In the north-eastern state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the party was initially projected to only just scrape through, with its worst ever election result. A few hours later, however, it had dipped below the 5% threshold needed to stay in parliament. Toutefois, faute d'obtenir une majorité de sièges, le parti d'Ulrich Siegmund doit désormais trouver des partenaires s'il veut accéder au pouvoir, et appliquer son programme radical.Contrairement à d'autres formations d'extrême droite en Europe, l'AID n'a jamais cherché à se « dédiaboliser ». Toutefois, alors que de multiples crises - afflux migratoire de 2015, pandémie de Covid-19, guerre en Russie, flambée des prix de l'énergie, attentats islamistes sur le sol national - affectent tout le pays, l'AfD gagne du terrain partout dans tout le pays.QUELLE PLACE POUR LA DETTE DANS LA CAMPAGNE PRÉSIDENTIELLE ?Au premier trimestre selon l'Insee, la dette publique française a augmenté à 3.536,1 milliards d'euros, pour s'établir à 117,5 % du PIB. Le gouvernement vise un déficit à 5% en 2026, contre 5,1 % en 2025, 5,8 % en 2024 et 5,4 % en 2023.Depuis le 18 août, le taux d'intérêt de notre dette à dix ans est de 4,1 %, soit son plus haut niveau depuis novembre 2008, lors de la crise financière. Il avait alors atteint 4,2 %. Sur les six premiers mois de l'année, la charge de la dette s'est alourdie de plus de 5 milliards d'euros. Mi-juillet, quatre économistes, missionnés par Bercy, ont remis un rapport dans lequel ils estiment à 126 milliards d'euros les efforts à réaliser dès 2027 pour stabiliser le taux de dette publique en France d'ici à 2032.Faute de quoi celle-ci passerait à 130 % du PIB en 2030.Sept des candidats à l'élection présidentielle étaient réunis, fin août, par le Medef : Marine Le Pen, Raphaël Glucksmann, Edouard Philippe, Gabriel Attal, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Marine Tondelier et Bruno Retailleau. L'ancien Premier ministre Gabriel Attal a proposé de revenir sous les 3 % de déficit d'ici à 2032 et à l'équilibre en dix ans. Il prévoit de « changer assez profondément notre système social» et de reprendre le calendrier prévu de la réforme Borne des retraites, suspendue dans le budget 2026 par le gouvernement de Lecornu. Si elle accède à l'Elysée, la candidate du Rassemblement national mènera un plan d'économies de 125 milliards d'euros sur le quinquennat.
