The Washington Commanders are officially in the offseason and there's already a lot to discuss. We start with the All-22 Review against the Philadelphia Eagles. What went well? More importantly, what didn't? How did Jayden Daniels play? What about the rest of the team? We then shift our focus to the coaching staff, with 3 of them getting requests for interviews. Brian Johnson, passing game coordinator and assistant head coach, interviewed with the Houston Texans to potentially become their offensive coordinator to link up with QB CJ Stroud. Tavita Pritchard, quarterbacks coach, interviewed with the Jacksonville Jaguars to become their offensive coordinator to link up with QB Trevor Lawrence. David Blough, assistant quarterbacks coach, interviewed with the New York Jets to become their quarterbacks coach. In other news, Commanders majority owner Josh Harris took an entire page ad out in the Washington Post to thank fans for their commitment to the team this past season. He also went on to thank Jayden Daniels, Bobby Wagner, Jeremy Reaves, Terry McLaurin and Zach Ertz for being captains in the postseason and for their leadership work and efforts throughout the season. RFK Stadium continues to be the likely new home for the Commanders, and the name change comes up yet again. We begin to look at the offseason and positions to address. What position groups should the Commanders look to address this offseason? What specific players do you want? The notable free agents from our team this past season include Bobby Wagner, Zach Ertz, Tress Way, Noah Igbinoghene, Jeremy Chinn, Dante Fowler, and more. Who all would you like to bring back? The roster cutdown day ended without a deal featuring the Miami Dolphins and Colts running back Jonathan Taylor. The Dolphins decided that Taylor was a bit too expensive — the same is true for a "mystery team" that was reportedly in the mix. Without Taylor, running back Chris Brooks was one of three undrafted free agents to make the team's 53-man roster. Robbie Chosen and Myles Gaskin were cut from the franchise while former first-round pick Noah Igbinoghene was traded to the Dallas Cowboys. It was a busy Tuesday but we have you covered! The Dolphin corner joins the show to talk about his game winner and dealing with the pressures of being a first round pick
In hour 2 we are joined by Noah Igbinoghene and Larry Blustein, and we discuss TNF and the Dolphins Lions
In hour 3, even if it wasn't a perfect game for him- Crowder gives Noah Igbinoghene his flowers for making the best play of his young career so far. After, listening to Mike McDaniel's Monday press conference following a Dolphins SNF win.
Tua is back! Yay! Miami Wins! Yay? The team came out firing on all cylinders against The Steelers on Sunday Night, but ended up ending flat and hanging on to a victory with the most unlikely of heroes...NOAH IGBINOGHENE?!?!?!?! Sam discusses the game that was and gives you his raw thoughts on the Phinstant Reaction installment of the show.
In Hour Tua we hear from Head Coach Mike McDaniel as he gives us an update on Safety Brandon Jones as he joins our long list of injured players. McDaniel then brutally struggles with the English language as he praises Noah Igbinoghene. In the next segment we get Leroy's horrifying story of removing a rod that was lodged into his hand. We wrap the hour with Seth Levit joining the show to discuss the Dolphins latest victory, the Return of Tua and what the upcoming schedule holds for the Fins.
In a game where the offense looked like it was going to put up record numbers, it was the defense that dominated the show, forcing 3 Kenny Pickett interceptions, including one on the final drive of the game by none other than Noah Igbinoghene.Miami Dolphins vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Game RecapThe offense came out firing on all cylinders, but slowly sputtered away into non-existence.A lot is being made of Tua throwing his body into defenders after all the concussion stuff he went through.Three really bad throws by Tua resulted in 3 dropped interceptions, luck was on our side. While Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Raheem Mostert continued to be the stars of the offense, it was good to see Trent Sherfield and Mike Gesicki getting more involved.Chase Edmonds needs to be left on the bench… 2 drive-killing drops in his limited playing time.Andrew Van Ginkel was back and made his presence known.Jaelan Phillips finally had the all-star performance we've been looking for.Justin Bethel, Clayton Fejedelem, and Noah Igbinoghene all performed well after being forced into action due to injuries.Eric Rowe is a liability out there; I cringe watching him play.Congrats to rookies Ben Stille (2 tkls, 0.5 stuffs) and Verone McKinley III (1 tkl) who both got their first regular season action this week!It wasn't pretty, but at the end of the day, it's a win for our Miami Dolphins and puts us at 4-3 for the season. Next week we face off with the 1-5 Detroit Lions who are expecting to see their superstar duo of D'Andre Swift and Amon-Ra St. Brown return, which could result in a bit of a shootout.Support the showThank you so much for listening, #FinsUp baby! As crazy as it sounds for Noah Igbinoghene to be winning awards this season... the game clinching interception by Noah earned him our player of the game nominee.
So many storylines headed into SNF with the return of Tua and Brian Flores but it was Noah Igbinoghene who stole the show at the very end. Reaction from Tobin and Solana after a chaotic night of football at Hard Rock Stadium including a controversial decision by Mike McDaniel to go for it on 4th and short instead of going up two-scores and Tua does the opposite of avoiding hits. Next we get a little UFC talk as Tobin reflects on this weekend's UFC 280, where friend of the show Suga Sean O'Malley came out victorious. We theorize if Khabib may have a better version of himself in Islam Makhachev. Next we discuss the Tobin's getting duped by fake Pink Pumpkins and Tobin comes to the defense of various Zoo animals. We then put ourselves through more pain as we bring the Canes back up. We close the Hour out with "Alright! Oh No!".
In Hour 1 of the program we take a strange approach to opening the show by engaging in an argument concerning Leroy's choice and ability to clap his injured hands. Next we get into last night's primetime Sunday Night Game between the Dolphins and Steelers. Leroy learns what number Noah Igbinoghene wears, we discuss Coach McDaniel's decision to go for it on 4th down and Tua's play in his return from concussion. Leroy finally comes around on the idea of Raheem Mostert as the premier running back for the Fins now that the guys are Rats off a Ship on Chase Edmonds. Next we hear from Coach McDaniel following last nights contest and the guys apologize to previously written off Noah Igbinoghene. In the final segment we face our depression and aggression head on as we discuss the underwhelmingly lackluster performance from the Miami Hurricanes this season thus far.
After missing Monday's show, Jake and Josh are officially back to discuss Miami's loss to the Vikings and the latest news ahead of Sunday's battle against the Steelers. Being Wednesday, Marek Brave returns to the show to talk about Jaylen Waddle's struggles, Mike Gesicki's two touchdown game, and some flashes from Noah Igbinoghene. An absolute example of class, professionalism and overall an amazing human being, Jason will be dearly missed. We seamlessly transition to Tom Brady's return to the podium as he's back in rare form with his lies and deceit! We close out the Hour praising the Dolphins for their slaughtering of the Eagles, even though some may attempt to discredit the victory as the Eagles sat their starters. This leads to a conversation on the performance of the up and down Noah Igbinoghene.
In this hour, Joe and Zach take a look at the Dolphins loss to the Raiders on Saturday. They discuss TE Mike Gesecki struggling and Noah Igbinoghene struggles, should the Fins carry 3 QBs and what else they need to see from the team before training camp ends. What if Tua Tagovailoa has a good year, yet the Miami Dolphins still end with the #1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and Trevor Lawrence out of Clemson is coming off another monster season? Today on the NFL Reckless Speculation podcast we're talking about the 2020 season for the Miami Dolphins and how they would handle this situation. Tom Ernisse from DolphinsTalk.com joins TC to talk about a team that has the worst defense and the worst offensive line in 2019 could turn the page and end up in the playoffs this year. Tom - and you can follow him on the Twitter right here - believes that much more likely than the Dolphins landing the #1 overall pick in 2021. Brian Flores is a much better head coach than Adam Gase, and the Miami Dolphins and set to enjoy the benefits of the work that was put in in 2019 with a much improved 2020 season. With Xavien Howard and Bryon Jones attempting to remind Dolphins fans of Patrick Surtain and Sam Madison, plus with the addition of Noah Igbinoghene via the draft, the secondary in Miami is tight. Meanwhile on offense... Yikes. The good news is that 'Fitzmagic' is back in case Tua isn't ready to go by Week 1. Though it seems Ryan FItzgerald won't be needed, as the news on Tagovailoa is nothing but positive. The worrisome part is whether the skill players around Tua are good enough. And then there's that awful offensive line from 2019. However, with the additions of PLAYER NAME at center, plus draft picks Austin Jackson (who may need more seasoning) and Robert Hunt, the line will be improved for the Miami Dolphins in 2020. Finally, the Tom and TC talk about who's the last great skill position player the Dolphins had on the roster, and the last great quarterback to suit up in Miami. Damn, it's been a tough 30 years. We know Jeffrey Okudah and CJ Henderson are the top two corners in the draft, but who else will be drafted in Round 1? Kristian Fulton, Trevon Diggs, AJ Terrell, Jeff Gladney, Noah Igbinoghene all have that potential. At Safety, Antoine Winfield, Jr. is the most versatile safety, but is he worthy of a 1st Round pick? Winfield, Jr., Xavier McKinney, Jeremy Chinn, Grant Delpit and Kyle Dugger should all hear their names called early in the draft.
