**The Drive with TKras Podcast Description** The Tampa Bay Rays have been one of baseball's hottest teams, but what comes next could determine whether they're true contenders in the American League. On this episode of *The Drive with TKras*, TKras is joined by Tampa Bay Times Rays beat writer Marc Topkin to break down the Rays' recent surge, what's fueling their success, and whether this level of play is sustainable over the long haul. The two dive into the biggest storylines surrounding the club, from the pitching staff and lineup production to the players who have stepped up during the team's impressive run. Looking ahead, TKras and Topkin discuss the importance of Tampa Bay's upcoming stretch of games and what the Rays need to accomplish over their next few series to solidify their position in the playoff race. Is maintaining momentum enough, or do the Rays need to make a statement against quality opponents? And with the trade deadline approaching, what areas of the roster still need attention? Plus, Topkin shares insight from inside the clubhouse, discusses the biggest challenges facing the Rays down the stretch, and explains what he'll be watching most closely in the weeks ahead. If you're a Rays fan looking for an inside look at where this team stands and where it's headed, you won't want to miss this conversation.
There is a question that keeps coming up in cider, small business, and independent media: Is this sustainable? In this episode, Ria sits down with Adrian Luna, known as the Hard Cider Guy, for a conversation that goes well beyond cider. What starts as a discussion about content creation quickly turns into something deeper. Two practitioners, each with their own discipline, circling around the same hard truth: if you do not value your work, no one else will. This is not about rejecting collaboration or generosity. It is about understanding the long-term cost of working for free, and what it takes to build something that lasts. From orchard life to media strategy, from martial arts philosophy to the realities of burnout, this episode asks what it really means to take your role seriously, whether you are making cider or telling its story. Stewart Brand has spent a lifetime thinking about tools, systems, civilization, and the long future. Best known as the creator of the Whole Earth Catalog and co-founder of the Long Now Foundation, Brand joins Michael Shermer to discuss his new book, Maintenance of Everything, a sweeping look at what it takes to keep bodies, machines, buildings, institutions, planets, and civilizations from falling apart. The conversation ranges from the hidden work of maintenance to electric vehicles, bicycles, nuclear power, AI, and even human populations. Brand makes the case that life itself is maintenance: everything alive must keep itself going, and everything humans build must be repaired, improved, updated, and cared for. Stewart Brand is the cofounder and president of The Long Now Foundation and cofounder of Global Business Network, the Hackers Conference, and the WELL. He created and edited the National Book Award-winning Whole Earth Catalog from 1968 to 1998. He was the subject of the documentary We Are As Gods (2020). He graduated from Stanford with a degree in biology and served as an infantry officer in the US Army. His new book is Maintenance of Everything.

In today's episode Gina discusses feeling stuck with anxiety and how to keep this feeling from creating a self-fulfilling feedback loop. Remember, expending effort trying to avoid the anxiety will not help. Understanding that anxiety is not an enemy to be feared but may be accepted as a companion will help loosen the anxiety's grip on our minds and bodies and let the adverse bodily sensations and mental states pass more quickly. Listen in for a guide on how to allow this process to happen! Stillpoint Fridays is my once-a-week Friday note — a slower, more personal reflection that's different from what I share on the podcast. We start with a crucial acknowledgment: if your anxiety feels like it's lingering despite your efforts to manage it, this doesn't signify failure. In fact, it is often your nervous system attempting to protect you, illustrating the paradox where the intense effort to eliminate anxiety can sometimes make it feel more prominent.I explore the significant role of attention in this dynamic. When we focus on our anxiety to work through it, we inadvertently give it more power. This creates a feedback loop where the more we try to dispel these feelings, the more they manifest, leading to greater anxiety. I explain how anticipatory fear can exacerbate the situation—by worrying about experiencing uncomfortable sensations, we only fuel the anxiety. In this episode, I stress the importance of understanding our reactions and how the body learns to associate certain sensations with danger, prompting hyper-vigilance that keeps us trapped in an anxious state. The discussion shifts to the topic of avoidance, a natural response to discomfort that can provide short-term relief but ultimately leads to long-term challenges. I articulate how avoiding uncomfortable situations or sensations can narrow our tolerance and lead to an amplified perception of anxiety. This avoidance creates a vicious cycle where the anxiety not only persists but grows in intensity over time. I emphasize that while it's essential to find immediate safety, this reliance on avoidance can constrict our emotional range and overall ability to engage fully in life.#anxiety #mentalhealth #anxietyrecovery #nervoussystem #mindfulness #anxietyrelief #mentalwellness #stressrelief #panicattacks #healing #selfcare #anxietysupport #mentalhealthmatters #grounding #innerpeace #meditation #wellness #mentalhealthawareness #psychology #selflove #stressmanagement #calm #holistichealth #overcominganxiety #mindset #growth #resilience #healthanxiety #panicdisorder #selfregulation #vagusnerve #somatichealing #windowoftolerance #presentmoment #peaceofmind #emotionalhealth #mentalhealthtips #healingjourney #anxietyproblems #breathe #mindfulliving #therapy #wellnessjourney #copingskills #mentalstrength #anxietycoach #stresstips #wellbeing #mindful #anxietywarrior #ancietycoachespodcast #ACP #GinaRyanSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Most people think they need to buy something to get organized.More baskets. More containers. More storage. But what if that's the very thing keeping you stuck? In this episode, I'm sharing why buying more doesn't fix clutter and what actually does. Because the truth is, organization doesn't start with products. It starts with decisions. And once you understand that, everything changes.Have you ever looked around your home and thought, “Once I have the right systems, I'll finally feel on top of things?”Or found yourself putting off tidying because it all just feels like too much? You're not alone. And you're not doing anything wrong. The problem isn't a lack of storage. It's that your home is holding more than it can realistically support.Inside this episode, I walk you through a simpler way to approach decluttering and organizing. One that removes the pressure, reduces decision fatigue, and helps you finally get started. We talk about: • Why buying organizing products often delays real progress • The key shift that makes home organization actually stick • Simple ways to use what you already have around you • How to reduce clutter without overcomplicating your space • Why this approach works so well for ADHD and overcoming overwhelmThis is about creating systems that work in real life. Not just ones that look good on Instagram.Because when your home is set up to support you, everything feels easier.Tidying becomes quicker.Decisions feel lighter. And your family benefits from a calmer, more intentional space. If you're ready to declutter without spending money and finally make progress with your home organization, this episode will show you where to start. And the best part? You already have everything you need. Thanks for listening!
