Julia Fisher talks to Joseph Haddad - an Israeli Arab pastor living in Haifa in northern Israel. Joseph's parents were Lebanese and came to live in Israel which is where Joseph was born. But he has never forgotten his Lebanese heritage, so when in the year 2000 vast numbers of Lebanese refugees poured over the border into northern Israel, Joseph and his wife Ibtissam were there to help them. A church started and ever since that time, Joseph and Ibtissam have travelled the long journey from Haifa to Nahariya several times a week … I asked him to describe an average week. Our aim is to build bridges... To build bridges of understanding and support, in a spirit of reconciliation, between believers (both Jewish and Arab) in the Holy Land (Israel and the Palestinian Areas) and Christians worldwide. olivetreefund.org
