Synopsis Red Christmas follows a blended family headed by matriarch Diane (Dee Wallace) as they prepare to celebrate Christmas together. When an unexpected cloaked figure pops up on their doorstep and insists on reading a letter he wrote for his mother to the family, long time secrets Diane has been keeping are revealed, along with a suspicious murderous spree. Review There is a fine line between a campy movie and a really bad movie, and this film toes that line swimmingly. The movie is insane, it makes no sense at times, it's funny, it's wacky, it has really good kills, and it's a Christmas movie. What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than to watch someone get axed hotdog style. I like this movie for its campiness, it's very entertaining and while a lot of the plot is not logical, it is a fun slasher movie that you can enjoy with a cup of hot cocoa and some figgy pudding. It's not the best movie of all time but it's not trying to be. It's trying to be a campy slasher romp, and that's exactly what it is. If you can ignore the screwed up ‘message' of the movie and just focus on how lovely Dee Wallace is, then you can enjoy this film. Score 7/10

To put it simply, Michael Leavy was born a filmmaker. Ever since he learned what a movie was he has dreamed of making them. Fortunately, it didn't take long for that dream to become a reality. Michael began shooting his own films and taught himself how to edit at an early age and has perfected his craft ever since. From the early days of using a paper-towel roll to scroll credits, all the way through mastering Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere, his passion has never left. Michael almost single-handedly ran his high school's television studio; anchoring the show each morning and creating more skits and short films than anyone else in the studio's history. Michael received his Bachelor's Degree in TV & Film from Saint John's University and also took graduate classes to further his knowledge. In 2010 Michael Leavy, along with his brother Jason Leavy and Steven Della Salla, established a production company, Fuzz on the Lens Productions. In 2014 Fuzz on the Lens' received worldwide fame with their viral 'Staten Island Clown" publicity stunt. Michael has directed/produced a comedy/fantasy entitled "Abnormal Attraction" starring Malcom McDowell, Gilbert Gottfried, Tyler Mane, Leslie Easterbrook, and academy award nominee Bruce Davison. Michael is most known for starring as 'Will the Exterminator' in the now cult classic original 'Terrifier". More recently, Michael was one of the Producers and the Assistant Director of the Top 10 Box Office success, "Terrifier 2" and is currently Directing / Producing Fuzz on the Lens Productions next horror feature, "Stream", which stars horror icons; Jeffrey Combs, Danielle Harris, Tony Todd, Tim Reid, Dee Wallace, Daniel Roebuck, Felissa Rose, Dave Sheridan, Mark Holton, Damian Maffei and Art the Clown himself, David Howard Thornton. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/steven-cuoco/support

Every Friday during Halloween Humpfest is devoted to those Friday Night Fiends. Iconic creatures and monsters who give us the chills and today is the second of three werewolf flicks for the month. Dee Wallace plays “Karen” a TV news anchor who is being stalked by a predatory serial killer. She, quite bravely, attempts to entrap her stalker in the back of a porn store where police barely arrive in time to save her. She's traumatized into amnesia and this dude is in her dreams, day and night, so her psychiatrist decides to send her and her husband to a retreat with a lot of folksy music. Ok, so it's inhabited by a commune of werewolf swingers. Sure, they don't say or show too much swinger stuff but you can tell what's going on here. It's kind of a sexy movie. That one lady is in heat. We're talking Joe Dante's reverential werewolf horror from 1981, “THE HOWLING” also starring Patrick Macnee, Christopher Stone & Slim Pickens. Yes, Slim Pickens. Imagine him in a werewolf orgy. Maybe he wanted to throw himself on that fire because he couldn't participate in the werewolf orgy anymore? Happens to the best of us. Dee Wallace Live on Game Changers With Vicki Abelson Dee Wallace has been a literal life changer for me, let alone a game changer in the business of show and as a self-creation healer. We signed up for a session as soon as I got off the interweb tonight. I've been employing Dee's techniques since first we met at Women Who Write in 2011. I got refresher courses every time she came back to the living room and the numerous times she's guested on this show in its various incarnations. I realized today, looking back and listening to a couple of our past shows, that I've manifested almost everything I was working on with her guidance. A couple of desires remain, so tomorrow I'll resume in earnest the practice I've been somewhat lax with since I got happy. With close to 300 screen credits to her name, including The Howling, Cujo, 10, and most notably, her starring role in E.T. (I can't NOT watch it when I see it's on), Dee was more recently featured in the remake of Rob Zombie's Halloween, has made recurring appearances on 9 -1 -1, has 11 projects in post as I write, and another two dozen films and TV roles since last we met three years ago. Dee is indefatigable! Her countless television credits include starring roles in over twenty Movies of the Week and four hit television series, including Sons and Daughters, Grey's Anatomy, Cold Case, Without a Trace, Ghost Whisperer, a recurring role on My Name is Earl, and the Amazon young adult hit, Just Add Magic. We talked about pretty much none of them— other than a great story about E.T… Steven Speilberg, and Dee, using her tools and being in the moment. There's also a great story about Cujo, Dee's favorite role, and the film we're gonna hunker down with tonight, armed with a little new knowledge. What we did focus on was how to manifest what we want. Dee helped a listener get clarity to move forward, once again helped direct me, offered hope on the impending election, and how each of us can strengthen the collective consciousness on a daily basis. The hour is ripe with gems of practical application. Dee shared how it's worked and continues to, in her life… how the tools graced her with motherhood and now a beloved grandchild, and why she's as busy as ever - not at all slowed by her age, or the state of the business. Dee conducts a live (call-in) internet radio show and offers monthly webinars on a variety of self-creation subjects. She invites us to join her with our questions. She also conducts private sessions from her home by phone. For more info: https://iamdeewallace.com We're in! I'll be doing my Dee routine daily and shall report back with my progress. Suffice it to say my life is a world of better than it was when I met her. And, yeah, I'm saying she helped me manifest it. My gratitude abounds! To say that Douglas Vermeeren is one of the busiest actors filming roles in feature films in Europe and the USA is an understatement. To keep up with his roles in productions in 2024, let's start with the Western “Unnatural 2,” Douglas plays Lucifer, directed by Whit Whitman and shot in Kentucky in May 2024 for Little Monsters Productions. He then flew to attend the Cannes Film Festival before booking a role as gangster Archie Baker in “Clean Right Hook,” shot in London, UK, in Late May /early June 2024, directed by Sam Purewal for Black Coppice Productions, Then back to the US for “Deadly Endings” shot in New Haven CT in June 2024. Douglas plays Bradley West with filmmaker Richard Harlost. Douglas also found time to shoot the role of Raynard in “Alien Horde,” his second film with Mahal Empire. And if that's not enough, you can see Douglas in Paramount+'s six-episode documentary series “Mafia Spies,” now streaming. Based on the book Mafia Spies: The Inside Story of the CIA, Gangsters, JFK, and Castro. On the film festival circuit, Douglas is proud of two independent feature films, “Jack Knife” and “Tenants,” which are winning awards worldwide. Other roles include starring alongside former WWE star Al Snow in “Homeless for the Holidays.” As Callum in “Bikers Vs. Werewolves” with Robert LaSardo and Michael Pare. As Denver Haywood in “The Boy From Below” with Dee Wallace and Leah Voysey. As Neal in “Skate to Hell” with Eric Roberts, Todd Bridges, Jenna Jameson and Robert Carradine.
