We discuss the murder of Charlie Kirk, how transgender rights activism was a primary motivation of his killer, why the dehumanisation of political opponents has become the domain the political left operates from, and how subsequently it means Trump's decision to classify Antifa as a terrorist organisation is downstream of that. Plus, Robert Nozick's thought experiment 'The Experience Machine' becoming a real life test, Stella O'Malley's excellent recent Spiked article, mass cultural infantilism, why being rightwing is the new youth subculture after transgenderism, and how revisiting childhood things takes the sheen off nostalgia.

You'll never expect what's coming!”—Messianic Rabbi Zev Porat (Tel Aviv, Israel)Golgotha, the Place of the Skull, depicts one of the most iconic images known to humanity: three crosses on a hill. Spiked to the middle cross was Yeshua/Jesus, the divine offer of Heaven's salvation. After years of meticulously poring over the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures, Author Carl Gallups is leading readers on a unique pilgrimage to Golgotha, tracking a supernatural and almost DNA-like encoding of that quintessential image throughout the Bible. Astonishingly, likenesses of Golgotha are visible from the beginning words of Genesis to some of the last words of Revelation—and in just the right places.Written, in part, in Gallups' trademark, immersive-narrative style, Golgotha's Groaning is unlike any of his other works as far as the degree of its explosive content and exciting disclosures. Connected to key biblical passages are more than eighty illustrations, allowing readers to see for themselves these newly revealed truths.Carl Gallups has dedicated himself to his research with the same kind of intensity he poured into his previous law enforcement/investigation career, as well as with the wisdom he's garnered after many decades of contextually studying, teaching, and preaching God's Word.In Golgotha's Groaning, you will …In the first few chapters, through the theater of your mind, join Yeshua and His disciples at their last Passover meal. Then, in the remaining pages, you'll see staggering revelations clearly unfurl.Discover the true location of Golgotha, according to the declarations of the contextual Word of God itself.Come to believe that the Bible, unlike any other book in history, contains tangible evidence of its own multidimensional inspiration—an invaluable tool to boost your confidence in your witnessing and teaching.Recognize the links these revelations have with what are now undoubtedly the most prophetic days of human existence, as well as to your own life!“Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations but now is made manifest to his saints.” —Colossians 1:26, KJV

First: the new era of censorshipA year ago, John Power notes, the UK was consumed by race riots precipitated by online rumours about the perpetrator of the Southport atrocity. This summer, there have been protests, but ‘something is different'. With the introduction of the Online Safety Act, ‘the government is exerting far greater control over what can and can't be viewed online'. While the act ‘promises to protect minors from harmful material', he argues that it is ‘the most sweeping attempt by any liberal democracy to bring the online world under the control of the state'.Implemented and defended by the current Labour government, it is actually the result of legislation passed by the Conservatives in 2023 – which Labour did not support at the time, arguing it didn't go far enough. So how much of a danger is the Act to free speech in Britain?John joined the podcast to discuss further alongside former Conservative minister Steve Baker, MP from 2010-24, and who was one of the biggest critics of the bill within the Conservative Party at the time.Next: should we be worried about protests against migrants? This week, outside a hotel in Epping, groups amassed to protest against the migrants housed there, with counter-protestors appearing in turn. Tommy Robinson might not have appeared in the end, but the Spectator's Max Jeffrey did, concluding that the protests were ultimately ‘anticlimactic'.Nevertheless, the protests have sparked debate about the motivations of those speaking out against the migrants – are there legitimate concerns voiced by locals, or are the protests being manipulated by figures on the political fringes? And what do the protests tell us about community tensions in the UK? Max joined the podcast to discuss alongside the editor of Spiked Tom Slater. And finally: why are ‘romantasy' novels so popular?Lara Brown writes in the magazine this week about the phenomenon of the genre ‘romantasy', which mixes romance with fantasy. While ‘chick-lit' is nothing new, Lara argues that this is ‘literature taken to its lowest form', emblematic of the terminally online young people who consume it. Nevertheless, it is incredibly popular and is credited by publishers as boosting the British fiction industry to over £1 billion. To unpack the genre's popularity, Lara joined the podcast, alongside Sarah Maxwell, the founder of London's first romance-only bookshop Saucy Books, based in Notting Hill.Hosted by William Moore and Lara Prendergast.Produced by Patrick Gibbons and Megan McElroy.

From Wall Street to Spiked Coconut Water – Chris Allen's Startup Leap In this episode of Join Up Dots, we dive into the incredible journey of Chris Allen, co-founder of CV Brewing and the mastermind behind Osena, the world's first spiked coconut water cocktail. Chris didn't start in a brewery—he began in the high-stress world of corporate finance, crunching numbers in boardrooms. But at 27, he made a bold pivot, walking away to pursue an MBA at Wharton, and ultimately launching a product that now rides the wave of the hard seltzer and wellness beverage boom. You'll discover how Chris and his co-founder brewed their first batches of Osena in a tiny New York apartment during a summer internship—turning an experimental idea into a fast-growing drinks brand known for its zero sugar, 100-calorie, electrolyte-packed punch. But the road wasn't easy. Osena launched just as the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted every aspect of life and business. Chris shares how they pivoted with remote testing, virtual focus groups, and a healthy dose of Wharton resourcefulness to stay afloat and thrive. We also explore: How a corporate background gave Chris the tools to manage uncertainty Why mental health and entrepreneurship must go hand in hand What Chris learned from appearing on Netflix's Million Dollar Secret And the advice he gives to anyone thinking about starting a business today Whether you're thinking about leaving the corporate grind or launching your own product from scratch, this episode is packed with honest insights, startup strategy, and inspiration from someone who made the leap—and stuck the landing.
