today I open up about my testimony and the journey of my relationship with God. I always grew up in the church, but that does not mean I had a strong relationship with God. I called myself "Christian" but never really lived out my life like a Christian. lately, I have felt called to talk about my testimony. I go through some of the darkest moments of my life, and how God consistently revealed Himself to me and protected me. this is not the “perfect Christian since birth” story. but maybe, me being vulnerable can help just one other person. we go through comparison, eating disorders, anxiety, doubt, lack of friends, lack of Christian community, judgemental “Christians” and more. but God is good, and maybe if you hear how He worked in my life it can spark something in you.
today we are going to chat about toxic beauty standards. as a girl, I have struggled with the beauty standards we face as a population. it seems like a lot of you girls also struggle with them, as I have received countless requests and DM's to cover this subject. having the perfect skin, the perfect body, the perfect clothing, the perfect everything is really exhausting. to be convinced on social media and IRL that there is something wrong with you, even if things like acne and stretch marks are completely normal, is messed up. so join me in today's episode as I cover how subjective beauty really is, the impact of social media, and all of the things women are told they should fear (cough cough, aging, a tummy pouch, acne), when really, they are completely normal things. it is NORMAL to want to feel beautiful. it is OK to work hard on your skincare and appearance. but, once that starts to become your self-worth, that is where we have to draw the line.
today we are going to chat about female friendships, and why it is so darn hard to make them, especially like-minded friendships. in our era of social media and overall digital connections with others, you would think that it should be easier than ever to make friends. I mean…come ON! I constantly see the cutest friendship activities and reels on Instagram, and those amazing photos of smiling girl sleepovers on Pinterest. yeah…not me. I always struggled making good female friendships, and throughout middle school to college, churches, gyms, the corporate world, and everywhere else, I made friends, drifted from friends, and struggled to find someone that has the same interests as me. I also had to handle the overall DRAMA of female friendships. the backstabbing, the gossip, the lies, and the jealousy. if you struggle or struggled making friends throughout your teenage or twenties, you are NOT ALONE. I chat all about my past experiences, and give tips along the way for finally finding those amazing female friendships you tend to only see in movies or social media.
today we are going to go through a masterclass on building self-discipline. self-discipline is such a powerful tool that you can harness to get to your dream life faster! if you want to uphold the promises you made to yourself, work out consistently, eat healthy, network, read, and do anything else…you are going to need self-discipline! it is a lot easier to be disciplined than rely on motivation. I through 10 easy steps to build your self-discipline. I also have some questions you can ask yourself before making a decision: self-discipline questions before making a decision: 1. Is this choice helping me become the highest version of myself? - Note this is a yes or no question. No excuses. No “but…”, no “kindas” 2. Does this action truly represent my intentions? My priorities? My goals? 3. Am I doing the right thing or the easy thing? 4. Am I merely uncomfortable or doubtful? Am I so mentally weak that my emotions are getting in the way of my goals? 5. What is the outcome of this action if I continue along this path?
today we are going to chat about how to have your “SHHH” girl summer. SHHH is an acronym I created for prioritizing having multiple eras during summer including focusing on your smart girl summer, your hot girl summer, your happy girl summer, and your healthy girl summer. you can truly HAVE IT ALL this summer, it just comes down to putting in a bit of extra work. I go over my fave tips for getting smarter over the summer, how to get hotter, how to be happier, and some things you can for a healthy summer too! I am so excited to make the most out of this summer and I bet you are too!
today, we are going to have a girly chat of all the things! my most recent habits and obsessions, body confidence for the summer, the struggle with female friendships, dating, and balancing everything in your life. there are so many things to catch up on, and I want to do it one entire episode. let's see how much I can talk about!
today, we are going to motivate ourselves on getting out of a slump! I feel like around the end of the school year, a lot of us studious girls get into the biggest slump. we struggle to stick to the healthy habits, to being productive, and doing the things that help us become the best versions of ourselves. I am currently struggling with this myself! The post-school burnout is so REAL. however, you deserve to feel good. you deserve to have rest, but also be able to push yourself and work towards your goals and the dream version of yourself. because of this, I created 10 simple steps to get you feeling like the best version of yourself! so if you want to get out of your slump, whenever you are listening to this, click play on this episode and let's go!
I go over my top 7 tips on creating a consistent workout habit in this episode! if you have been struggling getting on that workout grind, this is the episode for you. I cover little things like starting small and building a good routine, along with mindset tips to not let self-sabotage get in the way. hope you enjoy this mini episode!
“exercise addiction is not talked about, but it is a very real thing. exercise becomes everything, not just an addition to your life” today, we are going to talk about exercise addiction, and my journey with healing from exercise addiction. exercise addiction is this compulsive relationship with exercise. it is often tied in with a disordered relationship with food, but it does not have to be. here is how you can see if you are addicted/ have an unhealthy relationship with exercise: you HAVE to wake up early for a workout or stay up late. you can never take a day off, even you are sick, sore, or exhausted. you get nervous/angry/panicked when you are traveling or plans come up and interfere with your workouts you are married to your smart watch you are more focused on the calories a workout burns rather than how it makes you feel you always walk fast, pace, stand or fidget to specifically burn calories. exercise is not an addition to your life, exercise is your life. you do exercises you hate because it gives you “more results” I go over my journey with exercise addiction and the 5 steps I did to heal, and you can to! * note I am not a doctor/fitness trainer/psychologist. what I am is a girl that went through the trenches of exercise addiction, did a TON of research, and got out on the other side. if I can do it, so can you.
“being delulu is the selulu” today, we are going to talk about how to live delulu. to me, being delulu is imagining the best case-scenario when it has not happened yet. we go over steps to living delulu, including stopping negative self-talk, the law of attraction, using positive affirmations, visualization, and embodying the highest version of yourself. along with this episode, I also recap how I used delusion to become a runway model for a day, and how I turn negative thinking around. so, if you want to be a bit more positive and attract amazing experiences and people, definitely listen to this episode!
“no-one is going to come and save you from this. you have to choose for yourself if you want to heal.” today, we are going to chat about a topic that is near to my heart: disordered eating. I have been everywhere with my relationship with food. from a normal relationship food, to macro/calorie tracking, to an eating disorder, to binge/emotional eating, to now, intuitively and mindfully eating…I am here to say I made it, and you can too. I occasionally eat chocolate for breakfast, do not avoid bread or sugar if I am craving it, and can (for the most part) understand my hunger and fullness cues. not to mention I lost weight and inflammation…by healing my relationship with food. I know it sounds too good to be true. this episode is for the girls who are struggling with a restrictive eating disorder, emotional/binge eating, or a disordered relationship with food. before you say: “I do not have a disordered relationship with food!” let me ask you a few things. do you think about food a lot do you purposely make/eat small or low-calorie portions lying about “not liking ____ food” when you honestly do… do family/friends comment (out of worry and love) of your food choices being not enough… weird food rules (timing of food, not eating XYZ…) only to binge when you do “break the rules” does food determine your self-worth obsessive macro/calorie tracking (yes, even if it in your head) restrict during the day to overeat at night use food as a coping mechanism not able to feel (or understand) your hunger and fullness cues you are NORMAL. you are NOT BROKEN. I have been in your shoes. and I want to help. whether you are in the depths of an ED, constantly emotionally eating, or wanting to lose weight but those diets are not sustainable, we need to focus on your relationship with food above all else. so this episode is all about understanding the signs of a disordered relationship with food and how to heal. no, it is not going to be easy. but if I did it, so can you!
“to make the most out of one of the shortest seasons of the year, here are all the ways you can prepare and romanticize spring” spring is in the air, which means that this week's episode is going to help you prepare for Spring! I go over some spring habits, and the habits I like to add as the weather gets warmer. hot girl walks anyone? outdoor pilates? reading outside? yes please! I also talk about routines to focus on in the spring. along with having a good morning and evening routine, spring is the perfect time to focus on your workout routine, your skincare routine, and your cleaning routine. I go over my new and improved workout routine, along with things to ensure that you have for your skincare. finally, I give you a spring-bucket-list of all the things you can do. from hosting a girly brunch to making a bouquet, there are so many ways that you can make the most out of spring. to get into the spring spirit, I highly recommend you listen to this episode!
“all of these 100 habits, whether they are self-care, fitness, nutrition, organization, or random have changed my life” today we finally hit the 100 episode mark and to celebrate, I am going to discuss the 100 episodes that absolutely changed my life. some are obvious, like warm lemon water in the morning, and having a journal, but some are more obscure like tongue-scraping, and how I manage to get straight As. because there are so many organizational, self-care, academic, and wellness habits, I split this episode into those categories and also have a 100 habits list google doc to reference (linked down below in the show notes). take what you want, leave what you don't, and let's celebrate 100 weeks on the pod!
“i hate social media” today we are going to chat about my (lana's) progression of social media, the ins and outs of trying to be an influencer, and the issues social media causes for our society and world. social media is everything nowadays. some people have social media as a full time job, other people use social media to escape reality for a little bit. but, there are so many issues with social media that have only gotten worse. I found myself not content, unhappy, and under so much pressure when I was posting on social media. I was trying to grow the pod (this one), while also trying to grow as an “influencer.” social media became addictive, and something I was living for. I was no longer living for myself. I mention why I am quitting trying to be an influencer, and learning how to moderate social media in a healthy way. join me in this difficult but interesting chat (aka rant), as I talk about the pressure of being an influencer, how everything is fake, consumerism, negativity, and more. grab a drink, go on a hot girl walk, and let's chat.
“hot girls have high emotional intelligence” today we are going to talk about emotional intelligence. emotional intelligence is the ability to deal with your emotions, and how to understand both yourself and others in an empathetic way. it has been proven that people with high emotional intelligence (EI), are more successful, happier, kinder to themselves, motivated, and have better friendships. listen in on this week's episode as we talk all about high emotional intelligence.
“you can love your body and still want to change it.” today we are going to chat about body image and specifically, how to love your body while also wanting to change it. I think women (and anyone really) are so shamed for wanting to change the way they look. it is as if self-improvement instantly makes other people insecure, and they start to hate on the people trying to make a change. loving your body is not just accepting it and not doing anything, it is appreciating your body, but also giving yourself the freedom to change things if it is realistic & coming from a good place. I discuss both mild "body image changes" such as getting a tan, your teeth whitening, or your lashes done, along with more moderate "body image changes" such as weight loss and acne. even with these things "wrong," you can learn to love where you are currently! let's start to love ourselves but also have the freedom to change how we look if we feel like it.
“creating healthy routines will help you reach your goals faster.” today we are going to talk all about creating healthy & productive routines. I focus more on morning and evening routines but the same tips could be used for creating a routine at any time of day! I start off the episode going over some basic advice for creating routines. I talk about first visualizing what you want your routine to look like before slowly implementing it step by step. the important part I stress is SLOW changes over time. we want these routines to stick! trying to make a new routine all at once is not going to work. what also will not work is beating yourself up as you mess up. building new routines is HARD WORK, but you are putting in the effort and that is what matters. self-compassion will help you reach your goal of having a healthy routine faster, as non-intuitive as that seems. after going over my 8 general tips, I then dive into my current morning and evening routine. as a super busy student, these routines are a lot more realistic than the other "influencers." I want you girls to see a real "wellness princess" that also understands the importance of taking breaks and keeping things real as a girl on the go! I hope you love listening to this episode as much as I like making it. I cannot wait for you to start creating the best morning & evening routines for yourself.
“it is time to clean your space and to maintain yourself in preparation for spring” today we are going to get excited for spring. spring is right around the corner and if you are anything like me, you feel all heavy with winter hoarding, clothing that you do not even like cluttering your closet, a messy room and car, and your highlights all grown out. I go over the things I do to maintain and "spring clean" my space on a daily, weekly, and a "spring cleaning" basis. I give some motivation for why you should strive for an organized and clean space. but I believe that we should not just spring clean our spaces, but also ourselves. I go over daily, weekly, and monthly beauty maintenance things I do to feel my best. from getting my nails done to working out and facials, I believe self-care is making sure you do things to yourself that help you feel like the best version of you. let's get into this very motivational episode to help us all get ready for Spring! **note: I apologize for the audio in this episode. I was having microphone issues and it affects some (but a small amount) of the audio. since it was such a good episode I decided to not re-record it. thank you for understanding.
“do not blame your past self for your negative coping strategies, but understand that you are not a victim. it is your responsibility to dig yourself out.” today we are going to get vulnerable and talk about negative coping strategies. we all have at least a few, and nobody wants to share theirs, so let me share my negative coping strategies: overworking myself, isolating myself, procrastination, emotional eating, and a few more. I am vulnerable in hopes of making someone feel less alone. anyways, those negative coping strategies were built because past-me had no other resources and that is what she turned to. however, it is my responsibility to make sure that I have positive coping strategies and instead of turning away from the emotions, embrace them and allow myself to feel. as someone who used to eat away her feelings (or not eat at all), as someone who would push her friends and family away constantly, I know what it is like to be stuck in this cycle of negative coping strategies and self-sabotage. (btw, self sabotage and negative coping strategies go hand in hand as both turn you away from your ultimate goal of bettering yourself). I talk about a few key steps to understanding your negative coping strategies(that will involve a bit of journaling), how to create healthy coping strategies, and ways that you can overcome the all or nothing mentality. I hope you love this episode. like all of my episodes in 2024, it is a bit more vulnerable, but hopefully it helps you understand why you struggle with that habit that you always battle with, and ways that you can overcome it.
“being hot is a mindset” in this episode, I talk about how to get hot. I go over the physical aspects like why it is hot to be fit (rather than just skinny), nutrition, hygiene, makeup and skincare, hair-care, your wardrobe, and more. however, one thing that is stressed throughout the episode is your self-identity in being a hot person. being hot is a mindset. if you convince yourself you are hot, regardless of your starting point, it will be a lot easier to do the workouts, eat healthy, put effort into your outfits, do your nails, ect. if you act like a hot person, that will give you the motivation and drive to do things that hot people like do (aka take care of themselves). “you are not hot, you are just lazy.” it takes effort to be hot. of course, some people are naturally more gifted than others, but it takes effort to do your makeup, put on a nice outfit, take care of your body, etc. it also takes effort to heal your self-worth so you view yourself as a hot person rather than hyper fixating on all of your flaws. so join me in today's episode where I teach you how to not only look hot, but get the mindset of a hot person.
“our society does not want people to love themselves. if you stay unhappy with yourself you are a customer to many industries include the diet, plastic surgery, skincare, and makeup industry.” I get real and vulnerable in this episode where I talk about how I hated myself for many years and how slowly, I am learning to accept and love me again. I know that many girls (and guys) nowadays dislike everything about themselves. whether it is their body, their face, their skin, their personality, their little habits. it is ok to not like aspects of yourself and want to change, but it can be borderline toxic and obsessive if taken too far. you would be trying to change yourself out of a state of self-hatred rather than self-love. so join me in today's episode where I teach you how to stop being so hard on yourself and how to fall back in love with you!
“productivity is not about how hard or for how long you work, it is about how efficiently you work.” are you tired of procrastinating? are you tired of one homework assignment taking hours even though your friend could finish it within an hour AND get a higher grade than you? being productive is not the same thing as being busy. busy people are doing everything and nothing at the same time. productive people use a system to focus on the right tasks at the right time, and even have free time left over! so if you have ever wondered how the social media influencers (including me lol) could go to school, work, and do social media content, or how the most productive people work at school and work, I spill all of my secrets (as an imperfect productivity girl who also likes her friends, sleep, and self care)!
“trauma is not just a mental thing, it affects your entire physical body” today, I am getting real and honest to talk about trauma. I think we all know there are some things, some past versions of ourselves, some old habits, some old identities, and some memories that are keeping us from becoming the highest versions of ourselves. I talk about how the identity of the girl with an eating disorder limited me from fully healing my relationship with food, or how the identity of the girl with anxiety would hurt my performance on exams. these versions of me did not represent me, but they were forever in the shadows. those things were traumas, they were identities that I used to identify with, and still found myself identifying with. the problem is that I grew, and those identities and traumas no longer served me. so through trial error and 7 simple steps, I let my trauma go and so can you! sit back and enjoy! this episode is deep but transformative.
“I do not care how hot someone is, you need to have standards for yourself of what you will and will not accept from a guy.” today, I am finally going to talk all about the topic I have avoided for two years on the podcast. I have had DM's, comments, emails, and questions from countless of you girls to make an episode on relationship. since I never dated, I found that I was not someone to talk. well, now I am ready to talk. so while I have not dated cause ~standards~, I have a ton of information regarding guys. from what guys like (sponsored by the guys in my life), red-flags, to how to get their attention, and more, I spill it all, with a few stories for extra spice. sit back and enjoy, this episode is a lengthy and juicy one :)
“habits are the building blocks of your future” with new years resolutions and working on becoming the best version of yourself, it is important to work on changing not yourself, but your habits. good habits can build us up to consistently working out, eating healthy, dealing with stress positively, reading, studying, and working. bad habits can lead to gaining weight, feeling like a failure, wasting time, bad finances, ect. if you work on changing your habits, you will get closer to becoming the best version of yourself. listen to today's episode as we talk all about how to create healthy habits and break bad ones!
“if you need to lose weight, here is how we are going to do it the healthy way.” one of the most popular new years resolutions is to lose weight. whether you gained the freshman-15, or have tried losing weight in the past and it never lasted, losing weight is an ok goal to have. IF it does not become toxic. listen to todays episode as we talk all about tips for a healthy and sustainable weight-loss, without any toxic diet culture rules or excessive exercise. *note that this episode SHOULD NOT be listened to if you are struggling with an ED. please take care of your ED first by going to therapy and healing your relationship with food.
"be-friend who you are envious of to learn from them. you cannot become the best version of yourself if you are not around people that make you grow." today, we had Sara Baird on the podcast and we take a deep-dive on comparison. Sara is a girly content creator but while it looks all pink and perfect, she is just like all of us girls, learning to handle comparison. comparison is not something talked enough about and both Sara and I chat about our personal experiences with comparison and how we have helped ourselves get out of the comparison cycle. this is such a relaxing and relatable episode so grab a drinky drink and listen-in our conversation.
“2024 is going to be different, and here is how” new years is always a stressful time. everyone magically thinks that this year is going to be this year…until they find themselves skipping the gym and eating chocolate by valentine's day. trust me, I have been there before, always setting big goals and never achieving them. until I started changing how I thought about new years and how I set goals. instead of aimlessly making random goals, I started a system of creating actionable steps that got me to who I wanted to be. and you can too! listen to todays episode as we talk all about why new years resolutions are (usually) absolute garbage, and how you can create goals that you will actually achieve! I will motivate you for the new year, give you my ins and outs, and also help you make a plan that is doable for you to become the best version of yourself.
“it is your job to make your winter Pinterest worthy.” with christmas & the other winter holidays practically here, I am in the mood for romanticizing the winter months. to help defeat seasonal depression, I go through some fun outdoor and indoor activities you can do to make the most out of your winter season, have fun, and have the pinterest-worthy winter you have always wanted. from bubble baths to skiing, watching a fun show to baking some cookies, we will cover it all in this week's episode!
“there is one thing more pathetic than tearing other people down and that is tearing yourself down.” the morning of recording this episode, lana did not wake up as a pretty pink princess. she woke up as a very angry dragon, ready to give tough love on all the topics she (or other girlies) struggle with. from dealing with singleness, defeating test anxiety and procrastination, enjoying holiday treats, building a healthy relationship with exercise, and loving yourself, this episode covers it all. laugh, cry, learn in this episode. I really enjoyed giving you girls a pep-talk! this is an episode that you do not want to miss!
“truly, do not care what other people think.” girlies, today we had Madison from the getupandglow podcast joining us for THE guide you need to become the best version of yourself. we will walk all about creating vision boards, creating healthy habits, finding your style, and dealing with negative emotions in a healthy way. this is an episode that you do not want to miss!
“ I seem to always pin things to my pinterest board and have things laying around in my online shopping carts, but when someone asks me what gift I want, I always say: nothing or I do not know.” girlies, we are reaching the holiday months. whether or not you celebrate Christmas, it is always good to know exactly what you are putting on your wishlist for a future holiday or birthday. I spill all of my favorite pink pilates princess fashion finds, fitness gifts, makeup and skincare splurges, along with some home things that will make your room/apartment/home perfect. feel free to put anything I mention on your wishlist, purchase it for yourself, or for another fabolous pink queen in your life. I absolutely love the holidays and giving/recieving gifts so I particularly loved putting this episode together. I cannot wait to chat.
“without a mindset, any other glow up things you do will all go to waste. It all starts with the internal.” if you have not been showing up as your best-self lately, I can relate!!! with school, the colder months, and getting busier, it is hard to find the time or prioritize the things that will better yourself. not to mention that it is burnout season. instead of studying, you find yourself spending time procrastinating and scrolling through social media. instead of working out you are just watching Netflix. instead of cooking healthy meals for yourself you are going out to eat. instead of sleeping you are catching up on the things you procrastinate on. it is SUCH a vicious cycle. now you are feeling tired, unhealthy, burned out, and guilty. instead of victimizing yourself, take matters into your own hands and have your IT GIRL GLOW UP. I am making this four-part series to make sure that you and me are working towards becoming the best versions of ourselves before 2024! join me on today's episode, the last one for the “it girl” glow up guide series, where I spill all the mindset and confidence tips you need to be well on your way on becoming your own version of the “it girl.” I think too often we think that doing our makeup, losing/gaining X amount of weight, or changing our entire wardrobe is going to fix our confidence and how we feel about ourselves, but that could not be further from the truth. working on yourself will shine through and you will look prettier, more confident, and feel better when you change your mindset. working on your mindset is the hardest part of glowing up, but it is also the most rewarding. I cannot wait for you to listen to this last “glow up guide” episode and feel empowered.
“if you have been in a slump, are tired, are unmotivated, and are not becoming the best version of yourself, it is time for your glow up!” if you have not been showing up as your best-self lately, I can relate!!! with school, the colder months, and getting busier, it is hard to find the time or prioritize the things that will better yourself. not to mention that it is burnout season. instead of studying, you find yourself spending time procrastinating and scrolling through social media. instead of working out you are just watching Netflix. instead of cooking healthy meals for yourself you are going out to eat. instead of sleeping you are catching up on the things you procrastinate on. it is SUCH a vicious cycle. now you are feeling tired, unhealthy, burned out, and guilty. instead of victimizing yourself, take matters into your own hands and have your IT GIRL GLOW UP. I am making this four-part series to make sure that you and me are working towards becoming the best versions of ourselves before 2024! join me on today's episode all about fitness, eating right, and taking care of your mental health. I believe all three of those things encompass being the best, healthiest, and the most “it girl” version of yourself. we talk about finding the right workout for you, some hacks to working out if you have little time, and how to make working out seem effortless. we also talk about how to eat healthier and my favorite healthy food brands. finally, the episode is finished off with some tips on taking care of your mental health. what are you waiting for? the healthiest, happiest, and most “it girl” version of yourself is out there! it just requires a bit of effort, planning, and discipline and you will be well on your way to the best version of yourself.

I am making this four-part series to make sure that you and me are working towards becoming the best versions of ourselves before 2024! join me on today's episode on ways to find your style, how to dress for your body-type and color palette, and how to do your makeup in a way that compliments your features rather than trying to conceal and hide everything. I think too often people forget the impact of wearing an outfit that looks and feels great and having your makeup done correctly. when you look and feel good, you are more productive and happier. who wouldn't want that?
"if you have been in a slump, are tired, are unmotivated, and are not becoming the best version of yourself, it is time for your glow up!” if you have not been showing up as your best-self lately, I can relate!!! with school, the colder months, and getting busier, it is hard to find the time or prioritize the things that will better yourself. not to mention that it is burnout season. instead of studying, you find yourself spending time procrastinating and scrolling through social media. instead of working out you are just watching Netflix. instead of cooking healthy meals for yourself you are going out to eat. instead of sleeping you are catching up on the things you procrastinate on. it is SUCH a vicious cycle. now you are feeling tired, unhealthy, burned out, and guilty. instead of victimizing yourself, take matters into your own hands and have your IT GIRL GLOW UP. I share some self-care things NOBODY wants to tell you but they change your entire life. at the end of the day, how you look also impacts how you feel and how you feel impacts your motivation, productivity, and outlook on life. so moral of the story: look good, feel good, work hard.
“you are not boring. your life is not boring. you just do not have enough hobbies.” life can get boring, especially if you make it. if you spend more time focusing on gossip, drama, other people's lives, and social media, then maybe it is time to get some *hot girl hobbies*. filling your schedule with a variety of different activities that you enjoy makes you happier, less bored, and more productive. I talk about three major groups of hobbies: hobbies that are creative and educational, hobbies that keep you fit, and hobbies that can make you money. having a good balance of all of these activities can make sure you are enjoying different hobbies and finding a way to incorporate them all in your schedule. from ballet to graphic design, painting to boxing, there are really a fun habits for everyone.
“you need to be prepared to sacrifice short-term happiness for the long-term goal of achieving your dream life.” so, you are not achieving your dream life? you want to have time to meditate, workout, journal, study, and do self-care but just cannot find the time? no, you have the time. you are just not prioritizing it. today we are going to talk about priorities. having a “holy-three” priority list can make sure that you are focusing on the right things rather than all the things. it is so easy in today's busy world to just play defense with your to-do lists, but we need to play offense. we need to know what to attack first since that is what is most important. take control of your to-do list, your schedule, your time, and your priorities, and get closer to the highest version of you.
“it is completely normal to feel lost when it comes to what and when you workout. especially if you are new to fitness in general. half of the girls swear by weightlifting and the other half pilates. so, what do you do to look good, feel good, but not end up bulky?.” today, I am going to spill all the things you need to start creating your personalized workout plan to look and feel good, and not bulky. we will discuss how to incorporate things like cardio with pilates and weightlifting for the best (toned) results ever. as someone who HAS gotten bulky from weightlifting in the past, this is an episode that my past-self needed. it is possible to create a workout plan WITH weightlifting that does not result in bulk. I take inspiration from the VS models to get the toned look we all want. some of the topics we will cover include how to create a workout plan fit for YOUR body, how to weight lift for strength and not bulk, combining weightlifting with pilates, cardio, and rest days.
“when you are successful, beautiful, intelligent, focused on yourself, people are going to feel threatened by you. this leads to hate comments IRL or online” today, we are going to talk all about haters. just recently, one of my videos on my main account @lovelywithlana received a lot of hate and criticism. a few years ago, this would have really bothered me, but now, I really do not care. why? I learned how to deal with haters. haters can be in real life (IRL) or online. while it is easier to hate online, hate is everywhere and the more successful you become, the more hate you will attract. so I am not going to tell you to block everyone and stay off of social media. instead, I am going to explain the easy three steps in which I find confidence within myself, and deal with haters. as always, the podcast episode can be found by clicking the link in bio!

“you may think you have a healthy relationship with food, until you realize that most of the beliefs and rules you have around food are undermining your body's signs.” today, let's dive into the topic of your relationship with food. now, I know this is a loaded topic for many women, whether or not you had an ED (eating disorder) in the past. diet culture, social media, magazines, and even our own family impact our relationship with food and instill beliefs about food that are actually undermining what your body needs. spoiler alert: diets do not work, eating after 8 PM will not magically make you gain weight, and cutting out your favorite foods sets you up for a binge. I will discuss all the food “diet culture” beliefs that you may hold and how these beliefs are not allowing full food freedom and a healthy, intuitive, relationship with food. if you want a healthy relationship with food, this is the episode for you!
“your highest version of yourself may be different from mine, but the steps to get there are exactly the same.” today, let's dive into the topic of becoming the “highest version of yourself.” I feel like I mention becoming the “best” or “highest” version of yourself in every single episode, so it is overdue for an explanation. becoming the highest version of you can change as you grow as a person, but ultimately it is about embodying who you want to be. it is a little bit “fake it till you make it.” it requires you stepping out, identifying who you want to be, why you want to be that, and acting on steps to get you closer to your ideal self. so whether you want to go to Harvard, open a business, lose weight, build healthy habits, move to a new city, wake up earlier, find your style, or anything in between: this is the episode for you.
“if you do not like yourself, change. you are not ever stuck in one place.” today, I talk all about personalities. your personality is WHO you are, WHAT you are known for, and HOW you carry yourself around others. but where in the world does our personality come from? what if we want it to change? sometimes our personalities do not align with inner-selves. maybe we have become calmer and kinder on the inside, but still have the horrible, mean personality on the outside. maybe we are becoming more self-aware and noticing that we are SUPER mean, rude, ungrateful, disloyal. luckily, a little bit of honesty and reframing your mindset and habits can completely change your personality. you can let your true inner-self shine rather than being stuck in a persona of the past. listen into today's episode as I talk about where personalities come from, how to be self-aware with negative traits, and how to change your personality.
“balancing a social life, your physical and mental well-being, along with getting an A in school can be difficult, but it is possible.” today, I chat about all things back to school. from a few tips for a smooth transition into the school year, to what I do, as an honors 4.0 student, to succeed in all of my classes and stay organized. I spill some secrets on how exactly I study to get a good grade, and what technique I use, along with how I convince myself to get homework done right away and beat procrastination. throughout this episode I also mention how to maintain friendships and prioritize your physical and mental well-being. this is an episode you do not want to miss, whether or not you are at the start of the school year, or in the middle.
“i felt like I needed to do something to build discipline and trust in myself. it had to be something that pushed my limits.” today I chat about starting on 75 day hard. I decided that I was tired of all the excuses I was making for myself and want to kick-start my discipline. however, like everything, I change some things around to work for MY lifestyle. for example, not really going on a diet but going on a diet. I want to make any challenge be challenging but also sustainable for me. if you want to kick-start your wellness journey, definitely go listen to the episode. you can join the 75 day hard with me.
“I love working for myself and through social media, have been able to become an entrepreneur.” today, me and returning guest Yasmin from the morning vibes podcast have a girlie chat about becoming the best version of yourself. we talk all about trusting yourself and going for your dreams. “because quite honestly…stop waiting for someone else to be your perfect person. be your own perfect person.” today, girlie pops is a casual “facetime chat” about all things pink, Barbie, skincare, life, relationships, and dating yourself. I discuss some topics and my opinion on the Barbie movie, and then dive into the questions and topics you girls asked me to answer. warning, a lot of tea is spilled in this episode; either from my personal life or one of the girls.
“when you walk into a room, keep your head up. even if you do not feel like it, fake it till you make it ” confidence is hard. with everyone telling you how you “should” be, it can nearly impossible to become the best and most authentic version of yourself. in this episode, gracie (fancylikegracie) and I chatted about how she found the confidence within herself to prove everyone who doubted her wrong. we talk about everything from high school bullies and eating disorder recovery, to soft-girl/coquette fashion and finding the confidence within yourself to be who you are meant to be. this is an episode you definitely do not want to skip out on! I must apologize if my responses are so repetitive. Gracie and I are so similar that there are a lot of “yup's” and “mhms” from my end. this is your sign that if you look around, you may notice that people have very similar experiences and beliefs as you.
