spiked, intelligent, right, excellent, love.
Listeners of The spiked podcast that love the show mention:The spiked podcast is a refreshing and thought-provoking show that provides incisive and witty analysis of British politics. As a listener from California, I appreciate the perspective it offers on what is happening in Britain. The episode on the US election and populism, in particular, was excellent and provided valuable insights. I have even become a monthly donor at their website because I believe in the importance of supporting such intelligent discourse.
One of the best aspects of The spiked podcast is the fact that it brings together speakers from both the left and the right, showing that common ground can be found even among those with differing ideologies. It is remarkable to hear intelligent, educated, and articulate individuals engaging in polite and frank conversations about political ideals. Their discussions are free from excessive partisanship and are grounded in common sense. This podcast proves that politics should be fluid and not limited by labels or gender.
Furthermore, The spiked podcast stands out for its unwavering commitment to basic values such as democracy, freedom, and free speech. Its speakers strongly uphold these principles regardless of their political leanings. This dedication to democratic principles is truly inspiring and reminds us of what we should expect from our leaders. Additionally, their support for implementing Brexit as voted for in the 2016 referendum showcases a respect for public opinion that is often lacking in mainstream media.
While it is challenging to find any major flaws with The spiked podcast, one minor critique could be its British focus which may limit its appeal to an international audience. However, this can also be seen as a positive aspect as it allows for an in-depth examination of British politics from various perspectives. Moreover, the podcast's commitment to providing rational analysis outweighs any potential limitations.
In conclusion, The spiked podcast has quickly become a favorite among listeners like myself who seek intelligent discourse on current affairs without the noise of sensationalism or bias. Its speakers bring clarity, logic, and a strong belief in democracy to their discussions, making it a breath of fresh air amidst the overwhelming political media landscape. Whether you agree or disagree with everything said on the show, it is undeniably a delightful and enlightening listen. I highly recommend The spiked podcast to anyone looking for an intellectual and engaging exploration of British politics and beyond.

To make sure you never miss great content like this, subscribe to our channel: https://www.youtube.com/@spiked Record numbers of migrants have arrived illegally on England's south coast this year. Keir Starmer's promise to ‘smash the gangs' of people smugglers has made no notable dent on the small-boats emergency. Meanwhile, deportations of illegal migrants – including those who have committed serious crimes – are routinely blocked in the courts. Here, Tony Smith – former head of the UK Border Force, now managing director at Fortinus Global – explains how Britain lost control of its borders. Human-rights law and international conventions, Tony argues, have been weaponised by an activist judiciary. The result is an asylum policy that no one voted for and that benefits criminals over the genuinely deserving.
Gawain Towler, Tom Slater and Fraser Myers discuss the local elections, Tony Blair's turn against Net Zero and the censorious panic over Kneecap.
Graham Linehan, Tom Slater and Fraser Myers discuss Keir Starmer's slipperiness on the trans issue, non-crime hate incidents and St George Was Turkish Day.

Anti-Semitism has also surged, as Islamist narratives have dominated the West's debate over the Israel-Hamas war. This is the audio from a video we have just published on our YouTube channel – an interview with Macer Gifford. To make sure you never miss great content like this, subscribe to our channel: https://www.youtube.com/@spiked ‘To fight evil.' That's why Macer Gifford gave up his comfortable life as a City of London currency trader to fight as an international volunteer in two major conflicts – first in Syria, and then in Ukraine. In 2014, he joined the Kurds in their battle against ISIS. In 2022, he helped Ukrainians fend off Putin's Russia. Here, Macer reveals the perils of 21st-century warfare, recalls the joy of liberating Kherson, and explains why Ukrainians are still willing to risk it all for their freedom. This is the audio from a video we have just published on our YouTube channel – an interview with Danny Kruger. To make sure you never miss great content like this, subscribe to our channel: https://www.youtube.com/@spiked There is no ‘safe' way to legalise assisted dying, warns Conservative MP Danny Kruger on spiked today ahead of Friday's House of Commons vote. Talking to Fraser Myers, he argues that a ‘right to die' would force the NHS to offer ‘death on demand'. For all the talk of the ‘safeguards' in the proposed bill, the experience of countries like Canada shows that mission creep is inevitable. There, assisted dying is routinely offered to those who don't ask for it, and as a substitute for proper care. He urges his fellow MPs to reject this dangerous bill. This is the audio from a video we have just published on our YouTube channel – an interview with Natasha Hausdorff. To make sure you never miss great content like this, subscribe to our channel: https://www.youtube.com/@spiked Israel is easily the most demonised nation on Earth. Despite the Jewish State being a liberal democracy, Western activists spend vastly more time raging against it than they do genuinely despotic regimes. We're told Israel is committing ‘genocide' in Gaza, that it is going out of its way to kill civilians in its war against Hamas, that it is an ‘apartheid state'. But none of this bears any resemblance to reality. Here, barrister Natasha Hausdorff debunks the anti-Israel myths, which she says have become a kind of new blood libel.
