We all have those voices in our head that caution us or scare us off completely from achieving our goals. What if I told you those voices were not yours? They are shaped by other people and their perceptions of life. This episode is one of those where I want to beat everyone over the head with a big blow up mallet and say, listen to this!! So many times we think that because we aren’t perfect or living up to some ideal we have created in our life that we are broken. That could not be further from the truth. We are human and we all have issues. In this episode we lay the groundwork for how to get out of the cycle of thinking like we are a broken person rather than just a person. On this episode I chat with Tracey Lewis Stoeckel from Tracey Teaches. We discuss how to create courses that give your clients wins and keep them coming back for more along with learning styles and how you might be able to use this information with your kiddos. Tracey Lewis Stoeckel is an online course consultant and coach. She is a single Mom to two kids (now teens) plus a couple of rescue dogs and a menagerie of other critters. She has a love for sarcasm, marketing, cheese, and her hometown baseball team. After years as a serial entrepreneur, and while working as a college instructor, Tracey earned her master’s degree in education. It was around that time that her loves for business and education merged as she started creating online learning for college students and then later for a hospital-based ambulance service. After 20 plus years of product-based businesses, Tracey launched her first service-based business with Tracey Teaches when her need to be present as a parent conflicted with the corporate culture she worked in. When the best boss she ever had announced her early retirement, Tracey made the scary move to pursue course-building for small businesses full-time instead of crying in her office on a daily basis. A decision she questions only occasionally. Tracey shares her education and business knowledge on her Tracey Teaches Facebook page as well as on her website at www.traceyteaches.biz. In her “free time” Tracey is working on a series of online courses to help single moms get started in a business of their own, and she plans to also launch a new podcast in late 2019. She also enjoys gardening, volleyball, and live music. Find Tracey at: www.traceyteaches.biz www.facebook.com/traceyteaches www.instagram.com/traceylewisstoeckel
Habits…we all have them. Some are better for us than others. The good news is we can change our habits. This week I chat with Tim C. Star, public speaker and writer. We discuss how to make decisions, how we put up our own roadblocks and creating the reality that we want. Tim C. Star is host of two podcasts; The Universe Between Your Ears and the brand new Personal Growth Podcast. He is also a professional speaker and the author of 2 books in the Law of Attraction arena: My Name is Prosperity and Where’s My Stuff? Mr. Star was born and raised in the blue collar environment of Chicago’s South Side. His home roots provided little expectation of rising above the daily grind where so many spend their lives. This background, plus the analytical eye of a natural skeptic, mixed with a lifetime of recreational consumption of a wide range of “new thought” ideas, quantum mechanics and personal experience, resulted in a personal life perspective that demands practicality, but is also open to future opportunities. When he lost a long-term job at age 54, Tim didn’t work again for 2 years. He also didn’t get depressed, or begin to question his worth in the world. He didn’t ask himself, ‘If I’m not (that career label), then what AM I?’ When he became aware that he wasn’t experiencing what the “experts” said should happen, he wondered why. The answer lay in the ideas he’d been exposed to since he was young. They had helped him to gain a different perspective on the world, and on what had happened to him. Today, he shares these ideas and more with the rest of the world. Find Tim at: www.timcstar.com

This week I chat with Mary Cook at This Indulgent life. We know that we want to have a great family life while we are still supporting our family. How do we spend intentional time with our family, give them experiences and be respectful parents? Mary and I cover all this in this show. Mary is the mom of one wild little boy and the owner of This Indulgent Life where she coaches fellow moms on how to use gentle parenting and experiences together to find the joy in motherhood and in life. As an expat teacher and mom in Hong Kong she had what many dreamed of, a helper at home to give one-on-one care to her son and do housework, but it wasn’t enough. Something was missing. She was tired every day from long hours away and she would come home not wanting to do anything but watch tv. She felt guilty and felt she was wasting not only her own life but the little time she had with her son. But playing with a toddler didn’t come naturally. She had to find her own way to make life and parenting enjoyable again and discovered that experiences together not only fulfilled her adventurous spirit but also brought back the joy in being a mom. Now she’s on a mission to help other moms rid themselves of the guilt of feeling like they’re not enough and inspiring families to have more adventures together, big and small, to live a more indulgent life. I believe that our minds are our the most powerful ‘muscle’ that we have. If we want to make changes our mind needs to be the engine driving us forward.
