How badly do the Steelers really want Tyreek Hill? The price tag is high, the trade return may not be too bad, but Hill has plenty of baggage. Is he worth all of that? The guys think it's pretty damming to Roman Wilson because the Steelers could be at the point where they don't think this guy has anything in his game. After the good day from Calvin Austin, should the Steelers be banging down the door for this to happen?

Could Roman Wilson follow in similar steps as Calvin Austin did? Austin didn't play his rookie year with a foot injury, like Wilson missed his rookie season. Wilson had 10 snaps and is going to probably be eased into it. Mike Tomlin called Jabrill Peppers a football player first, and a positional player second.
Hour 3 with Donny Football: DeShon Ellliott is out this week. Mike Tomlin confirms the Steelers will sign Jabrill Peppers. Tomlin said Broderick Jones needs to be better and it's not good that Aaron Rodgers is being pressured a lot. Could Roman Wilson follow in similar steps as Calvin Austin did? Mike Tomlin was complimentary of Jabrill Peppers.

Munaf Manji and SleepyJ talk NFL Week 1 player props podcast. The NFL Player Props Podcast for Week 1 opens with Munaf Manji reintroducing the show and welcoming back co-host SleepyJ. After reflecting on last year's success, they dive directly into their picks, bringing a mix of analysis, history, and betting strategy designed to help listeners find winning positions across quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and tight end props . At the quarterback spot, SleepyJ targets Patriots rookie Drake May to eclipse 214.5 passing yards. He cites May's solid rookie season, the addition of Stephon Diggs, and the Raiders' poor secondary as key factors. Munaf counters with a contrarian angle, backing Cam Ward under 192.5 passing yards in his NFL debut with Denver's elite defense looming. The contrast underscores their method of evaluating matchups through historical data and roster changes. Moving to running backs, SleepyJ highlights Jaguars back Tank Bigsby over 43.5 yards, projecting a breakout year with a favorable matchup against Carolina's porous run defense. Munaf selects Bucky Irving of Tampa Bay to break a run over 15.5 yards, citing his explosive track record and increased role due to wide receiver injuries. Together, they emphasize opportunity, usage, and defensive weakness as central handicapping factors. On receivers, SleepyJ leans on Steelers slot man Calvin Austin over 23.5 yards, predicting Aaron Rodgers' quick-release style will funnel targets his way. Munaf rides Jacksonville again, taking Brian Thomas Jr. over 74.5 yards, supported by his late-season surge and Carolina's ongoing struggles. This section showcases their focus on quarterback tendencies, depth chart shifts, and defensive matchups. Tight ends follow with SleepyJ playing Giants rookie Theo Johnson over 23.5 yards, linking Russell Wilson's historical reliance on tight ends to Johnson's breakout potential. Munaf builds on the Browns' passing game, touting David Njoku over 49.5 yards given Joe Flacco's chemistry with him in 2023. Their analysis highlights veteran quarterback tendencies and undervalued lines. The best bet for Week 1 ties these threads together: Joe Flacco over 241.5 passing yards against the Bengals. Both agree that Cleveland's passing attack matches well against Cincinnati's suspect defense and that Flacco's recent numbers support laddering yardage bets. They predict an up-tempo game script with plenty of volume, positioning Flacco as one of the week's most appealing prop plays. Interspersed throughout are plugs for Pregame.com promotions, including the Kickoff25 code, free contests, and a detailed newsletter packed with picks across NFL, college football, and even UFC. The hosts remind listeners that consistency, preparation, and disciplined play are essential to finding value across the board. In closing, they stress that the podcast will remain a weekly feature, giving bettors time to digest picks before kickoff. The tone mixes entertainment with sharp handicapping, balancing statistical depth with accessible explanations. By covering rookies, veterans, and team-specific matchups, the show establishes itself as a go-to source for player prop insights heading into Week 1 . This transcript captures a structured breakdown of betting value across every key offensive position, while reinforcing themes of matchup analysis, historical precedent, and market timing. For fans and bettors alike, it offers a blend of strategy, insight, and practical plays to launch the NFL season. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

On the Friday edition of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by Edgar Snyder and Associates, host Adam Bittner welcomes Post-Gazette sports columnist Jason Mackey to take stock of DK Metcalf's role with the Steelers. Is he actually the most important player on the team? Despite the presence of Aaron Rodgers, Cam Heyward, T.J. Watt and Jaylen Ramsey? Should his contract elevate the pressure for him to post bigger numbers than George Pickens did? Or is it the lack of depth behind him, with Roman Wilson and Calvin Austin still finding their way? And what difference will his attitude make in this Steelers locker room? Our duo tackles those questions; what success looks like for Rodgers within OC Arthur Smith's offense; and Cam Heyward's handling of his contract dispute with GM Omar Khan's front office.
Mike Tomlin is confident in his receiver group. Is he? The Steelers have looked around for WRs throughout the offseason and have yet again come up empty as the season is set to begin for real. He talked up Scotty Miller, Calvin Austin and Roman Wilson in his weekly presser. We looked at the stat lines for WRs in last season's opener and they were comical. Did the Steelers make a mistake by trading George Pickens? Poni thinks fantasy football is a good story teller to how people really feel about the Steelers. Does Bob Pompeani sponsor a clothing line? Where do most of the power rankings have the Steelers going into the season? Poni is doubting Derrick Henry following a monster year. Tomlin Tidbits – Who will fill the void of Derrick Harmon on Sunday?

Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo from the PG joined the show. Ray reacted to the Micah Parsons trade as the details were coming in. Ray talked about the storylines with Steelers-Jets in Week 1, along with their game against the revamped Packers later in the season. Ray said the Steelers are confident in Calvin Austin and may not add anything at receiver. He believes Ben Skowronek could be their WR2. Ray agreed with Jeff from yesterday and told us Will Howard may spend the whole season on IR. Ray thinks the Steelers will go 10-7 and win a wild card game.
BREAKING NEWS: Micah Parsons has been traded to the Packers. How has this impacted the league? The Steelers-Packers matchup got juicier and the Steelers are now an underdog in that game. The Packers visit the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football in Week 4. Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo from the PG joined the show. Ray reacted to the Micah Parsons trade as the details were coming in. Mark Kaboly says that the Steelers are content with going into the season with Calvin Austin and Roman Wilson as the compliments at wide receiver for DK Metcalf and are not actively shopping for a WR2. The guys discuss if this is the right move(it is not).
Kenny Pickett was traded, again. It's now his 4th team in as many years. But it's a worse look for Kevin Colbert, whose final draft looks like an absolute disaster. The Steelers also cut DeMarvin Leal, who came from the same draft class, which now means their first 3 picks from 2022 are gone, with only Connor Heyward and Calvin Austin still on the roster.

Some calls on the final few drafts of the Kevin Colbert era. Happy 60th, Joe Starkey! The Penguins also rebooted their Hall of Fame, but a notable writer was left off their voter list. More calls on the Steelers.
Hour 2 with Jason Mackey: Ray Fittipaldo thinks the Steelers would be ok in the short term with Yahya Black in the short term. Black has the potential to be a solid player. Calvin Austin hasn't practiced or done much in the last three weeks. Pat Narduzzi said the maturity level is different for this team and the players. Pat thinks the secondary is deep and some people don't talk enough about them and also Eli Holstein. Narduzzi thinks Dez Reid is the toughest guy on the team.
Ray thinks the Steelers would be ok in the short term with Yahya Black in the short term. Black has the potential to be a solid player. Calvin Austin hasn't practiced or done much in the last three weeks. Scotty Miller may have an increased role with Rodgers. Steelers beat the Panthers 19-10 to close preseason.
It's Steelers gameday, who will solidify their spot on the 53-man roster? Poni says that Mike Tomlin is treating this game like the old third preseason game. The Panthers are resting almost all of their starters in this game. What Steelers players are you looking forward to watching? Charlie Batch said that a single throw in the preseason saved himself from getting cut. Rudolph's Replies – What did Mason Rudolph say to Steelers media? Mason Rudolph says that the growth of the offensive line has been great. He also calls Calvin Austin a great player. Mason took a shot at the old Steelers receivers. Power Rankings. What are the top 5 Steeler roster battles to look out for tonight? Cornerback is mentioned as an important one with Beanie Bishop, Brandon Echols, and Cory Trice battling it out. The guys don't think that Demarvin Leal will make the team. Can Skylar Thompson beat out Will Howard? All three guys have the punter battle at 1.
Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo from the PG joined the show. Ray is curious how much we will see of the starting defense tonight. Ray said the only way DeMarvin Leal is kept is if the Steelers roll with 5 edge rushers, which they haven't done in recent memory. Is there any reason to be concerned with Jack Sawyer so far? Ray said the Steelers will have an interesting decision to make with Nick Herbig after this season. Ray indicated that Skylar Thompson could find himself a roster spot because Will Howard did not play at all in the preseason. How is Ray feeling about the run game to this point in the preseason? Ray doesn't expect Calvin Austin to play tonight and he projected the receiver room for the initial 53-man roster.
We are 2 hours away from Steelers-Panthers in the preseason finale. What could this final roster look like? We are getting to see most of the starting defense tonight. Poni thinks it's the best defense in the AFC. How did we rank the Steelers defensive starters? Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo from the PG joined the show. Brian doesn't think the Steelers are bringing Gabe Davis in to sign him today, but rather to keep tabs on his injury. Things aren't clear with Cam Heyward and Chris Boswell. Boswell played in Saturday's preseason game. Calvin Austin talked about practice yesterday and said the injury is frustrating. Preseason success is like seeing the ball go through the hoop for Roman Wilson.
We reacted to the Steelers preseason loss to the Buccaneers on Saturday night. No big concerns over the outcome of the game, but the game produced a question as we get closer to the regular season – do the Steelers have a plan at WR2? Roman Wilson showed us a little something in the game, but Calvin Austin is still hurt and the Steelers have Gabe Davis coming in for his second visit in almost as many months. How much weight can you carry preseason performances with? Do the Steelers value a WR2? Pirates pre-post game host Dan Zangrilli joined the show. Dan had play-by-play duties for the games Saturday and Sunday at Wrigley Field – unfortunately, both Pirates losses. What did Dan think of some of his calls when listening back to his broadcasts? Dan said he took some ivy off the wall at Wrigley before coming back home. Dan doesn't expect to call another Pirates game this season, but future games could be in the works.

Steelers correspondent Mark Kaboly from The Pat McAfee Show joined the show. Mark says that everybody has asked for a raise before, so it is hard to blame Cam Heyward. Mark says that after this contract, the Steelers shouldn't want to sign Cam Heyward for more than a year. Mark didn't like the interview with Jake “the snake” Roberts. Mark says Heyward is more important to the Steelers than Boswell is. More w/ Mark – Mark says that Calvin Austin's injury is somewhat worrisome. Mark thinks that the Steelers will add another receiver before the beginning of the season, but doesn't think it will be Odell. Mark says that Roman Wilson stood out during training camp. He says that if all receivers were healthy, Austin would be the 2. Mark also says that Darnell Washington will never be the Steelers' best tight end. More w/ Mark – Mark says that the joint practice with the Bucs was hard to cover because there was so much going on at once. Mark praises Kaleb Johnson and says not to worry about him. Mark says he'd take Aaron Rodgers over Mason Rudolph. He also says that DK Metcalf is the Steelers' best receiver since Antonio Brown.
Apparently, Calvin Austin has some sort of injury and it is not good. Should the Steelers go out and get another wide receiver? Odell Beckham Jr was on a podcast recently and talked about how much he loved Aaron Rodgers, and did not rule out signing with the Steelers. Poni said that DJ Turner is a name that has been mentioned as a potential future Steeler.

Poni said that DJ Turner is a name that has been mentioned as a potential future Steeler. Jeff Hathhorn named Aaron Rodgers the Steelers' offensive MVP of training camp. He also said that Scottie Miller was very consistent. Donny Football Debrief – Donny said that he has 0 interest in Hard Knocks. Mullsy agrees with this, and Poni says that they have ruined the show recently.
The Limitless Express - Myles Garrett has been cited for another speeding ticket in Cleveland and is now up to six after driving 100 mph after the plane landed in Cleveland. Calvin Austin has a minor abdominal issue, but is in a battle for touches and the Steelers have shown the usage of three tight ends. Should Aaron Rodgers play in the preseason?

Where is Aaron Rodgers?
Bob will call the Steelers preseason game on Saturday in Jacksonville. Tim Benz said the Steelers were one of 10 teams that were at Arizona State's practice, maybe to see Sam Leavitt. The Steelers list three starting tight ends on the depth chart. Roman Wilson is third string behind Calvin Austin and Robert Woods.
Tim Benz in for Mark. He gives position by position analysis on the Steelers. Pickens comments about the Cowboys and Stephen As response as well. Tim talks to Steelers receiver Calvin Austin at camp.

Alan Saunders and Zachary Smith discuss all things Pittsburgh Steelers. On today's episode, we discuss Derrick Harmon's impressive start to training camp, Calvin Austin hoping to continue to build on his mini breakout last season, the level of concern for Broderick Jones and Juan Thornhill, Will Howard leaping Skylar Thompson and much more. Hour 1 with Jason Mackey: What did we learn from the first day of Steelers training camp? A lot of reps for Roman Wilson and Calvin Austin. Mark in Brentwood thinks it's ridiculous that people are overreacting to Aaron Rodgers' interception and thinks players try things out in practice and want to see how their teammates react. Kaleb Johnson had a nice practice but Jason isn't overreacting to a practice with no pads.
A lot of reps for Roman Wilson and Calvin Austin. Kaleb Johnson had a good practice. Aaron Rodgers threw an interception on his first pass and everyone is overreacting. Konnor Griffin is the No. 1 prospect in MLB and the arguably the best pitching prospect in Bubba Chandler. Overreaction Friday after the first day at St. Vincent.
Do the Steelers have a WR2 problem? It feels like the situation they had themselves in last season. The team seems overconfident that Calvin Austin can fill that void. What about Roman Wilson after just a handful of snaps last season? Robert Woods doesn't seem to be the man for the job either. Unless they use a deadly multi-TE set, they are running into a familiar issue.
In Thursday's Letters from Camp podcast we recap Day 1 of Steelers practice in Latrobe and you'll hear from WR Calvin Austin. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Steelers insider Mark Kaboly comes on The Fan Hotline to talk about the latest as it relates to the Steelers with Adam Crowley.
Chris Carter joins the show to talk about his grilling skills, how good Kaleb Johnson can be, what we can expect from Jaylen Warren this season, if Joe Burrow or Patrick Mahomes is the best QB in the NFL right now, how good the Bengals will be this season, if Roman Wilson will be better than Calvin Austin this year, and more!
Hour 3: Chris Carter joins the show to talk all things Steelers! Justin Tucker has been suspended by the NFL. And did Dom take another shot at Austin Bechtold?
At the halfway point of the season, the Pirates are 32-50. What has gone so wrong this season? Chris said the real story is about Bob Nutting, but not in the way you may expect. Chris went through a couple of notable owners in sports that showed a true identity. It seems like the GM is safe when he shouldn't be. How many more times can we watch Ben Cherington screw something up? We struggled to think of many major positive moves made by GMBC in his tenure outside of Paul Skenes and Bailey Falter. What will the deadline look like this year? Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo from the PG joined the show. Ray reacted to the words from Aaron Rodgers the other day, stating that it will likely be his final season. Ray does think this all has a chance to work out, which could mean a respectable showing in the playoffs and maybe even a win. Ray doesn't believe the Rodgers legacy hinges on what he does in Pittsburgh. How much pressure would Mike Tomlin be under if the Steelers can't win a playoff game? Ray thinks pressure could be put on Omar Khan and Andy Weidl to circle that next QB. A few quick hitters for Ray before he said goodbye involving Jaylen Warren, Calvin Austin and TJ Watt. Total Request Thursday.
