Send us Fan MailVIDEO PODCAST HEREThis concludes our series examining whether the Church was restored in 1830. In this final installment, we review additional revelations that did not come to pass, along with various challenges that arose under the leadership of Joseph Smith as prophet. Our hope throughout this series is that viewers will thoughtfully consider whether the church organization established by Joseph Smith and his associates was truly divine in origin or the product of human effort. We have sought to clearly distinguish between the restored church structure and the simple, foundational gospel taught in the Book of Mormon.Upon closer examination, the Book of Mormon stands apart in both spirit and substance—particularly in its emphasis on simplicity—from many of the doctrines and practices that were later introduced through Joseph Smith's revelations. We invite all who watch to prayerfully ponder these matters. We encourage you to approach the Book of Mormon with fresh eyes, asking God to help you separate longstanding church traditions from its core message: the simple call to repentance made possible by the Savior's atoning sacrifice on the cross. The Book of Mormon is unequivocal in its teaching that only those who repent are covered by the Atonement of Jesus Christ and receive everlasting life in His kingdom. In this conversation, we speak with Dr. Michael Barett on his new book "Old Testament Introduction." Dr. Michael Barrett blends scholarly rigor with practical applications, calling his approach “a new book from an old-school perspective.” His Old Testament Introduction will become an essential tool for students, pastors, and Bible teachers who seek exegetical precision and impactful insights. Forged by a seasoned evangelical scholar with decades in the classroom and the pulpit, Dr. Barrett's work stands on this bedrock conviction: Scripture is God's inspired Word. From that foundation, readers are equipped to tackle critical theories while understanding the timeless relevance of the Old Testament for Christians today. Send us Fan MailVIDEO PODCASTIn our previous episode, we explored the simple, straightforward church that Jesus Christ established in the Book of Mormon, along with its clear and plain doctrine: repent, be baptized, receive the Holy Ghost, become as a little child, and endure to the end.Today, we turn our attention to 1830, when Joseph Smith declared himself a prophet, apostle, elder, and the sole spokesman for God. Although he was instructed to record the doctrines he received, the Book of Mormon records that Jesus Himself commanded His followers to write down His doctrine and warned them not to add to it.In this episode, we examine the significant additions that were later introduced, and we ask a serious question: Was Joseph Smith truly a prophet? And would a true prophet set aside or override the previous teachings of Jesus Christ? We'll share direct quotes from early church meetings that declared older revelations and doctrines outdated, claiming that new instructions were needed for a new time. Yet we maintain that God does not change, and neither does His word.By the end of this episode, we hope you'll clearly see the striking differences between the simple church described in the Book of Mormon and the modern church established by Joseph Smith. Send us Fan MailVIDEO PODCASTJesus clearly defined His church in the Book of Mormon: repent, believe in His name, be baptized, receive the Holy Ghost, and endure to the end. The members of the church understood they were taking on them the name of Christ, not joining an "organization"No talk of a Holy City. No complex organization. No temples. No priesthood hierarchy or offices. No baptism for the dead.So why did Joseph Smith, just TWO WEEKS after translating the Book of Mormon, start revealing a completely different system and start recording a new book of Doctrine? — claiming God told him to build temples, organize a new priesthood, baptize for the dead, and establish Zion? Send us Fan MailVideo Podcast hereThis is the second video in a series where we look at one of the major components of the idea that the Church of Jesus Christ was restored in 1830. Although no where in the history of the canon of scripture do we see someone setting themselves up as the all powerful only spokesman to hear from heaven and to give heaven's words to the people, we will see that this is exactly what Joseph Smith did. In today's episode we focus on two common talking points that say Joseph Smith was indeed a prophet and we will look at what the Book of Mormon actually says about this. Send us Fan MailVIDEO PODCAST HEREIn 1830 a most wonderful thing happened. A book of scripture was made available showing us a very plain and straightforward teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This scripture was translated one time by the gift and power of God. A record of the tribe of Joseph here in the Americas. It speaks throughout of Jesus Christ, our God who would come and take on flesh and blood and die for us. Unfortunately man used this beautiful gift and buried it under a church which has lead people away from this plain doctrine of Christ by adding many things to it and missing the plain message of necessary repentance to receive the atoning blood of Christ. Really the only message that is given through out the Book of Mormon told over inver in many ways. We were told the "Church" was restored in 1830. Unfortunately that "church" has caused many to stumble. We are looking at this claim of restoration to discuss "is this true?" Was the church restored? Or was it something else much worse, the work of men and not God? Restored Gospel - Scripture Search and Study Resources Contact us:restoredgospelpodcast@gmail.comMusic by Michael Barrett

If not, why would the church ignore the focus of what our Savior stated as the Greatest Commandment? Today, Liberal House leader Steven MacKinnon said his government is assessing what it would look like to change that: 'I think there's a generally accepted principle that committees reflect the composition of Parliament.' Conservative ethics critic Michael Barrett and Liberal whip Mark Gerretsen weigh in. Send us Fan MailVIDEO PODCAST POWERPOINT NOTES What gives us purpose and meaning when we wake up in the morning, or when we lay our head down on our pillow at night? Do we feel like we are just going through the motions, hanging out, waiting for something to happen? Perhaps just waiting to die? Or do we have hope? Do we center our minds or meditate on the beautiful promise and blessing the Lord has waiting for us? Not in some far off distant future but today. Here. Now! He wants to dwell in us. This has possibly become a watered down, christian phrase that isn't really considered or paid attention to on a deeper level. But consider.....the creator of the universe living within you and setting you apart for His holy purposes. How can one be bored with life, or give in to the monotony of the day to day activities surrounded by spiritual Babylon if the King of the Universe is residing with in us. Not only are we told of a new heaven and new earth as part of a future existence but he are told He wants to give us a new heart. One that is filled with His holy spirit. This is sanctification. This is the purpose of the gospel and this is something that has been covered up and buried under the gentile teaching of Joseph Smith and the early church. The message restored in plainness in the Book of Mormon was substituted with another message and it has left many wondering, what went wrong. It has left leaders asking "what is the purpose of our existence". Perhaps the time is here to repent and look at the Book of Mormon message preserved through the years to come forth at this time. By following its teachings that came from God Himself, we have a glorious promise that He will transform our heart and restore us to Him. As a nation, as a people, and on a very personal level, regardless of what other evils are going on in the world today. Our hope and purpose is in looking forward to not only a new heaven and new earth but to a New Heart where God dwells within us. Send us Fan MailVIDEO PODCASTIn a recent letter sent to the restoration branches by a group of Elders who belong to a loosely organized body to bring ministry, there was some honest observations made. One being, that we are headed into obscurity. We discuss the probable reasons why this has happened and the prophecies that explain what is ahead for those who repent or do not repent. Whether a person is from from the house of Israel or a gentile, the message is the same and lineage doesn't matter when it comes to our relationship with God. The message is to repent. Not surface level of repentance, but aligning one's heart and submitting one's will to his very creator and giver of life. A deep, all encompassing repentance, is what God calls for. Below was communication sent to the church at large:Dear Saints, There comes a time in every organization in which certain questions must be asked. The CRE has been a fixture in the Restoration Movement for 31 years now. There has been much good done for the sake of the Kingdom through the efforts of those who have participated throughout the years. While we recognize that the CRE is not “The Church,” it has been fulfilling the missionary role of the Church quite well.It Is not difficult to look back in recent years and see the declining participation in the Elders Conference and other activities sponsored by the CRE. It has become increasingly difficult to fill the quorums so that they can operate effectively. We could spend hours, or even days postulating on the reason behind this decline. Perhaps life has become busier than in times past? Perhaps it seems to some that the CRE has drifted away from the purpose for which it was formed? Whatever the reason may be, the fact remains that, much like the Restoration Branches themselves, if we continue on our current path, we will continue to dwindle into obscurity. While the coordinating council has reaffirmed that the conference should remain true to its stated purpose, there may be those who disagree. There are those who would stand on the side of discontinuing the CRE. We could spend unbounded hours expressing our opinions on this topic. There is one thing to remember, however, that is basic to our beliefs. We believe in a God who speaks today. Our opinions, though fruitful for banter, debate, and discussion, are not comparable to God's will revealed. We would like to invite all who read this to spend time in fasting and prayer in preparation for the 2026 conference. Pray for the ministry of those who have been tasked with bringing classes, services, or sermons. Pray for the Spirit of God to rest upon all who attend. Pray for peace and harmony in our discussions. Pray that God's voice will be heard in answer to our petitions. Let us come together in an attitude of worship and reverence and ask God if He would that the CRE continue, and what His purpose would be. This will be a topic of discussion in our quorum meetings at conference. May God bless each of you in your daily preparations and ministries. May He be glorified in all things. Sincerely,Jay Havener - Coordinating Council Chairman, Jeremy Stephenson-Conference Chaiman. Below is the current mission statement of the CRE: The CRE exists to:Organize the coming together of Melchisedec Priesthood, as well as the Aaronic Priesthood and members for:Spiritual preparation and to unify our efforts on behalf of the work to which we are called.Much needed fellowship and fraternity to prepare us to defend and preserve the faith.Identify and seek divi Restored Gospel - Scripture Search and Study Resources Contact us:restoredgospelpodcast@gmail.comMusic by Michael Barrett

It is a debate that has gone on seemingly from the beginning of recorded history. Early church councils convened only several 100 hears after Jesus came to discuss his very nature. When Jesus was called "good master" he stated "why do you call me good, there is none good but God". Later when the disciple asks to see the Father Jesus says "if you have seen me you have seen the Father". Is this at odds with the first statement? Who is Jesus praying to in the garden? Is there one God? Three Gods? One complicated God that is interacted with in three forms? Different religions and schools of thought exist. From Jesus being on a journey to become a Father himself such as a belief in mormonism or the idea that God exists in different forms but only one at a time. The Book of Mormon sheds some great clarity in this question of who is God and specifically who is Jesus. He is the very Eternal Father. We believe it adds additional light and clarity to the Jesus recorded in the Bible. Part 2 of 2. What does the Book of Mormon actually say about the Nature of God and who Jesus is. At times, God's justice does not seem to align with our idea of fairness. This may make it hard to exercise faith Him who may not seem "fair" according to our understanding. We take a look at the word and what it says about God's justice, and what happens when men try and supplant that justice with their idea of "fairness". Send us a textVideo PodcastBefore the Book of Mormon went to press, John Whitmar copied down the "doctrine of Christ" contained in it. It was this doctrine that was taught at the very beginning. However, after the Book of Mormon was printed it was all but put away. There are no sermons, no records of teachings, classes, expounding on the doctrine and the content contained in the Book of Mormon available in early church history. It is seldom mentioned. Instead a very different church emerged under the leadership of Joseph Smith who conveniently called himself as a prophet through revelation. (which came from him). The topics that allured early saints to the movement were an incorrect concept of Zion, a living prophet. a tale of a city right around the corner with the imminent return of Jesus christ, an authority restored to the earth in the form of priesthood who had keys to mysteries and secret things from heaven not available to the common members. A new church took shape with doctrines and teachings far removed from the simple gospel contained in the Book of Mormon The gentiles continue to stumble in favor of the teachings of a man - Joseph Smith - instead of the gospel contained in the Book of Mormon that had just become available- preserved for thousands of years. This continues to this day. Which begs the Question.....will the Gentiles ever really embrace the Book of Mormon gospel of Jesus Christ? Some may have been asked these questions. You may have asked them yourself. But what is the real meaning of these phrases? What does it really mean "to accept Jesus as your personal savior"? There is a deeper understanding beyond many common Christian teachings - It also ties in to discovering what real Grace is. It is imperative we understand this not only for our salvation one day in heaven but.....to truly live now. To be ALIVE. Not just to merely exist one day after another undtil our heart stops beating. True joy, peace, freedom, and most importantly Love can be experienced today, here, now. But it does not come cheaply or easily. This episode looks at what the word truly says about grace, accepting Jesus, and salvation. Men stumble because of false teachings and misunderstandings, false traditions passed down from others. It is most important we constantly return to the word of God to see what He says. As has become our great joy, we look at clarification and additional understanding that comes from the word in the Book of Mormon as well as the bible. We even have a prayer we say while laying hands on a person after the water baptism often referred to as "the confirmation" confirming one a member of "the church". The Book of Mormon adds depth and understanding to the act of baptism. It connects it on a very deep yet simple level to repentance. Baptism is often looked at as an act that "saves you" and allows you entrance into the Kingdom of God. There are various views among different christian organizations as to what baptism actually is. Is it necessary or not? Is it an afterthought, a choice, a commandment? Does it save you? The additional clarity that comes from the Book of Mormon leaves no room for misunderstanding. Baptism doesn't save you, repentance does, by allowing the blood of CHRIST to wash you clean. Baptism is the first fruit of that repentance. http://www.restoredgospel.com/PODCASTLINKS/TheDeeperMeaningofBaptism.pdf Restored Gospel - Scripture Search and Study Resources Contact us:restoredgospelpodcast@gmail.comMusic by Michael Barrett

Send us a textVIDEO PODCAST HEREOver five years ago we did a series called "The Final Prophecy". Corey taught this over a number of weeks? What is The Final Prophecy? The Story of God returning to His creation. Even Jesus Christ. And His great working with mankind through the ages to prepare us for that return where we can be brought back to His presence, changed by the blood of Himself, even Jesus, to stand before His holiness clean and prepared for eternity with Him. Nothing in the flesh will ever satisfy the great need we have as created beings to return and be in the presence of our Father, Creator, and Savior. Join us on this journey updated with additional understandings and clarity from the teachings in the Book of Mormon . Episode one: why is there a phrase "the One God Theory?" How did it come to be? Why is it even a thing? POWERPOINT HEREhttp://www.restoredgospel.com/PODCAST...Final prophesy version 1 PDF http://www.restoredgospel.com/TheFina... Send us a textVIDEO PODCAST HERE Part 4 in our series on Book of Mormon proofs. The huge amount and layers of Hebrew Poetry found in the Book of Mormon was unknown in the American Frontier in 1830's. This further proves the divine nature of the Book of Mormon and the miracle that it is. Preserved for thousands of years to come forth at this time for its purpose of testifying that Jesus Christ is the God of Israel. How blessed we are to have this today. Send us a textVideo Podcast HerePart 3 in our series on Book of Mormon proofs. There were no horses during Book of Mormon times. No barely, no copper, no steel, etc. Arguments against the Book of Mormon have been around since the ink was barely dry. We look at some of these arguments and see how when science catches up, the Book of Mormon is vindicated time and again on issues no one knew at the time, going against science and popular understandings of the day. To say Joseph Smith and friends created this book under their own power , fails to explain how the book continues to be right on every occasion and vindicated as time goes on. It takes more faith to believe the Book of Mormon is a fraud made up by 1830 men then to believe it's supernatural divine origins and translation process.
