A weekend without club football left Brendan Dunlop, Craig Forrest and James Sharman with no shortage of talking points as they recklessly speculate which of Canada's upcoming opposition will give CanMNT the most trouble, and how Russia have set up fixtures against internal states. The sudden geopolitical shift in topics led to discussion of the Czech Republic's official name change to "Czechia", which stunned Sharms. Craig can't believe how good Luka Modric still is for Croatia at age 37. And shockingly, Dunny didn't even speak about Cristiano Ronaldo's goal-less 90 minute performance for Portugal.    CanMNT's approach against Uruguay on Tuesday, Gareth Southgate's "crisis" and USMNT's poor form are also discussed at length, as is Ballou Tabla's worldie for CPL Playoff bound Atletico Ottawa, and Chicharito's playoff chance boosting brace for the LA Galaxy in MLS's lone weekend fixture.    England lose to Italy again, relegating the Three Lions to the second division, which has the English media circling Gareth Southgate and many people asking "what IS the Nations League?" James Sharman, Craig Forrest, Jimmy Brennan and Brendan Dunlop react to Thursday's Transfer Deadline Day deals, and the incredible amounts of money spent by Premier League clubs in this summer transfer window. More than £2 billion ($3.03 million CAD) changed hands, seeing players like Antony join Manchester United and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang return to London to join Chelsea. But Cristiano Ronaldo did not leave Man Utd, despite a summer of speculation that he did not want to stay and miss out on a season of Champions League football.    Leicester City's reluctance to spend money has Brendan Rodgers calling out his owners, and the crew wondering if he's the next man to lose his job. Would he get another big job after LCFC? Chelsea fans will have to wait to see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in Chelsea blue as he recovers from a broken jaw suffered during a home invasion in Spain, that led to a "more money, more problems" conversation about what footballers, like Paul Pogba, have to deal with off the pitch that people often don't consider when criticizing what they're doing on the pitch. Transfer Deadline Day is one of the most exciting days for any soccer fan. James Sharman, Craig Forrest, Jimmy Brennan and Brendan Dunlop react to Toronto FC's 2-2 draw with the LA Galaxy in the Greg Vanney Derby. Riqui Puig's wonder goal has the crew gushing. The deadline day rumours of Neymar to Chelsea have the crew speculating if the Brazilian would be as effective a superstar in the Premier League as Erling Haaland, who remarkably is on pace to score 76 goals this season after bagging his second hat-trick in as many games. The boys try to figure out how Premier League defenses could plot to stop the big Norwegian, and Scott Parker's poorly timed sacking has them all sympathetic. Craiger went to a 225 year-old cathedral and the organist played "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles". There's video on the @footy_prime Twitter account. From Newcastle's performance against Manchester City, turning St. James' Park back into the fortress it once was, with Nick Pope quickly becoming Craig's favourite shot stopper, to the crew praising Jesse Marsch for getting it right at Leeds and stunning Chelsea at Elland Road, they get to it all.    Sharman admits he's never met a Finnish person and hasn't watched the last episode of All Or Nothing: Arsenal because he loves Mikel Arteta and doesn't want it to end, even though Gabriel Jesus has yet to make him a true believer. Dunny is adamant that Gooners have ruined tequila for everybody with that Saliba song. Craig credits Graham Potter for how sharp Brighton have been to start the season, but doesn't want to talk about West Ham.  Dunny isn't as depressed about Villa's loss to Crystal Palace as you might expect and gives some background on his racecar driving father. James Sharman, Craig Forrest, Jimmy Brennan and Brendan Dunlop collectively pick their jaws up off the floor after Toronto FC left back Domenico Criscito scored one of the best goals in Major League Soccer history, during TFC‘s 2-2 draw with the New England Revolution, Wednesday night at BMO Field. Dunny was in the stands and caught the moment on video. The rest of the crew would never have their phone out at a game. Adrian Rabiot's mother cost him a move to Manchester United, which led to a conversation about parental influence on players. Juventus have counter offered USMNT international Weston McKennie, which leads to a discussion about United's “throw everything at the wall and see what sticks” transfer policy. The boys debate whether a transfer to Newcastle United is more appealing than a move to Man Utd, and what Red Devils supporters expect from new owners, should the Glazers sell off a piece of the pie.    With the Premier League celebrating it's 30th anniversary, we celebrate our favourite goalkeeper and test Craig's memory about that historic 1992/93 season. Producer Dan Wong reads from the mail sack which sends Craig down story time road about Dennis Bergkamp, and Jimmy and Craig hang Sharman out to dry, moving just how hard it is to be a television/podcast host working with former professional athletes.    The Premier League has a new home in Canada this season: FuboTV. Friend of the show, Jonathan Osorio joined James Sharman, Craig Forrest, Brendan Dunlop and producer Dan Wong on this week's interview series episode. The 30 year-old is having quite the season for both club and country and shared insights into what it's been like at Toronto FC since the arrivals of Lorenzo Insigne, Federico Bernadeschi and Domenico Criscito. Oso talks about the impact the Italians have had on the team, the benefits and challenges he's found in adapting his own game through the ups and downs of this season, how excited he is to play alongside Richie Laryea again, and the belief the squad has as the team heads in to the most important stretch of the MLS regular season. You might be surprised to learn who has control of the music in the change room.    Sharms refuses to talk about Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, or Darwin Núñez's red card. And the crew celebrated Craig Forrest on the 30th anniversary of the first ever Premier League game by quizzing him to name as many of the 22 players that were on the pitch that day when Ipswich Town played Aston Villa to a 1-1 draw. Craig impressed himself by how sharp his memory was.    The Premier League has a new home in Canada this season: FuboTV. Don't miss a second of the action! Imagine meeting one of the most influential sports people of all time, and then watching one of the greatest athletes ever play one of her final matches, all on the same day! That's how James Sharman, Craig Forrest, Jimmy Brennan, Brendan Dunlop and producer Dan Wong spent their Wednesday. The crew attended Tennis Canada‘s inaugural UNMATCHED: Gender Equity in Sports Conference and listened to a series of panels featuring inspiring and progressive women in sports, which included Canada‘s Minister of Defense, Olympic gold medal winning goalkeeper Stephanie Labbé, and tennis icon Billie Jean King. They even got their picture taken with her and shared some laughs, before watching Serena Williams play in the National Bank Open, in what was her final match on Canadian soil.    That all lead to a considerably more thoughtful and deep hearted series of conversations than you're used to hearing on our big midweek episode. Jimmy talked about his experiences as a modern day manager, wanting to prioritize the person over the player, and understanding why the practises that he and Craig experienced playing in England in the 1990s, largely driven by intimidation and fear, would not translate to today's game.    The boys also react to the MLS All-Stars beating the Liga MX All-Stars in the 2022 MLS All-Star game in Minnesota. Unsurprisingly, Dunny is a big fan of the format. Barcelona‘s financial troubles and the potential free agency of new signings Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessié have the crew scratching their heads, and Craig & Jimmy try to imagine what it would be like to be in that situation. Chelsea's potential double swoop of Frenkie de Jong and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is intriguing, and Craig admits he hates the transfer window.    The Premier League has a new home in Canada this season: FuboTV. Opening weekend of a brand new English Premier League season left Brendan Dunlop, Craig Forrest, Jimmy Brennan and James Sharman with so much to talk about, we literally delivered the longest weekend recap episode in show history. Cristiano Ronaldo had all the headlines before Manchester United's 2-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion, but CR7 couldn't steal the headlines once he came off the bench. Erik ten Hag's start at Old Trafford began with a punch to the gut, courtesy of BHAFC's Pascal Gross, who is addicted to scoring against Man Utd. Erling Haaland got off to a flying start as Man City ruined Craig Forrest's Sunday. Naturally our favourite goalkeeper had a lot to say about how David Moyes will have to manage goalkeepers Łukasz Fabiański and Alphonse Areola this season. Jimmy finds new ways to be clever with words, despite Nottingham Forest's disappointing start to life back in the Premier League.    Despite Darwin Núñez's dazzling start to life at Liverpool, Sharms is miserable and reveals a deep disdain for use of the traditional German character eszett, and the Spanish eñe. Dunny is deflated by Aston Villa's season opening loss to Bournemouth, though the rest of the crew back Steven Gerrard to get it right. Wonger is hilariously optimistic about Brentford's chances this season. The boys think that Bayern Munich have already won the Bundesliga after throttling Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt, on the same weekend Jonathan David lit up Ligue 1 with Lille and Lionel Messi scored a marvelous bicycle kick goal. And Lorenzo Insigne opened his MLS goal scoring account in dramatic fashion, as Toronto FC did something they hadn't done in over a year - win on the road.      Presenters: James Sharman, Craig Forrest, Jimmy Brennan, and Brendan Dunlop with Dan Wong Voice Over Talent: Jeff Cole This podcast has content that may use words and share tales that offend, please feel free to use your best discretion.  Parental discretion is advised.   Be advised this episode includes explicit language.

The former QPR, Manchester City and West Ham winger now works as a radio and TV pundit. Sinclair talks about working with Alan Brazil on TalkSPORT and covering his former clubs, and what it was like to party with Craig and DJ Mellow D, Danny Dichio, back in the 90s. Harry Redknapp's prioritization of a strong change room chemistry over tactics gets a few laughs, as does Sinclair's wish that Craig could ping balls down the pitch with the ease of Man City goalkeeper Ederson.    As much as Craig and Trevor want West Ham to challenge for a Top 4 place this season, Trevor admits it is again a two horse title race between Man City and Liverpool, and that Antonio Conte's Tottenham mount the next best challenge thanks to their summer business, adding Richardson to an attack that already includes “the two best forwards in the Premier League” in Harry Kane and Heung-min Son. Jimmy tries to bring up Nottingham Forest's acquisition of Jesse Lingard several times. Manchester United would be better off letting Cristiano Ronaldo leave this summer. And the Lionesses' triumph at the 2022 Women's Euros has Sinclair excited for the future of the women's game in England, though Sinclair explains that infrastructure and new pitches and facilities are as crucial to correcting the problem as changing the school curriculum.    Presenters: James Sharman, Craig Forrest, Jimmy Brennan, Brendan Dunlop and Dan Wong Voice Over Talent: Jeff Cole This podcast has content that may use words and share tales that offend, please feel free to use your best discretion.  Parental discretion is advised.
