The chemical industry is big business in Louisiana. Companies here manufacture plastics, fuels, pesticides, and cleaning products. But one part of the chemical industry that's often overlooked is the fertilizer business. Today, you're going to hear the story of modern fertilizer, and how this powerful concoction of chemicals has radically reshaped how we farm and what we eat. In this episode, we follow the journey of fertilizer from Louisiana to the Midwest, then back down along the Mississippi River to a place it creates in the Gulf. A place called: The Dead Zone. This episode was produced in collaboration with the Food & Environment Reporting Network, an independent, nonprofit news organization. As Paul turns to Jerusalem (in many ways modeling Jesus's fateful turn toward Jerusalem), we explore ways in which God shares wisdom and even caution with people, but perhaps not to deter them but to more fully prepare them. When facing some of the greatest hardships (as Paul undoubtedly was), God often graciously takes steps to ensure we have counted the cost and fortified our strength, and yet perhaps not our full understanding.
Join us as we dive into Acts 17, where Paul visits Athens, the intellectual heart of the ancient world. Home to great philosophers like Plato, Socrates, and Aristotle, Athens was once the epicenter of philosophy and thought. Discover how Paul engages with this legendary city and its philosophers, sparking new conversations and challenging the ideas of the time.

Advent Week 1: The Silence of Heaven: A 400-Year Prelude to the Savior Join us for a powerful start to the Advent season as we reflect on the 400 years of silence between the Old and New Testaments. In this service, we'll explore the anticipation and longing that filled the silence before the birth of Christ, and how it sets the stage for the greatest story ever told. As we begin our Advent journey, we'll focus on God's faithfulness through the quiet years and prepare our hearts for the coming of our Savior.
God’s Kingdom reaches EVERYONE! Journey with Jesus’s movement through the young church and glean the ways God is still calling ordinary disciples to do extraordinary things.
Join us as Pastor Brent brings us the final stand alone message of the summer as we lead into our fall series on The Book of Acts next week.
This week we explore the somewhat mysterious interactions that Jesus had with two of his apprentices, on the road to Emmaus, who did not recognize him right away (Luke 24:13–35). We see that Jesus provokes our faith with questions, and ultimately offers the great reversal of all that seems to have gone wrong. And it all started on “the day the Revolution began.”
What is 'goodness'? How do we define this flavor of the Fruit of the Spirit? In order to grasp what it is we are experiencing in the goodness of God, we need to first come to grips with how God defines goodness (instead of our own definitions and standards). From there, because we increasingly look like those we are around the most, we will increasingly see goodness grow in us and through us.
Welcome to the eleventh and final week of the "World Religions in 7 Sentences" Wednesday Night Community series with Pastor Brent Cunningham!
Peter's denial (and subsequent restoration) serves as a model for each of us. Explore the ways we are not defined by our failures and the ways the Lord can even use them for redemptive purposes in others.

In anticipation and preparation for Jesus's ultimate sacrifice, he is anointed in a surprising way by his followers. As a point of reflection, this episode begs the question: What is it that we most deeply adore? What is it that we find most valuable?
Welcome to the kickoff of the World Religions in 7 Sentences Wednesday Night Community series with Pastor Brent Cunningham!
What we believe about death must be informed by the words of the one who comes from God and conquered death. In looking at Jesus's response to challenges from the Sadducees, Pastor Brent takes us on an exploration of the most applicable topic possible.
Pastor Brent joins us at Timberline Windsor as we continue our series on The Book of Mark.
On our first week of "Reflections C.S. Lewis 60 Years Later" with Pastor Brent Cunningham, we will be looking at the life of C.S. Lewis and more. Thank you for tuning in!
In a shocking interaction, it seems that Jesus is being quite rude (if not even racist) to a woman. Pastor Brent helps us see that in this very incident Jesus is in fact breaking the back of such thinking and initiating radical inclusion - by which ALL PEOPLE are now included and welcomed into the family of God!
Pastor Brent guides us through an important study on the nature and origins of hostile spiritual forces. Because Jesus and his apostles clearly faced them, we need to see them the way that they did and from there glean implications for our lives and the world around us.
On our ninth week of "Cultural Wars, & Christian Ethics" with Pastor Brent Cunningham, we will be looking at what the Bible has to say about race, gender, sexuality, politics, and more. Thank you for tuning in!
Tonight is Good Friday. Two days before Easter, we remember and reflect on the crucifixion of our Lord. The Apostle Paul reminds us that it was through the cross of Christ that God was “canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands . . . nailing it to the cross” (Colossians 2:13-15). Pastor Brent Cunningham will be teaching out of Matthew 26:14-29, looking at how Jesus used a Passover meal to explain what he was about do through his death and resurrection. We encourage you to find elements of bread and juice to participate in communion with us toward the end of the service.

In this weekend's passage we encounter continued (and even surprising) pushback against Jesus. How can His people ensure that we are unreservedly following God’s will, and not slip into wayward and even evil resistance?

The Gospel of Mark opens up essentially mid-story with Jesus’s life and ministry. Join us as we begin the good news account of Jesus – a new promise and invitation to hope, help, and healing!

With only two more weeks left in our Playlist series, we turn our focus to the way our songs of worship serve to not only express our theology, but also form it. We will become like that which we worship.
This weekend we continue our Playlist series where we have been looking at worship - the lifting of our voices and our hearts before God. In this message we are looking specifically at suffering.
Welcome to this weekend’s service. Ever wonder why so many of Jesus’ miracles centered around the dangerous Sea of Galilee? We invite you join us as we explore how the ancient biblical authors thought of “the seas” as chaos waters. This ominous role that the seas played in the minds of the biblical authors can be seen from page one of the Bible all the way to the very end — “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.” (Rev 21:1).
