Here we are with the second part of the 1988 season (sorry for the delay). We'll dive into the top 5 before really discussing the finals. We learned about a controversial preliminary final we had never known about and we discuss the dominance of Hawthorn, a vintage Dermie year... in what was an incredibly dominant season. All this and more in the episode. We have had quite the issue with our software as of late, and this was our second take recording this. It is quite frustrating at times, so many apologies for that. The issue will be fixed for the 89 season. Adam Cooney joined Andrew Hayes for the final time in this run with the boys finishing strong by starting well early. Coons wanted to know if Hayesy had any teenage obsessions. Tim Watson and Lambs, interesting. Given Coons is gone for a while now we thought we'd toss him straight under the bus, by forcing him to explain to the man himself why he thought Dermie was more courageous than Dipper in the 1989 Grand Final. Come stick up that worked beautifully. We were also joined by Michelangelo Rucci and Fox Sports Journalist David Zita who gave their thoughts on the situation developing at the Hawthorn Football Club. And Port Adelaide AFLW star Ange Foley called in to chat about their clash this weekend with the Gold Coast Suns. Did we mention the Grand Final is coming up? The boys give their tips on the GF and potential Norm Smith medal winners.
