Watch on YouTube Join Shane and Makayla of 11th Hour Worship as they sit down with Carson Bruce on The Worship Keys Podcast for a conversation that goes way beyond music. From a calling that started in high school to a John the Baptist "prepare the way" mission, Shane and Makayla open up about hiddenness, character, and obedience as the real foundation of worship leading. They dig into what it means to steward God's presence in corporate worship, why offstage devotion matters most, and how to leave room for genuine flow. Bob Sorge's Ark of the Covenant analogy gives the conversation serious weight, and they get refreshingly practical about Sunday service constraints and training leaders to hear God. The episode wraps with worship lyrics that bring everything back to the feet of Jesus. If you're serious about leading worship from the inside out — don't skip this one.Eleventh Hour WorshipAerospare AudioSupport the showThanks for listening! What is worship worth to us? As the people of God gathered, their fear of the Lord was greater than the fear of the people in the land. With this risk in mind, they still met to worship, because God is worthy of worship.

In the third installment of their "Theological Triage" series, Brian, Will and Thad engaged in a discussion to categorize various Christian beliefs and practices into three tiers of theological importance. The tiers were defined as: Tier 1 (essential to the gospel), Tier 2 (important enough to separate churches over), and Tier 3 (areas where Christians could disagree within the same church). The pastors analyzed a range of topics including church attendance and membership, diversity, social justice, the role of politics from the pulpit, the historical Adam, women's roles in teaching, worship styles, sermon length, Bible translations, and alcohol consumption. Throughout the conversation, they often distinguished between the purely theological importance of an issue and its practical, functional impact on the unity and culture of a specific church community.

Why does the church exist? If our relationships with God are personal, why should Christians gather together? What's the true purpose of worshiping with other people? Whether you've been a believer for a little while or a long time, these are questions you've likely asked yourself. We invite you to listen in as we find the answer in Hebrews and discover why the discipline of corporate worship is a habit we should never neglect.

Nehemiah 12:27-47 | Most versions of Nehemiah 12:27-47 have the heading “the dedication of the wall.” As this passage of scripture unfolds, we'll see much more than just a dedication of a wall, and much more than the celebration of an incredible accomplishment, but an all-out worship service to a sovereign God who always fulfills his promises. This morning we'll unpack four elements of corporate worship we see from this wall dedication, and how they impact the corporate worship gathering today.

In this sermon on Psalm 95, we hear that God’s people are called to gather regularly in corporate worship to sing joyfully, worship humbly, and listen attentively so that they might trust and obey Him faithfully. Failure to do so had tragic consequences.

Serving children in Jesus's name is beautiful and God-pleasing. Gathering for worship is crucial and soul-preserving. So, how much corporate worship should we miss to serve?
Istrouma Baptist Church (ASC) Aug 24, 2025 ========== August 24 - Field Guide Welcome! We're glad you've joined us today for our Sunday morning worship service! For more information about Istrouma, go to istrouma.org or contact us at info@istrouma.org. We glorify God by making disciples of all nations. ========== Connection Card https://istrouma.org/myinfo Guidlines for Corporate Worship 1 Timothy 2:1-15 1 Timothy 2:1-15 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling; likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works. Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. Yet she will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control. 1. Corporate prayer Supplications - Praying for healing in broken families. Prayers - Adoring God's sovereignty in uncertain times. Intercession - Praying for unbelieving friends and families with childlike trust. Thanksgiving - Gratefully recounting God's provision or deliverance. First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions. 1 Tim. 1:1-2a 2. Godly conduct 3. Roles and responsibilities Takeaways for the modern church - Fosters unity and mission focus. - Promotes holiness in worship. - Upholds biblical order for flourishing. - Encourages humility and submission.
