From Trump's major Venezuela oil announcement and escalating pressure on Iran to Milo Yiannopoulos' deportation and Hasan Piker's controversial past coming back into the spotlight, there was no shortage of political chaos this weekend. We break down Trump's Venezuela oil deal, Marco Rubio's reaction, new Iran sanctions, U.S. strikes on Iranian missile launchers, Scott Bessent's brutal response to Elizabeth Warren, and the media's latest Pete Hegseth speculation. Plus, Canada gets dragged into the madness with "Lake America," CBC's 9/11 language controversy, trade tensions, and some hilarious parody videos. Then things get even messier: Milo Yiannopoulos is deported, his old pro-deportation posts resurface, Laura Loomer and Tom Homan enter the conversation, and conservatives clash over what happened. Candace Owens sparks more speculation, Kathy Hochul delivers another painfully awkward moment, and Abdul El-Sayed faces repeated questions about his association with Hasan Piker as old Piker clips make the rounds again. We're also covering the latest on the Lindsay Clancy trial, Spencer Pratt's reaction, Michelle Obama talking about her daughters leaving home, Dolly Parton's Nashville honor, Billie Eilish getting roasted by Grok, and plenty of ridiculous viral videos to end the show.Be confident in your portfolio with Bulwark! Listen to the full episode There's a lot going on when Hasan Piker wears a Zhongshan suit and praises Maoism. Matthew uses Wendy Brown's 1999 essay "Resisting Left Melancholy", which cites Walter Benjamin, Freud, and Stuart Hall to argue that campist rhetoric on the left, whether earnest or ironic, can signal unmourned loss more than conviction, and that nostalgic attachments to revolutionary pasts can choke off engagement with present possibility. Brown argues that left melancholy displaces its grief over capital's triumphs onto scapegoats (identity politics, postmodernism). Matthew adds that it functions as an affective membership fee within online left communities. This might account for why liberals sense that they're sometimes being asked to join in choreographies of sadness rather than build coalitions in the present. Drawing on Hall's account of Thatcher's mastery of political language, and closing with reflections from Matthew's years as a church organist playing nearly 1000 funerals, the episode asks what it would actually mean for the left to mourn its losses instead of reenacting them — and how mourning might be a necessary revolutionary act. It's Monday, August 31st, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Burmese military killed pastor and another believer The Burma Research Institute has confirmed that Rev. William, who used no last name, and another Chin Christian, Nam Ceu, were extrajudicially murdered on June 4th by the Burmese military dictatorship in Myanmar, reports International Christian Concern. Rev. William had pastored the Chungcung Baptist Church in Chin State for more than 25 years. He was arrested with Ceu in May and had been detained by the military since then. Sources told the Burma Research Institute that Rev. William and Nam Ceu were killed for allegedly supporting the Hakha Chinland Defense Force, which is fighting against the Burmese military dictatorship. Psalm 116:15 says, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." Zo Tum Hmung, President of the Burma Research Institute, said, “We call the Trump administration to protect the persecuted Christians in Burma.” Send a polite, 4-sentence note to Kyaw Moe Tun, the Permanent Representative of Myanmar to the United Nations. Address it to the Myanmar Delegation, 10 East 77th Street, New York, NY 10075. Democrat James Talarico: Muslims and Christians worship same God James Talarico, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senator in Texas who is running against Republican Ken Paxton, the current Texas Attorney General, falsely claimed that Muslims worship the same God as Jews and Christians. Listen. TALARICO: “Christians and Muslims and Jews all worship the same God. Muslims love Jesus. They love Moses and Abraham. We are all branches on the same tree as the Abrahamic faiths. “So. it's heartbreaking to watch extremists, whether they are Christian nationalists or whether they're the Taliban or al-Qaeda, perverting these beautiful traditions, that have so much in common, to attack others and consolidate their own power.” There are three primary differences between Christianity and Islam. First, regarding the nature of God, Christians teach that God is the Trinity—one God existing in three co-equal, co-eternal persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19) By contrast, Islam completely rejects the Trinity. Second, Christians believe that Jesus is the divine Son of God and God incarnate who physically died on the cross for the atonement of the sins of the elect and rose from the dead. (John 1:1,14) By contrast, while Islam reveres Jesus as a major, virgin-born prophet and messenger of God, it explicitly denies His divinity, crucifixion, and resurrection. And third, Christianity teaches that salvation is a free gift of grace received through personal faith in the finished sacrificial work of Jesus Christ, rather than by human effort. (Ephesians 2:8-9) By contrast, Islam teaches that salvation depends on total submission to Allah's will, adherence to the Five Pillars of Islam, and the final judgment of one's deeds. Therefore, Muslims and Christians clearly do not worship the same God. Georgia Democrat distanced himself from antisemitic leftist Georgia Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff has offered sharp criticism of President Donald Trump which generated buzz about Ossoff potentially running for president in 2028. That, in turn, has attracted some left-wing figures who have lauded his messaging like left-wing streamer Hasan Piker, who told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency in April that he was “intrigued” by Ossoff. There are two developments of note. First, Ossoff, whose father is Jewish, is facing criticism from some of Georgia's local Jewish community over his votes to block certain arms sales to Israel. Second, Senator Ossoff has distanced himself from Hasan Piker over recent comments that many interpreted as justifying threats to American Jews, reports the Jewish Telegraph Agency. Speaking on a Twitch livestream on August 20th, Piker said this. PIKER: “If Jews in America keep putting this idea out there that they are singularly invested in Israel, eventually someone's going to come around and take action. Not against the state of Israel, mind you, but against American Jews.” Last Thursday, according to Fox News, an Ossoff spokesman said that the senator “unreservedly rejects reckless and dangerous rhetoric suggesting that policy advocacy invites violence against the Jewish community or any community.” In Genesis 12:3, God said, “I will make [Israel] into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on Earth will be blessed through you.” Undercover video exposes GOP Sen. Murkowski on SAVE Act And finally, liberal Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska stood on the Senate floor and painted a grim picture of the supposed damage the SAVE America Act, or the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, would do in her home state. This is the bill that would ensure that American citizens — and only American citizens — should decide American elections. It would simply require: A valid ID before registering to vote in a federal election. Proof of citizenship. No Mail-in Ballots (except for illness, disability, military, or travel). Listen to Senator Murkowski's claim. MURKOWSKI: “What we're talking about right now is just the registration to vote. So, you're in Unalaska -- say you're a fisherman or a teacher -- the flight to Anchorage, because this is where you're going to have to go -- you're going to have to go into Anchorage: 800 air miles, $1,100 per seat, if you can maybe get on a charter.” James O'Keefe, an undercover journalist with the O'Keefe Media Group and the Justice League, flew to Unalaska to find out firsthand if Senator Murkowski's claim was true. Listen to his analysis. O'KEEFE: “I'm James O'Keefe, and I'm in the middle of absolutely nowhere, about 800 miles off the coast of Alaska, on a remote island in the Aleutian Islands. “Now, Senator Lisa Murkowski says that one of the reasons she's not going to pass the SAVE Act is because of people that live here on this island of Unalaska. “Senator Murkowski saying if the SAVE Act passes, online registration goes away, and the residents here, the few thousand people that live here, are going to have to fly 800 miles and spend thousands of dollars to go to Anchorage to take care of their business. “But all the people we spoke with here, they all said that that's wrong, including the post office, the library, the city clerk, the DMV. We didn't know there was a DMV here. Everyone we spoke to here said they're able to register to vote here. They're able to prove citizenship by going to the library. “So, Senator Murkowski says, ‘If you're a fisherman in Unalaska, the closest election office is 800 miles away; it would cost $1,500. You would also need a hotel, cabs, and food while in Anchorage. But the librarian just told us differently.” Here is the portion of the undercover investigation with a female undercover agent, who accompanied O'Keefe, to the library in Unalaska. UNDERCOVER FEMALE AGENT: “Just wanted to learn a little bit more about the process to get an ID. “ LIBRARIAN: “We do passports here.” UNDERCOVER AGENT: “Oh, you do passports here.” UNDERCOVER O'KEEFE: “Mmm.” UNDERCOVER FEMALE AGENT: “That's good to know, though, that if somebody wants to confirm their citizenship, they can do it here.” UNDERCOVER O'KEEFE: “To get the Alaska ID, do you get it here or back in Anchorage?” LIBRARIAN: “Oh no, here. The DMV should be the near the police station.” UNDERCOVER O'KEEFE: “So, we don't have to go to Anchorage to get it.” LIBRARIAN: “No, no, no. As long as you have all the paperwork you need.” UNDERCOVER O'KEEFE: “But I read in the newspaper that the senator [Lisa Murkowski], said, ‘Oh, they're going to pass this SAVE Act, and everyone's got to go to Anchorage to get it.'” LIBRARIAN: “I don't think so.” UNDERCOVER O'KEEFE: “Oh no. Okay.” Proverbs 12:19 says, “Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.” Call liberal Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski's office in DC, 24 hours a day/7 days a week, and ask the live operator to connect you to her voicemail, urging her to support the SAVE America Act. Her number is (202) 224-6665. Tell her that you reject her false claim that people in the Aleutian Islands have to travel 800 miles by air to register to vote in Anchorage. Plus, call your two Senators at 202-224-3121 and ask them to vote for the SAVE America Act as well. Close And that's The Worldview on this Monday, August 31st, in the year of our Lord 2026. This week on the Mark Levin Show, AI and data centers are the new boogeyman. And the ones complaining the loudest are so-called conservatives. According to a poll, 71% of Americans oppose data centers. But what is it they oppose? There's a lot of lies and misinformation floating around, like what happened during COVID. It's democracy vs. mobocracy, and people are throwing their principles to the wind. While West Virginia welcomes data centers, California wants to ban them. People who call themselves conservatives preach against socialism then demand government kill an entire industry? This is where the rubber hits the road: conservatives must either support what's right or join the mob. We're capitalists, this is who we are. America must support new technologies that will create new jobs and secure our future. We lost an American legend: Dolly Parton passed away at the age of 80. The news was sudden and hits in a personal way. Dolly was the quintessential American: grew up dirt poor, she became a success not due to socialism or government programs, but through talent and hard work. She wasn't a political hack and had her opinions, but she loved this country and was a great patriot. There was never any hint of scandal in her private life. She had some health problems in the last years of her life and recently posted basically a goodbye to her fans. She'll be remembered along with legends like Elvis and Johnny Cash. Dolly Parton, American legend. She will be missed. Later, a Democrat nobody's heard of, Rep Johnny Olszewski, declares that impeachment of President Trump a top priority if Democrats take the House. Democrats are weaponizing impeachment for pure politics against a president who won a record popular vote, Electoral College total, and every swing state, rather than addressing genuine constitutional violations. Also, Hasan Piker's recent remarks linking American Jews' support for Israel to potential violence against them, while blaming AIPAC for Democratic backlash, have drawn condemnations from several Democratic lawmakers. AIPAC is a transparent American PAC funded by Americans—unlike foreign influence from places such as Qatar or Turkey. Furthermore, what is in the president's mail-in voting executive order? It ensures voter integrity and the requirements are common sense, yet Democrats and their media lie about it as an effort to stop women and people of color from voting and call it a grave threat. The Democrats and their slip-and-fall lawyers always seem to be on the side of the cheaters but claim they are just looking out for the rest of us. This executive order is perfectly legitimate. Welcome to Last Call, a look at the biggest stories Jim and Greg covered over the past week on the 3 Martini Lunch. This week, they discuss Democrats begging people to stop linking them with Hasan Piker, Abdul El-Sayed comparing circumcision to transgender surgeries for children, President Trump's “Economic D-Day” against Iran and companies doing business with the regime, and Los Angeles mayoral candidate Nithya Raman's pathetic example of an accomplishment.First, they enjoy watching Democrats squirm as they keep trying to dodge questions about the role of anti-Semitic influencer Hasan Piker in Democratic Party politics. Michigan Rep. Debbie Dingell is demanding an end to the questions. Meanwhile, Hunter Biden wants to find "common ground" with Piker.Next, they shake their heads as Abdul El-Sayed defends transgender surgeries for children by comparing them to circumcision. They also examine El-Sayed's attempt to distance himself from far-left influencer Hasan Piker. Then, they discuss President Trump's Operation Economic Outcast, designed to severely squeeze Iran and impose harsh consequences on countries and corporations doing business with the Iranian regime. Jim and Greg are optimistic the strategy could work, but only if the U.S. cracks down on every Iranian ally. Finally, they get a kick out of socialist Los Angeles councilwoman and mayoral candidate Nithya Raman bragging about how her office successfully painted a new crosswalk across a badly cracked street just nine months after her constituents asked her to do it. Hasan Piker is in the news once again, this time, for a “controversial” statement he made about antisemitism. This statement, that was no different than statements made uncontroversially by Ezra Klein, Haley Stevens, and Neera Tanden, drew condemnations from a wide variety of Democratic officials. From presidential hopefuls like Elissa Slotkin and Jon Ossoff to DNC chair Ken Martin, there has been a coordinated effort to disparage Hasan Piker. So much of this general election cycle has been eaten up by Hasan Piker discourse that voters are being robbed of a chance to learn about the two candidates that will actually be on the ballot: Mike Rogers and Abdul El-Sayed. Hawk examines AIPAC influence, Democratic Party divisions over Israel, Gaza, military aid, Zionism, antisemitism, and whether criticism of the Israeli government is being unfairly conflated with hatred of Jewish people. Names raised include Hakeem Jeffries, Cory Booker, Alyssa Slotkin, Josh Gottheimer, Rashida Talib, Bill Maher, Jonathan Greenblatt, and Wolf Blitzer. He questions whether establishment Democrats are out of step with their own voters on Israel and Gaza, and whether CNN's coverage of Hassan Piker has met basic standards of fairness, context, and journalistic integrity. On Wednesday's Mark Levin Show, there's deep frustration, shared by many Americans, over government officials who voice concerns about figures like Abdul El-Sayed, and Hasan Piker yet take no real action against them. We're not discussing freedom of religion but rather individuals who seek to destroy the country, promote violence, attack the Constitution and Declaration of Independence, and undermine the system—primarily first- and second-generation Islamists, some of them naturalized citizens or children of birthright citizenship (like Piker). The Washington ruling class lacks the will to defend law-abiding American patriots, with Democrats protecting such individuals for their votes and others remaining intimidated by accusations of Islamophobia. Also, NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani opposes a private Manhattan event featuring the leader of India's Hindu nationalist group (the RSS, ideological parent of the ruling party and linked to Prime Minister Modi). This is part of a pattern of his hostility toward Jews, Italians, and now Indians. Mamdani a bigot who trashes PM Modi the same way leftists trash PM Netanyahu. Later, Hasan Piker's recent remarks linking American Jews' support for Israel to potential violence against them, while blaming AIPAC for Democratic backlash, have drawn condemnations from several Democratic lawmakers. AIPAC is a transparent American PAC funded by Americans—unlike foreign influence from places such as Qatar or Turkey. Finally, Sen Dan Sullivan calls in to discuss his Senate election against Mary Peltola, who is a far-left liberal whose two terms in Congress produced zero bills signed into law. Sullivan called Alaska's ranked-choice voting system a manipulable scam put on the ballot to elect liberals - don't fall for it. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

The only likely way to end the nightmare of Trump—and Republicans supporting him no matter how much he ruins the country—is for Democrats to win in Republican-leaning states and congressional districts. That means giving moderates the grace to compete for people who voted for Trump. Likewise, moderates also need to recognize that the left will be swing voters in key races this election cycle. Plus: the online brawl over Hasan Piker, Scott Jennings' desperate campaign to be the new White House press secretary, Trump is widening his attack on the First Amendment to research institutions, and Rob Sand is breaking the candidate mold in Iowa.Epic poster and Center for American Progress president Neera Tanden joins Tim Miller.show notes: The Center for American Progress website 'Take' on the CIA director's trip to Moscow (with Weiss & Polymeropoulos) Neera's busy Twitter feed Jonathan Martin's interview with gubernatorial candidate Rob Sand

On Monday's Mark Levin Show, AI and data centers are the new boogeyman. Also, people are always distrustful of new things, but we can't be afraid to stand up to the mob. We say we're America First but oppose an industry that will keep America as the world's tech leader? We say we want to hire Americans over foreigners but try to ban a new industry that will create jobs? The hypocrisy is thick. Then, Abdul El-Sayed on MS NOW complains that Trump thinks he's less American. And why wouldn't he? El-Sayed says the election is about pocketbook issues like healthcare and affordability but with someone like El-Sayed, this election is about his ties to terror groups. It is about sharia law. It is about his father's ties. It is his association with Hasan Piker who thinks America deserved 9/11. Did El-Sayed's parents or grandparents fight for this country? Don't be fooled by Islamists who pretend to be someone they're not. Finally, JD Vance says we must be ruthless in our exercise of power. That's wrong. There is a difference between positive power and negative power. While negative power is the ruthless use of power, positive power is power exercised properly in line with the Constitution and the Declaration's emphasis on the individual. The Constitution spells out who gets what kind of power and how much, and the further away we get from the Constitution, the closer we come to authoritarianism and tyranny. The key point: power must be exercised legitimately. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
