In this episode of Khandaan: A Bollywood Podcast, we take on some of the most talked-about Bollywood conspiracy theories… and explain why we don't believe them. From the long-standing narrative around *Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi, to the deeply sensitive and widely debated **Sushant Singh Rajput case, to the internet-favourite **Govinda–James Cameron story*, we break down what actually makes sense — and what doesn't. This isn't about blind defence or outrage. It's about looking at how these narratives form, why they stick, and what they say about Bollywood fandom, media culture, and the internet. As always, expect strong opinions, context, and a conversation that goes beyond headlines.
We often talk about trying to remember, Kṛṣṇa; we try to be fully conscious of His holy name. But keep in mind also that when Draupadī called out, "O Govinda! Hey, Govinda!" then Kṛṣṇa remembered her with such affection that He said He was eternally indebted to her for calling out to Him. If you remember that, Kṛṣṇa is remembering you. He's also known as kaviṁ in that verse: kaviṁ purāṇam anuśāsitāram aṇor aṇīyāṁsam anusmared yaḥ He is the one who knows everybody and knows everything. So, He knows if we're sincere, and He especially remembers those devotees who are sincere. So, chanting just means: be sincere. Try to call out His name sincerely, trying to reach Him. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #japajolt #makejapagreatagain #mantra #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
Sometimes you just need to get stuck in the 90s. “My Lord, O Supreme Personality of Godhead, in Your holy name there is all good fortune for the living entity, and therefore You have many names, such as Krishna and Govinda, by which You expand Yourself. You have invested all Your potencies in those names, and there are no hard and fast rules for remembering them. My dear Lord, although You bestow such mercy upon the fallen, conditioned souls by liberally teaching Your holy names, I am so unfortunate that I commit offenses while chanting the holy name, and therefore I do not achieve attachment for chanting.” (Lord Chaitanya, Chaitanya Charitamrita, Antya 20.16)

We find in Vṛndāvana that those who are cowherd boys play with Kṛṣṇa, and they sometimes jump on His back. That's not in the arcana-paddhati. I was thinking about what that means because, according to one's relationship, there's a way in which we can be more casual with people. For instance, I've noticed with my relationships that there are gradations of intimacy in friendship—just talking about friendship. There are friends that I've known forever, we've been through a lot together, and we're like-minded. There's a closeness there that allows us to, for example, make jokes at the other's expense. In other words, you say something to 'degrade' the other person, and they think it's hilarious because there's a channel there that allows that—it's a deep expression of friendship. You know, there are people I could knock in the arm. I wouldn't do it that hard, but kind of softly walking by—like in a kīrtana. You know, if I'm walking by in a crowded room full of kīrtana and I just sort of put my arm around somebody and kept walking, or nudged them... I wouldn't do that to everybody. There are certain Godbrothers, yeah, we're friends, but not that kind of friends. They would be like, 'Why did he just punch me in the arm?' You know, love conquers all. There's a way in which the rules and regulations are there, but then the affection factor opens a channel so that those things aren't considered. Because why are the considerations there in the first place? Especially in the material world, there's a sense of: "Don't overstep your boundaries and violate somebody else's sovereignty," as everyone's envious of everybody else, so you have to be really careful. There are etiquettes that act as guardrails to protect us. But when there's love and trust, as Prabhupāda pointed out, then those guardrails aren't necessary to the degree they were before. So these things are carefully considered. For instance, take the līlā in the Caitanya-caritāmṛta of when Govinda is daily taking care of the transcendental body of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. This has to do with rules and regulations also, because Govinda happened to be..(0:35:47) ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #pilgrimageoftheheart #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
Welcome back to another episode of Moment of Silence — where Valentine's Day is less roses and more reality checks. We start gently with “Do you even believe in love?” and then we get into couple influencers monetising their fights, decode soft launches, hard launches, and breakup triangles. You've heard of Veer Pahariya, Tara Sutaria, and AP Dhillon — but what really goes wrong? We talk power couples minting money, why dating a cricketer suddenly feels strategic, and whether modern relationships are just brand collaborations with feelings attached. Of course, we couldn't resist a chaotic “Would You Rather Date” lineup featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and more — so tell us in the comments which Bollywood character you're choosing and why.We also touch upon Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, confess our crush on Hrithik Roshan, share a Valentine's survival hack, and drop a slightly dangerous (but effective) strategy to get your man to finally do household chores. This episode is about love, PR, money, ego, delusion, and feminism. How do I interpret my rollercoaster ride on the yogic path?
Prabhupāda was looking not just to save souls, but also to recruit those who could save souls. When he came across Śrīla Gour Govinda Mahārāja, he immediately promoted him to the ideal position from which he would have full authority to spread Kṛṣṇa consciousness—to preach Kṛṣṇa consciousness everywhere—by giving him three initiations at once. In that, he served as a bridge to Kṛṣṇa consciousness for many devotees and set an example. In the words of Yudhiṣṭhira: bhavad-vidhā bhāgavatās tīrtha-bhūtāḥ svayaṁ vibho tīrthī-kurvanti tīrthāni svāntaḥ-sthena gadābhṛtā Such a person who is empowered carries Kṛṣṇa within his heart and therefore becomes a crossing-over point for others. The word tīrtha refers to the narrowing of a river; we call it the "straits." There are places in rivers that are generally impassable, where they narrow—also called the "narrows"—where one can step across. So, the word tīrtha means a crossing point. When we have the opportunity to be connected to such a person—one who has all the spiritual qualifications, has been empowered by a spiritual master, and is fully able to deliver transcendental knowledge—we have come to a place where we can step across from the material world to the spiritual world. Such an exalted devotee is Śrīla Gour Govinda Mahārāja. Therefore, he is worthy to be praised—not just while he was present, but as he has departed. He made his tirobhāva (disappearance) so that we can take his example and avail ourselves of the process that he showed us. By following Śrīla Prabhupāda he showed by example to his disciples and all of us how to follow faithfully, taking full advantage of what Prabhupāda has given us, to gloriously leave the world in full Kṛṣṇa consciousness and go back home, back to Godhead. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Deities are known for their intimate connection with their devotees, and the secret in life was given by one of my godbrothers, who used to live in Govardhan. He lived and passed in Govardhana. His name is Gopīparāṇdhana Prabhu. He had stayed where we were, right next to where we were this morning for breakfast. He lived just down the road from there, in a little house with his wife and child and a couple of cows. He was a great scholar, a linguistic scholar. He helped to translate many of Prabhupāda's books, including the 10th, 11th, and 12th Cantos. Also, he was the great expert who was able to bring the Bṛhat Bhāgavatamṛta to light in a perfect way, praised by the greatest scholar of Gaudiya Vaishnavism at the time in the academic world Joseph T. O'Connell who said, "Nobody else in the world could have done that." That was the great Gopīparāṇdhana Prabhu. And he said once, something that I've always kept with me and that anyone can live by for great success in life, and I would like to tell you.He said, "It's not what you know that counts, it's who you know and what you are." So we learned this lesson from Śrīla Kavirāja Gosvāmī, from Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, to find the pure devotees and follow in their footsteps. Even if we feel unqualified, even if we are unqualified, we become qualified. Kalpante ye 'nu tān iha—in this world, from whatever position we're in now, even Sūta Gosvāmī says in the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam (SB 1.2.25): bhejire munayo 'thāgre bhagavantam adhokṣajam sattvaṁ viśuddhaṁ kṣemāya kalpante ye 'nu tān iha Which means that previously, all the great saints worshipped the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is beyond the three modes of material nature. Anyone who follows in their footsteps and tries to emulate what they have done according to their capacity becomes eligible for the same result that they attained. So we come here begging for the mercy of Śrīla Mādhavendra Purī, thinking of how he carried wood in his hands for the Lord. And we can remember that he's considered the most celebrated of all Vaiṣṇavas in our sampradāya, as he set the stage for Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu to come and teach the emotional love for Kṛṣṇa, which had not been taught ever before. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #kartikimmersionretreat #pilgrimage #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Cc Madhya 18.1-66 https://vedabase.io/en/library/cc/madhya/18/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura gives the following information about Govinda-kuṇḍa. There is a village named Āniyora on Govardhana Hill, a little distance from the village of Paiṭha. Govinda-kuṇḍa is situated near here, and there are two temples to Govinda and Baladeva there. According to some, Queen Padmāvatī excavated this lake. In the Bhakti-ratnākara (Fifth Wave), the following statement is found: ei śrī-govinda-kuṇḍa-mahimā aneka ethā indra kaila govindera abhiṣeka “Govinda-kuṇḍa is exalted for its many spiritual activities. It was here that Indra, defeated by Lord Govinda, offered prayers to Him and bathed Him.” In the book Stavāvalī (Vraja-vilāsa-stava 74) the following verse is found: nīcaiḥ prauḍha-bhayāt svayaṁ sura-patiḥ pādau vidhṛtyeha yaiḥ svar-gaṅgā-salilaiś cakāra surabhi-dvārābhiṣekotsavam govindasya navaṁ gavām adhipatā rājye sphuṭaṁ kautukāt tair yat prādurabhūt sadā sphuratu tad govinda-kuṇḍaṁ dṛśoḥ “With humility caused by great fear, Indra took hold of the lotus feet of Lord Kṛṣṇa and, in the company of a surabhi cow, performed His coronation festival by bathing Him with the waters of the heavenly Ganges River. Thus Lord Kṛṣṇa's kingship over the cows became splendidly manifest. I pray that Govinda-kuṇḍa, the lake created by that ceremonial bath, may eternally appear before my eyes.” Also, in the Mathurā-khaṇḍa it is stated: yatrābhiṣikto bhagavān maghonā yadu-vairiṇā govinda-kuṇḍaṁ taj-jātaṁ snāna-mātreṇa mokṣa-dam “Simply by bathing in Govinda-kuṇḍa, one is awarded liberation. This lake was produced when Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa was bathed by Lord Indra.” (Cc Madhya 18.37, purport) To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
Who's Rupa Goswami? We're known as Rūpānugas, followers of Rūpa Goswāmī. In the spiritual world. He has an intimate connection with Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa as a mañjarī. He's known as Rūpa Mañjarī, but here in this world, he shows very practically how we can perform the nine items of devotional service and water the seed of devotion, just as Lord Caitanya had taught, and we can have success in this life. To achieve that end, Caitanya Mahāprabhu, who is his spiritual master and preceptor, taught him all about how to worship the Deity. And you'll find in Caitanya-caritāmṛta that Lord Caitanya gives instruction to Sanātana Goswāmī exactly how to establish a Deity, how to worship the Deity. He asked Sanātana Goswāmī, who is the brother of Rūpa Goswāmī, to write the entire chapter on Deity worship, and who teaches it? Kṛṣṇa. He tells about the different forms of the Deity you can worship. There are Deities from metal, wood, stone, jewels, paint, and in your mind. You can make a deity out of earth, and so forth. And then he tells the exact process, and that process has been passed down also through great sages like Nārada. Because of Nārada, we have the Nārada Pañcarātra, and we have the Pāñcarātrikī vidhi, which is the rules and regulations of how to worship Kṛṣṇa in the Deity form. So this was part of the process of bhakti-yoga, to worship the Deity, and Rūpa Goswāmī worshiped Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Govinda according to the instructions of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. And here in Jaipur, they still follow that system. So it's part of our Gauḍīya family tradition to come here and see Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Govinda and remember Rūpa Goswāmī. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #kartikimmersionretreat #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
Verses discussed: Cc Madhya 9.280-10.17 https://vedabase.io/en/library/cc/madhya/9/advanced-view/ People might think, 'Oh, this is very audacious to claim that this is the specific path, and there is no other.' Or they might find relief, because with deconstructionism and no ultimate conclusion, people are exhausted. They're sick of the retreat of logic; it keeps going back. People lie, and then they lie about the lies, and then it keeps going on and on. And when they find something very specific where somebody just authoritatively says, 'No, this is it; take it,' like Prabhupāda used to do with what he did for Yogī Bhajan. He said, 'No, it's in your scripture,' because Yogī Bhajan brought it up—that Govinda is there in scripture. Then take it. You take that! He kept on, and he wouldn't let him go. He said, 'No, you take that. Govinda is in your scripture. Take it! Why won't you take it?' And I felt that kind of relief when I first read the Back to Godhead magazine, because every other book I had read up to that point was wishy-washy. When finally somebody said, 'Lord Caitanya is God, and here's what he says, and just follow it,' I said, 'All right, finally something—a pitch I can hit. In this world, you may have a complicated life. You may think yourself unqualified. Don't worry. If you follow in the footsteps of the sages, you'll be successful. "Tvat-pāda-potena mahat-kṛtena," means if you follow the process given by the greats, then you'll be boarding a boat. In this verse, it says that the ocean of complexity, which is this material world, shrinks for those who have the process. How small ? Size of the hoof print of a calf, and then one can easily step over it. And in the next verse, Brahma goes on and describes how that becomes a boat where we can cross the material ocean but when you approach the boat, the ocean shrinks. And Prabhupāda explains in the purport how we're part of what's called the Ācārya-sampradāya. When we come to an ISKCON temple, we find that Prabhupāda is prominently seated there. That's lucky for us. If you go to see Rādhā-Govinda in Jaipur for mangala-ārti, no doubt, one of the most ecstatic experiences in the world when you go to see Rādhā-Govinda, but you won't find a prominently seated Ācārya somewhere. If you go to the temples of Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura in Māyāpur, his flagship temple, you'll find all the Ācāryas. In fact, they're situated in a circle around Gandharvikā Giridhārī, and you can go see each one where their origin is. Each one comes from a divine origin passed down to other mahats, other greats. And he emphasized that, as do all the Ācāryas, and as does Kṛṣṇa Himself, "ācāryaṁ māṁ vijānīyān navamanyeta karhicit." One should respect the Ācārya-sampradāya, Kṛṣṇa says. "Don't consider that they're ordinary people. Consider that you should sit there the sum total, better than all the demigods put together, and not ordinary." So we have this clear object of meditation. We also have a clear path that one may follow to walk in the footsteps of the Ācāryas. It consists of what we've been given, and those who follow the simple path strictly are the most successful. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
Crispian Mills is the front man for the English psychedelic rock band, Kula Shaker. The band came to prominence during the Britpop era of the 1990s. They enjoyed commercial success in the UK between 1996 and 1999, notching up a number of Top 10 hits on the UK singles Chart, including Tattva, Hey Dude, Govinda, Hush, and Sound of Drums. Their debut album, K, reached No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart. It was voted number 879 in Colin Larkin's All Time Top 100 Albums in 2000. Crispian is also a writer and director, known for A Fantastic Fear of Everything, Slaughterhouse Rulez, and The Winged Boy.
In the spiritual world, this is the norm: that every gait is a dance, every word is a song. So the spiritual world is not void, and Kṛṣṇa is not alone, but the spiritual world is where all the living entities who are enlightened and in love with Kṛṣṇa reside. The material world is a little lonely because we are separated from the light of the spiritual worlds and from Kṛṣṇa. So the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam brings our attention to the portals through which we can see the spiritual world and understand it. It's not illogical. In the Bhagavad-gītā, Kṛṣṇa says, "ūrdhva-mūlam adhaḥ-śākham aśvatthaṁ prāhur avyayam chandāṁsi yasya parṇāni yas taṁ veda sa veda-vit," that this material world is a reflection of the spiritual world. We see variety here, but the variety here is temporary. It has a shelf life. Whatever we want to embrace here, whatever we want to taste here, has a beginning and an end. It's a temporary world because it's a reflection of the spiritual world. So the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam says that the mission of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is "reality distinguished from illusion for the benefit of all." If I try to embrace an illusory apple, a reflection on the water, this is folly; I won't be able to eat it. But the substance is there in the spiritual world. So Brahmā gives this explanation of how one can see Kṛṣṇa. He says, "Although Kṛṣṇa is transcendental form is presented as black." Devotees who are in love with the Supreme Personality of Godhead appreciate the Lord as Śyāmasundara, having a very beautiful, blackish form. The Lord's form is so beautiful that the Brahma-saṁhitā also states, "veṇuṁ kvaṇantam aravinda-dalāyatākṣaṁ barhāvataṁsam asitāmbuda-sundarāṅgam / kandarpa-koṭi-kamanīya-viśeṣa-śobhaṁ / govindam ādipuruṣaṁ tam ahaṁ bhajāmi... I worship Govinda, the primeval Lord who plays on His transcendental flute. His eyes are like lotus flowers. He is decorated with peacock plumes, and his bodily color resembles the color of a fresh black cloud. Although his bodily features are more beautiful than millions of Cupids, this beauty of the Supreme Lord can be seen by devotees who are in love with him, devotees whose eyes are anointed with the love of Godhead: 'Premāñjana-cchurita-bhakti-vilocanena.' ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #prabhupadapicks #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
One of the brightest lights of the Britpop splash of the 90s were Kula Shaker. They successfully merged guitar-driven rock with psychedelia with strong Indian themes so seamlessly there was no one else like them. After two successful albums and huge singles like "Tattva", "Govinda" and "Hey Dude", and with frontman Crispian Mills on the verge of a nervous breakdown, the band took a break for a few years before storming back in 2007 and releasing great albums since. Last year saw their latest album Natural Magick and more new albums are promised for 2025 and '26. Crispian joins us this week to discuss it all including the Indian influences, coming from a "royal" family, and everything else. It's a good time to be a Kula Shaker fan! www.kulashaker.co.uk www.patreon.com/c/thehustlepod
