Detroit survives the Giants in overtime, but with another blown lead by New York and more troubling signs that the Lions are slipping out of the contender tier. Minnesota hits rock bottom as JJ McCarthy’s regression turns into a full-blown crisis, and the GM who chose him over proven veterans should be feeling the heat. Plus — the Bears rally behind the best performance of Caleb Williams’ young career, the Steelers stumble with Mason Rudolph, and Sheduer Sanders wins his first NFL start as the Browns try to evaluate both rookie QBs down the stretch. In College Football, Oregon moves one win away from the CFP after shutting down USC’s explosive offense, while the Trojans once again come up light under Lincoln Riley.
