The Music & Entertainment Business Has Often Erroneously Been Referred To As "The Industry" For So Many Year's, Often To The Detriment Of The Young Creatives Who Actively Work To Facilitate The Existence Of The Business Which Vicariously Feeds Into The Residual Stimulation Of The Various Auxiliary Industry Entities. The Content (Music, Merchandise & Product) That We Create Is Part Of The Entertainment Business, While Many Of Outlets That We Use To Disseminate The Content Through (DSPs, Social Media Platform's & Terrestrial Media Outlets) Are All Part Of The Industry That's Created As A Result Of Talent Feeding Into The Business Through Their Art. We Now Have Conversations About Industry Plants Being Propped Up Ahead Of Talented Acts Looking To Break Into The Business & Independent Artists Who Are Building Their Own Value Chains Outside Of The Mainstream Machine, Something That One Can Only Critique With Context... On This Episode, I Discuss How Our Local Entertainment Business & Industry Can Grow As A Result Of Investing More Into The Talent On The Come-Up, While Also Backing More Of The Indie Start-Up Imprints With Production Deals That Will Help Them Elevate Into The Highest Realm Of The Game And Still Leave Room For The Industry Plants, Who Also Have Roles To Play Within The Eco-System. My Proposed 60/20/20 Diet Will Create Room For Everybody To Eat And Eat Well For Decades To Come... Our Local South African Entertainment Culture Is Now Leading The Global Charge; Through Our Fashion, Films, Merchandise, Music, Podcasts & Various Other Value Creation Offerings; It's Time For Us As The Main Stakeholders Of This Culture To Rise Up And Fully Make Use Of This Opportunity To Help Revolutionize Our Nations Economic Landscape Through The Creation Of Equity Employment Opportunities Within This Beautiful Game Of Ours. May We All Be All That We Can Be. “Lighting Another Candle, Doesn't Diminish Your Light; It Only Creates More Light.” On This Episode, 2RU-STORI Takes A Moment To Share Some Of The Lessons That He's Picked Up In The 1st Quarter Of The Year, Sharing How He's Preparing For Sowing Season Through The Lost Arts Of Creative Collaboration & Constructive Co-Operation. As A Centurionite Since I Was Yay High To A Computer Desk, I've Been Lucky Enough To Experience So Many Cultures; Through Music, Fashion, Television, The Internet & My Own Physical Travels; Returning Home To Centurion, After Nearly A Decade Away Schooling & Working In Braamfontein, I Found A New Wave Of Creative Talents Being Birthed / Incubated To Help Impact A Cultural Renaissance. One Thing You Should Know About Centurion And The New Pitori Wave, Is That Collaboration Is Our Natural Conversation... Cap City Culture, From The Onset, Has Been Built On A Solid Foundation Of Teamwork... From The Cyphers @ State, Onto The Strictly Hip-Hop Dance Competitions & Brick ‘N Mortar Merchandise Shops That We Experienced During The Mid 2000's, Through Onto The New Cultural Phenomena Like “Fontein”, Godspeed & The National Treasure Known As Focalistic, The Success Of Pitori Culture Has Always Been Underpinned By Collaboration. Somewhere In Centurion Right Now, There's A Creative Talent Preparing For Their Breakthrough, Due To Their Light Being Lit My A Fellow Centurionite On The Cusp Of Greatness... That The Centurion Way, If We're Keeping It 100. It's More Than Just Music For Us As Pretorian's; The Music, Lifestyle & Culture That We Produce, Package & Sell Is Intrinsically Unique To Us And The Lives That Our City Has Allowed Us To Live... Yet We Aren't Limited To Just Creative Expression, The New Wave Is Focused On Leveraging That Good Clout Into Those Great Bags & Levels Of Influence That Will Allow Us To Impact Lasting Changes In Our Communities. We Aren't Naive To Our Reality's, For Every Successful Young Pretorian Who You Will Meet In The Game Today, There Are 4 Highly Talented Individuals Who Didn't Get The Breaks They Needed To Get Over... That's What We're Working To Change, We Know That The Power Lies Within Us, So Now We're Rising Up To Take Full Control Of That Power & Work To Affect Lasting Positive Changes Within Our Society At Large... “The Lord Giveth, And The Lord Taketh Away, Praise Be To The Lord.” It Was Early 2016, And I Was Going Through The Utmost! My Late Little Brother Would Often Come By To Visit, After His Lectures In Town, And We'd Have Our Regularly Unscheduled Fellowship Sessions... I'd Sit & Roll-Up While We Talked About Life, Love, Loss, Lessons & All Things In-Between, Then He'd Always Leave Me With One Of Those Profound Remarks That Had Become His Signature... “The Lord Giveth, And The Lord Taketh Away, Praise Be To The Lord.” I Looked At The Peace In His Spirit As He Said That, There Was A Young Man Who Had Found The Secret To Life, And He Was Eager To Share It With Anybody Who Would Care To Listen. My Brother Passed On In 2018, By The Time I Begun To Actually Heal, 2019 Happened To (For) Me... Then 2020 Did The Most To (For) Us All. In 2021, I Thought No More Losses... Yet We Can't Begin To Gain What We Truly Need, Without First Taking Some “Losses” Along The Way. We've Seen Some Truly Great People Leaving Us In The Physical, To Live On Eternally In Their Spiritual Form, Some Amazing Creations Who Lived Their Lives In Ways That Make You Remember Them With Fondness, Gratitude & A Genuine Sense Of Appreciation. It's That Dash In Between, Not The Day We're Born Or Pass On Into The Afterlife, Which Truly Determines Our Legacy... It's One Thing To Be Remembered, How They Remember You Is A Totally Different Matter Entirely.

We All Need A Place To Call Home, Where We Can Be Ourselves, Unapologetically... In Today's Day & Age, Finding A Place Of Solitude Through Social Media Is Surprisingly Rare To Most Millennials & Gen-Z's, Which Is Rather Odd When One Considers How Most Social Media Platforms & DSPs Tend To Pride Themselves On Their Ability To Breakdown Borders And Create Globally Reaching Movements, Communities & Places Of Solitude/ Safety. As A Stoner Who Spends A Fair Amount Of Time Online, Due To The Nature Of My Profession As A Creative, Finding A Home Within The #Mmemeberville Community Has Allowed Me With A Newfound Sense Of Freedom, Belonging & Purpose... Having Attended The 2018 Cannabis Expo, I Grew Even More Enamoured With The Potential Of Marijuana As An Equilibrium Creating Industry For Us As Black Africans, Who Often Find / Found Ourselves On The Outside Looking Into Existing Markets & Business Sectors... You Often Don't Realize How Much Room You Have To Still Grow, Until You're Afforded With The Space That You May Need To Do Some Life Altering Introspection... That Happened To Me In 2018; I Was Down On My Luck & Short On The Self-Belief That I'd Been Able To Steadily Tap Into During My Formative & Teenage Years; When God Took Away All Of The Distractions & Left Me With The Space That Was Needed For The Holy Spirit To Work, I Begun To Learn & Apply A Lot Of The Principles / Messages That I Am Now Gratefully Able To Share With Y'all Through My Creative Content. "Are We Really Growing Up, Or Just Growing Older...?" On A Phone Call With A Prayer Warrior Who My Dad Had Asked To Call Me For A Spiritual Consultation During That Pivotal Time In My Life, I Was Allowed Further Insight Into An Issue That Had Been Vexing Me For Some Time... The Issue Of Provision Can Rightfully Weigh Heavy On The Being Of An African Seed; When You Consider Our History Of Being Taken Advantage Of & Deprived Of Our God-Given Provisions, Our Oft Misguided View Of Provisions Being Readily Available To Us Is Extremely Understandable; Our Higher Power Is Unlike Human Beings, There Is No Rationing Or Differentiation In The Spiritual Realm... You Will Always Receive What It Is That You Have The Capacity To Handle, Regardless Of How Deserving / Undeserving You May Consider Yourself To Be. Gratitude Is The True Key To Receiving More Of The Spiritual Blessings That Underpin Our Physical Blessings... There Are Provisions In Many Varying Forms, Once We Learn How To Appreciate All Of Our Provisions & Work Towards Utilizing Them In The Best Possible Manner We Can Access Even Higher Levels Of Blessing & Provision. May You Never Lack All That You Need To Be The Best Possible Version Of Yourself... May All That You've Been Blessed With Be Used To Create An Even Better Society For All. If You Could Speak To Yourself Just A Year Ago, What Life Changing Information Would You Share With Yung You From 2020? My Lil' Brother CJ Has Made A Habit Of Providing Perspective In Rather Key Times Of My Developmental Years, While Also Managing To Be A Constant Source Of Motivation And Some Much Needed Encouragement... Having Been Hard At Work To Establish Ourselves As Professional Creatives Over The Past Few Years, We'd Grown Apart Due To The Physical Distance That Was Between Us, Yet I Was Still Able To Tap Into Lil' Bro For That Perspective, Motivation & Encouragement Over The Years. Since We've Recently Reunited Through His Relocation Back Home To PTA, I've Been Able To Learn So Much In Such A Short Span Of Time... Appreciating That Position In Time Has Allowed Us Both To Grow Even Closer To Who We May Be, Which Has Been Truly Beautiful To See And Experience. A Year Ago Today, I Was Still Tryna Pick Up The Pieces Of Some Broken Dreams, That Were Shattered By Almost A Decade Of Bad Decision's Emanating From A Misguidedly Controlling Degree Of Self-Doubt & Overall Destructiveness. Learning How To Be Grateful, In Some Of The Most Inhumane Situations, Conditions & Times Can Do Wonders For Your Present And Your Future, I'm Living Proof Of That. A Year Ago, I Started To Repeat A Quote That Had Kept Me Going Through The Trap Years, One That Would Keep Me Going Throughout 2020... “Appreciate Your Position, While Plotting Your Promotion.” That Bar From The OG Uncle Jalen Rose Has Helped Me Get To Where I Am Today, Despite Having Taken The Road Less Travelled And Valiantly Fighting To Overcome All The Obstacles That One Finds Along The Way. Gratitude Gave Me An Opportunity To Receive More Than What I Was Asking For / Working Towards At The Time, Giving Me Even More To Be Grateful For, Which Is Pure Proof Of How Mercifully God Loves Us All. Everybody Yearns To Be Free Of Their Daily Stresses, In Order To Be Fully Emancipated Enough To Actually Do What We Can't Afford To Do, Yet Yearn For Daily. Oh To Bask In The Privilege Of Escape From The Mundanity Of What Living Has Become For Many Of Us... That Would Be Utopia, Innit? It's More A Question Of Whether We Aspire To Attain More Out Of Life And Truly Enjoy The Fullness That Life Offers Each & Every Single One Of Us, Or Do We Opt To Keep Believing The False-Realities Sold To Us Everyday As Doctrine, Just To Keep Us Working To Maintain The Status Quo... A Fake Ass Botched Job Please Call Dr. 90210 Brazilian Butt-Lift Of A Status Quo That Actively Lives, Breathes & Feeds Off Of A Lack Of Societal Access To Basic Freedoms. We Live In A Society That Doesn't Even Have The Decency To Trace A Vague Opaque Picture Of What Freedom Would Look Like, If All Creation Were Truly Free To Be As We Were Created, Under The Guise Of Offering Some Tangible Idea Of Freedom, To A World That Has Growingly Become Pretty Enthused By The Idea Of Being Modern Slaves, Because “It Doesn't Feel As Bad As Slavery Ought To Have Felt.” It Used To Be A Question Of “If” The People Woke Up To The Lies That We're Being Used To Keep Selling, How Would Society Change For The Better? Then It Became A Question Of “When” Society Wakes Up, What Will Change For The Better... Now That We Are Growingly Becoming Awoken To The Falsehoods That Have Been Used To Underpin Our Enslavement, Long After The Heinous Oppressive Doctrines Of Slavery, Civil Rights & Apartheid Were Fought And Abolished By Our Ancestors, What Are We Now Doing To Help Create A Better Society, For Ourselves & Those Who Are Yet To Come? The Power Is Now In Our Hands, We Cannot Fail To Learn Lessons From Those Who Abused Their Power To Oppress Us & Deplete Our Great Motherland Of All She Held Dear, We've Gotta Get This Life Thing Right! here Comes A Time, Where Training Ends & The True Battle Essentially Begins... For Many Young Gifted African Seeds, That Time Is Now! You Can't Keep Waiting To Be Told That You're Ready To Lead Your Generation, You Needn't Be Waiting For Someone Else To Show You Where You're On The Right Track On Your Journey, We Can Easily See How Messed Up Things Have Gotten Within Our Society, Because Things Are So Messed Up Within Our Homes, Schools, Workplaces & Social Media Communities. It's A Mess, Simply Because Somebody Profits Off Of Our Mess; Then They Ofer Us Elixirs For Issues That Didn't Really Concern Us Like That At All, Until It Behoved Certain Interests To Peek Our Curiosity / Pander To Our Fears & Wait For The Economically Beneficial Ripple Effect That Comes With Us All Running To Try And Get Right, Or Win An Advantage Over Our Fellow Human Beings. This Recent Pandemic Made Me Ponder About The Level Of Progress We Would See, If Mense Fought To Battle Their Own Personal Demons, Vices, Shortcomings & Obstacles To Progress, As Hard As We Fight Against Vaccination, Xenophobia, Corruption, Bigotry & Racism When Those Real-Life Issues Comes Up On Our TLs Or In Conversations Within Our Social Circles... The Fire To Fight Is All The Way There And It's Litty, I Believe That It Just Needs To Be Channeled Into Actionable Items & Issues That Can Move The Needle Forward, So That We Can Be Truly Free Of A System That Only Exists To Oppress Us & Eat Off Of Our Modern Slave Labour, While Hiding Under The Guise Of Democracy, Free Market Enterprise & “The Modern Way”. Are You Part Of The Problem, Or Part Of The Solution? In My Experience, Those Who Have Been Closer To The Problem, Are Often The Best Conduits To The Solution, Once They Have Unlearned To Actually Learn. Success Is Something Many Of Us Yearn For, In Our Individual And Collective Endeavours, We All Aspire For A Relative Degree Of Success, Attainment & Accomplishment... Which Makes It Hard For Many Of Us To Initially Grasp How Success Can Never Be Owned; As It's A Continual Process That Revolves Around You Paying The Rent For That Lease To Success, Every Single Day; Once We Realize How Our Success Should Always Be Relative To Our Own Goals, Set By Ourselves For Ourselves, We Begin To Understand What We Would Need To Do / Sacrifice / Pay Upfront To Ensure That Can Begin Garnering Access To The Realm Of Success That We Have Ascertained To Be Best For Us. That Way, You May Never Own Success (In Being Successful Forever) Yet You Will Own Your Accomplishment Of Your Unique Goals, Which Is Measured Success... A Success That's Relative To You And What You Aspire To Get Out Of Life / Contribute To Society. What Does Success Mean To You? You Will Need To Quantify Your Definition Of Being Successful In Your Life, Before Quantifying What You Will Need To Pay In Terms Of Rent, In Order For You To Lease That Success And Own The Attainment Of Your Real Life Goals... Not The Life Goals We See On Social Media. When We Live For Other People's Definition Of Success, While Also Not Being Cognizant Of What Their Personal Rental Price For That Success Truly Is. We Can't Run From How This Warped Grasp Of Success Has Affected Our Personal And Communal Ability To Uplift Ourselves, It's Time For Us To Take Control Of What Is Ours... Your Success Belongs To You And Those You Live For Vicariously, You Quantify What That Success Is, Qualify What You Gotta Do To Go Get That, Then Celebrate Your Wins, Your Way! For The Past 7 Odd Years, I've Been Diametrically Opposed To Celebrating My Date Of Birth, As A By-Product Of How Unsuccessfully I Felt My Life Was Panning Out - The Reality Is, I May Have Not Been Where I Wanted To Be, At Those Moments In My Life, Yet I Also Can't Overlook How Those Experiences Helped To Pave The Way For The Life That I Live Now - These Past Two Years Have Been A Little Bit Different, Partly Due To Me Now Being In My Late 20's, And Mainly Due To My Own Growth Process Having Been Continued, The Point Where I Can Fully Appreciate All That I Am, While Also Having A More Vivid Understanding Of All That I May Be. One Of The Keys To My Growth, Of Late, Has Been The Mending Of Ties Between My Father, And I; Something That I Yearned For, For So Long, That I Had Moments When I'd Give Up On Things Ever Changing, Because It Seemed To Be Taking Too Long; I Guess That's The Beauty Of Faith, Even If You Have It, And Battle Moments Of Unbelief / Distrust In The Process, Your Ounce Of Faith Will Be Rewarded, To The Point Where You Are Incentivised To Practice A Higher Degree Of Faith; My Pops Used To Be Rather Prone To Missing My Born Date By A Few Days, As I Was Born A Full 7 Days Before Him, I'd Find It Easy To Understand How, But Harder To Understand Why, When I Could've Used That Welcome Reminder Of What My Life My Mean To The Person That Helped Bring Me Into This World. This Year, The OG Has Been Hinting At My Birthdate Since My Birth-Month Begun, Which Warmed My Cockerels, As He And I Have Begun To Sow Seeds Of True Fellowship, And Nurturered The Plans With Daily Dosages Of Love & Light, A Process That Has Seen Me Emerge From My Darkness, Into A New Light, One That Shines Brighter Than Anything Dad Was Wishing, And Praying For Me. When I Dropped Out Of Varsity Last Year, My Dad Was Extremely Disappointed, Both My Dad's Were Peeved If I'm Keeping It Trill - When I Managed To Explain To Them How I Was Working To Better A Situation That We Had Inherited As A Generation, And How Creating More Job Creators, Was Way More Profitable Than Continuing On A Path That Would Inevitably See Me Join The Ever-Growing Line Of Young Job Seekers, In A Nation That Didn't Train Us For The World That We Ended Up Inheriting - The Conversations Were Robust, Knowing How My Family Comes From A Long Line Of Gifted, Selfless Educators, Who Transitioned Onto Other Things In Life, While Still Remaining Teachers At Heart, I Had To Eloquently State How I Would Stay True To My Roots As One Born To Enlighten, While Still Serving My Purpose, As A Content Curator. Over The Past 10 Months, I've Been Working On Myself Far More Than I Had In The Previous 10 Years, And I've Made A Lot Of Personal / Professional Breakthroughs, Which Often Leads To My Dad Squad Hitting Me Up For Constant Updates, Check-Ins, And Counselling Sessions, As They Begin To Feel Comfortable With The Role That They Play In My Life... A Reality That Has Now Fully Prepared Me To Be A Father, And Pay These Blessings Forward, Through Raising My Seeds In The Manner A Father Ought To Raise His Children, Faithfully & Forever. I Pray We Learn From Our Lessons, So That We Can Apply Those Learnings Where Applicable, And Teach Those Teachings To The Next Generation, Preparing Them For All The Possible Eventualities Of The Future... Or Better Yet, Equipping Them With The Tools They Will Need, To Build The Future In The Manner That They Will Envisage It To Be. Learn. Apply. There Are Times, Places, Situations, And People, That Lead Us To Reflect Upon How We Have Grown From Seeing The Problem From The Outside, To Being Part Of The Problem, When We Now Have The Power To Be A Part Of The Solution... On This Episode, I Reflect On Some Of The Downsides Of Our Come-Up As Young People, In Relation To How We Choose To Spend / Invest The Fruits Of Our Labour. #Pray4Black Is A Personal Reminder Of How I Ought To Comport Myself, In My Personal, Spiritual & Professional Lives; I Once Found Myself On The Block With Djouri & Toko, Chewing The Fat, Watching Young Black Folks Go About Their Daily Lives; When You've Grown To Realize The Pressures Of Being Black In Today's South Africa, You Begin To Look At A Lot Of Your Expenditure / Investments Very Differently, Due To Your Knowledge Of What An Ounce Of Opportunity Cost Can Do, When We Invest / Spend Our Money Wisely. This Thought Trail Took Me Down The Road To A Conversation About Young Black Entrepreneur's, And How We Now Have To Believe In Our Businesses Enough To Up-Sell, Without Selling Out, So That We Can Cash In, When The IP Goes National / Muti-National / Global In Due Time. It Took Me Back To A Convo That I Once Had With TeRRa On The Timeline - Why Do We Settle For R 100k Today, When We Can Get R 1m A Year Later, While Still Owning Our IP? - The Hommies Response Led To Us Engaging Around The Issue Of Faith, As It Pertains To Us Believing In Our Businesses Enough To Go Without Certain Things, For A Little While Longer, Just To Ensure That We Can Afford Our Cost Of Living Forever... The Faith Paradox Is Something One Cannot Afford To Leave Unopened, As One Can Unlock Unfathomable Value Creation Potential, Through The More Faithful Facilitation Of Turning Your Idea's, Into Realities, By Partnering Up With Other Stakeholders, To Leverage Upwards, In A Mutually Symbiotic Relationship, That Sees You Bring Your Idea's, While Others Bring Fiscal Resources, Physical Labour & Other Necessary Tools To The Party, Enabling Us All To See A Win, And Grow Even Further As A People. It's Because Of Great Africans Like HHP, Who Lived Fully In Their Time, That I Too Get To Live Fully In My Time, Understanding That My Right To Life Fully, Comes With A Responsibility To Love Fully, And Fully Serve My Purpose. With All That Has Been Happening Around The Globe, And In Our Country Over The Past Few Months / Year's, It's High Time We Begun To Look Within Ourselves For The Answers That We So Desperately Seek, For We Have Learnt That The Power To Impact Our Destiny, Truly Lies Within Ourselves. They Say That Our 20's Are Used For Unlearning Who We Aren't, So That We May Learn Who We May Be; I Can't Lie, The Process Is Arduous, Yet The Progress Is Worthwhile; There Was A Change In My Outlook, Early On In My 20's, As I Begun To Deprogram What Was Unprogressive About The Way I Was Living, And Started To See How Much We've Been Deceived Into Believing Things That Would Only Serve To Keep Us Oppressed, As A People. When I Begun To Relate More To Other People, And Their Unique Stories, I Grew To See The Beauty In Each, And Every Individual That I Had The Pleasure Of Engaging With, And Fully Experiencing In Full-HD. I've Met Young People, From All Walks Of Life, And Backgrounds, Who Have Had To Turn Their Backs On Their Support Systems, In Order For Them To Grow Into Who They Need To Be, For / In The Very Same Support System That They Had To Turn Their Backs On. It Takes Me Back To Another Principle That I Learned During That Time, “You Can't Put A Price, On Piece Of Mind”, Something's Are Worth Attaining, Especially When They Allow You To Live A More Peaceable Life, That Also Allows You To Be There For Folks, When They Need You. I Applaud Those Who Have The Gumption To Do What Needs To Be Done, So That They Can Do What They Want To Do, Just As I Applaud Those Who Do What They Feel They Need To Do, In Order To Do What They Truly Needed To Do. My Faith Has Grown Since I Was A Teen; Where Faith Was More An Function Of Expectation From Mom's, Than It Was A Desire For Me; As I Grew In My Desire To Develop A Connection To My Higher Power, And Learn More Regarding My Ancestry, I Begun To Shed So Much Of Who I Thought I Was, And Begun To Learn So Much Of Who I Am, And Who I Truly May Be. As A Lightworker, I Was Allowed To Go Through Some Dark Experiences, In Full High Definition, With A Spiritual Connection That Always Gave Me A Far More Clear Picture, Allowing Me To See The Narrative Truthfully, And Transparently. There Are Many Things I've Done In My Past, That I'm Not Too Proud Of, Despite Of How Justified I May Have Felt In That Situation, Due To My Inability To See The Situations In The Highest Definition, At That Moment, A Reality For Which I Still Repent, And Work To Make Atonement For. May Your Radiant Inner Light Shine Bright, As A Result Of All You've Had The Strength To Fight. As We Celebrate The Rerelease Of My Brother C.J.'s Book, Journey, I Felt It Right To Speak Upon The Journey That One Undergoes, When Creating... It Took Me A While To Fully Grasp The Concept Of Documenting Journeys, From Start To Finish, Especially As The Journeys Pertain To End-Products That Bring Value To The End-Consumer, And Fellow Stakeholders Alike. When I Reflect On How I Got To Where I Am Today, As A Professional Creative, I Can't Help But Draw Inspiration From What I've Had To Overcome. It's The Nights Where I Slept With Nothing More Than Two Slices Of Bread In My Belly, That Fuel Me To Create Today, Because I Learned How To Fight Through The Obstacles, And Create Back Then. That Rather Personal Reminder, Of My Driving Forces, Was Called Back To Mind Earlier This Week; In Conversation With Someone Rather Dear To My Heart; I Was Reminded Of My Own Hard-Fought Battles With Mental Wellness... I Guess I'd Grown To See My Battles With Anxiety & Depression, As So Much Of A Superpower, That I'd Begun To Neglect How I Initially Battled To Come To Terms With My “Condition”. I Suffer From An Acute Form Of Social Anxiety Disorder, I Tell My Shrink That It Emanates From My 'Rentals Leaving Me Free To Roam Around Shops Before I Could Barely Walk, But I Know It's Deeply Rooted In My Innate Desire To Be A Care Bear... I'm So Preoccupied With Fixing People, Places & Things, That I Get Thrown Off By Chaos In Certain Spaces, Or People... It's This Very Same Anxiety, That Fuels Me To Create Content That Speaks To Often Taboo, Or Underrepresented Topics Within Our Society. With That Contrasting View On My Mental Health Issues, I'm Now Able To Draw Inspiration From My Moments Of Anxiety, And Use Them To Create A Better Reality, Which Also Serves To Heal Me A Lot More Effectively, As I Relearn The True Importance Of All That I Am, Good, Bad, Or Indifferent. It's Much The Same With My Depression - Which Often Originates From A Feeling Of Helplessness, As It Pertains To Me Fully Serving My Purpose, As A Contributing Member Of Society - When I'm Down On Myself, It's Because Of The Actions That I'm NOT Undertaking, To Correct The Wrongs That Held / Hold Us Back As A Generation, Because I Know That I CAN Always Do Something, To Help Better Any Situation. I Take Heart From My Battles With Mental Health; From My Self-Harm, To My Depression, Anxiety, And Substance Abuse; I'm Now Able To See My Mental Health Struggles As Something Of A Superpower, One That Allows Me To Tap Into The Highest Possible Me, Affording Me The Opportunities I Need To Delve Deeper Into My Being, And Fully Unlock Who I May Be. To Win The Fight Within, We've Often Had To Fight Against Countless External Factors, Factors That We Couldn't Control - Part Of The Journey Is Documenting The Process, To Remind Yourself Of What You Overcame, And Hopefully Inspire Others Along Their Journeys As Well - What Separates Me Today, From The Person I Used To Be, Is My Ability To Fight Till The Death, For The Right Cause... There Was A Time When It Seemed Like All I'd Do Was Fight; Fighting To Be Understood As Selflessly I Understand, Fighting To Be Loved As Intensely As I Love, Fighting To Be Respected As Humbly As I Respect, Fighting To Be Believed In As Purely As I Believe In Others; I Still Fight Everyday, But Now It's A Different Fight, Because I Fight To Be The Best Possible Version Of Myself, Every Waking Moment, Of Everyday, Knowing That The Best, Truest Version Of Me, Is Far Greater Than The Morbid Shell Of Myself, Who I Allowed To Be Hollowed Out By Anxiety's, Depression, Insecurities, And Self-Doubt. Dear African Child, Please Keep Fighting The Good Fight, I Know It Ain't Easy, And We Battle With A Shit-Load Of Kak, As A Generation, Mara There Is No Other Way But Up, When You've Been Kicked Down, The Way We Children Of Africa Have Moered Since Before Our Birth. Keep On Journeying... Peace Unto You All! Lesedi, Kganya! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/fpuopodcast/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/fpuopodcast/support

Every Superhero Has An Origin Story, One That Explains Their Superpowers, While Also Underpinning Their Physiological Make-Up, As Active Combatants For A Worthwhile Cause. Creativity Is No Different For Me, As I View Our Ability To Create, In The Same Manner That We Grew Up Seeing Our Beloved Crime Fighter's. As I Prepare For A Busy 4th Quarter, I've Been Placed In Situations Where I'm Being Reminded More, And More Of My 2ru Origin Story... "When Genius Can Recognize Genius, That's When We Can Truly Do Some Genius Things." Self-Actualization Is Real, The Process Of Learning Who I May Be, Afforded Me With A Platform To See Myself Better, And Truly Overstand My Role In This Culture Of Ours. Hip-Hop Culture Raised Me; From A Boy, To A Man; I Garnered My Nutrients From The Culture - Music, Content & Lifestyle - My Teaching Were Derived From Being Immersed In A Culture That Taught Me How To See The Bigger Picture, And Play My Active Role In It, Regardless Of The Times, Opps, Or Resources Available, We Must Do What We Were Sent Here To Do... Further The Culture, For The Cause! Having The Power To Create Culture; Through Music, Content & Lifestyle; Comes With The Added Responsibility Of Contextualizing The True Narrative, And Bridging The Gaps In Our Society, Through The Culture Itself. As The First Hip-Hop Generation With An Almost Equal Access To Equity Ownership, Within The Very Same Culture That So Many Of Our OGs Helped To Create, Comes With An Onus On Us To Move Accordingly... There Are So Many Great's, Who Came Before Us & Paved The Way For Us To Be Empowered, We Have A Responsibility To Use That Power For Their Empowerment, As Well As The Empowerment Of Those Who Will Come After Us. May Your Origin Story Be One That You Can Remain 2ru To, May Your Origin Story Help Us To Create More Super Creatives, For The Cause. Overcoming Trap Life, Took More Than Just Wanting To Live A Better Existence - I Spent Years Having To Deprogramme Myself, Holistically, Of The Countless Wrong Principles, Values, Ethics, Beliefs, And Constructs, That I Had Grown Up Being Taught - When You Unlearn Who You Aren't, By Actively Working Towards Learning Who Believe Yourself To Be, You Quickly Learn That You've Always Had The Propensity To Become All You May Be... Sounds Trippy Right, How Can Years Of Substance Abuse, Sexual Immorality, Corruption, And Downright Skullduggery Be Used To Craft New Leaders Of The Free World? If You Believe, Anything Is Possible, That's One Lesson I Know To Has Always Rung True. In This Episode, I Shed Some Light On A Set Of Experiences I've Had In My Personal, And Professional Life, Over The Past Few Months - Being A Professional Creative, May Be A Choice For Some, Yet For Many Millennial's & Gen-Z's, It's A Life Calling To Serve Something Greater Than Yourself - As I Begin To Grow Into My Own As A Businessman, Entrepreneur, Job Creator & Solutionist, I'm Often Reminded Of Lessons That I Learned On The Come-Up, Yet Found Myself Forgetting, As Time Wore One. “Lessons Not Learnt In Blood, Are Soon Forgotten”, That Age-Old African Adage Has Been Engrained In My Mind Since I Was 10, And I Fell Of My Bike, While Running Away From A Vicious Monster, Disguised As A Rather Cute Looking Sausage Dog... When We Fall, And Tear Some Skin Tissue, Or Momentarily Bless The Surface Of The Earth With Our Body Heat, After Having Had One Too Many Drinks, It's Harder To Forget How We Ended Up In Said Compromising Situation, Because The Scars Tend To Be A Reminder For Us To Never Make The Same Mistakes Twice. Not So In Business, Where Some Of Our Shortcomings Aren't Always As Magnified As Falling Down The Stairs At The Legendary Zanzu (Rest In Party ) On Your Matric Dance Afterparty Night, Sometimes You Fall, And Have To Make A Mental Note Of That Fall, And It's Direct Causes, As You May Not Get A Scar From The Accident. When I Fell, I Promised Myself That I Would Remember What That Felt Like, Because That's A Place I Don't Ever Want To Be In, Or See Anybody Else In, For That Matter. The Reason I Grind So Hard, Is Because I Refuse To Go Back To The Bottom, Or Continue Seeing Any Of My People Confined To The Bottom Of Any Societal Construct, That's Not Where We Belong - While Our People Were Tricked Into Oppressive Ways, Before Being Trained How To Kill Ourselves, And Sell Each Other Into Slavery, We Are Actually Far Greater As Beings, More Powerful As Creators, And Deeply Connected As Spiritual Creations, As Compared To Those Who Oppressed Us In The First Place. “The Greatest Weapon, In The Hands Of The Oppressor, Is The Mind Of The Oppressed.” - Steve Biko My Summer Diet Goal, Is To Help Free The Modern Day Slaves, Those Still In Bondage To The German Whips, And Blood Diamond Chains, It's A Thankless Process, One That Often Puts You In The Belly Of The Beast, And Often Having To Fight Against Those Who You're Trying To Save, Because 250 Years Of Slavery & Colonization Takes A While To Filter Out. But You've Got To Stop Messing Around With Your Gifts, Because If We Learned Anything From "A Bronx Tale", It's That There Are Very Few Things In This World, That Are Worse Than Wasted Potential... They Say, That The Graveyard, Is The Richest Place You Can Find, Due To All The Dreams That Have Been Laid To Rest There. My Aim, Is To Inspire, Before I Expire... I Write This To You, Because I Know Very Well Where You Are - How The Roads To Your Glory Often Feel Blocked, And The Fruits Of Your Labour Don't Always Add Up To A Basket, Yet You Have Dreams Inside Of You Begging To Live - A Dream, Is Nothing More Than A Spiritual Gift, That's Begging For An Opportunity To Be Given Life. Which Only Brings Me To Now, You've Often Asked Your Higher Power For Help, To Get In The Game, And Play Your Role - My Late Little Brother, May He Rest In Power, Loved To Jovially Say, “Give Me The Jersey, And I Will Play...” - The Last Trequartista, Is A Homage To That Great Request, We've Asked God To Send Forth Workers Into This Great Harvest Field, Seemingly Forgetting, That The Harvest, Is A Consequence Of A Team Effort. We Live In An Age, Where Feminity Is Abused, And Seen As Being Weaker, In Relation To Masculinity... Something That Befuddles Me, When You Consider What Women Go Through, And Often Have To Withstand, In Relation To Men. When You Realize How Hard It Is To Take A Dump, After A Bad Night Of Junk Food, And Chilling, You Grow A Different Level Of Respect For What Women Go Through During Childbirth. For Many Of Us, This Unappreciation Of Women, Comes From How We Have Conditioned Ourselves To Become Desensitised To The Issue - For Most Men, There Are Two Groups Of Women; Women They Know, And Other Women; Which Creates A Reality Distortion Force Field Around Our Brains, When It Comes To Dealing With Women Issues - How Can It Be Sexy For Your Lady To Be Dressed In Her Form Fitting Dress At Dinner, But When It's Somebody Else's Partner, Sister, Daughter, Or Friend, Then "She's Asking For Trouble"? As We Mature Into Grown Men, We Ought To Put Away Childish Things, And Adapt Our Thinking To Suit Where We Are, Or Heading To - That's How I View Maturity & Growth, As A Process Of Evolving Into A More Whole Creation, That Can Be Joined With A Partner For Life - The Way We View Women In Our Society, It Comes As No Surprise, That We Abuse, Divorce, Kill, Molest, And Take Advantage Of Women In Such A Way, And Remain Oblivious To How We, As Men, Play An Active Role In Things Being As Depraved As They Currently Are. It's Begins With Me, I Need To Become Part Of The Solution, Not Not Remain Part Of The Problem. #SophiesFavouriteSong #Episode33 #ForPersonalUseOnly #LoudBoothPocastNetwork #JacarandaRepublik --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/fpuopodcast/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/fpuopodcast/support

As One Begins Construction On A Building, The Importance Of A Solid Foundation, And Reinforced Support Systems, Is Something That Cannot Be Overlooked, If You Seek To Ensure That The Structure Is Able To Stand On It's Own... That's How I've Grown To Understand Parenting; As A Joint Venture, Between Two Companies, Entrusted With The Role Of Building A Self-Sufficient Structure; When The Support Systems Within The Building, Are Lacking, Or Improperly Attended To, Due To Societal Realities, Like Divorce, It's Even More Pivotal, That The Building Is Reinforced, With An Added Support System, That Makes Up For That Failing Within The Foundation. My Father & I, Haven't Always Seen Eye-To-Eye On Many Things - When My Parents Divorced, I Found It Harder To Fathom The Extent Of His Apparent Lacking, Within My Support System - For The Longest Time, I Even Blamed Him For What He Wasn't Able To Be For Me, As A Father. When I Became A Man, I Found It Easier To Comprehend What He Was Going Through, Even As He Tried To Build A New Life, And Forgive Himself For Some Of The Choices He Made. I'm Growing Closer To My Father Now, By Grace, And I'm Grateful For The Reinforcement That His Presence Provides, On A Physical, Emotional, And Spiritual Level - I Wouldn't Trade Any Of That Hurt From The Past, Because It Helped Me Appreciate The Grace We Have As Father & Son Today, While Preparing Me To Fully Love My Seeds, In The Future - I Guess That Age-Old Adage Is True, It's Better Late, Than Never... While I Was Out Searching For The Love, That I Felt I Never Had, My Mother Did Everything She Could, To Supplement That Shortfall, And Some. My Mom Played So Many Roles In My Life, That I Momentarily Took Her For Granted, Through My Dependence On Looking For Some Outward Validation, Or Acceptance From My Father - By The Time I Grew Out Of That Adolescent Stage, My Mother's Love Was There To Help Make Me Whole Again - I'm Forever Grateful To My Mother, For Who She Is To Me, And Who She Raised Me To Be, As A Man. I Pray To Marry A Woman Who Embodies Such Character, While Being The Man Who Compliments Her, The Way A Man Ought To, And Give My Mother The Grandchildren She Prays For, To Continue Flowing Her Endless Streams Of Love Into, For Generation's To Come. The Time Is Ripe, For Us To Pick The Fruits Of Our Labour, As A Culture - The Fruits Of Harvest, Are Easily Collected, When There Is A Collective To Tend To The Work - Many Of Us Have Seen The Promises Of This Fruit, And Are Working To Bring Forth This Harvest, Yet More Often Than Not, We Are Working Alone, And Against The Tide... We All Have Dream, Just As We All Have Nightmares. Having The Faith Of A Mustard Seed, Truly Changed My Life... There Was A Time, When My Tongue Would Be Used; By Me, Against Me, Without Me Even Knowing It - The Power Of Words, Was Lost On Me, At That Time - When I Got Closer To My Creator, I Begun To Learn, Of How Much We Were Made In His Image; The Creator, In His Splendor, And Benevolence, Gave Each Of Us, The Ability To Create, As Well... As A Professional Creative, I Know How Different Creatives, Often Attribute Their Creativity, To Differing Origins, Or Sources - I Also Know, That The Tongue Speaks Life, And Death, In Equal Measure - When We Put That Power To Good Use, And Positively Utilize Our Words / Thoughts / Deeds, To Impact The Positive Change, That We Seek To See, Be, And Become, We Exercise Our God Given Powers For Good, When We Use Our Gits; To Curse, Belittle, Undermine, And Oppress One Another, We Go Against The Purpose, Of Our Powers, And Find Ourselves Feeling Like Sh!t, More Often, Than Not. Upon Deep Introspection, Meditation, And Spiritual Consultation, I've Been Reminded, Of The Power That We Have, As A Generation - Just As This Current Reality, Of A Depraved Society, Was Manifested By Those Who Lacked Faith, In The Greater Go(o)d, Or Cared Even Less To Find it - The Power, Is In Our Hands; Both Literally, And Figuratively; We Can Rise Up, And Manifest A Progressive Generation, That Impacts Lasting Changes, By Simply Waking Up To The Power, Of Our Own Words, And Our Prayers, Both Spoken, And Unspoken. Jody's Role, In The Movie “Baby Boy”, Was One Of My Earliest Glimpses, Into This Complex, That Stunts Many Young Boys, From Developing Into Men, As They Grow Older - The Diary Of An Auto-Didactic Man, Has Been Published, In Horrific News Articles, And Catalogued Through The Traumatic Experiences, That We Have Subjected Women, And Children To, In Our Society, Over The Years - The Role Of Men, In Our Country, Cannot Be Understated, Even When We Have Fewer Examples, Of How Men Should Behave; As It Pertains To Protecting, And Providing For Those Around Them. Watching Jody Whyle Out, And Actively Work To Fcuk Up Every Good Thing In His Life, Hurt Me In The Movie, And In Real Life; Regardless Of The Bullsh!t That Our Blessings Come With, We CANNOT Afford, Not To Count Our Blessings, And Show Gratitude, For What We DO Have; We Have So Many “Baby Boy's”, In Our Society Today, Young Boys, Who Are Afraid To Grow Up, And Stand As Men, Because Somebody Else Did Something, At Sometime, That Has Left Them Feeling Someway, Which Is Somewhat Ironic, Since It's A Mere Perpetuation, Of The Same Vicious Cycle That They Are Already Caught In... We Can't Be Too Busy Using The Next Man, Or Woman, As An Excuse For Why We Can't Get Up, And Work, To Become The Change, That We All Yearn To See, Amongst Men, And Women, In Our Society. I Know This, Because I Too Was Just Like Jody, That's Why This Issue Touches Me, In Ways I Don't Like To Be Touched - Growing Up, Ain't Easy, But It Is Essential, If We Seek To Fulfill Our Individual, And Collectives Purposes, Here On Earth, And Leave In Peace, After We Have Truly Lived - I've Had To Grow Up, Quicker Than I Personally Would've Liked To, And I Wouldn't Trade That, For Anything, Because I Now See The Importance, Of Putting Childish Things Away, So That I Can Ascend Into Manhood, With Conviction, And True Understanding, Of My Role, As A Young Man, In A World Full Of Baby Boy's, Who Refuse To Grow, What They Call "The Fcuk" Up. Knowing, And Understanding, Certain Key Buzzwords, Within An Industry / Society, Can Help You Leverage, Existing Information, Into Newfound Possibilities, Quicker Than You Can Connect To Your Wi-Fi, After A 4-Hour Loadshed; You Could Know The True Meaning, Or Societal Impact, Of The Large-Scale Degradation, That's Intentionally Being Allowed To Occur, In Predominately African Owned / Inhabited Neighborhoods, Without Knowing It's Colloquial Term Of Identification (Gentrification), Which May Sometimes Limit Us, From Fully Being Able To Engage With, Or Speak For, Those Who Should Be Banding Together, To Help Us Remedy The Situation; Opportunity Cost, Is One Of Those Buzzwords... When We Understand Opportunity Cost, And Relate It's Application Into Our Everyday Lives; We Are Able To Better Allocate Our Time, Monies, Ideas, And Faith; Into Things That We Believe To Be Truly Beneficial, Based On Our Understanding, Of What Benefits Us, And Those Around Us, The Most. When We See The Lack Of Proper Paying Job Opportunities, Being Availed To The Youth, And Juxtapose That Stark Reality, With The Seemingly Readily Available Student Debt-Loan Instruments, And Peaked Interest From Certain Role Players, To Help Facilitate MORE Unpaid / Underpaying Internships, Learnerships, Or “Partnerships”, We Have A Valid Cause For Concern. The Opportunity Cost, Of Investing In More New Market (Black) Employers, Through SMMe Funding Initiatives, That Are Directed At Young Black South African's, Would Be The Creation Of More Jobs... Yet We Keep Seeing Our Hard Earned Tax Payer Monies, Being Misinvested, In Trying To Create More Employees, By Funding The Self-Same Institutions, That Were Designed To Keep Our People In Debt To The System. The Average Previously Disadvantaged Black South African, Once They Prove That They Are Actually Previously Disadvantaged, Through Providing Useless Documentation, Which Denotes Their Current Disadvantagedness-ness, Can Hopefully, Maybe, Somehow, Luckily, Get Access To Funding For Certain Schools, To Study Certain Courses, With No Guarantee Of A Job, That Will Generate Enough Income, To Help Them Pay Back The Debt, AND Still Have A Fighting Chance, At Trying To Break The Chains Of Generational Poverty, Which Still Entangle Many Of Us, As A People... What Could That R 300k / 3-Year Loan Mean To A Young Black Entrepreneur, On The Margins Of Their Industry? What's The Opportunity Cost Of Creating (Steve) Jobs, In Our Country, Today? That's The Price, That Many Of Us Have Had To, And Continue To Pay, To Help Create A Nation, Truly Alive With Possibilities, For ALL Her Citizens, Residents, And Even Visitors. Definition opportunity cost noun ECONOMICS noun: opportunity cost; plural noun: opportunity costs the loss of other alternatives when one alternative is chosen. Journeying Through This Beautiful Process That We Call Life, I Picked Up On A Key Personal Motto, Or Life Principle, If You Will - From The Qu'ran, Via The Prophet Willie Da Kid, I Learned That, "You Want It For Your Brothers, Like You Want It For Yourself, Otherwise You Don't Believe" - When I Look At The Gene Pool From Whence I Came, It's Easier To Trace My Predisposition To Give, All The Way Back To My Ancestors, I'm A Born Giver... When You're A Giver, Living In A World Overridden With Dire Need, It's Easy To Become Disillusioned With The Status Quo; You Often Find Yourself Giving That Which You May Grow To Lack, Eventually, Due To A Shortage Of Givers, Living Their Best Giving Lives, Allowing You To Be Replenished, As Well; This Complex Conundrum, Almost Led To Me Losing Sight Of My Purpose, And Life Mission, I Became Suicidal, Because I Felt Like People Had Stolen Away All I Had To Give, I Was Watching My Intellectual Property Being Used To Profit Other People, While I Could Barely Keep The Lights On, Or Help My Mother Out, When She Needed Me Most. "Vengeance Is Mine, Sayeth The Lord...", In My Deliverance, I Was Awoken To A Peace That I Never Knew I Could Have Again - Folks Don't Steal Something, That They Already Have - All Those Who Tried To Rob Me Of My Assets, Joy, Ideas, Faith, And Drive, Are Actually Broken Ass People, Who Couldn't Reach Those Heights, So They Tried To Bring Me Down To Their Level... Oksalayo, I Forgive You, I Truly Understand Now, That You Don't Know No Better - Giving, And Creating, Is What I Do Best, Others A Better At Just Taking, Or Stealing, And That Shouldn't Stop Me From Doing My Job... Just Because Folks Are Out There Creating Diseases, It Doesn't Mean Scientists Have To Stop Trying To Find Cures. We Move, In Faith. I've Been Hurt, As A Result Of Sharing, Caring, And Working Hard To Help Improve People's Situation's, On Both Personal, And Professional Fronts, I've Had To Take Losses, As A Result Of Investing My All Into People, Their Purposes, And Their Idea's - I Almost Stopped Fighting To Live, As A Result Of That Pain - I Lost Money, I Lost Businesses, I Lost Time, I Fell Into Crippling Debt, And Even Had To Move Back Home, Due To Some "Bad" Investments, In People - "For Even In Defeat, There's A Valuable Lesson Learned, So That Even's It Up For Me...", Those Experiences, Irregardless Of How Excruciatingly Painful They Were, Helped Propel Me To Where I Was Destined To Be, So In A Sense, I Helped Myself, While I Thought I Was Just Tryna Help My Guys... That's God For You, Always Thinking Decades Ahead, While We Stress About Often Inconsequential Things, That Only Serve To Distract Us, From Enjoying Our Personal, And Collective Life Journeys. Xenophobia, Among Africans, Should Be An Oxymoron, At Best... When We Delve Into The History Of Oppressive Systems, And Their Sole Purpose, To Divide, And Conquer, We Cannot Understate The Adverse Effects Of Colonialism, On The Mentality, Development, And Future Growth Of Africa As A Whole - Simply Put, They've Fucked Us Up So Much, That We Fight Among Each-Other, While They Continue To Fuck Us Up Some More - We Can Restore Africa Back To Her Rightful Place, The Way She Was Before They Raided Her, For Her Minerals, People, Land, And Wildlife, If Only We Practiced What We Preached, While We Were Fighting For Our Own Liberation. South Africa, Is One Of The Last Africa States To Gain Independence From Their Colonial Masters; Our Freedom Babies Aren't Even 30 Years Old Yet, And Our Nation Remains The Benefactor Of That Late Changing In Guard; Mzansi Is A Developed Nation, With Developing Nation Problems, That Boil Down To Maladministration, Corruption, And All The Vicarious Children Of The Worst Disease Brought To Our Shores By The Colonialist, Poverty... Our Nation Is In Far Better Overall Stead, When Compared To Some Of Our African Neighbors, Our Nation Is So Well Of In That Regard, That It Took Over A Decade For Us To Fully Spot The Level Of Fiscal Looting Happening Within All Levels Of Our Governing Structures; Many Of Our Neighboring Countries Have Been Stripped Bare Of Their Assets, From The White Colonizers, Onto The Black House Niggers, They've Plundered, Murdered, And Abuse Us As A People; Where, How, And What Violence Against Each-Other Fits In This Puzzle, You Will Have To Decipher For Yourself... There Are So Many Ways To Tackle This Point, Yet Few Of Them Will Lead Us To Winning The Ball Back Successfully - Religion, As Constructed By Mankind, Has Led To More Souls Being Lost, Than Found - Everywhere We Look Today, The Church Is Being Used By People, To Meet Their Own Personal, And Often Corrupted Needs. It's Sad To See How Truth, Can Be Used To Perpetuate Lies, When The Lies Suit The Interests Of Those Who Tell Them Best. We Can't Run From It Any Longer, As A Believer, Who Grew Up Spending My Formative Year's In More "Traditional Black" Churches, And Then Moved To The "White Churches" Of The 'Burbs In My Latter Pre-Teenage Years, I Can Speak With Some Authority, As To How Religion Has Got Us Dumbfounded, And Befuddled, As A People... The Doctrine Taught In Most Churches Today, Is Much Akin To The History Being Taught In Our School's, It Too Retains A Rather Heavy Colonial Undertone, That Makes It A Point To Undermine Traditional African Beliefs, And Religious Practices That Predated Many Of The Philosophers Whose Works We Ascribe To Today, Even When Our Traditional African Traditions, Beliefs, And Practices Have Already Been Referenced As Good / Righteous, In The Universal Book/s Of God. Selective Scripture Dissemination, Has Turned Many Of Our People Off From Having An Actual Relationship With Their Higher Power; Our People Can Often Remain Lost, Shunning A Relationship With God, While Also Avoiding A Connection To Their Ancestors As Well, Which Leaves Us Open To Being Victimized By The Lies They Tell Us Through The Media; We Have To Bridge That Gap, Educate Ourselves On The True Gospel Of God, And Reconnect With Our Ancestors, If We Are To Teach Our Kids Anything Worth Learning, And Actually Afford Them An Optimal Shot At Living Fully, In A World That Offers So Muc Promise, To Those Who Hold On To The Promises On The Most High. I'm Still Working On It, And I Pray You Are Too; Our Faith, As It Was Designed, Is More Than Sufficient To Lead Our People Back To Our Rightful Place, As True Kings & Queens, In Our Own Kingdom's; For The Salvation Of God's Children, Everywhere, We Continue To Pray.

Affording Others The Opportunity Cost That Comes With The Act Of Caring, Is Something We Should All Thrive To Do More Often - In A Society Filled With Large-Scale Unprecedented Levels Of Fiscal Mismanagement, Societal Neglect, Physical Abuse, Generational Poverty, Systematic Racism, And Overall Oppression In All Shapes, Flavours, And Packaging That Evil Comes In, We Can't Afford Not To Give A Damn - I've Grown To Learn, Through My Life Experiences; That Giving Is Relative To What's Being Asked Of You To Give, And What You Care To Ask Of Other's, Or Open Up For Them To Ask Of You... I've Had The Pleasure Of Knowing Some Amazing Spiritual Beings, Born With Brilliant Minds, And Talents That Could Change The World - Yet, For Whatever Personal Reason, They Found Themselves Homeless, And Fighting To Maintain A Daily Living, Against The Odds, While Living On The Streets - Knowing All That We Face, And Come From As A People, It's Hard For Some To Fathom How One Rises From Having Less Than Nothing, Living Everyday With Your Hopes Stuck In A Dark Place, And Somehow Manage To Ascend Into Your Highest Self, With All The Provisions You Need / Require, To Fulfill Your Life's Purpose... But When You're From The Places That We Come From, These Are Our Stories, These Are Our Realities, These Are Our People; Giving Back, Is Paying Forward That Which Even We Wish We Could / Could've Receive/d When We Were / Are Down On Our Luck; We Get To Give Back, As A Means Of Paying The Blessings Forward, That's How We Play The Game Forward. "Tryna Get, To Give Back; Call It Blessed Stress.../ Do They Still Show Concern, Over How We Dress?/ Making Profits Off My Thoughts; But I'm Spending Less!/ Cos Our Shopping Added Value, To Ubuntu Tax.../" ✍
