When we met ten months ago, Ryan Robinson was living a life many would envy, with a thriving online business earning $50,000 per month, which allowed him to travel the world and work from anywhere he wanted. However, he realised that something was missing and that he wasn't happy. Sensing that he wouldn't find true happiness and fulfilment in material success alone, he embarked on a journey of self-discovery, unraveling societal expectations and reconnecting with his body, heart, and spirit. His intention was to figure out who the real Ryan is, away from the business and public persona he has created. In today's episode you will hear about his remarkable journey over the last year, embracing authenticity, discovering and understanding his inner critic and experiencing what he calls “pure love” for the first time in his adult life. Though he still pursues the same work, it is filled with creativity and purpose as never before. His intention from now on is to be a mirror to as many people as possible, showing them, that true fulfilment and happiness can only be found through turning away from the external and journeying inwards. I hope this story inspires you on your own path of self-discovery and personal transformation. If you want to learn more about this work, feel free to reach out and I'm happy to be of service. --------------------------------------- I hope you enjoy this episode! Ryan Robinson from Intezer to discuss his team's work on "Phishing Campaign Targets Chinese Nuclear Energy Industry." The research team discovered activity targeting the nuclear energy industry in China. Researchers attributed the activity to Bitter APT, a South Asian APT that is known to target the energy, manufacturing and government sectors, mainly in Pakistan, China, Bangladesh, and Saudi Arabia. The article states "We identified seven emails pretending to be from the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan, being sent to recipients in the nuclear energy industry in China. In some emails, people and entities in academia are also targeted, also related to nuclear energy." By luring recipients in, invites them to join conferences on subjects that are relevant to them, they are then able to social engineer the victims. Moriah Bailey - "The Ocean Life" from the 2022 album i tried words on Keeled Scales. "i was hoping on the ocean life to pull through /turns out i'll have to say goodbye real soon." On her sophomore full-length, i tried words, harpist/vocalist Moriah Bailey reflects on the end of a relationship, and the definitions and expectations of "femininity" that can play into not only romantic relationships, but friendships, jobs, or family. Not only is this reflected in her words, but also on the expanded sound she presents on the new album. After recording the voice and harp parts in her former rental home in Tucson, AZ, she recruited Sarah Reid (violin), Ryan Robinson (percussion), and Ricky Tutaan (guitar) to contribute to those tracks, allowing them to follow their own "musical intuition and insight." The beautifully woven results provide a backdrop for her thoughtful lyrics, ruminating on the struggle of dualities: "yes/no, future/past, darkness/light, giving/taking, masculinity/femininity, wants/needs." Today's Song of the Day is accompanied by a video directed by Lauren Reese. Bailey shares on her Instagram, "When we initially talked about collaborating on this, I let her listen to the whole album and choose a song that she was excited about. The video was filmed at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. Elmer Fajardo and [Holly Pierce] assisted Lauren in shooting the video and providing me moral support in being in front of the camera. Ha. The result is a really compelling illustration of themes in the song that plays with shots of light, reflections, shadows, movement, and water."
