NXT was a mixed bag this week, but there was definitely some good stuff on the show. Fraxiom opened with a strong tag match, Mason Rook and Naraku had a very good number one contender's match, Kendal Grey scored a big win to earn an NXT Women's Title shot, and Zaria finally did what needed to be done by winning the NXT Women's North American Championship. That part? Very good. Very needed.But then you had the Mr. NXT Pageant nonsense, and that was exactly the kind of goofy stuff that drags a show down when it could have just been a simple angle or a fight. Jasper Troy and Dion Lennox was just kind of there, and the pageant skits were flat-out stupid.So overall, not a bad NXT, but definitely one of those shows where the good and the dumb were fighting for screen time.
