Last October we discussed the Tales from the Crypt episode of All Through The House; this week we return to the source material but this time in the 1972's Tales from the Crypt film. This edition of Stocking Stuffers is unique, in that the episode of TV we're covering is only 7 minutes long. "All Through The House" is the lone Christmas episode of Netflix's animated anthology series Love Death & Robots. It's also a perfect fit for our show's often macabre and off-kilter grasp of the holidays. But since the episode is so short, Joe and Bradford take the opportunity to discuss a wide array of subjects. Bradford's experiments with DIY salsa, Brach's latest attempt to ruin candy corn forever, and the recent news of HBO Max's impending demise. We cover a lot of ground on this episode, and we hope you're okay with that! (The actual show discussion begins at 17:00) Questions/Comments? Brett and Cliff's worlds collide this week as Christmas meets horror. We look at a 1989 episode of Tales from The Crypt, All Through The House. Which is a revamped version of a 1972 section of an Amicus anthology where the TV show got its name from. Joan Collins stars in the original, Robert Zemeckis directs the newer one. What could possibly go wrong? There's also a special Xmas tune from our good friends The Mariners. So stay tuned to the end for that, See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
'PostMortem' is feeling a bit festive this year, so let the axe-mas slayings begin! This week, the podcast focuses on a low budget indie flick with more Christmas lights than the Rockefeller tree. It's a yuletide massacre with a killer Santa whose sack of gifts is filled with so much holiday "cheer", it's sure to "delight". This week, ALL THROUGH THE HOUSE, is the featured review of the week. Also on this week's episode, some "blitzen" comments on another holiday feature (this one for the whole family) known as 8-BIT CHRISTMAS, and we unwrap your host's opinions on two new series; BLADE RUNNER: BLACK LOTUS and HAWKEYE. Aaaaaand, it wouldn't be an axe-mas style episode if we didn't have some fun filled, satire-fueled rants about streaming app screwups and social media mishaps! It's a hap-hap-happy dance down melody lane this week, one you don't want to miss!*Check out What Lurks Behind Podcast Zero on social media at Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.*All podcast episodes are available through most major podcast streaming apps.

This week the boys reign in the holidays with a lot of talk about SUPERNATURAL. For some reason... again...But eventually they find their way to a review of Shudder's new satanic, prego-horror original, ANYTHING FOR JACKSON. ...Or Patrick? Or was it Kevin? (Eric can't seem to remember.) They wrap up their month of "Holiday Tubi Roulette" with ALL THROUGH THE HOUSE. Thus putting a bow on this year's Santa slasher series. And this one is, let's say "problematic." So join us for some horror cheer, yuletide gore and some staunch cynicism. Happy holidays!d r i n k t h e k o o l - a i d / / h a v e a g r e a t d a y What did you think of ANYTHING FOR JACKSON? Let us know! Three years ago, we interviewed a fantastic duo, a brother/sister horror filmmaking team. First, we were lucky enough to interview the badass and talented actress and cosplayer, Ashley Mary Nunes to discuss her acting journey from acting in homemade horror films to eventually becoming a Scream Queen in such horror classics as All Through The House. Then through Ashley, we were able to sit down and discuss another awesome journey with her brother, Horror-film writer and director, Todd Nunes! With Todd we tracked his foray into the genre from creating horror-inspired plays at school to ultimately hitting the festival circuits with his original stories. After these fantastic podcast interviews, we started one of our first Hollywood Hustle traditions: our Annual #HalloweenHustle Horror Film Commentary episodes every Halloween with Team Hustle and Team Nunes! Year One we started with John Carpenter's classic "Halloween". Year Two saw James Wan's "The Conjuring" strike the podcast waves. Next week we'll be releasing our third annual Halloween Commentary, featuring the original "Child's Play" and Ashley and Todd Nunes will be joining Daniel and Michael once more! Before we release the horror commentary, we wanted to re-introduce our longtime listeners as well as new listeners to Team Nunes, so we're sharing some of the best clips from both of their individual episodes. Ashley and Todd are perfect examples of the "Hollywood Hustle" spirit and are all about paving your own way in LA. Here are some of the fun stories you'll be hearing today: - A perfect example of just how small of a city Los Angeles truly is - Ashley's and Todd's introduction to horror movies and what inspired them to dive further into the genre - Ashley Nunes first role as a killer stuffed animal - Powerful examples of why you need to choose to do what you love vs. Settling for what you don't want - Todd Nunes recounting of how he filmed his first horror film SCARY LARRY immediately after graduating from film school and learning how to command a set as a director PLUS CATCH SOME EXCITING NEWS ON TEAM HUSTLE: - Our host Daniel Tuttel is expecting his second child TODAY on October 22nd! Send your warm wishes to him @DanielTuttel on Twitter/IG! - Our co-host Michael Lutheran is getting married this week! Send congrats and advice to @MichaelLutheran on Twitter/IG! Now......Let the Hustle Begin Make sure to leave us a review and comment on Apple Podcasts and Stitcher Radio and to share this show with other amazing hustlers in your life so that we can continue to grow this community! Our journey to Halloween continues, this episode begins with the guys discussing their “homework”. First up is Basket Case. Did John like it, are his comparisons to CHUD warranted? Male bush and more are discussed. Then, Michael J gives his thoughts on Demons and his thoughts are surprising to John. They wonder why an Italian language track wasn’t included, as a result some of the dubbing seems out of place, which, in Michael J’s opinion makes it humorous at times. Is Demons the Italian equivalent of Evil Dead? We debate whether or not Mike Flannigan can save Ouija and more! Writer/Producer Jimmy George joins us to discuss in depth the challenges of micro-budget film production and proves that it can be done and be very rewarding. Fans of WNUF: HALLOWEEN SPECIAL and indie film fans will get a lot of insight and inspiration from this discussion. We also get into his newly released comic book series, BURIAL PLOTS and more! The treats keep coming at Press Play as Actor/Producer/Composer Lito Velasco joins us to discuss his numerous projects, most recently, the horror film ALL THROUGH THE HOUSE. We explore his inspirations, acting methodology, and more. Be warned, our discussion of ALL THROUGH THE HOUSE is SPOILER HEAVY and we recommend viewing the film before listening to this segment of the show. We also talk with Lito about his thoughts on PHANTASM: RAVAGER, is it the proper sendoff that phans have been clamoring for? All that and more on this jam packed episode that you can’t miss! So rent smart and remember, “Be Kind…Rewind”.
