Wendy Thomas, CEO of Secureworks, joins Channelnomics's Changing Channels host Larry Walsh to discuss how security services are instrumental in helping businesses keep up with the security arms race. Security is an arms race. With each advancement in technology, hackers find ways of one-upping the defenders of a business's digital frontiers. Security breaches always have consequences. In the past, a compromise could mean losing access to files or being blocked from mission-critical applications, both of which can lead to lost revenue. Today, though, in the increasingly digitalized world, the consequences of security breaches are increasing in the way of losses and costs – including putting national security at risk and human life in danger. Innovation is bringing more resources and benefits to the world. This technical innovation, though, is creating more risk. The market doesn't have enough security professionals to staff the end-to-end needs of businesses and individuals. Businesses struggle to acquire the technology and support required to protect their digital assets adequately. Evolution, it seems, has a downside. A potential solution to the security conundrum is managed security services. Through the aggregation of technology and human-based expertise, managed security service providers (MSSPs) provide customers with access to leading technology and resources that cost-effectively scale. A leader in providing and supporting MSSPs is Secureworks, which is making securing human progress a cornerstone of its mission. Wendy Thomas, CEO and President of Secureworks, joins Channelnomics' Changing Channels host Larry Walsh to discuss the evolving security needs of businesses, how managed security can scale to meet those evolving needs, and the role partners play in the delivery of security services. First, Josh Guesman, Eric Vieira, Wendy Thomas, and Larry Morgan attempted to entertain their first-ever Live Show audience with a 100 of their closest friends at Taps Brewery in Tustin. And then, the next night Josh and Eric were back at it for the launch of “Night Navy” – the Galaxy’s second kit launch party! After one 101-minute podcast and another 6-minute video, Josh is back to discuss all that is happening with the Galaxy as they head into their final week of the 2019 preseason. And to help him do that, he’s joined by journalist extraordinaire, John Rojas. John calls into the show to keep Josh pointed in the right direction and to impart his never-ending knowledge of the Galaxy and Guillermo Barros Schelotto. Josh will start by reliving a couple fun moments from the live show, before turning his attention to Sebastian Lletget, and the rest of the Galaxy team at The Novo for launch party. Was Giovani dos Santos welcomed with open arms? And what was the best story of the night from the event? It involves some adult beverages. And where has Bradford Jamieson IV been? We’ll try and get you up to date on his fluid situation. Finally, Josh and John will really close out the show by making sure that you understand exactly who’s in charge of this team in the preseason and why Giovani dos Santos has nowhere to hide in 2019. If he’s staying with the club, there is only one option for him. And that’s to perform. It’s a great 60-minutes of Galaxy talk covering a very busy weekend in Galaxy land. And we’re so thrilled we got to spend so much time with our favorite people – our listeners! Music Provided by Back Pocket Memory.

TAPS BREWERY & BARREL ROOM: http://www.tapsbrewery.com TUSTIN, Calif. -- Your Corner of the Galaxy hosts talked some LA Galaxy soccer in front of a crowd of over 100 people on Saturday afternoon. And even though the game they were supposed to go to was canceled, a great time was had talking some soccer and drinking some beer! Your host, Josh Guesman, was joined by Eric Vieira, Wendy Thomas, Larry Morgan, and a brief -- but unintelligible call from the Panda himself -- Kevin Baxter. Showing up to make sure all the announcements sounded just like they did on the regular podcast, was the voice of the Galaxy, public address announcer, Mike Araujo. Together, your hosts give you over 90 minutes of Galaxy soccer-talk as they covered why the one writer thinks the club is a bunch of cheaters, what the injury report is, and what rumors you can trust to be true -- probably none of them. But along the way, we'll end up talking about the David Beckham statue, the scrimmage with Atlanta United, and why the Galaxy have been hiding Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The cast will also tell you why Javier Valdecantos is more important that Guillermo Barros Schelotto, as well. We'd like to thank Taps Brewery and Barrel Room for hosting the event! They served up some awesome beers, some great food, and the perfect venue for the very first Corner of the Galaxy Live Show! A big thanks to all our listeners who traveled to the OC, and donated their money to the Galaxy Foundation. We couldn't have done it without you! Now it's time to kick off our 11th season of podcasting and covering the Galaxy! Music Provided by Back Pocket Memory

But with the Vancouver Whitecaps, the club is now facing a relative unknown after a coaching change on the visitor's side. Will that be an advantage for the Galaxy? On today's show, your hosts Josh Guesman and - returning from her Italian getaway - Wendy Thomas, get you all the updates on the Galaxy you need before Saturday's BIG GAME. First, Josh and Wendy will talk about Ashley Cole's future with the club and why you need to be at the next two home games. Does the footballing legend deserve a better sendoff from a team that has totally wasted his talents? Or could the Galaxy see more of Cole next year? Next, your hosts will talk about Dave Romney's contract situation and why you might not see Giovani dos Santos for the rest of the 2018 season. With Romney, do you want a versatile defender back, even if he's not a starter and you need to give him a raise? And with dos Santos, are you ready to write a big check to make sure he doesn't come back in 2019? Finally, Josh and Wendy will get you the updated playoff chances, talk about why the Whitecaps may have broken away from Carl Robinson and why that has a Galaxy link, and tell you about four players who could be in big trouble if they get a yellow card in Saturday's game. Here's a hint: One of their initials starts with Zlatan Ibrahimovic. We've got over 60-minutes of Galaxy-talk to get you ready for the biggest game so far this season. And boy will they need it.  On today's show, your hosts Josh Guesman and Wendy Thomas are back to get you all the latest Galaxy injury news and to get you ready for a "must-win" game against RSL.  But is this game actually a must-win? Do the Galaxy have any wiggle room remaining in their last seven games? Could the Galaxy and three other teams be fighting for the last spot already? Your hosts will also play a new game called "hit or miss." In this game, they'll try and determine which new-to-the-Galaxy players were a hit in 2018 and which ones were a miss. Plus, they'll be awarding Audi Index Points and Garber Bucks for no reason what so ever!  Finally, Josh and Wendy will take a look at all the Galaxy news including a certain national team call-up that should probably be ignored, and what exactly the Disciplinary Committee did to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Does the big man have to be careful?  This is 60 minutes of non-stop Galaxy talk and we're glad that we could bring it to you. We appreciate all your support. CoG Studios, CA -- The LA Galaxy are coming off back-to-back draws against the two worst teams in the league - the San Jose Earthquakes and DC United. We guaranteed some wins. So now we're blaming people! On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Wendy Thomas are back to take you over the 2-2 draw with DC United and also talk about what this Galaxy team looks like after 17 games. It's the midway point and that should mean something. Is this team better than the 2017 team? Can the Galaxy make the playoffs with the personnel they have? And what needs to go right for the Galaxy to start making some progress up the standings?  The United game showed a glaring weakness for the Galaxy and it's a lot bigger issue than just the defense. You see, the Galaxy don't know how to play with possession. So when they score first, they're direct passing cedes possession too easily. That means that when they do try to play a possession game, they give the ball away in bad areas and turn the ball over for goals.  But Josh and Wendy have a way to fix all of that. And they also have some strong thoughts on what the Galaxy should do with Giovani dos Santos. They even run a skit about it.  The Galaxy are entering the second half of the season in a nearly identical spot as last year. That should scare fans away from this team. Because it should still feel like preseason for the Galaxy. And they're finally getting players back and the entire team might be the secret weapon the Galaxy haven't had this season.  And this weekend should be a great test. With Gyasi Zardes and Jon Kempin entering StubHub Center for the first time since they were traded and let go, emotions will be running on high on Saturday.
