Tobin & Leroy talk about the dynamic of the Fins offense. Tyreek, who has been dealing with an injury during training camp and off the field issues hasn't had the continuity and time with Hill like has with Waddle. Will this be a factor in the season?
In this third hour, The guys talk about the Dolphins offense entering this 2025v season. Tyreek has had a tough year with the injuries, conflict with the team and his divorce. Tobin still isn't losing faith in him as of matter of act he thinks WR Jaylen Waddle needs to show more this season that Tyreek. We play our favorite Thursday game Goosie or No Goosie! Dolphins Edition.
In this third hour, More on NFL cut down day as more names are being released and clearing waivers. With The Fins having some holes in the secondary and offensive line depth issues who will they sing on to the roster or int he practice squad. who we hear about JFig mechanical skills as she and Leroy share their changing about changing car batteries. You know when Frog Boy is hosting there will be games and we play the game that keeps you young What Are the Kids saying where he gives us the slang that the kids ae saying and we guess the definition of it is.
It is hour 3 and the cuts continue to come in, as the Dolphins narrow down the list for their 53 man roster! Tobin is still very upset with Paul Finebaum's comments about the Canes, and admits he might just be his most hated analyst! A commenter stirs up a discussion about whether or not Tua and Tyreek have beef and if it will affect Hill's season. And of course Tobin and Leroy are on opposite sides of the argument! Tobin breaks the news to the gang that eurobasket starts on Wednesday, they are shocked to find out all the games he has made them listen to him go on and on were just friendlies! He of course denies any deceitfulness! We dip into the mixed bag as we hear from around the Miami Dolphins, Tua, Ollie Gordab, and Mike McDaniel!
It's Hour Tua, and we hear from the man himself after yesterday's practice saying that not having Tyreek practicing gives him the opportunity to get comfortable with other guys, this sparks a debate between Tobin and Leroy, will this affect Tyreek's season? Jaxon Dart was caught feeding Jameis Winston his infamous W on the sideline yesterday, this gets the gan curious in where Russell Wilson fits into the the QB room as the other three backups seem to be the best of friends. Along with who is going to get cut once preseason is over! We try to Tickle Leroy's Fancy as we do every Friday, but the segments get overshadowed by Tobin missing a layup joke of Leroys!
We kick off this Friday with some car talk as Tobin and Leroy are flabbergasted to learn Brittney has no idea how to put air in her tires. The crew looks ahead to the Dolphins' preseason matchup against the Jaguars, and Skylar Thompson once again delivers in preseason — could the Steelers keep him? We hear from Ollie Gordon at practice, and with Malik Beasley cleared of his prop betting allegations, Tobin is begging to know when Terry Rozier will get the same treatment. In Hour Tua, the man himself shares how Tyreek Hill's absence in practice has helped him build chemistry with other receivers — sparking a heated debate between Tobin and Leroy on how this could impact Tyreek's season. Meanwhile, Jaxon Dart was spotted feeding Jameis Winston a classic "W" on the sideline, which sends the gang spiraling into QB room dynamics: where does Russell Wilson even fit in with the Giants' crew? And who's getting cut once camp ends? We try to tickle Leroy's fancy as we do every Friday — but the moment's hijacked when Tobin completely whiffs on a perfect layup joke from Leroy. Tobin hits full JOVIC MODE after the Heat forward's dominant performance overseas, outshining Luka Dončić and leaving Tobin desperate for Leroy and Brittney to give the man his flowers. We also hear from Aaron Brewer who calls out the Bears' “fake physicality” at joint practice, and then it's over to Jerry Jones as contract talks with Micah Parsons continue to stir the pot. In the final hour, Shedeur Sanders clears the air on the so-called “beef” with Dillon Gabriel, and the crew goes off on the Cracker Barrel rebrand — seriously, who asked for that?! We wrap with one last Dolphins training camp update before game day, then bring the fire with our favorite Friday closer: You're Dead to Me. Tobin takes aim at Heat fans who keep disrespecting Jovic, Leroy has strong words for college football, and Brittney must get in her weekly F1 rant.
In hour two, Crowder says reps in preseason for Dolphins starters is useless. Jevon Holland got PAID and now isn't “hearting” Hoch's post on Instagram. Solana tried to put Jimmy down with his cousin but it didn't go great. Plus, an update on Hoch's son following his major knee surgery yesterday.
Excitement out of Dolphins practice with the official return of Darren Waller. Should Tua, Tyreek and the Dolphins starters get reps this Saturday? Crowder emphatically argues against it. Solana comes under fire several times today including Zach Gelb calling him out for his order at Joe's Stone Crab and a ridiculous statement regarding the peg game at Cracker Barrel.
In the third of hour of the show, Tobin & Leroy talk about Marlins who beat the Cardinals last night behind a great performance from Sandy Alcantara. We hear sound from Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa about playing in Saturday's pre-season finale. During Tua's comments Leroy found it interesting that he mentioned being on the field with Jaylen Waddle and not Tyreek Hill. Could It be Something or Nothing? We play our favorite Thursday game show Goosies or No Go Goosies
Should Tua, Tyreek & rest of Dolphins starters play Saturday? Hoch believes they should but Crowder argues passionately against the benefit of preseason.
On todays show, Tobin & Leroy recap the Marlins 8-3 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. Marlins haven't been the same team after sweeping the Yankees in the beginning the month. They talk about the Miami Dolphins who play their final pre=seon game thsi Saturday vs the Jacksonville Jaguars. Will we see any starters play in the final pre-season game? Why was Matthew Judon signed of there aren't any injury concerns with the front 7? What si the relationship between Tua and Tyreek? Can Mike McDaniel answer a simple question with a simple answer? They talk Miami heat basketball will the Heat give guard Tyler Herro the contract extension before the deadline. All that and more silly sauce on the Tobin & Leroy show
Tobin & Leroy discuss Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa comments during the Fins vs Lions pre-season game. A simple question was answered too honestly which left more questions to be asked about the relationship between the star QB and star WR.
In this final hour Tobin &Leroy discuss the comments Tua Tagovailoa made during the 2nd pre-season game vs the Lions with CBS 4 Mike Cugno about his relationship with WR Tyreek Hill. Tobin 7 Leroy fell that Tua is too honest at times which leads him into more turmoil. They take a look at he Notre Dame vs University O Miami game as the Fighting Irish named their starting QB for the season. They talk PFL fighter Josh Silveira who will be fighting this Thursday at Hard Rock Casino.
GDP Script/ Top Stories for August 16th Publish Date: August 16th PRE-ROLL: MONSTER JAM From the BG AD Group Studio Welcome to the Gwinnett Daily Post Podcast. Today is Saturday, August 16th and Happy Birthday to Madonna I’m Peyton Spurlock and here are your top stories presented by Gwinnett KIA Mall of Georgia. Archer student donating to needy gets big surprise from Amazon Gwinnett school tax rate going down, but property owners will still owe more Author Leigh Dunlap to discuss debut book 'Bless Your Heart' at Duluth library Plus, the Stripers report with pitcher Dane Dunning All of this and more is coming up on the Gwinnett Daily Post podcast, and if you are looking for community news, we encourage you to listen daily and subscribe! Break 1: 07.14.22 KIA MOG STORY 1: Archer student donating to needy gets big surprise from Amazon Sometimes, it’s the smallest things that spark the biggest change. Nehemiah Hamilton, a senior at Archer High, used to dream of coding the next billion-dollar app. But after diving into community programs like Gwinnett’s Youth Commission and interning for Dacula’s mayor, his focus shifted. He didn’t just want to make millions—he wanted to help millions. So, he started “The Little Things,” a fundraiser to buy essentials low-income families often go without: detergent, toiletries, underwear, umbrellas. Especially umbrellas. Nehemiah set a modest goal—$500. Two weeks later, he’d raised over $2,000. Then, Amazon stepped in. After Gwinnett Chairwoman Nicole Love-Hendrickson shared his story on LinkedIn, Amazon’s Georgia community affairs lead, Terreta Rodgers, showed up with a truck. Literally. 3,600 items. Triple his donation. Nehemiah’s not stopping. He’s thinking about Morehouse, public service, maybe even running for office someday. But for now? He’s extending his fundraiser and calling on others to step up. STORY 2: Gwinnett school tax rate going down, but property owners will still owe more The Gwinnett County Board of Education voted Wednesday to lower the property tax rate by nearly half a mill—sounds like good news, right? Not so fast. Even with the drop to 20.15 mills, many property owners will still see higher tax bills, thanks to rising property values. Board Vice Chair Tarece Johnson-Morgan wasn’t thrilled, casting the lone “no” vote. Meanwhile, residents like Kay Vickers didn’t hold back. She slammed the board for firing two superintendents in four years (with pricey buyouts) and ignoring overcrowding at schools like Grayson High. The board’s decision followed three public hearings, but the tension? Far from over. STORY 3: Author Leigh Dunlap to discuss debut book 'Bless Your Heart' at Duluth library Mark your calendars: On Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 6:30 p.m., the Duluth Branch of the Gwinnett County Public Library will host Leigh Dunlap, author of the debut novel Bless Your Heart. The event, moderated by Iranian-American writer Samira Shakib-Bregeth, promises a lively discussion about family, reinvention, and the quirks of Southern hospitality—or lack thereof. Dunlap, best known for penning A Cinderella Story (yes, the one with Hilary Duff), brings her screenwriting chops to the page. She splits her time between South Carolina and South Kensington and has also written The Standoff and 16-Love. For details, visit gwinnettpl.org. We’ll be right back Break 2: Ingles Markets 7 STRIPERS INTERVIEW Break 3: MONSTER JAM STORY 6: Three family members guilty of pandemic fraud A man from Pelham, Georgia, has been found guilty of wire fraud in a pandemic relief scam that roped in his family. Tyreek Brown, 28, now faces up to 30 years in prison, five years of supervised release, and a $1 million fine. Sentencing? TBD. His co-conspirators, Sherronica Jackson, 38, and Alan Brown, 52, both pleaded guilty and will be sentenced Nov. 12. Here’s the deal: Jackson snagged a $20,207 PPP loan in 2021, claiming a fake $97,000 income. She then helped Alan and Tyreek secure fraudulent loans for businesses that didn’t exist. Tyreek even sent her $3,000 after cashing in. STORY 7: Georgia unemployment rate down to 3.4% Georgia’s unemployment rate dipped to 3.4% last month, down just a tick from June’s 3.5%, according to the state Department of Labor. For context? That’s well below the national rate of 4.2%. But here’s the twist: while unemployment dropped, the state actually lost 500 jobs, leaving the total just shy of 5 million. Gains in health care (+2,800), manufacturing (+2,700), and construction (+2,100) couldn’t offset losses in food services (-4,500) and transportation (-1,400). Meanwhile, Georgia’s labor force grew slightly, with 732 more people joining in July.
