Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper will meet with former New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton today in New York. According to Jeff Duncan of The Times-Picayune/The New Orleans Advocate Saints GM Mickey Loomis is looking for similar compensation that the Raiders received they traded John Gruden to Tampa Bay years ago. Meaning that the Panthers would have to part ways with multiple first-round picks in order to acquire the Super Bowl-winning HC. But that leaves the question of how the Panthers will then acquire a franchise QB. Can the Panthers trade for Sean Payton and find a franchise QB this offseason? John Gruden has been named as an Assistant Coach for the Boston Bruins.   The former defenseman was drafted by the Bruins in 1990 and brings an impressive coaching track record to Boston. He'll focus on the blue line, and will look to help generate more offense from the team's defensemen. Jack Ahcan signed a new deal last week, and he'll get a chance to impress in training camp and earn some NHL playing time amind injuries.
