0219 Female Led Relationships: Using Edging for Control, Connection, and Denial

Krystine's FLR Podcast

Leave us a messge!!////RE-RELEASE////In this back catalog re-release of Krystine's FLR Podcast, I talk about edging and how it can be used inside a female-led relationship. This episode is the first part of a three-episode plan where I wanted to talk about edging first, then orgasm denial and orgasm control, and then eventually bring my subbie on to talk about whether these things are actually necessary for a successful long-term female-led relationship.I start by breaking down the stages of orgasm, because understanding arousal matters if you are going to talk about edging. Edging is basically getting yourself or your partner right to the edge of orgasm, stopping the stimulation, letting things calm down, and then starting again. It can be done alone or with a partner, and it can create stronger orgasms, more awareness of your body, and a deeper sense of connection.I also talk about why people need to know their own bodies before they can expect a partner to know what works for them. Masturbation, sex toys, communication, and self-exploration should not carry shame. If you do not know what feels good to you, how are you supposed to explain that to someone else?Inside an FLR, edging can be used in a lot of different ways. It can be punishment, reward, foreplay, denial, connection, mindfulness, or just something fun and hot to explore together. For me, the most interesting part is how intentional it can make both partners. You have to pay attention. You have to know your partner's signs. You have to communicate what you want from the experience. The biggest takeaway is that edging is another tool you can use in your relationship if it works for you. It does not have to be part of every FLR, but it can absolutely add power, control, anticipation, and connection when both people are into it.5 Talking PointsWhat edging actually isI explain edging in simple terms: getting yourself or your partner right to the edge of orgasm, stopping stimulation, letting the body calm down, and then starting again. Why edging can make orgasms strongerOne of the biggest reasons people practice edging is because it can make the final orgasm feel more intense, last longer, or feel more powerful.Know your body before expecting someone else to know itI talk about why self-exploration matters. If you do not know what turns you on or what feels good, it is much harder to communicate that to a partner.Sex toys are not a threatI push back on the idea that a woman using a vibrator or toy means her partner is not enough. Toys can add sensation, variety, and intensity. They should not automatically be taken as an insult. How edging can fit into an FLREdging can be used as punishment, reward, foreplay, denial, or connection. Like everything else in a female-led relationship, how you use it depends on your dynamic, your communication, and what works for both of you.To find that Audio versions of the FLR Skool courses, just click here.Or FLRSkool SubscribeSupport the showWant to keep this conversation going?Join us inside FLRSkool.com — where real couples are having real conversations about female-led relationships! The witches sit down with Patti Negri, the “Good Witch of Hollywood,” psychic medium, paranormal investigator, and author of Dollcraft: A Witch's Guide to Poppet Magick & Haunted Dolls, for a conversation about what happens when witchcraft and ghost hunting collide.Patti shares her approach to paranormal investigation as a practicing witch, while the witches explore haunted objects, spirit communication, and the strange questions that arise when witchcraft and ghost hunting overlap. And apparently Patti didn't come to the interview entirely alone. While recording, Laylla and Chelle noticed some unusual activity on Patti's video, including mysterious orbs moving through the room and a few particularly intriguing moments involving the dolls behind her. Was it dust, light, camera weirdness, or did some of Patti's otherworldly housemates decide they wanted a little screen time too?The evidence may be open to interpretation, but one thing is certain: Patti's energetic dolls seemed very interested in being part of the conversation! So turn down the lights, grab your favorite protective charm, and listen closely. You never know who, or what, might be listening along with you!Got a question? Leave us a messge!!In this back catalog re-release of Krystine's FLR Podcast, I continue the listener Ask Me Anything episode with my subbie joining me again to answer questions about our real-life female-led relationship. This episode covers everything from tattoos and piercings to chastity, parenting, kink, FLR labels, cuckolding, friendship, trust, and whether I would ever play with another submissive. Some of the questions get personal, but that is part of why I love this kind of episode. It gives me a chance to talk openly about the difference between fantasy, reality, communication, and what actually works inside our relationship. One of the biggest topics in this episode is how much your teen children should or should not know about a parent's FLR or kinky lifestyle. I talk about the fact that my teen kids do not know the sexual details of our relationship, but they do understand that I am the decision maker in the house. I also talk about how being a parent does not mean you stop being a human being with needs, desires, identity, and a private life.We also talk about labels, why some people want them, and why others avoid them. Some couples may already be living a female-led relationship without ever calling it that. For some men, the label can feel validating because it gives the dynamic structure and weight. For others, the label may feel too exposed because FLR still carries a social stigma.Later in the episode, we get into whether I would ever play with another submissive or another dominant man as part of teasing, cuckolding, or power exchange. The answer, like so many things in this lifestyle, is that it depends on the person, the connection, the trust, and the communication. Nothing is really off the table in theory, but anything that happens has to be grounded in safety, honesty, and the foundation of our relationship. At the heart of this episode is the same thing this podcast has always been about: we are two people madly in love, sharing what we know from the life we actually live. This is about honest conversation, building community, answering questions, and helping people feel less alone in their own dynamics.5 Talking PointsContinuing the listener Ask Me AnythingI answer more listener questions with my subbie, and we talk through some of the more personal, complicated, and honest parts of our FLR.Children, privacy, and living an FLR as a parentI talk about whether our kids know about our lifestyle, what they do and do not know, and why being a parent does not mean you stop being an individual with your own private life. The power and problem of labelsWe talk about how some people may already be living in an FLR without using that label. For some people, the words “female-led relationship” can feel validating. For others, the label can feel risky because of the stigma attached to it.Trust is the foundation of any expanded dynamicWhether the topic is cuckolding, playing with another submissive, or involving another dominant personality, the answer always comes back to trust, communication, safety, and the strength of the relationship. This podcast is about community, not perfectionI talk about wanting more listener questions and conversations because this podcast is not about pretending we have all the answers. It is about sharing what we live, giving our opinions, and building a community where people can talk honestly. To find that Audio versions of the FLR Skool courses, just click here.Or FLRSkool SubscribeSupport the showWant to keep this conversation going?Join us inside FLRSkool.com — where real couples are having real conversations about female-led relationships! Welcome back, witches! Today we're talking about Waste Not, Want Not Magick, because contrary to what the internet may have led us to believe, your spell does not require a pricey bank breaking crystal, a rare herb harvested under a blood moon, and a candle in a color that apparently only exists on Etsy, in order to work.Witchcraft has always been about working with what is around you. The herbs in the kitchen, the weeds growing through the cracks, the stone you found on a walk, the old key in the junk drawer, the candle stub you refused to throw away because, obviously, it still has at least one good spell left in it.In this episode, we're looking at the magick already hiding in plain sight. We'll talk about honoring the natural energies and histories of everyday objects, finding correspondences through intuition and observation, working with the land around you, and turning scraps, leftovers, broken things, and ordinary household objects into useful magical tools.Because being a witch is not about owning the most stuff. It's about knowing how to see the spirit, purpose, and possibility in the stuff you already have.So grab your half-burned candles, your suspicious collection of empty jars, and whatever weird little treasures you've been saving because “I might use that for witchcraft someday.”Today is someday.Got a question? Leave us a messge!!In this back catalog re-release of Krystine's FLR Podcast, I answer listener questions in an “Ask Me Anything” episode with my subbie joining me to give his side of the dynamic. This episode gets into some of the more intimate and honest parts of our female-led relationship, including forced bi, chastity, denial, release schedules, whether orgasms are reward-based or pleasure-based, and what the actual goal of chastity is in our relationship.I talk about the importance of communication, boundaries, and safe words, especially when you are dealing with fantasies or activities that push someone outside of their comfort zone. We also talk about how chastity is not just a game or a short-term challenge for us. It has become part of our lifestyle, our connection, and the quiet background of our dynamic. One of the biggest themes in this episode is that denial does not equal unhappiness. My husband is denied often, sometimes for long stretches of time, and he still describes this as the happiest time of his life. For us, chastity and denial are not about punishment alone. They are about connection, control, closeness, service, and reinforcing who leads and who follows. We also talk about why I like having my subbie on the podcast. A lot of my listeners are men, and I think hearing from someone who lives as a submissive husband every day can be helpful. At the heart of this episode is the same goal I have had from the beginning: to build a real community where people can ask questions, talk honestly, and feel less alone in this lifestyle.5 Talking PointsAsk Me Anything: real listener questionsI answer questions sent in by a listener, and my subbie joins me to offer his perspective as someone living this female-led dynamic every day.Forced bi, boundaries, and safe wordsI talk through the idea of forced bi, the difference between fantasy and actual consent, and why communication and safe words matter before stepping into anything that pushes comfort zones.Denial does not mean unhappinessWe talk openly about how often I deny my husband and how he can still be genuinely happy, fulfilled, and connected inside that denial.Chastity as lifestyle, not a short-term goalChastity is not really a challenge or temporary exercise for us. It has become part of our daily life, our bond, and the way our power exchange quietly exists in the background.Building a real FLR communityI talk about wanting my subbie on the podcast more often because many listeners are men who may benefit from hearing his side. Let me know what you think of this episode? When your results start slipping, do you hustle harder or question who you are? Jake Giffin joins us to discuss that the real issue usually isn't tactics, it's identity, and identity is tied to proximity. Jake is the founder and CEO of Halo Home Services, a leadership and sales coach, and the creator of the D6 coaching model, a framework designed to help men reverse engineer their outcomes and get back into alignment with God. If you've ever felt confident when you're winning and crushed when you're not, this conversation puts language on why.We dig into what it means to “rewire” or “reprogram” the mind as a Christian without turning faith into a self-help project. Jake connects modern psychology with biblical psychology, measuring tools like transactional analysis and NLP against Scripture, then grounding the process in Romans 12:2, taking thoughts captive, and the put off and put on pattern. We also use Galatians 5 as a practical diagnostic: if the fruit of the Spirit isn't showing up, what are you actually walking in, and what belief system is feeding it?We go straight at the common reasons Christian men feel passive, numb, or stuck even when they believe in God: shame, distance, and the subtle lie of “I'm basically fine.” Jake explains how a man's identity drives beliefs, beliefs drive conduct, and conduct creates the conditions he lives in, for better or worse. He also shares his upcoming book, Made Man, plus a free assessment at mademan.net/assessment for anyone who wants to get honest about their current results. If this hit home, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs a reset, and leave a review on Apple Podcasts so more people can find the show. And does a stepmom need to attend parent-teacher conferences to prove she cares? In this episode of The Stepmom Side Podcast, Alicia shares her experience of feeling ignored, displaced, and unsure where she belonged during school events. She also explains why she sometimes chose not to attend parent-teacher conferences when her role felt unclear.Alicia helps stepmoms prepare for school concerts, sporting events, open houses, conferences, and other activities without forcing an uncomfortable version of “happy co-parenting.”In this episode, Alicia discusses:Why school events can intensify outsider syndrome for stepmomsDeciding whether divorced parents and stepparents should sit togetherWhy separate seating may sometimes be the healthiest optionPlanning for each school event individuallyWhat to do when a partner's ex ignores or excludes the stepmomHow to respond when a partner acts differently around their ex...and more. There is no universal rule that says every blended family must sit together or attend every event as one group. Send us Fan MailHoi An is undeniably touristy. But after a few days wandering its lantern-lit streets, eating our way through some of the most unique food we found in Vietnam, and soaking up its beautiful old-world charm, I came away thinking: this place is touristy for a reason. In this episode, we explore Hoi An's incredible food scene, from bánh bèo and white rose dumplings to cao lầu and endless cups of MOT herbal tea, while also navigating crowded markets, aggressive haggling, a somewhat questionable beach adventure, and some delightfully awkward interviews with local students. The front porch is more than a place for welcome mats, 'HARVEST' signs, and suspiciously loud wind chimes. It is the threshold between the outside world and the sanctuary of the home, making it one of the most important spaces for household protection, energy setting, and hearth magick. In this episode, Laylla and Chelle explore the superstitions and magical practices surrounding front doors, porches, entryways, and the paths that lead to them. They talk about brooms across the doorway and the many ways people have tried to keep harmful forces out while making sure good fortune stays inside.Whether your entrance is a sprawling farmhouse porch, an apartment hallway, or a single doormat outside your door, this episode offers practical ways to turn it into a magical boundary that welcomes peace, friendship, and abundance while firmly telling anything troublesome to keep moving.Got a question? Let me know what you think of this episode? Some trauma is fueled by fear. Some trauma is fueled by guilt, shame, and the quiet sentence, “I can't be forgiven.” That's where the idea of moral injury changes the entire conversation about PTSD, spiritual health, and what real healing requires. We talk with Navy chaplain Larry Blant, who brings 25 years of pastoral ministry, years of police and fire chaplaincy, and combat experience with Marines in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Larry explains PTSD as fear-based trauma and moral injury as the deeper wound that forms when you do something, are ordered to do something, or fail to prevent something that violates your core moral and spiritual beliefs. If you've ever heard someone say, “My soul feels shattered,” Larry helps us name what's happening and why a quick fix rarely works. We also get practical: how to find a safe place to tell the story, why many people pull away from family and church, and how programs like Building Spiritual Strength bring pastoral counseling and mental health care together for veterans and active duty service members. Along the way, Larry shares what he learned as an ICU chaplain during COVID, what effective VA support can look like, and how grace can rebuild a person's faith, relationships, and sense of self even when the memories don't disappear. If you care about veterans, first responders, trauma recovery, spiritual care, or church leadership, this conversation offers language, warning signs, and a hopeful path forward. Back-to-school planning can get complicated quickly in a blended family. Who buys the school supplies and clothes? Who completes registration forms, manages transportation, receives school updates, and pays for extracurricular activities? And how involved should a stepmom be when she is affected by these decisions but may not have decision-making authority? In this episode, Alicia shares how back-to-school responsibilities changed when her stepson moved into her home full time—and why responsibility, access, and authority need to be discussed individually. She explains how stepmoms and their partners can divide the workload, prepare for different routines between homes, and prevent one person from silently becoming responsible for everything.Alicia discusses:Deciding who purchases school supplies, clothes, shoes, and equipmentReviewing the parenting agreement before requesting reimbursementDividing registration, forms, transportation, and school communicationChoosing whether a stepmom wants to be an emergency contact or approved for pickup....and more! There is no universal formula for dividing back-to-school responsibilities in a blended family. In honor of Lugh, a deity of skill, mastery, leadership, and craft, Laylla and Chelle explore the talents we are born with, the skills we have earned through practice, and the quiet forms of wisdom we often forget to recognize as magick. What have you been growing within yourself? Which abilities have ripened through years of practice, mistakes, persistence, and experience? The witches talk about honoring the work it took to become who you are, giving thanks to the people who helped teach and shape you, and remembering that your gifts can nourish both your own life and the community around you. From the overflowing abundance of late summer to the first whispers of autumn, this episode celebrates what is ready to be gathered, what still needs tending, and what should be preserved as seed for the future. Rather than focusing heavily on the history and lore of the sabbat, which we have covered in previous Lughnasadh episodes linked in the show notes, this year we are honoring Lugh by recognizing the skills and magick we have grown within ourselves.Join us between the spokes of the Wheel and take a moment to celebrate your own harvest. Let me know what you think of this episode? Trauma doesn't have to be dramatic to be real. When someone lives through years of control, gaslighting, and image-obsessed “love,” the nervous system can start acting like it's still in danger, even after the relationship ends. That's why I sat down with Taylor Williams, founder of Trinity Trauma Therapy, to talk about narcissistic abuse recovery, religious trauma, and the quiet ways pain gets stored in the body and mind.We dig into what narcissistic behaviour actually looks like: a selective lack of empathy, constant deflection, denial, and the pressure to keep up a public story at any cost. Taylor explains why so many clients report PTSD symptoms without a single “classic” trauma event, and how spiritual abuse can happen when Scripture is used as a control tactic. If you've ever struggled to see God as a good Father because faith was tied to fear, shame, or conditional approval, you'll hear language that helps you separate God's character from someone else's manipulation.Taylor also breaks down EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) in plain terms, including bilateral stimulation and how the brain can “rewire” around old memories. We talk about why safety and basic needs matter before deep trauma work, what healthy support can look like for Christians and non-Christians alike, and the first boundaries that often signal real freedom: saying no without over-explaining, protecting your time, and finally naming your wants and needs. If this conversation helps, subscribe, share it with someone who needs hope, and leave a review so more survivors can find real support.Support the showWant to be a financial supporter of the show, click here, https://www.buzzsprout.com/1754677/supporters/newFollow and subscribe to the podcast here, and get weekly updates on when new episodes are released.  https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/dorsey-ross-show/id1495921329Social Media Links,  Instagram https://www.instagram.com/dorsey.ross/Facebook https://www.facebook.com/DROCKROSS/ My Book Amazon Book Overcomer https://bit.ly/4h7NGIPWant to be a guest on Dorsey Ross Show? We explore the difference between discipline, punishment, and what many couples jokingly call "funishment," along with why communication, trust, and clear boundaries matter far more than any specific consequence. I also share ideas that couples use in their own FLR dynamics—from financial discipline and additional chores to chastity extensions, kneeling, writing lines, and creative accountability. More importantly, I explain why every punishment should fit your relationship, not someone else's fantasy. One of the biggest takeaways from this episode is that dominance doesn't mean being heartless. In fact, one of the greatest challenges for many dominant women is finding consequences that reinforce leadership without damaging connection or confidence. If you're new to a Female-Led Relationship, struggling to establish healthy discipline, or simply curious about how real couples navigate accountability, I think you'll find plenty to think about in this conversation.2To find that Audio versions of the FLR Skool courses, just click here.Or FLRSkool SubscribeSupport the showWant to keep this conversation going?Join us inside FLRSkool.com — where real couples are having real conversations about female-led relationships! Send us Fan MailIn this episode of the Aligned Birth Podcast, hosts Dr. Shannon and Doula Rachel discuss the concept of value-centered birth planning. They emphasize that traditional birth plans can be rigid and unrealistic, and instead advocate for a flexible approach that that's value driven, not outcome based. The conversation covers the importance of education, communication with birth teams, and the role of doulas in supporting a positive birth experience. The hosts encourage listeners to actively participate in their birth journey and to view their birth plan as a tool for informed decision-making rather than a strict checklist.Support the showWant to show your support? 0215 Female Led Relationships: An FLR Is NOT Always Whips and Chains

Krystine's FLR Podcast

Play Episode Listen Later Jul 13, 2026 23:06 Transcription Available

Leave us a messge!!///// RE-RELEASE/////In this back catalog re-release of Krystine's FLR Podcast, I talk about power exchange in a female-led relationship and how different that can look from one couple to another.A lot of people still hear “female-led relationship” and automatically think BDSM, whips, chains, abuse, or some extreme version of domination. I want to help break that stigma. Yes, some FLRs include BDSM, chastity, humiliation, ruined orgasms, financial control, or other forms of power exchange. But not all of them do, and they sure do not have to.In this episode, I talk about how an FLR can be defined by whatever works for the people actually living it. Maybe the woman is the breadwinner. Maybe she makes the decisions. Maybe she controls the money. Maybe she delegates the money management because she does not want to deal with it. Maybe the relationship is equal in day-to-day life, but she takes full control in the bedroom. Maybe the dynamic is 24/7. Maybe it is not.I also talk about our own relationship and how, from the outside, we might look backwards compared to what people expect from an FLR. My husband is the primary breadwinner, and I handle a lot of the home life. But he is still deeply attentive, service-minded, supportive, and committed to making my life better. That is part of our power exchange. The biggest point is that you get to make your FLR your own. There is no single correct version. There is no rulebook that says your dynamic has to look extreme, sexual, public, or perfectly labeled. The level of power exchange in your relationship is determined by you and your partner, and the only hard rule is that it has to be consensual.5 Talking PointsFLR does not have to mean BDSMI talk about how female-led relationships have traditionally been associated with BDSM, but that definition is too narrow. An FLR can include kink, but it does not have to.You get to define your own power exchangeEvery couple gets to decide what female leadership looks like for them. It might involve money, decision-making, service, bedroom control, domestic roles, or emotional support. There is no single correct FLR structureSome relationships may look traditionally female-led from the outside, while others may not. What matters is not how outsiders label it. What matters is whether the dynamic works for the people living it.Power exchange can benefit both partnersI talk about why some men may enjoy letting go of control, especially if they carry a lot of responsibility in daily life. For some submissive men, being told what to do and serving their partner can bring fulfillment, peace, and purpose.Confidence is one of the biggest gifts FLR has given meFor me, one of the biggest benefits of this relationship has not just been power or control. It has been confidence. This dynamic has helped me feel stronger, sexier, more grounded, and more certain in the life I am choosing. To find that Audio versions of the FLR Skool courses, just click here.Or FLRSkool SubscribeSupport the showWant to keep this conversation going?Join us inside FLRSkool.com — where real couples are having real conversations about female-led relationships!
