In this deeply personal episode, I share my heart with you after an emotional release—a moment of raw vulnerability, self-forgiveness, and acceptance. Life can feel heavy, chaotic, and even overwhelming at times, but in those moments, hope and faith become our guiding lights. I talk about the power of letting go, embracing imperfection, and allowing ourselves to feel without shame. We explore:

In this episode, I reflect on abundance, freedom, and the deep realization that life is a gift given to us for us. So often, we tie abundance to financial success or external validation, but what if true abundance is found in appreciating what we already have? What if the path to joy and fulfillment is simply about being present, choosing what feels good in the moment, and recognizing that our lives are ours to live—not for others, but for ourselves?I share my thoughts on climbing the metaphorical staircase of life one step at a time, the power of shifting our energy around daily tasks (like paying bills), and the importance of reclaiming our autonomy, even within marriage and parenthood. Most importantly, I explore the idea that the more we love our own lives, the more we have to give to others.Key Takeaways:

I talk about learning to work in sprints instead of marathons, the importance of boundaries, and how parenting looks different for everyone. There's power in choosing what feels right for you, honoring your emotions, and allowing yourself to dream of more.I also touch on the beauty of resetting and realigning, embracing both gratitude and growth, and believing that everything we desire is already on its way to us. This episode is your permission slip to trust yourself, set boundaries, and hold space for the version of you that is still learning, growing, and thriving in your own way.Key Takeaways:

This episode is a reminder to trust that our desires are already on their way to us and that letting go is sometimes the biggest lesson in moving forward.Key Takeaways:

Why do we limit ourselves with the idea that making money has to be hard? What if we could align with what we love and still receive financial abundance?Through this conversation, I challenge the traditional notion of “working hard” and explore how true passion often makes effort feel like play. I also touch on the concept of money as energy and the value we assign to our own talents. Let's stop and start talking about sad things Why do we always want to hide sad stories and appear happy? Why are emotional people so stereotyped? Were we always meant to be cheerful? What if we are simply reserved people by nature? Is sadness related to being reserved and shy all the time? Would you share your sad stories every now and then? Let's stop thinking that life is unicorns and rainbows and start considering the reality that there are sad people out there (and this may include us) but that's okay. The human spectrum of emotions is so broad and we tend to go back and forth in this spectrum to find that balance, that homeostasis. It's not that we need sadness in order to experience happiness. But that the sadness has its role of expressing how we truly feel in that moment. And there's no need to cover it up with a happy attitude. But we do get to feel it so we can accept and adapt and so we can release it. Release the heaviness. And realize that feeling was supposed to move through us to teach us something, to open us up. To heal us. Check out Content Creator Work. 69: Confidence is silent

Play Episode Listen Later Nov 16, 2021 8:09

Let's stop and start considering confidence. Is it innate? Were we born with or without it? Is it necessary in life? What I have learned is that confidence is not for other people. The deepest root of confidence is belief and trust in yourself. Not to please others nor to impress them, but so you can set yourself free from the notion that you are limited by other people's opinions of you. You are not limited by how other people perceive you. You are only limited by thoughts and feelings you hold about how you trust yourself to do scary things. And therefore for me the biggest factor behind confidence is courage. Courage to be you despite what others may think. Courage to fulfill your own potential despite how you grew up. Courage to face the future despite the anxiety of not knowing what it holds. Confidence is a tool that isn't always necessarily used to relate to others (although that is useful and can be meaningful too). It is a life tool for you so you can be free. So you can create a life that fulfills the unlimited potential you have. Confidence is taking the leap in your own life. Check out Content Creator Work. Preparation brings you fifty percent closer to your goals. I personally need this reminder because I'm the type who tends to do things on the spot, including content creation. Preparation is key to confidence because showing up unprepared just won't serve you. However, when you show up prepared, even just mentally, it's half the battle. Now all you need to do is either deliver on what you prepared or ditch it altogether and do your thing. Either way, you've prepared yourself in advance. Now I'm not here for perfection and preparing until the cow's come home, as they say. I'm here for imperfect actions and circumstances and showing up anyway. Preparing is only one part of the puzzle and a part that can potentially boost your confidence but it is not the end all be all. Your intentions and your message are always what's important. And when you hone in on that and on your story, you start to create a connection between you and the task or the people before you. You begin to work with the courage that we've talked about previously. And you share with more purpose and passion. Some will say that is confidence. I call it preparation, intention, and message. It is my goal to help those of us who are longing to push past the boundaries of traditional, cultural, fixed thinking. It's not because I simply feel like changing the systems that set the foundations for this world but because I want to focus on the individual, the human being, the people behind the systems. How do we respond to the little things that make up the stresses during our day? how do we set boundaries when we can't even speak clearly about what we want? How can we start to shift the way we think about ourselves and the various things that make up our lives like money and family and relationships and even spirituality (or lack thereof)? There comes a point when we can't blame the system and everything else that is external anymore and begin to look at and within ourselves. I discuss more on the podcast.

The first thing you could do to get back again is to forgive yourself. By forgiving yourself, you learn. By being kind to yourself, you heal. Sometimes, it’s easier to just go-go-go when pressure is looming before you and that’s fine, too. Take time to reflect, however. Give yourself that space you need to think and feel and be in the present, knowing that it is all you have. Worrying and thinking about the future does not serve you anymore. Doing what you can today is your gift to your future self. 46: How to gain real confidence as a content creator

Hint: it's not just about how you look. There are lots of content out there on the Internet already about all the ways you can be confident. You can dress the part. You can wear makeup and look pretty. You can work hard or act as if (you know, fake-it-til-you-make-it mentality, which is one of my favorite things to do, btw). But there's only ONE thing I know for sure that brings me real confidence: it is knowing that I've done and continue to do something about my dreams and goals. That I pursued something--a dream--that only I could see. We beat ourselves up so much but it's only because we compare our first day of school as a freshman to someone else's senior year in college. It just doesn't add up that way. Comparing yourself to others will never end up well, even if you think you're better. There will always be someone bigger, smarter, prettier, kinder, whatever-er. But if you compare yourself to who you were in the past and if you're thankful for where you are now? Almost a hundred and one percent guarantee that you will be much happier with your own life. 44: Finding patience. Patience, where are you?

Feelings are what they are but they are not great leaders. They are great indicators but they shouldn't be the reason why you do something (good or otherwise). The word reason itself relates to the mind, not emotions or feelings. Give yourself a reason why you feel something and why there's a need to shout or yell. But also remember to be kind to yourself when you make mistakes. Beating yourself up doesn't help but learning and NOT repeating the same mistake is exactly how we can solve problems.
