How wonderful! Yet, to err is (very) human. No one is consistent 100% of the time (no matter what they try to show you through their curated social media feeds). So cut yourself some slack. Just do your best, each and every day. And rather than trying to transform your life too quickly and setting yourself up to fail, grow in increments—understanding that daily micro-goals that get done eventually turn into deep lifetime habits. If these insights speak to you and you're willing to do a little work on the ideas, tools, and habits I'll happily teach you inside my new world-class digital training program, then I'd love to help you here.FOLLOW ROBIN SHARMA:InstagramFacebookTwitterYouTube

Health Goals and Micro-Action Steps: Using the example of improving health, Pascale demonstrates how micro-goals like reorganizing food shopping or consulting a dietician create a clear, actionable path to achieve overall well-being. The key is to break down every aspect of the goal into small, achievable steps. Creative Goals: Self-Publishing with Micro-Tasks: In a more creative example, Pascale walks listeners through the process of self-publishing a book, emphasizing the importance of micro-tasks such as drafting an outline or scheduling daily writing time. These small steps make the larger goal of completing a book seem attainable. The practice of showing up consistently with clear, daily action is what differentiates successful goal achievers from those who get stuck in procrastination. Conclusion: To conclude, Pascale leaves her listeners with a final message of encouragement: you can achieve extraordinary things, one clear and consistent action at a time. A warm welcome to episode 363 of “The Everyday Life Balance Show.” I'm your host, Pascale Gibon, and as always, I am delighted to connect with you on this beautiful journey of self-growth and personal mastery. Together, we continue to focus on goal achievement because, believe it or not, we've entered the last semester of the year. Can you feel that gentle shift, that quiet yet powerful reminder that the year is winding down? Maybe you sense the buzz of the end-of-year rush already. Don't worry, you're exactly where you need to be. In episode 362, we explored seven productivity tips that help you create a heart-centred routine for achieving your goals with clarity, flow, and ease. These principles are designed not just to help you be productive but to ensure you honour your energy and well-being throughout the process. Because what is productivity if it's not in alignment with our hearts and souls? Let me briefly remind you of those seven productivity principles before we move forward: 1. Set Daily Intentions: Focus on how you want to feel and prioritize the most meaningful tasks. 2. Plan Your Day: Start each day with a roadmap that gives clarity and direction. 3. Batch Similar Tasks: Group similar activities together to avoid energy-draining multitasking. 4. Prioritize Rest and Breaks: Incorporate scheduled breaks to maintain energy and stay refreshed. 5. Create an Energizing Morning Routine: Begin your day in a way that lights up your soul. 6. Use Time Blocks for Focused Work: Dedicate uninterrupted blocks of time to dive deeply into tasks. 7. Reflect and Adjust Regularly: it matters to continuously fine-tune your routine to stay aligned with your evolving goals. If you haven't yet had the chance to listen to episode 362, I encourage you to do so. It's the perfect complement to today's episode. Now, beautiful soul, let's dive into this episode, where you'll learn one key secret to successful goal achievement. It is especially for you if you've ever felt overwhelmed or unsure about how to move forward with your goals. Do you often think about significant goals repeatedly and feel unsure where to begin? Maybe the idea of that big goal feels like a mountain - so tall, distant, and overwhelming. If that sounds familiar, take a deep breath. It's okay. This feeling is normal, and you are not alone. Here's the secret: one transformative way to overcome overwhelm is to break your goal down into micro-goals. What are Micro-Goals? Micro-goals are small, actionable steps that move you closer to your bigger goal, one step at a time. By shifting your focus from the intimidating ‘big picture' to these bite-sized steps, you regain your power to take action. Each micro-goal builds momentum, and that momentum is what leads to real progress. Let's illustrate this with an example. Imagine your goal is to improve your health. Ask yourself: Do you need to lose weight? Do you need to consult a dietician to craft a nutrition plan that suits you? Do you need to hire a personal trainer for support and accountability? Do you need to join a gym to be consistent in your fitness journey? Do you need to reorganize your food shopping to reflect healthier choices? Do you need to carve out time each day for specific exercises, no matter how small? Each of these questions reflects a micro-goal, clear, specific, actionable steps contributing to the larger goal of improved health. Here's another example: improving your finances. Perhaps you could increase your income by negotiating a raise or starting a side business. Do you need to create a savings plan? Maybe save 20% of your income each month? Do you need to build an emergency fund equivalent to three months' salary? Do you need to trim unnecessary expenses, such as subscriptions or memberships you no longer use? Do you need to review and refine your monthly budget for better clarity and control? Each micro-goal here is a small step that makes your larger financial goal feel less overwhelming. Lastly, let's consider a creative goal, like self-publishing a book. You could ask: Do you need to dedicate time to research before you start writing? What additional resources or tools will you need to support your writing process? What does your book outline look like? Have you decided on the title and subtitle? Who will design the cover and do the editing? How much time will you commit daily: 25 minutes, an hour, or more to the writing process? What time of day will you be most productive for this deep, creative work? Do you see how your big goal becomes more manageable when it's broken down? Each micro-goal represents a small, actionable task that moves you closer, step by step, to your dream. The Power of Commitment Now, let's discuss a key companion to action to achieve goals: commitment. You will experience little progress if your heart isn't fully engaged in accomplishing your goal. Real progress comes when you commit fully to your goal and align your actions with that commitment. One of the most important aspects of commitment is identifying your “WHY.” Your “WHY” is the deeper reason that fuels your goal. It's the purpose behind your action, the emotional anchor that drives you forward even when the path gets tough. When you're clear about your “WHY,” your commitment deepens, and your journey feels less like a chore and more like a calling. For example, let's imagine a father who starts a side business. His "WHY" is crystal clear: to improve his family's quality of life, provide stability, and create a better future for his children. This purpose gives him the drive to push through challenges and stay focused. You become unstoppable when you uncover a deep and meaningful “WHY.” If you need help identifying your “WHY,” I invite you to listen to "Episode 331: 7 Levels Deep – Unveiling The Heart Of Your Goals." In that episode, I guide you through a powerful process to explore the core of your motivation so that you can connect more profoundly with what matters most to you. Moving Forward: One Step at a Time Instead of a long and overwhelming to-do list, start with micro-goals. Focus on just one small step at a time. Breaking down objectives into manageable tasks increases your daily action, keeps you motivated, and makes the journey towards your goal more enjoyable. Remember that consistent and clear daily actions are common sense but not common practice. What sets the most successful goal achievers apart is their willingness to stay the course and show up for themselves every day, even when it's hard. You, too, can cultivate this practice with a clear plan of action, diligence, consistency, and a strong will. Until next time, beautiful soul, I'm sending you lots of love and light. Keep moving forward productively and with purpose. You can accomplish extraordinary things one small, clear, and consistent action at a time.

The number one way to build self confidence, is to follow through on the commitments you make to yourself. The thing is, we generally make BIG commitments, like: I'm going to start this workout program and not miss a day, its 60 minutes a day for 60 days. I'm doing my diet for real this time. No more sugar, carbs, junk food, alcohol, etc. I am going to build this side hustle into something great so that I can leave my full time job Etc. Etc. But, then, when things get hard, because it is too much pressure or too much of a departure from your normal life, you give up. And, when you give up consistently over time, you hemorrhage trust with yourself. You learn that you can't count on you. You learn that you are ok with disappointing yourself, as long as you're not disappointing others. In todays episode I walk you through how to start building that trust back… with micro goals. Things that don't require a TON from you, but require just enough to build that mind management and stay committed to your goal. Things that, as you do them, you learn you actually CAN do hard things, just not all at once. Join me as I share how you can set micro goals to build your self confidence, and set yourself up for that massive goal you have on your vision board. And don't forget, I'm still running the beta test for my membership that is launching in the new year, and I would LOVE to have you join us! You will get access to the Intentional Living course that I just wrapped up, as well as weekly live coaching calls. In today's episode, we're going to talk about a powerful technique for enhancing your success rates. Instead of focusing solely on big and intimidating goals, we're going to shift our attention to smaller, achievable milestones - what we call micro goals. These micro goals are like stepping stones that bring us one step closer to our ultimate objectives. By breaking down our larger goals into a series of mini achievements, we can make daunting tasks feel more manageable and definitely within our reach.I share practical examples of how you can redefine your approach to goals - whether you're training for a marathon or writing a novel - and methods about how you can establish micro goals that will help you achieve substantial progress. Lastly I discuss the significance of not just aiming for end goals, but digging deeper to identify your purpose goals. By understanding the 'why' behind your objectives, you can inject greater clarity, purpose, and growth into your path towards success.Mentioned in the episode:Joyful Productivity, George KaoGoogle and Notion Sprint planning templatesOther Helpful Links:Join Coffee PerksMy Favorite ToolsFree Productivity Power Pack10-Day Operations ChallengeWebsiteInstagram (@mirandamerten)Do You Need More Structured Help In Your Business?Subscribe to Coffee Perks where you'll get Weekly tips, hot finds, and actionable articles and podcast episodes to help you automate your business and reduce tech overwhelm with purposeful productivity. Most of you are already aware of my fascination with the military (the origins if which I'm still not really sure about but which I've stopped questioning because we also all know that weird things will make you yay, so just roll with them because you're already far better off than those who haven't found their yay yet). So, you won't be surprised how much I enjoyed this week's two episodes but I promise the military connection was a timing coincidence! If you haven't listened yet, our #yaysofourlives guest Tom Howell, Director of Field Operations for Disaster Relief Australia, a partner of our partner Mitsubishi( so part of the yayborhood). Tom started out as an army combat paramedic doing some fascinating work in Afghanistan, then later worked in the jungles of Papua New Guinea before becoming a full-time firefighter which he does alongside his work with DRA. Today, we're joined by two fellow veterans and legendary brothers, Ben and Dan Pronk, who along with their close friend Tim Curtis just published (and already sold out) their first brilliant book, The Resilience Shield. All three were elite soldiers in the SAS which is already impressive enough but later went on to complete their MBAs launching successful post-military careers AND the brothers now fondly refer to themselves as two thirds of an author setting today's warm, self-deprecating tone. I already gush about Resilience Shield enough in this episode, but whether you're interested in the military or not, it is a transformative handbook for our crazy times. Aiming to help us build a shield of resilience against the undeniable uncertainty and unfairness of the world, high adrenaline military anecdotes are weaved seamlessly in among dense philosophy, science and research from around the world about timely themes like fulfilment, loss and rebuilding of identity, trauma, modern information overload and goal setting. No size 12 font storytelling, Resilience Shield is packed full of a methodology built over three stellar careers to date but with endearing relatable language like one of my favourite chapters, But what about my dickhead boss? I'm pretty much just rehashing what we talk about now, so I'll let the boys tell you more themselves. I truly enjoyed this one so much and hope you do too.
