuable it can be when you are doing this deeper connection work. Not every therapist will be the right fit and that is normal. A productive working relationship can support you as you reinforce how you want to see yourself every day but this work still starts with you.As always I want to hear your thoughts.
