In Episode 178 of PG Radio, we sit down with Gauranga Das Prabhu to explore the profound teachings of Sanatan Dharma and its relevance in the modern world. The conversation delves into the essence of "Seva" or selfless service, the fluidity of one's "varna" or social role, and the nature of "Ishwar" or the Supreme Soul. Gauranga Das Prabhu further sheds light on the differences between Shri Krishna and other deities, the unique attributes of Shri Krishna and Shri Rama, and the life of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, a spiritual luminary who spread the teachings of bhakti yoga. Gauranga Das Prabhu is a renowned spiritual leader, monk, and inspirational speaker, known for his deep understanding of ancient Indian scriptures and the philosophy of Sanatan Dharma. The teaching of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu an Indian mystic who lived 1500 years ago has a surprising look at this topic. He said that by practicing humility, tolerance, serving the downtrodden and singing the name of God one can increase mental stamina. Dada Vedaprajinananda (Dada Veda) looks at this topic based on a discourse of Shrii […]

Krishna himself has expended as Radharani, then why does he have to come as Chaitanya Mahaprabhu to understand Radharani
Astrology is a science. Jyotir-veda. That is a part of the Vedas. If it is performed correctly, one can know his past, present and future life. The future of many famous personalities, including Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Srila Prabhupada, was already predicted when they were born, but Prabhupada once told that “As soon as you clap your hands in front of the Deities during ārati,” “All the lines of your palm are changed.” So here arises a question: Can an Astrologer really predict your future?
Gaudiya Vaishnava is a religious movement within Vaishnavism, one of the main Hindu schools of thought. It is also known as Chaitanya Vaishnavism as this movement originated with Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who is an incarnation of Lord Sri Krishna. Worship of God in Gaudiya Vaishnavism is through Bhakti yoga or devotional service. The philosophy explains that the jiva (self or soul) is identical to God and at the same time different. This concept is called Achintya Bheda Abheda, or “inconceivable oneness and difference.” The human mind cannot understand this concept, but it can be experienced in Bhakti yoga.
The day following this talk was the 534th anniversary of the appearance of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the “Father of Kirtan”, so I was asked to speak about him. In the talk I referenced several quotes from the Vedas about him, predicting his appearance over 4,500 years prior to that day. I also referenced 3 of the 8 prays he personally wrote, all of which I am sharing here. गौरः सर्वात्मा महापुरुषो महात्मा महायोगी त्रिगुनतितः सत्त्वरूपो भक्तिं लोके कश्यति gauraḥ sarvātmā mahā-puruṣo mahātmā mahā-yogī tri-guṇātītaḥ sattva-rūpo bhaktiṁ loke kāśyati "Lord Gaura, who is the allpervading Supersoul/Paramatma, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, appears as a great saint and powerful mystic who is above the three modes of nature and is the emblem of transcendental activity. He disseminates the science of devotion throughout the world." — Caitanya Upaniṣad पुण्यक्षेत्र नवद्विपे भविष्यामि शचिसुतः puṇya-kṣetre nava-dvīpe bhaviṣyāmi śacī-sutaḥ " I shall appear in the holy land of Navadvipa as the son of Sacidevi." — Kṛṣṇa-yāmala-tantra कलौ संकिर्तनरंभे भविष्यामि शचिसुतः kalau saṅkīrtanārambhe bhaviṣyāmi śacī-sutaḥ "In the Age of Kali when the sankirtana movement is inaugurated, I shall descend as the son of Sacidevi." — Vāyu Purāṇa अथ वाहं धरधमे भूत्वा मद्भक्तरुपधृक मायायां चा भविष्यामि कलौ संकिर्तनागमे ॥ atha vāhaṁ dharādhāme bhūtvā mad-bhakta-rūpa-dhṛk māyāyāṁ ca bhaviṣyāmi kalau saṅkīrtanāgame "Sometimes I personally appear on the surface of the world in the garb of a devotee. Glory to the Śrī Kṛṣṇa saṅkīrtana, which cleanses the heart of all the dust accumulated for years and extinguishes the fire of conditional life, of repeated birth and death. This saṅkīrtana movement is the prime benediction for humanity at large because it spreads the rays of the benediction moon. It is the life of all transcendental knowledge. It increases the ocean of transcendental bliss, and it enables us to fully taste the nectar for which we are always anxious. Full description can be found on Youtube.

Teachings of Lord Caitanya (subtitled, "A Treatise on Factual Spiritual Life") was first published in 1968. It is a summary study of the Sri Chaitanya Charitamrita, a multi-volume collection describing the life and teachings of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who popularized harinama-sankirtana, congregational chanting of God's names, throughout India during the fifteenth century. Being engrossed in the material body, the conditioned soul increases the pages of history by all kinds of material activities. The teachings of Lord Caitanya can help human society stop such unnecessary and temporary activities. By these teachings, humanity can be elevated to the topmost platform of spiritual activity. These spiritual activities actually begin after liberation from material bondage. Such liberated activities in Kṛṣṇa consciousness constitute the goal of human perfection. The false prestige one acquires by attempting to dominate material nature is illusory. Illuminating knowledge can be acquired from the teachings of Lord Caitanya, and by such knowledge one can advance in spiritual existence. Everyone has to suffer or enjoy the fruits of his activity; no one can check the laws of material nature which govern such things. As long as one is engaged in fruitive activity, he is sure to be baffled in an attempt to attain the ultimate goal of life. I sincerely hope that by understanding the teachings of Lord Caitanya, human society will experience a new light of spiritual life which will open the field of activity for the pure soul. ISKCON Dallas - 3/20/2019
500 years ago a great saint (Chaitanya Mahaprabhu) explained how a person could make best use of his or her time on earth. This podcast explores his wise words.
In kali santarana upnishad, there is a mantra called Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare, Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was so devoted to Krishna that he went to vrindavan to find where Krishna was born, where he might have played, take the padam dhooli from the from the land where Krishna might have walked 5000 years ago. And, with the power of his tapas, with the power of his devotion, he reversed the mantra to Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare. He was not a mantrini in the sense he was not a knower of the science of mantras yet he did not care about chand, beej, kilak and the rest. He constructed his own mantra and millions of people even now are getting helped by chanting this maha mantra. By help, it does not mean that they get any benefit or their problem ends. Let's never pray or chant thinking that God will take away my problems. You take care of what you created, you take care of what you chose and he will take care of what he created, he will take care of his choices.
