If you've ever asked, “How do I actually play Warhammer Fantasy Role Play?”—this episode is your crash course, chaos crash cart, and comedy club all rolled into one. Grab your dice, pack your herbs, and don't forget your gloves. Things are about to get weird in the woods. Thank you to our sponsor, DM Adamantine! If you're ready to play with an expert GM in a one-of-a-kind setting, check out Dungeon Master Adamantine at dungeonmasteradamantine.com or find him on StartPlaying for custom sessions in Greece or online! In this episode of the RPGBOT.Podcast, the crew dives headfirst into the brutal, baroque, and frequently blood-soaked world of Warhammer Fantasy Role Play (WFRP). If you're curious how to actually play this wonderfully grim system, this episode is your map through the muck. Starting from character creation and setting expectations, all the way to navigating the forest of chaos (literally), the group explores what makes WFRP so distinct: the constant tension between survival and corruption, competition and camaraderie, comedy and catastrophe. The party's in-character quest for the rare herb Bitterknot becomes the perfect showcase for WFRP's mechanics and tone. Along the way, they meet eccentric NPCs, battle chaos-touched creatures, and argue about gloves—a classic day in the Empire. Whether you're a grizzled veteran of the Old World or thinking about picking up the dice for the first time, this episode shows you how to embrace the grit, gallows humor, and genuine strategy of Warhammer Fantasy. Key Takeaways Setting & Tone Warhammer presents a grim, dangerous world filled with corruption, chaos, and questionable hygiene. Altdorf acts as a central hub for player activity and plot progression. Survival, suspicion, and dark humor are essential ingredients to the game's tone. Character & Story Characters come with detailed backstories that influence gameplay decisions. The party dynamic (rivals for a master's favor) fuels roleplaying opportunities and in-game tension. Motivations matter—success often depends on how well characters leverage their personal goals. Low resources and high stakes force creative problem-solving and resource management. The Quest for Bitterknot The search for the rare herb Bitterknot ties together exploration, negotiation, and danger. Players interact with memorable NPCs like the allergy-prone Old Marla and helpful friend Kruger. Preparation, like acquiring gloves and supplies, plays a huge role in staying alive. Exploration & Conflict The Blood Pine Woods are filled with beastmen, warp-tainted terrain, and the occasional dead horse. Exploration includes clue-finding (claw marks, glowing signs) and evasion through stealth. Highwaymen introduce social conflict, resolved through intimidation or diplomacy. Combat & Mechanics Initiative rolls set the pace; positioning and terrain influence the outcomes. Combat emphasizes both tactical planning and the chaos of dice-driven randomness. Environmental strategy can be key to survival. Warpstone introduces a risk-reward dilemma: magical power at the cost of corruption and mutation. Corruption & Consequences Corruption checks protect characters from warping into something... less than human. Warpstone may grant power, but repeated use can change characters in dramatic ways. Decisions in combat and exploration ripple through the story and character arcs. Humor & Group Dynamics Unexpected moments like daisy allergies and potion mishaps add levity to grim adventures. Player banter and team dynamics are essential to the fun and flavor of the game. Return to Altdorf provides a moment of reflection—and the kind of closure only WFRP can offer. Hi everyone! My guest on this episode of The Talk Music Podcast is John Corabi, lead vocalist of the powerhouse rock band The Dead Daisies, and former frontman for Mötley Crüe from 1992 to 1996.The current Daisies lineup is a who's who of rock legends: Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake/Dio), Michael Devin (Whitesnake), David Lowy (Mink/Red Phoenix), and Tommy Clufetos (Ozzy Osbourne/Black Sabbath). Along with John, they are one of the most electrifying live bands out there.Rooted in the spirit of '70s and early '80s rock, The Dead Daisies deliver a soulful, hard-hitting sound packed with bluesy riffs, soaring vocals, big choruses, and unforgettable hooks. With seven studio albums, a live record, a covers album, and a “Best Of” collection, they've shared the stage with legends like KISS, Guns N' Roses, Scorpions, Aerosmith, and Def Leppard. In this episode, John and I dive into their scorching, high-voltage new blues-rock album, "Lookin' for Trouble," recorded at the iconic Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. We talk about how the band brought their own edge and personality to classic blues tracks, and how a spontaneous late-night jam turned into one of their most soulful records yet.We also discuss their new 20-minute short film which traces the roots of the blues and its evolution into rock and roll— an intimate and cinematic look into the making of this great new blues tribute album. And we chat about the history of The Dead Daisies and why the chemistry of the band works so well after so many years. You'll hear clips from standout tracks like Crossroads, Boom Boom (check out the swagger-filled video of John walking down the streets in Lyon, France!), Going Down, Little Red Rooster, The Thrill Is Gone, Born Under a Bad Sign, and Black Betty. The band is currently tearing it up on tour in Europe, with UK dates up next. We wrap things up with a candid chat about John's rollercoaster ride during his time with the Crüe. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Ep 563 John Corabi is back with new Dead Daisies album and solo album finally in works!

John Corabi is a powerhouse rock vocalist and guitarist whose career has spanned more than four decades. Known for his gravelly voice, heartfelt lyrics, and gritty authenticity, Corabi has carved a unique niche in rock and metal history. He first gained attention in the late 1980s with The Scream, a hard rock band that blended bluesy swagger with heavy riffs. Their 1991 debut Let It Scream earned a cult following and showcased Corabi's range and charisma, even as the grunge movement was starting to dominate the airwaves. His biggest break came in 1994, when he was tapped to replace Vince Neil as the lead singer of Mötley Crüe. The resulting self-titled album, Mötley Crüe (1994), marked a radical departure from the band's glam metal roots. With Corabi on vocals and rhythm guitar, the album was darker, heavier, and more musically ambitious. Though it received critical praise and remains a fan favorite, it didn't achieve the commercial success Elektra Records had hoped for, and Corabi left the band in 1997 when Neil returned.Unfazed, Corabi continued to explore new musical paths. He played guitar for Ratt for several years and worked with various artists in projects that allowed him to flex his creative muscles. One notable collaboration was with Union, the band he formed with former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick. Union released two studio albums that blended classic rock with modern tones, again proving Corabi's versatility and songwriting chops. In the 2010s, Corabi joined The Dead Daisies, a revolving supergroup of rock veterans. With Corabi on vocals, the band released multiple albums, including Revolución (2015) and Burn It Down (2018), which received acclaim for their retro-hard rock sound and powerful performances. His work with the Daisies helped reintroduce him to a new generation of fans, thanks to extensive touring and a polished yet passionate delivery.Corabi is also known for his solo work, where he strips things down to an acoustic, story-driven format. His live shows often include personal anecdotes, behind-the-scenes stories from his time in Mötley Crüe and beyond, and intimate versions of songs spanning his entire career. In 2022, he released John Corabi: Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, an autobiography that pulls no punches in telling his story in his own words.John Corabi is keeping the blues alive and well in 2025, with not one but two major projects lighting up the rock world. First, he's fronting The Dead Daisies on their upcoming blues-drenched album Lookin' For Trouble, and second, he's signed a new solo record deal, marking a fresh chapter in his storied careerSet for release on May 30, 2025, Lookin' For Trouble is The Dead Daisies' first full-length blues album. Born from late-night jam sessions during the recording of their rock album Light 'Em Up, the band—featuring Corabi, Doug Aldrich, David Lowy, Michael Devin, and drummer Sarah Tomek—found themselves immersed in the soulful legacy of the blues. Recording at the iconic FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, they reimagined classics like Robert Johnson's “Crossroads,” John Lee Hooker's “Boom Boom,” and B.B. King's “The Thrill Is Gone” with their signature hard rock flairYou can follow him on social media or check out his latest news at johncorabi.com.

They analyse the ultimate fantasy dates organised by the women, including Jacqui and Ryan's cringeworthy shopping trip and Morena's (possibly?) breakthrough life-painting session.Watch this full ep on our Youtube!Follow and DM us on Instagram @doingthemafs or email daisygrantproductions@gmail.comClick here to sign up to our PATREON!

This week's guest is a natural-born storyteller with a gift for amplifying voices in the hospitality world. As the president and founder of H2 Public Relations, Heidi Hageman has spent nearly two decades shaping the public image of top restaurants and industry professionals in Chicago and on the West Coast, with a client list that includes a number of Joiners alums including Daisies, One Off Hospitality, and even Scofflaw. She joins us in the studio to share how a serendipitous move to San Diego—and an unexpected post-college pivot—launched her into the world of PR. We get into the do's and don'ts of restaurant publicity, navigating crisis communications, her cross-industry collaborations with the likes of Wilco and the Blackhawks, and so much more.
