Srimad Bhagavatam [Bhagwat Katha] – Part 39 | Swami Mukundananda Swamiji beautifully explains the Gopi Geet, the heartfelt song sung by the gopis when Krishna disappeared during the Raas Leela. Overwhelmed with longing, the gopis poured out their souls in verses that revealed the depth of their devotion. Their words were not demands for worldly gain or liberation, but pure expressions of love, yearning only for Krishna's presence. The Gopi Geet demonstrates the pinnacle of bhakti: selfless, unconditional love for God. The gopis did not seek wealth, recognition, or even freedom from suffering. Their only desire was to serve and behold Krishna. This intensity of devotion shows that true bhakti is not about rituals or intellectual knowledge, but about surrendering the heart completely to the Lord. Swamiji highlights that the gopis' love was so pure that it melted even the Supreme Lord. Krishna, though infinite, was bound by their devotion and returned to them, affirming that God cannot resist the call of selfless love. This leela teaches that when devotion is free from selfish motives, it becomes irresistible to God. The Gopi Geet is not just poetry — it is the soul's cry for union with the Divine, and it remains one of the most moving expressions of love in the entire Bhagavatam. About Swami Mukundananda: Swami Mukundananda is a renowned spiritual leader, Vedic scholar, Bhakti saint, best‑selling author, and an international authority on the subject of mind management. He is the founder of the unique yogic system called JKYog. Swamiji holds distinguished degrees in Engineering and Management from IIT and IIM. Having taken the renounced order of life (sanyas), he is the senior disciple of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj, and has been sharing Vedic wisdom across the globe for decades.
Srimad Bhagavatam [Bhagwat Katha] – Part 43 | Swami Mukundananda Swamiji explains one of the most profound mysteries of the Bhagavatam — why Shree Krishna left Vrindavan and did not return for a hundred years, leaving Radha and the gopis in deep separation. This leela is not ordinary absence; it is the highest revelation of divine love. Radha and the gopis lived every moment in remembrance of Krishna. Though physically separated, their devotion only intensified. Swamiji highlights that this viraha bhakti (devotion in separation) is considered even greater than union, because longing purifies love and makes it utterly selfless. The gopis did not desire worldly comforts, liberation, or recognition — their only cry was for Krishna Himself. Krishna's departure was part of His divine mission: to protect dharma, guide humanity, and fulfill cosmic duties. Yet, in doing so, He revealed that God sometimes withdraws His presence to elevate the devotee's love to its purest form. Radha's love, in particular, shows that true devotion transcends time, space, and even separation. This leela teaches that the highest bhakti is not measured by physical proximity to God, but by the intensity of love in the heart. Radha and the gopis attained the supreme state of devotion, proving that separation can become the most powerful force in spiritual growth. Srimad Bhagavatam [Bhagwat Katha] – Part 49 | Swami Mukundananda In this grand conclusion of the Srimad Bhagavatam, Swamiji shares Shree Krishna's ultimate message through the final narration of Shukadev to King Parikshit and the profound story of Markandeya Rishi. As Parikshit calmly enters samadhi and transcends death, the Bhagavatam reminds us that the soul is eternal and untouched by the destruction of the body. Markandeya Rishi's vision of Maha Pralaya reveals the mysterious power of God's Maya. In the midst of cosmic dissolution, he beholds Bal Mukund Shree Krishna peacefully resting on a banyan leaf — demonstrating that while universes arise and dissolve, the Supreme Lord alone remains eternal. What we consider permanent is temporary; what we chase as happiness is often illusion. True security lies only in devotion to God. Swamiji concludes with prayers of gratitude to Guru, Param Guru, and Bhagavan, emphasizing the transformative power of chanting the Lord's holy names. The Srimad Bhagavatam comes to its glorious close with a timeless assurance: by remembering Shree Krishna with faith and love, the soul transcends Maya and attains eternal bliss.
In this part, Swamiji explains the six questions raised by the sages of Naimisharanya and how Suta Goswami answered them. The sages asked: what is the highest welfare in Kali Yuga, the essence of all scriptures, the reason for Krishna's descent, His divine pastimes, the other avatars of God, and where Dharma resides after His departure. Suta Goswami revealed that the supreme Dharma is pure devotion to the Lord, free from selfish motives. He clarified that the Absolute Truth is realized in three aspects — Brahman, Paramatma, and Bhagavan — with Bhagavan, the personal form of God, being supreme. The Lord descends to uplift souls, restore Dharma, and reveal His purifying pastimes. Swamiji then narrates the 24 principal avatars of God described in the Bhagavatam: the Four Kumaras, Varaha, Narad, Nar‑Narayan, Kapil, Dattatreya, Yajna, Rishabh, Prithu, Matsya, Kurma, Dhanvantari, Mohini, Narsimha, Vaman, Parashuram, Vyas, Ram, Balaram, Krishna, Buddha, and Kalki who will appear at the end of Kali Yuga. Each avatar demonstrates a unique aspect of divine compassion, guidance, and protection. This part emphasizes that after Krishna's departure, Dharma has taken shelter in the Srimad Bhagavatam, which shines like the sun to dispel the darkness of Kali Yuga.
In this part, Swamiji explains that wisdom and detachment are not achieved by dry renunciation or intellectual knowledge, but arise naturally when devotion awakens in the heart. The Bhagavatam teaches that when love for God deepens, worldly desires lose their grip, and true wisdom shines effortlessly. Swamiji narrates how the sages, led by Shaunaka, asked: “How can one attain freedom from material bondage?” Narad Ji responded that by hearing and chanting the glories of Shree Krishna, the mind becomes purified. He revealed the plight of Bhakti Devi, who had grown weak and neglected in this world. But through the power of the Bhagavatam, Bhakti Devi regained her strength, and with her revival, her two sons — Wisdom (Gyan) and Detachment (Vairagya) — also flourished. This shows that Bhakti Devi is the mother, and wisdom and detachment are her natural children. This part makes clear that the Bhagavatam restores Bhakti Devi to her rightful place, ensuring that wisdom and detachment arise as her companions. It inspires seekers to cultivate devotion through remembrance of God's names and pastimes, thereby receiving wisdom and detachment as divine gifts, guiding the soul toward liberation and the eternal bliss of Sat‑Chit‑Anand. About Swami Mukundananda: Swami Mukundananda is a renowned spiritual leader, Vedic scholar, Bhakti saint, best‑selling author, and an international authority on the subject of mind management. Having taken the renounced order of life (sanyas), he is the senior disciple of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj, and has been sharing Vedic wisdom across the globe for decades.
In this part, Swamiji explains how Srimad Bhagavatam begins with Vyasa offering respects to the Absolute Truth, without limiting to any sectarian name, so that all seekers can relate. He clarifies the difference between relative truths and the one Absolute Truth — the Supreme Lord from whom the world emanates and upon whom everything rests. Swamiji highlights that the Bhagavatam is kaithavrahit — free from cheating religion. Unlike materialistic or self‑serving practices, it presents the pure Dharma of selfless love for God. Dharma here means the conduct and values that lead to auspiciousness and liberation, untainted by worldly motives. He further explains that the Bhagavatam is the ripened fruit of Vedic knowledge, relished by Shukadev Ji, and offered to all souls as nectar of divine bliss. It is meant to be “drunk” through the ears with devotion, not merely read or heard mechanically. Only with a devotional heart can one truly taste its sweetness. This part establishes that the path of righteousness in the Bhagavatam is pure Bhakti — devotion to the Absolute Truth — which alone is the essence of Dharma and the highest good for humanity.
In this opening part, Swamiji introduces Srimad Bhagavatam as the crown jewel of all scriptures, the supreme text that reveals the highest purpose of human life. He explains that the Bhagavatam is not merely a narration of divine stories, but a spiritual guide that leads seekers from worldly entanglement to pure devotion and liberation. Swamiji highlights the profound question raised at the beginning of the Bhagavatam: “What is the ultimate good for humanity?” The sages declare that unalloyed devotion to the Supreme Lord is the highest path. Even Lord Shiva affirmed this truth when Mother Parvati asked him what was most beneficial for the soul. Shiva replied that devotion to Shree Hari is the supreme good, greater than all austerities, rituals, or knowledge. This part sets the foundation for the entire series, showing that the Bhagavatam leads seekers to cultivate devotion that is selfless and pure. It inspires us to approach the scripture not merely as philosophy, but as a living path of love that transforms the heart and reveals the soul's eternal nature of Sat‑Chit‑Anand — eternal existence, pure consciousness, and divine bliss. Live from Govardhan Eco-Village in India, this episode unfolds as a grounded, unscripted exploration of why material life grows stale—and why spiritual sound never does. With Kaustubha away, Raghunath is joined by Pranapriya and a circle of pilgrims whose stories naturally reveal how bhakti works in real life: not as blind belief, but as lived, repeatable realization. Drawing from the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam, Raghunath reflects on the "shadow world" of material attachment, the restless mind that can't be satisfied by consumption, and the Bhagavatam's promise that devotion becomes an irrevocable fact through regular hearing and service. Along the way, themes of recovery, responsibility, pilgrimage, and purposeful work weave together into a clear message: happiness doesn't come from feeding the shadow—it comes from feeding the soul. ******************************************************************** LOVE THE PODCAST? It's a vicariousness that we attain, a vicarious experience where we become wise by hearing. Anecdote—when we were reading the Fourth Canto at Govardhan, I remember there was a brahmacārī there—he was at a crossroads or something. I heard him as I was walking in one of the breaks; he was talking to his spiritual master, and he goes, "What was I thinking?" Because he had just heard the Bhāgavatam, suddenly he exclaimed, 'What was I thinking?' In other words, Bhagavān had wrested him out of his stupor, where he had begun contemplating the material world again and suddenly, by the vicarious experience of hearing the Fourth Canto, he thought, 'Ooh, that was close. I almost got re-consumed.' So, it has that power for us to vicariously experience the cycle that takes place—the inevitable cycle. It's so predictable; it's such an old story, but nobody can get out of it because they don't have information outside the closed universe. 'Tad-vāg-visargo janatāgha-viplavo'—it's outside that normal creation. The material world is so predictable, down to the psychic movements that take place within the mind of a conditioned soul. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

There is a long passage on that in the Bṛhat Bhagavatamṛta, and there, Sanātana Goswāmī gives ample evidence about how the primary process in Kali Yuga is the chanting of the holy names. Jīva Goswāmī also concludes that there are, other processes that we engage in. For instance, arcanam is there in the nine, but he says there that because in this age, the prime method is chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa, even with arcanam, it has to be preceded by chanting of the Mahāmantra and followed by chanting the Mahāmantra in order for it to be successful. And that emphasis is there throughout the teachings of the Goswāmīs: that chanting is the primary process. Caitanya Mahāprabhu said it himself when asked, 'Of all the different processes, which completes them all?' And it's the chanting of the holy name of The Lord. As to why it's because it's especially recommended. Because, as an example, the Bhagavatam itself begins by mentioning chanting the holy names and ends with mentioning chanting of the holy names as the means for success. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
If you have been instrumental in creating the world by your speech and what you're listening to, you can uncreate it. Wouldn't you like to have an undo button, like 'undo whatever you've done,' or an uncreate button? If you don't like what you've created, uncreate it. You can reverse the process. And that's what happens with transcendental sound. Instead of cohorting with the material energy—talking about it, listening to ideas about how to manipulate it, and so forth—one transfers one's hearing process to hearing from the spiritual world. tad-vāg-visargo janatāgha-viplavo yasmin prati-ślokam abaddhavaty api nāmāny anantasya yaśo 'ṅkitāni yat śṛṇvanti gāyanti gṛṇanti sādhavaḥ (SB.1.5.11) It means that there is sound that comes from another creation, and when that sound comes in, and you utilize that sound, it reverses the process of material creation and brings one back to one's original consciousness. And this idea of shpota, living being never actually mixed with the material world. 'Asaṅgo hy ayaṁ puruṣaḥ,' the Vedas say: 'You're not part of the material world. Never were. You're not right now either.' So, even Kṛṣṇa says in the Eleventh Canto of the Bhagavatam, 'There's no liberation for the soul, because he was never actually in bondage.' This is one perspective, and Kṛṣṇa is giving it to Uddhava because you never even touch the material world. You're only imagining that you're interacting with it through this facility that's created because of material sound, which is generated by your own desire. So, change it, and you can uncreate what you've done. And that's the process of Kṛṣṇa consciousness. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
There is also a saying that it's impossible to understand the mindset of a pure devotee, so there is not always an exact, clear answer. And one of the ways the Bhagavatam also teaches us is because when do you ever get a completely clear answer when you're making decisions absolutely this and not that? Maybe when it's "take the Krishna consciousness," but then come all kinds of other decisions: Should I go back to school? Should I get a job and do Krishna consciousness? Should I get married, or should I just be a Brahmachari? It goes on constantly until the time of death. And at the time of death, you're thinking, "Okay, these people from Delhi say they have some new cure. Should I take it, or should I just settle into leaving my body?" And as long as we are in the material world, there's a complication. Even if you are a pure devotee, it's not always straightforward that, like, I understand how everything works, and there's some idea that there are no decisions to make, or that they're clear-cut. There's a little ambiguity involved, even for the pure devotees. Prabhupada says, "When he had taken sannyas and he was walking along in a village, he got to watch out for cows, because if you get too close, you think, 'Oh, what a nice cow,' and they swing their heads. They swing for the fences. And if there's a horn there, it can slam you." I saw it right in front of me one day. I was standing out here, and some man was, you know, like, "nicey-nicey" with the cow, and she just swung and slammed him right in the belly. He was down. They had to call the ambulance. And it happened to Prabhupada right after he took sannyas, and Prabhupada says in a lecture that he was hit by a cow like that, and that he said when he hit the footpath and he was lying there, he said, "Krishna, what is this? I just took Sannyas. Now what happened?" So, I bring that up as a point that you may say, "Okay, in the life of a pure devotee..," Prabhupada is a pure devotee, and he mentions in an assembly of devotees that "Krishna dismantled everything. He took away everything I had," and the devotees had a lighthearted response to it because they thought, "Well, what's it to you? You're a pure devotee. What do you care?" Because they only saw him as a paramahamsa in that stage of his life. But then Prabhupada retorted that, "No, when Krishna takes away everything, you become very morose." So Dhruva Maharaja is a pure devotee, but he's young. He hasn't gone through his whole life. And there are various ways in which you maneuver in the material world, even as a pure devotee. So that's part of the beauty of the Bhagavatam—that it's got nuance, it's subtle, and it's relatable also. And we can see that, yeah, pure devotees go through stuff, and when you go through something, and then you think of Dhruv Maharaja, and you think of him, "Yes, this, but then no, I shouldn't do it," then come back. In the context of bhakti, we see in the Sixth Canto of the Bhagavatam and elsewhere, as one of the ācāryas has mentioned, this principle of accumulation of bhakti sukṛti in circumstances where one is not fully aware of what one is doing. For instance, one may hear the chanting of The Hare Krishna mahāmantra. Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī very clearly says, "yad-ābhāso ‘py udyan kavalita-bhava-dhvānta-vibhavo dṛśaḿ tattvāndhānām api diśati bhakti-praṇayinīm" (Nāmāṣṭakam, verse 3). And that is, if you hear, even those who are in ignorance of what the Holy Name is, or why people are chanting The Holy Name. Did you see anybody like that last night? How many, as a percentage, had no idea what was going on? In other words, they knew something was happening. They just didn't know what it was. So what percentage? 95%? So those people are called by Rūpa Gosvāmī --"tattvāndhānām." They don't know tattva. They have no idea of what that is. But Hare Krishna is directly the Lord, and therefore there is a dawning of bhakti in their heart that comes from the ābhāsa—just the indirect rays of The Holy Name. And such people then can see or experience for themselves in their hearts the truth of bhakti, an amazing statement in and of itself. As is mentioned in the Sixth Canto of the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam in the section of Ajāmila, in Prabhupāda's purport, he said, "Such encounters are recorded and counted." And so there's a little book, and it goes in the book. And Prabhupāda puts it and gives a different metaphor. He said, "Every living being has a bank account in his or her heart, and every time you come in contact with Krishna, the devotees, then there's a deposit." Of course, we have to be careful, because we may think that it means it doesn't matter how we disseminate Krishna consciousness; it's some sort of inoculation by force. Because there is a way in which, if we are artful and gentle in the ways that we present Krishna consciousness and teach according to people's cultural and psycho-physiological natures, then their hearts will be more open to hearing and taking in, and they'll gain more sukṛti. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

The genius of the bhakti tradition's sacred texts is how they reveal the loftiest yogic and theological truths through the sweetest intimacy. The Cosmic Source described in the Vedas and the Absolute Truth of the Vedānta Sūtra is revealed in the Bhagavatam as Krishna, a mischievous, playful child—the most adorable boy. When Mother Yaśodā peers into Krishna's mouth, she doesn't just see her son—she sees the entire universe. In this paradox of infinite divinity wrapped in childlike charm, bhakti uncovers a truth both cosmic and deeply personal. “Prabhupada Picks” refers to a selection of verses from the 10th Canto of the Srimad Bhagavatam that Srila Prabhupada memorized himself and quoted very frequently in his teachings. List of verses are in the description here: https://youtu.be/8teL06bAL1o Verse for discussion: https://vedabase.io/en/library/sb/10/1/13 ------------------------------------------------------------ My friend, Dave Dibberne, I forget which birthday it was. He was so fanatical about music that for his birthday he asked for a particular record. Unfortunately, he asked everybody for it. Kids, in the old days, there used to be records. There were no computers, live streams, or anything like that. You would get a vinyl disc, this big. It was called a 45. It had to play on a turntable, just bringing it up to speed. It's a physical object. It had two songs, one on each side. That's all you got. It cost a couple of dollars, and that was a lot of money back then. He got the same song from seven people. It was called “Monday, Monday.” He tried to listen as much as he could, but after a while, he just got really tired of it, and he didn't like the song anymore. He wished he had asked for something else. And that's what happens in the material world. Everyone wishes they asked for something else after a while, because whatever we get here, it gets old, fast or slow. Either way, it runs out. We run out of thirst for it. But spiritual thirst, you can go on drinking. You can go on hearing that is over and over again, and it never gets old. No one's ever complained that the Bhagavad Gita is boring because every time you hear it, it has new meaning. Srimad Bhagavatam is something you can embark upon for your lifetime. This lifetime, if you would like, you can volunteer today. We're going to put it out there on the table, to read and dedicate the rest of your life to hearing the Srimad Bhagavatam. Get a PhD in the Srimad Bhagavatam. Am I making sense? And I guarantee you won't come to the end of it, even if you spend the rest of your life studying the Srimad Bhagavatam very deeply every day with full concentration, you will have bouts of ecstasy in reading The Bhagavatam, listening to the verses, the poem, the poetics of it, and also the very contact with the sound vibration will enliven you. This is the beautiful statement of Srila Prabhupada that: "The entire world is suffering because of spiritual thirst." And so you can make it your mission if you want to do something good for people — to help quench their thirst spiritually. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------

When we think about a great person and we think, "How could I sit down and have a...? What do you want to have with a famous person? What kind of snack? What kind of prasadam? What kind of prasadam would you like to sit down and have with a famous person? Audience: "A bagel?" Okay, Mazel Tov! So Anapayanai Bhakti(from the audience) wants to find a famous person, sit down, have a bagel and talk. So how realistic is this? Most famous people that we contact and say, 'Hare Krishna! Would you like to talk?' they don't even answer us, and the ones who are very polite, they send a message through their secretaries, like, 'Ah no, thanks. Yeah, no.' Some people say yes, but it's very rare. Even when the people say yes and we talk to them, how much can you assimilate in an hour of talking? But if you take the book of a famous person, you enter into the intimacy of their own thoughts. They pour out their hearts into their books. So there's a way in which Srila Prabhupada had mentioned that "Everything I had to say is in my books." And he said, "These are my own realizations I'm offering to you." Therefore we have access, and anyone can have this kind of association. So Krishna is very kind, and although he appears, not everyone can have direct association with him. After all, all of us who were born recently, within the last 100 years, anyone? We missed it. We missed being on the planet with Krishna by approximately 5,000 years. That's a pretty big miss, isn't it? But do not worry. Well, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu—we missed him by 550 years. That's still quite a miss. So what to do? 'Kṛṣṇe sva-dhāmopagate dharma-jñānādibhiḥ saha kalau naṣṭa-dṛśām eṣa purāṇārko 'dhunoditaḥ (SB 1.3.43).' Just after Krishna left, the Bhagavatam appeared as an incarnation of The Lord to give us that direct association. Anyone who takes the time every day and hears from the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam will not feel bereft. Actually, the person will attain all the good qualities of the devas— even better than the devas—because, as we'll hear in this chapter itself, 'yasyāsti bhaktir bhagavaty akiñcanā sarvair guṇais tatra samāsate surāḥ.' That one who performs devotional service attains so many good qualities, and especially here from hearing Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, that the devas want to come and live in your house. Would you like that? ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

How to approach difficult Bhagavatam sections like Virat Rupa by Exploring mindfulness, yoga and spirituality
Should we accept all misfortune as God s will Mayapur Bhagavatam class - Chaitanya Charan by Exploring mindfulness, yoga and spirituality
'Bhejire munayo 'thāgre bhagavantam adhokṣajam sattvaṁ viśuddhaṁ kṣemāya kalpante ye 'nu tān iha.' Suta Goswami says in the Srimad Bhagavatam, First Canto, Second Chapter, that previously - agre, all the great sages worshiped Lord Narayan because He's beyond the modes of material nature. Therefore, they attained the highest benefit. Anyone who follows in their footsteps, even if they're not great sages, is eligible for the same result. So, this point that Ranchor Prabhu is making is very important: if we follow the pathway of the great acharyas—mahājano yena gataḥ sa panthāḥ—however insignificant we may be, we'll attain the same result because of following in their footsteps. And Krishna gives us this encouragement, as He spoke to Uddhava in the Bhagavatam, 11th Canto (11.21.2): 'sve sve 'dhikāre yā niṣṭhā sa guṇaḥ parikīrtitaḥ,' that if you follow according to your capacity, that's a good quality. 'Viparyayas tu doṣaḥ syād'—it's the opposite if you try to do more than you're qualified for. Then, He said, it's a fault. Stay within your limit and do the best you can with what you have right now, and you'll be able to attain everything by the mercy of the process, which is also mentioned: 'tvat-pada-potena mahat-kṛtena, kurvanti, govatsa-padam bhavābdhim.' This means it's a process left behind by the great acharyas. And if we embrace the process that has been given to us by the great acharyas, 'tvat-pada-potena mahat-kṛtena,' then the material world, which is like a dangerous ocean, shrinks to the size of the water contained within the hoof print of a calf, and then one can easily step over by the mercy of the acharyas' process that they have left for us. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
