Calgary Transit ridership is up, but the annual operating budget is facing a shortfall that will threaten service levels for Calgarians. How can the city effectively address funding issues for Calgary transit? Vicinity Motor Corp (CVE:VMC) (OTCQX:BUSXF) (FRA:6LG) CEO William Trainer tells Proactive it has won a 'industry milestone contact' with Calgary Transit to supply 14 of its Vicinity Lightning electric vehicle (EV) buses valued at more than C$6.0 million. Trainer says the initial 14 EV bus order is for delivery in 2022, with Calgary Transit having the option to purchase supplemental vehicles at a set price over a five-year period.
