The guys break down a busy stretch of sports news, starting with the Giants reshaping their wide receiver room by adding Calvin Austin and Darnell Mooney. They debate what the moves mean for the offense, whether Darius Slayton could be on his way out, and why the additions could create new mismatches even if the team still targets a receiver in the draft. They also dive into the quarterback carousel after Justin Fields is traded to the Kansas City Chiefs while the Jets pivot toward Geno Smith for stability. Later, the conversation shifts to Citi Field as new construction threatens to create a parking nightmare for Mets fans. From shuttle plans and transit incentives to street-parking “secrets,” the crew shares stories, frustrations, and survival strategies for getting to the ballpark this season.

In this episode, we break down a busy Steelers offseason highlighted by the trade for Michael Pittman Jr. and key free‑agency additions, including CB Jamel Dean, RB Rico Dowdle, and DL Sebastian Joseph‑Day. We also examine the impact of notable departures like Calvin Austin, Isaac Seumalo, Kenneth Gainwell, and James Pierre. From there, we dive into what's next for Pittsburgh: What should the Steelers still target in free agency? Where are the biggest remaining roster holes? And which positions offer the best value moving forward as the draft approaches? We zoom out to look at the big picture of the Steelers' roster build, why everything now hinges on one quarterback decision, and how smart value moves could shape the rest of the offseason.

Steelers correspondent Mark Kaboly from The Pat McAfee Show joined the show. The conversation started with receivers after Calvin Austin signed a cheap deal with the Giants yesterday. Mark said there really wasn't any interest in Austin coming back. Mark thinks they could still bring in a lower-tier veteran WR. Mark believes the Steelers still have hope in Roman Wilson and said Wilson could be a starter over the receiver they potentially draft 21st overall. More w/ Mark – Rasheed Walker, one of the late big-name free agents on the market, signed with the Panthers in the last few minutes. What happened with the Steelers signing Brock Hoffman? Are the Steelers going to sign a notable left guard to replace Isaac Seumalo? Mark said he would have called Wyatt Teller instead of riding with what the Steelers have on the left side of the line. Mark likes the Jaquan Brisker signing and talked about how they can move their pieces around the defense. What does the alignment look like if they face a team with 3 good targets in Week 1? Mark credited Omar Khan for the homework he did on the Michael Pittman Jr. trade and how he got it for so little in terms of draft compensation. More w/ Mark – Steelers media got to meet the newest team members today, including Rico Dowdle, who joins Jaylen Warren in the Steelers backfield as a fellow UDFA. Mark said the Steelers are on the only team whose RB1 & RB2 are UDFAs. The discussion turned to college hoops and whether or not Miami (OH) deserves their chance in the NCAA Tournament.

Mike Tomlin spoke last night a gala at Acrisure Stadium, but he only made a statement. He allegedly was supposed to have a Q&A with the media, but blew them off after the event. Last night was also the final cap on the 2022 Steelers draft with Calvin Austin going to the Giants and Connor Heyward going to the Raiders. It's one of the worst drafts in Steelers history. But is it the worst? We took a little trip down memory lane. Bears expert Mark Grote from 670 The Score joined the show. Mark explained why the Steelers may have gotten a discount on Jaquan Brisker. Brisker has had 3 documented concussions in his career so far. Mark described Brisker as a ‘talker' and has no problem doing it on the field. Mark mentioned that Brisker called out the Dennis Allen defense at one point last season. Mark said Brisker is a physical player that has no problem willing to help out in run defense. His pass coverage is mediocre and probably not his best skill. Mark rated Brisker's game in other aspects of defense. Mark thinks Brisker for $5.5M is a steal for the Steelers. The Giants added real speed and return juice with Calvin Austin III, but they also added another smaller receiver to a room that still has real questions about size, blocking, and true depth. Is this a smart low-cost addition, or are the Giants making another small bet at wide receiver instead of solving the bigger problem?Follow us on Spotify for more Giants reactions, and if you listen on Apple, please drop a 5-star rating and review to help the show grow. This episode is built around the Calvin Austin signing because that was the real debate of the night. Drew and Rob break down why the deal itself makes sense on paper at one year and $1.5 million, why the incentives matter, and why Austin's speed gives this offense something it badly needed. They get into the 4.32 speed, the return ability, the gadget usage, and why Austin could absolutely carve out a role if the Giants use him the right way. They also make the case that fans are too quick to dismiss a player just because he is not a headline name. If Austin gives this team a few hundred receiving yards, return value, and real speed stress, that is strong value on this contract. At the same time, the episode keeps coming back to the real tradeoff. Austin is still undersized. He is not the guy you want winning jump balls. He is not bringing much as a blocker. And if the Giants keep stacking smaller complementary receivers without adding enough size and complete skill sets around Malik Nabors, are they really building a better room or just adding another specialist? That is the tension running through the entire discussion. The guys also talk about whether Austin is really a Jalin Hyatt replacement, whether Jackson Dart could benefit from this type of weapon, and why the Giants may still need to draft another receiver even after making this move. The overall takeaway is that the contract is good, the role makes sense, and the value is real, but the broader receiver room still feels unfinished. The rest of the show touches on the other Day 4 moves and reactions, including Chris Board being released, Aaron Stinnie and Ryan Miller returning, the Abdul Carter No. 3 jersey buzz, and media comments from Tremaine Edmunds, Jermaine Eluemunor, Micah McFadden, Patrick Ricard, and Jason Sanders. But the center of gravity is Calvin Austin and what this signing says about how the Giants are trying to build the offense. This is the audio from yesterday morning's live show.Merch: https://2giantgoofballs-shop.fourthwall.com/ Support: https://buymeacoffee.com/2giantgoofballs All episodes: https://2giantgoofballs.buzzsprout.com/Send a textSupport the show

Kyler Murray is in Minnesota today meeting with the Vikings, but before that, Murray met virtually with ‘multiple QB-needy' teams, including the Steelers. Steelers reporters are quickly putting the kibosh on the team signing Murray even if it's for the veteran minimum. Why are people so disgusted with the thought of Murray playing QB for the Steelers? Is Murray an option for more than 2026? The guys couldn't remember if there was this much backlash when the Steelers showed interest in Russell Wilson. A former Steelers QB3 just signed a deal worth $4M and Murray can be had for $1.3M. Are Steelers fans still strongly against Kyler Murray being the team's QB? Cardinals fan called in to tell us he's happy to see Murray go. Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo from the PG joined the show. Ray doesn't think the Steelers were all that close to making a move for Malik Willis. Ray is unaware of the Steelers virtually meeting with Kyler Murray before he went to meet in-person with Minnesota. Is Aaron Rodgers really the best out there after showing what he can and can't do in his first season in Pittsburgh? Ray isn't buying into Kirk Cousins being a real option. Ray thinks the Steelers could even give Rodgers a raise if he comes back in 2026. Michael Pittman Jr. was Ray's choice of ‘best move' made by the Steelers so far in the new league year. Ray isn't ruling out a Calvin Austin return if he agrees to a deal for under $5M/year. Ray believes the next notable WR move is made in the draft. There was a report the other night that the Steelers signed Brock Hoffman to fill a void on the interior of the offensive line, but it was quickly scrubbed and there has been nothing since. Spencer Anderson is the leader in the clubhouse to be left guard, but Ray said there will be competition brought in via free agency or the draft. Ray will be at a dinner later with Mike Tomlin in attendance.

Ray admitted that some of Rodgers' comments yesterday made the situation a little bit more ‘murky.' Ray doesn't expect this to be a question mark until June again this time around. Ray isn't sure how likely it is that any of the outside free agents would come in and be the Steelers QB. Ray talked about the chances Will Howard and Mason Rudolph have to steer the ship. Ray reminded the guys that they will not give Howard the keys without having seen him in any game action. The guys noted that Jacoby Brissett, despite a 1-11 record last season, had numbers eerily similar to Rodgers in 2025. Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Gerry Dulac and Ray Fittipaldo report from coach Mike Tomlin's news conference at the team's South Side facility ahead of an NFL Week 11 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals at Acrisure Stadium. Could Isaac Seumalo return to the lineup this week amid his injury? Will OC Arthur Smith focus on Jaylen Warren, Kenneth Gainwell and the running game more amid struggles in the passing game? Has Roman Wilson earned more opportunity with DK Metcalf and Calvin Austin struggling to make magic with QB Aaron Rodgers? When will tight ends like Pat Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith get more involved in the offense? And how is Tomlin assessing his re-made safety group of Kyle Dugger and Jalen Ramsey? Our duo tackles those questions and more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Munaf Manji and SleepyJ talk NFL Week 1 player props podcast. The NFL Player Props Podcast for Week 1 opens with Munaf Manji reintroducing the show and welcoming back co-host SleepyJ. After reflecting on last year's success, they dive directly into their picks, bringing a mix of analysis, history, and betting strategy designed to help listeners find winning positions across quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and tight end props . At the quarterback spot, SleepyJ targets Patriots rookie Drake May to eclipse 214.5 passing yards. He cites May's solid rookie season, the addition of Stephon Diggs, and the Raiders' poor secondary as key factors. Munaf counters with a contrarian angle, backing Cam Ward under 192.5 passing yards in his NFL debut with Denver's elite defense looming. The contrast underscores their method of evaluating matchups through historical data and roster changes. Moving to running backs, SleepyJ highlights Jaguars back Tank Bigsby over 43.5 yards, projecting a breakout year with a favorable matchup against Carolina's porous run defense. Munaf selects Bucky Irving of Tampa Bay to break a run over 15.5 yards, citing his explosive track record and increased role due to wide receiver injuries. Together, they emphasize opportunity, usage, and defensive weakness as central handicapping factors. On receivers, SleepyJ leans on Steelers slot man Calvin Austin over 23.5 yards, predicting Aaron Rodgers' quick-release style will funnel targets his way. Munaf rides Jacksonville again, taking Brian Thomas Jr. over 74.5 yards, supported by his late-season surge and Carolina's ongoing struggles. This section showcases their focus on quarterback tendencies, depth chart shifts, and defensive matchups. Tight ends follow with SleepyJ playing Giants rookie Theo Johnson over 23.5 yards, linking Russell Wilson's historical reliance on tight ends to Johnson's breakout potential. Munaf builds on the Browns' passing game, touting David Njoku over 49.5 yards given Joe Flacco's chemistry with him in 2023. Their analysis highlights veteran quarterback tendencies and undervalued lines. The best bet for Week 1 ties these threads together: Joe Flacco over 241.5 passing yards against the Bengals. Both agree that Cleveland's passing attack matches well against Cincinnati's suspect defense and that Flacco's recent numbers support laddering yardage bets. They predict an up-tempo game script with plenty of volume, positioning Flacco as one of the week's most appealing prop plays. Interspersed throughout are plugs for Pregame.com promotions, including the Kickoff25 code, free contests, and a detailed newsletter packed with picks across NFL, college football, and even UFC. The hosts remind listeners that consistency, preparation, and disciplined play are essential to finding value across the board. In closing, they stress that the podcast will remain a weekly feature, giving bettors time to digest picks before kickoff. The tone mixes entertainment with sharp handicapping, balancing statistical depth with accessible explanations. By covering rookies, veterans, and team-specific matchups, the show establishes itself as a go-to source for player prop insights heading into Week 1 . This transcript captures a structured breakdown of betting value across every key offensive position, while reinforcing themes of matchup analysis, historical precedent, and market timing. For fans and bettors alike, it offers a blend of strategy, insight, and practical plays to launch the NFL season. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
