A new year always means more important anniversaries. We hate to remind our more veteran listeners that the year 1985 is 40 (!!) years old now! It was an important and pivotal year for Metaldom, to which the effects are still being felt today. So this time we're going deep into '85. We're going over some of the fantastic albums that hit the racks and some of the amazing bands that first hit the garage. Great times! In our "News, Views and Tunes", we discuss the LA fires and the "Invoking Yell" black metal found footage film. Musically, we crank Grave Digger, Bloodfeast, Minor Threat, Savage Grace, Impaler, Extreme Noise Terror, Black Lace, Satanic Slaughter, Sadistik Executioner, Axetasy and we introduce ChiTown's Gloryhole Guillotine (!!) in our "Indie Spotlight". Horns Up!
Michigan Rock Vocal/bassist/songwriter legend Al Jacquez is no stranger to the music business. Straddling the comforts of positivity post-Savage Grace (which formed out of The Scarlet Letter), Jacquez looks back in fondness and care at the legend that Warner Brothers once held high on its record label. Jacquez maintained the rougher elements of the final years of the band and the reunion album that was released nearly 20 years ago helped cement credibility, friendships, and the magic that the group once had. They released Savage Grace I, II and in 2006 a reunion album (III) called One Night In America. Still at the top of the vocal game, Jacquez performed as a member of the Dick Wagner Band during Wagner's final touring years and has continued to sing the songs he was known for from the late '60s and early '70s, amongst many others. Always surrounded with great guitar partners, Jacquez still touts Savage Grace partner Ron Koss as a favorite, as well as Silver Bullet Band's Drew Abbott, whom he plays with on occasion. Jacquez was inducted with Savage Grace into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame in 2021 and performed in Bay City the day after taping this historical podcast at the MMHP Dunlop Songwriters Stage. Al offers up live songs, the move back to Michigan, backstory on the reunion album, the abundance of his faith, the loss of Ron Koss and why his voice continues to be his most important tool--all here in Part 2 of 2. PipemanRadio talks with Christian of Savage Grace about their new album and what a masterpiece itr is. We discussed how the musicianship and talent has gotten better. The album has the foundation of 80's Savage Grace with a modern musicianship to it. They also discuss the old days and how Pipeman became a casualty of the LA Metal Scene. On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Chris from Savage Grace. After many years, they have reconnected, and Pipeman is excited to hear about Savage Grace's new album, which he thinks is the best they have ever produced. Chris is glad Pipeman appreciates their new music, as they have put a lot of effort into creating it. Chris mentions that despite people saying that Savage Grace's next record will not be as good as their previous albums, the band's music just keeps getting better, and this new album is no exception. Pipeman commends the incredible vocals in their music, which he says give him chills. Chris explains that the goal of the new album is to recreate the feeling of 1978 when bands played arena shows all over the US, such as REO Speedwagon, Ted Nugent, and Molly Hatchet. Chris wanted to create that ambiance and feeling in the new album. He also wanted to incorporate threads of the old Savage Grace music in the instrumentals, such as Saxon, Motorhead, and Priest, to bring people back to the late seventies and early eighties. Chris mentions that they have updated the themes lyrically to be more relevant to today's society, as the world has changed since their previous albums. Pipeman agrees that the new album is a modernized version of Savage Grace's old music, with many relevant themes for 2023. He notes that while many bands nowadays still rely on their old music, Savage Grace has managed to modernize their sound while still retaining their originality. Chris agrees that they have updated their music without losing their musical identity. Be sure to check out the new album as soon as it comes out very soon, with the video for Stealing My Heart coming out on May 5th, which is going to blow you away so be sure not to miss that one. We ended '22 with some absolutely gut wrenching news. We lost documentarian, journalist and all around great guy, Bob Nalbandian. Bob's credentials are vast. He's worked with renowned record labels and wrote for promininent magazines. Most importantly, he was a friend. RAM was on the ground floor in podcasting. As was his "Shockwaves" program. So of course we became fast friends. So this time 'round we forsake most of our segments and just talk Bob. We go over his "Inside Metal" doc series, his old school "Headbanger" 'zine and all our interactions with him. Musically, we have a Fistful of Bob approved Metal including Blind Illusion, Laaz Rockitt, Hirax, Abattoir, Savage Grace, Omen, Cloven Hoof, Witchfynde and Hell Witch. Rest In Power, Bob! We love you! This Episode is sponsored by Trve Kvlt Coffee. Summon the coffee demons to possess yourself a cup today! Follow us on Twitter and Instagram

Evidence photos @ https://talkmurder.com/barbara-baekeland//The twisted murder and suicide of Barbara Daly Baekeland and her son Antony Baekeland is both unbelievable and tragic. The story itself are crazy enough to make a movie about, which they did called Savage Grace, but it features all the scandalous factors that copywriters absolutely love to sell newspapers: money, greed, sex (well… incest), infertility, and of course blood and murder.

Ideal Para Llevarte O Regalar Productos Del Podcats De Ivoox.
Psychotherapist, professor, and author Carolyn Baker joins Terry for a sober, deep, and instructive conversation to consider our planetary predicament as a sacred rite of passage that necessitates a “collective descent into the darkness,” the possibility of our collective “sacred demise”, and the possibility of a collective rebirth or “radical regeneration.” They explore which types of leadership and leaders we will need to midwife our human journey through a great transition, perhaps the collapse of our current culture, and Carolyn points to specific actions we can take now — and over the coming years — to become reliable forces of sanity, strength, and generosity to those around us. Carolyn Baker’s mission is to create islands of sanity amidst global chaos and prepare others for the potential consequences of civilizational collapse and abrupt climate change through the development of emotional tools and spiritual transformation. Carolyn was a psychotherapist for 17 years and a professor of psychology and history for 10 years. She is the author of 13 books including Navigating The Coming Chaos, Sacred Demise, and 4 books co-authored with the luminous mystic Andrew Harvey, including Savage Grace, and the forthcoming book Radical Regeneration: Birthing the New Human in the Age of Extinction. For nearly a decade, Carolyn has published a subscription-based Daily News Digest. Additionally, she leads webinars and live workshops, writes articles, and offers life coaching — in the process helping thousands of people navigate the unprecedented challenges of our time. Here are some additional questions we explore: What does it mean to be of service during a “sacred demise” of our current culture, and what would a “radical regeneration” look like and require from us? Like in individual rites of passage, how can cultures and nations also “descend into darkness” and emerge with a transformed identity and way of being? What are the “10 things you can do now” that Carolyn and Andrew Harvey outline in their new book Radical Regeneration? Who will be needed during a period of collapse? What kinds of leadership will we need to serve a “soft landing” on the other side of societal breakdown? Even while much of our world is stuck in old patterns, how can profound spiritual practice be the key “innovation” on behalf of humanity’s ongoing evolution? Here are the “Ten Things We Can Do,” which Carolyn refers to in the episode: Stay Safe: Wear masks when you are outside, continue social distancing as much as possible, and listen carefully to the scientists who are telling us we are in the middle of a second wave of the pandemic. Shun all large gatherings and rallies and find other ways to protest which can be just as effective. Take special care of your health and keep your body vibrant with exercise and good nutrition. The psychological and emotional demands of the unfolding crises will be far more effectively sustained with a healthy body. Whatever your spiritual practice, plunge more deeply than ever into it. It is essential to pursue realization of your true Self with more faith and intensity in these exploding times than ever before. Fill your life with inspiration and beauty. Inspiration will keep your heart buoyant and alive, and beauty will remind you of the magnificence of life and fill you with the energy to want to safeguard it. If you can, spend 20 minutes or more in nature per day, experiencing your oneness with it and drinking in through every pore its steadiness and radiance. Allow yourself to become intimate with the Earth. Stay aware of how the pandemic and economic and environmental crises are evolving. There is no security in denial or ignorance. Learn, however, to pace yourself because the ferocious information you will be taking in can become overwhelming. Take time to grieve. No one will escape heartbreak in a time such as this, and not attending to the suffering of the heart that inevitably rises in the face of so much destruction will lead to severe depression or a kind of inner deadness that makes it impossible to respond creatively. Get support from others who are also grieving. No one should grieve alone, and there is no need to be alone in a crisis that is now global. Renew old friendships and relish and deepen the ones you have because everything now depends on the sanity and joy that only deep friendship and relationship can provide. Take special care and lavish special love on your animal companions, and they will reward you with their tender and miraculous love. Despite being mostly in lockdown, make an effort to practice Sacred Activism by giving wisely to those in need. Food banks need support as do healthcare workers and the homeless who are afraid of going to shelters because they are Petri dishes for the virus. If you are able to assist those in prison by standing up for their rights, or by encouraging them in any way, do so. Take seriously your right to vote, for everything depends throughout the world on turning back the tide of dark money-financed authoritarianism. Use this book as a way of training your inner eyes to see and celebrate the signs of the Birth of a new humanity that are rising everywhere amidst the obviously apocalyptic death. Note the heroism of extraordinary/ordinary people globally who are turning up to serve the sick and dying. Note the heroism of protestors of every color who risk their lives to demand racial justice after the horrific death of George Floyd. Read great evolutionary philosophers and mystics like Sri Aurobindo, Teilhard de Chardin, Bede Griffiths, Satprem, Teresa of Avila, Hildegard of Bingen, and Julian of Norwich, and those who speak of the global dark night, giving birth potentially to an embodied divine humanity. No one plays fucked-up, damaged sexuality quite like Julianne Moore. In SAVAGE GRACE, as the mercurial heiress Barbara Bakeland whose relationship with her son (Eddie Redmayne) goes from over-intimacy to incest, she stops at all the Stations of the Cross of camp insanity. Accosting her philandering husband in an airport while wearing a flagrant red dress? Check. Making her pre-pubescent son recite porn in a foreign language? Check. Having a threesome with said son's male lover? Check. Somehow, despite the hothouse atmosphere, suicide attempts and moody hallucinations, Juli and Eddie somehow manage to make these perverse, insular characters weirdly fun -- that is, until the incestuous sex grows both mechanical and murderous. Brian and Seán debate the merits of this particularly transgressive example of New Queer Cinema but conclude that it is undeniably watchable -- and that no one but Julianne could make all these crazy contradictions cohere -- por el culo!
