Their relationship was far from perfect - Barbara was disappointed in her son's homosexuality and determined to cure him. Both experienced mental health issues, especially Tony, who was eventually diagnosed with paranoid Schizophrenia. Barbara wouldn't let that come between them, though, not even after Tony's psychiatrist told her, "Your son is going to kill you."
