You can eat carbs and be healthy. You can eat carbs and still lose weight. I know it's been ingrained in you for years that you can't eat carbohydrates and lose weight at the same time...but you can! Just like any food out there, you should be mindful of your portion sizes. Too much of any food or nutrient is going to cause you to store body fat. That's from eating too many calories. That's not from a specific food.

A lot of things have end dates and deadlines. But with health and fitness, there is no finish line. When you give yourself a finish line, and a strict deadline to reach your goals, you are going to be bummed out and disappointed when you don't reach them in a certain amount of time. You shouldn't be viewing health and fitness as this thing that you pick up for a few weeks and then put it back in the closet to collect dust. Health and fitness is a lifelong journey, and it's a lifestyle change. When you view it like that, you are going to be more kind and forgiving to yourself going forward.
If you are seeking results with fat loss, or with muscle gain... you won't get there from solely relying on exercise and activity. If you want to start seeing results (losing fat, gaining muscle) then it is crucial that you have your diet and nutrition dialed in. You can exercise all you want, but if you aren't mindful of how much you are eating, you are going to spin your wheels and not get anywhere!
When it comes to fitness, you shouldn't be approaching it with that 'all or nothing' mindset that so many of you struggle with. You do NOT have to be perfect when it comes to fitness. You are a human being, you are going to slip up. Stop setting so many unrealistic expectations. Start small, and build upon it. You don't have to go from 0 to 100 overnight. That's how you get burned out and it makes you want to give up altogether.
