The Libertarian Institute's Keith Knight joins me to revisit some of the tall tales we learned in school (or in the newspapers). Learn a Language: My Columbia University French course was a complete waste of time -- they just barked French words at me, refusing to teach any grammar, because that was the fashion at the time. Rocket Languages does both -- you learn how to understand the spoken word through dialogues, and then (if you want) you can check out the grammar lessons that run alongside. But the dialogues don't depend on those lessons, so you can learn just by driving in your car. The Woods household owns and loves three of their courses. Check them out at .

With the 53rd Ken Kraft Midlands set to kick off on December 29, Episode 232 of the Short Time Wrestling Podcast visits with Denny McCabe, one of the original champions from the first event back in 1963. McCabe won what was then known as the Western Suburban YMCA Open in La Grange, Ill., at 190 pounds. One of four champions from Southern Illinois University (Carbondale), it ended up being the highlight of his collegiate career as injuries kept him from postseason competition. McCabe, who still remains active in the wrestling discussions to this day as "Denny" on TheMat.com forums, goes back in time to talk about the Chicagoland wrestling scene back then and how cool it was to have a holiday event so close for home. McCabe also breaks down his international career in the Armed Forces and working with his college teammate, World and Olympic Team member Larry Kristoff. Coach Santoro is in his eighth year as the head coach at Lehigh. He explains his journey to Lehigh, which was "home" despite wrestling collegiately at Pittsburgh. Santoro explains the tradition of Lehigh wrestling and what this year's team has to do to be in a position to bring home a team trophy come March.
