To make sure you never miss great content like this, subscribe to our channel: https://www.youtube.com/@spiked European industry is in freefall, and Net Zero is to blame. Here, climate economist Bjorn Lomborg – author of Best Things First and False Alarm – explains how panic over climate change is doing far more damage than climate change itself. Swapping cheap and dependable fossil fuels for unreliable and expensive renewables costs our economies trillions, but for little environmental gain, Lomborg says. Plus, he tackles the myth of the ‘climate apocalypse' and explains why there are more polar bears than ever. I appeared briefly on Talk TV with Julia Hartley-Brewer to talk about Norwood Primary & Pre-School cancelling Easter Service and Easter Bonnet Parade for their students this year. Talking the joy of Easter Bunny away from little kids in the name of diversity. I didn't get chance to talk about it in further detail with Julia due to time constraints so I thought it would be a good idea to expand on that appearance. The sun came out in Britain for about five minutes so Marina and Jemma thought they'd better begin this episode with that incredible news. Maybe blue sky (not the social media platform) will take the edge of the new world order? But first, seeing as the news is borderline dystopian and jaw-droppingly surreal, it's only natural that the BBC should be focusing on Rachel Reeves' LinkedIn and whether or not she put £49 on expenses 100 years ago. TOTALLY NORMAL COUNTRY. Meanwhile, Trump appears to be blaming Ukraine for the fact that Russia invaded them. Worse than that, he's not just a Putin apologist, he's a fan. A fascinating clip of Former Prime Minister of Australia Malcolm Turnbull on what he observed in-person when Trump met Putin illustrates this perfectly. Sadly, in the UK we have our own apologists, none more so ill-informed than Richard Tice who was taken to task by Julia Hartley Brewer for comparing the situation to Northern Ireland. Trump's appeasement has put Boris Johnson in a bind. How do you support Trump and Zelensky at the same time? You can only do so if you have zero integrity. So he manages perfectly fine. Watch another of my appearances on TALK TV talking about the dangers of Islam. This time I am asked about my views on the candidates for Muslim Council in UK being ... well Islamic. Their views might seem extreme to us but to them they are just following their religion. It is for us to decide whether their religion is compatible with us or not. The people we call extremists are actually the ones just following the sunnah of the prophet. They are not radicals, Islam itself is radical. These are the uncomfortable truths that people in the West don't seem to want to admit because once you admit them you are obliged to do something about it. In this episode of The Trawl Meets, Jemma and Marina meet someone best known for her incredibly convincing parody videos of a desperately loyal Tory MP shamelessly defending the latest Government scandal... The one and only, Rosie Holt.Jemma and Marina talk to the award-winning satirist about her journey into comedy and the twist of fate that saw her become an overnight sensation. There's talk and clips of her alter ego, Harriet Langley-Swindon, who bears an uncanny likeness to a certain Julia Hartley-Brewer and discuss how her comedy has changed now it's Tories out and Labour in.Then comes the second half of the episode, where Rosie Holt MP makes an appearance and is quizzed about the real reasons for her crossing the floor from Conservative to Labour, whether she still backs Brexit and how she can look her constituents in the eye. This week kicks off with our fave - the right wingnuts… There's a legal update and we talk about Rees-Mogg, the posh man's Julia Hartley-Brewer, and his claims so wildly untrue they're almost laughable - we fact check him, hard (and yes, it riles Dale up...). The Welsh Government plans to clamp down on exactly this kind of thing - making it illegal for politicians to lie. Big Oil's lies are the stuff of legend, a new expose confirms. Meanwhile, climate change is not the end of the world, says Cambridge Prof, which Dale agrees… We also talk planes powered by sewage, and field some fab questions, not least about the Massive Attack gig, WOMAD, and the ‘Grid Faeries'. Send your Qs into zerocarbonista@ecotricity.co.uk
Several overlapping Right-Wing Nut stories this week, a reform candidate that makes Julia Hartley-Brewer look like Mother Theresa, wind energy in Britain kicks butt on the grid, the EU exits a very bad deal (but stays on the hook) - we have a new study on food, questions about Taylor Swift's footprint - and we ask does the SNP have a self-destruct button. Oh and some good news for climate protest and some not so. Keep them fab questions coming.

We've enough Right-wing Nuts this week to whip up a decent bar snack - Dale gets a touch of PTSD from an encounter with Julia Hartley-Brewer and Ian fills us in on the latest stranger than fiction Tory MP. Beyond satire this crew. Meanwhile Dale has a new battle underway with Big Diamond. Biblical flooding in Dubai should concern us all, but not the climate deniers, they have a new theory and as always we've got great questions - on heat pumps, football, birds and windmills... Keep 'em coming.

After my Friday thank-you's and shout-outs, we dive into the first topic of the day. We love turning our attention to Tara Bull and her Top 10 list of subjects the Legacy/mainstream media likely didn't tell you about in the past week. So many of you have reached out to tell me how much you enjoy that, so make sure you follow her today. Victor Davis Hanson recently penned a piece called, “Is the Great Illusion in Ruins?” It goes along with what we've been documenting through the Biden regime. All of the levers of our current society and our country have been overwhelmed to the point of both collapse and total failure. Shouldn't that be the indication the elite have no real idea how the country works or how freedom and liberty are best fostered? All the endeavors the radical progressive Left have been wanting to push have been implemented. I would argue this is as close as they have come to installing their fundamentally transformed government. Yet, look how ruinous it has been over the last three and a half years. Any objective observer can see the policies that seemed so perfect in their world of make-believe, crumble when tried in the real world. We then move to the troubles that continue to mount for the Big Fani Willis RICO case in Georgia. Harrison Floyd is only one thorn in her side, given he says she illegally recorded a phone call with his attorney. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) is pushing hard for responses to his oversight committee. Plus, the DOJ is now having to look into how federal grant money was spent by her office versus what was on the application. This goes back to the whistleblower who brought those issues up to Willis. Rather than address the problems, Willis fired the employee. The Legacy/mainstream media, in desperation to help Biden and take the attention off of every failure is doing all they can to revamp the 2020 summer of love. A headline from Chicago reads, “Police fire 96 shots in 41 seconds, killing Black man during traffic stop.” They want BLM/Antifa riots to break out all over again. The problem with that story is the one fact they intentionally leave out. The black man who has been in and out of jail for years, was the one who opened fire first. He unloaded his entire magazine, 11 shots, before the police had no choice but to return fire and eliminate the threat to themselves and innocent civilians. We have a little more from the woman who hugged Donald Trump on his campaign stop at a Chick-fil-A in Atlanta, GA. Michaelah Montgomery was asked to expand on why she told Trump to not listen to the media and to know that they all supported him? She explained how she sees how the media tries to distort and manipulate their audience. She wanted her students to observer first-hand. So they same propagandist media tried to create a divide, saying she and the students were simply paid to say nice things because Trump bought everyone chicken sandwiches and milk shakes. The soft bigotry of low expectation is the most sinister bigotry of all. Another example of a classic liberal coming to her senses comes from the opinion editor for Newsweek, Batya Ungar-Sargon. She literally said, “If you told me 10 years ago that it would be the Right protecting women's sports and the Left selling women out, I would not have believed you! Just 17% of Americans believe trans athletes should be allowed to compete against women and girls -- why are the Democrats defending this?” BBC host of Talk TV, Julia Hartley-Brewer, illustrated how to deal with those suffering from pronoun issues and other mental health problems. You simply don't allow yourself to be controlled by the person who is not mentally well. Finally, I close with my thoughts on internet trolls. To me, trolls are the lowest form of internet life. They have no real meaning or purpose in the real world. Thus, they fashion an existence online where they convince themselves they are powerful, speaking glorious wisdom, when, in fact, they are just tales told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. TalkTV's Julia Hartley-Brewer clashes with journalist and presenter Shivani Dave over the use of different pronouns. It comes after a review said children have been let down by a lack of research and "remarkably weak" evidence on medical interventions in gender care. The Cass Review, published on Wednesday by paediatrician Dr Hilary Cass, calls for gender services for young people to match the standards of other NHS care. She says the "toxicity" of the debate around gender meant professionals were "afraid" to openly discuss their views.NHS England says it has already made significant progress in making changes. The Cass Review, which looked at gender identity services for under-18s, was commissioned by NHS England in 2020 after a sharp rise in the number of patients referred to the NHS who were questioning their gender.#gender #trans #children #pronounsClick here for more from TalkTV https://talk.tvIf you need any help visit: https://talk.tv/helplines Hosted on Acast. Three former Supreme Court justices, including Lady Hale and Lord Sumption, have joined more than 600 legal experts in urging the UK government to halt weapons sales to Israel. Steve accused Julia of being a Zionist troll and a genocide enabler, while Julia defended her stance and condemned the unnecessary deaths of civilians in war.The debate highlighted the deep divide in opinions on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, with Steve insisting on condemning Israel for genocide and Julia maintaining that civilians should not die in war, but stopping short of condemning Israel.#israel #palestine #stevehedley #gaza #hamas Click here for more from TalkTV https://talk.tvIf you need any help visit: https://talk.tv/helplines Hosted on Acast.
