It also has a bevy of last-minute Pride anthems from the gay pride events of June. This year, Pride dragged on a week longer than usual due to the World Pride taking place in New York. Nevertheless, I'm always astounded at how many DJs wait until the last minute to drop their latest entries — especially since the biggest event kicks off in late May in L.A. It's neither here nor there but it would be helpful if these tracks were released sooner than not to reach a wider audience. Regardless, Party Favorz is thrilled to have access to these tracks as most of our Circuit Tribal House sets are pretty much Pride events in and of themselves. The classic reworks, the bigger-than-life DIVA vocals, songs of love, empowerment, and heartbreak are always mainstays in the gay community. No need to go over everything here because the artist roster speaks for itself. I'll be starting on something I've been wanting to work on for a while — which is a big vocal house set (also geared to our gay friends) who enjoy a more housed-up, disco-fueled Sunday afternoon set. There's not a lot that comes out these days but the type of music I'm talking about is starting to make a slow comeback when the remixes get served to DJs. I think you folks are gonna enjoy this one since we haven't had a good ole fashion T-Dance set in a very long time. I have to say that I'm pretty worn out and after this next set I'll be taking a week off from the site before Madonna's birthday month sets start rolling out. I'm way behind in that department so it remains to be seen if I'm gonna be able to pull off what I initially had planned. Never fear, whatever I end up doing — all you Queen of Pop freaks are gonna love it. That's all I got for now. I hope everyone stays hydrated and enjoys their weekend. Until the next time...ENJOY! With Peter's recent passing, I could think of no better way to honor him than to showcase his legacy.  You may ask yourself “why The Diva Series?” Frankly, With his much-publicized feud with Offer Nissim (he was right) to his falling out with the organizers of the White Party (he was wrong), the one thing I know with all certainty is that HE WAS THE ULTIMATE DIVA! Nevertheless, I'm not here to pass judgment because like most people that reach the upper echelons of their profession, they will always have their detractors.  Talk to the hand honey, cause the head ain't listening. The man is a legend and leaves behind a body of work that will continue to be emulated 30 years from now. Hot on the heels of my first ever mix, which will be made available on the podcast next month, comes the second one. The aim of the mix was to showcase two massive tracks which I wanted to share with other people: Narcotic Thrust mix of Depeched Mode's Suffer Well and Popof's Lost Through. Tracks before these two aim to warm up the listener with some deep house music. My own personal highlight here is the Elusive Remix of Matthew Adam's No More, Anymore! Depeche Mode's mix goes back a couple of years when Sven Vaeth used it to start his sets. People used to go nuts when listening to this. Popof's Lost Through is actually distributed in two parts, Part 1 and Part 2 but in this mix, I wanted to show both of them, so I ended up doing a little edit where I layered one on top of the other. After Popof, the mix starts winding down with Julian Jeweil Remix of Lange's Perihelion which adds a progressive touch to the mix, before ending with the Scratch Massive's rather spooky Silence track. I probably haven't mentioned much about my computer lately, so let me tell you what I've been up to.  As everyone knows, I suffered a significant loss in pictures, music and important documents last year before having the chance to back everything up.  Once I rectified that, I began purchasing parts each month for my computer.  By April, I broke the bank and went all out to fill in the missing pieces.  The only things I recycled were the two DVD drives and my monitor.  I had a friend come over and help me out and we put this brand new puppy together in a couple of hours.  He gave me an extra monitor (which I had been dying for) in exchange I gave him two motherboards, 4GB of memory (I had to purchase a different kind for my new CPU, 8 gigs to be exact), my old case, CPU, several keyboards, video card and my old power supply.  Anywho, I went ahead and upgraded my power supply to 850 watts this past weekend because the 450 wasn't cutting it with my new video card.  I got up early this morning and installed Windows 7 64bit and I have to tell you this thing ROCKS!  I now have a blazing fast computer that has benchmarked in the top 2% fastest computers in the nation and I am quite stoked.  Windows 7 was just the icing on the cake.  I've been up since 3:30 this morning to perform a clean install and then load all my software back on to the computer.  Needless to say, I am zonked. Regardless, I've got the fourth installment of the Chrome Edition on board for everyone.  I have to say I really like this mix.  From the opening tune by Chicco Secci and Robbie Rivera "Let's Stay Together" which is uplifting and simply marvelous, right down to the Hex produced power anthem by Gloria Gaynor "I Never Knew".  You get the massive Dirty Vegas "Days Go By" made infamous in the Mitsubishi car commercial, the big room "Safe From Harm" by Narcotic Thrust, the beautiful and underappreciated "The More I Love You" by Andrea Martin, the underground "Love Story" by Layo and Bushwaka! which took the mainstream by storm and the potty mouth Vicki Shepard in "I've Got A Feeling" which was canned by her label due to promo leaks that ended up all over the Internet.  What a vault of memories this is.  I could go on and on, but I'll just let these songs speak for themselves. So sit back and enjoy or throw your own little retro party.  I'll be back tomorrow with volume 5 and wrap it up on Saturday with the final edition.  Until then, you know what to do...enjoy!
