    Reflexive Performance Reset (also known as RPR) is a simple system of breathing and tactile input to reset your body’s nervous system to shift your body out of patterns of compensation and pain. Movement compensation patterns are a common cause of non contact injuries in sports as well as everyday aches and pain that also limit an athlete’s performance. The RPR wake up drills use reflex points to reset the body out of these compensation patterns. Athletes can do these wake up drills themselves and take back control of their own health and performance. I interviewed Jack Ginn who introduced me to RPR. Jack Ginn is a football and strength/conditioning coach. Jack has coached at the collegiate level and also works with high school athletes.     Dr. Travis Menge Interview & Choosing The Right Graft For ACL Surgery - Episode 15

    ACL reconstruction surgeries are one of the most common surgeries performed in the USA, however finding the right surgeon and the right graft is extremely important! I interviewed Dr. Travis Menge, MD on the Healthy Hustling Podcast w/ Dr. Eric Broadworth and discussed ACL reconstruction surgeries, particularly the use of a quadriceps tendon autograft. The quadriceps tendon autograft is becoming an increasingly more popular choice among orthopedic surgeons for ACL reconstruction when compared to the use of the patellar tendon, hamstrings, and cadaver grafts that are also used for ACL reconstruction. Some of the benefits of using a quadriceps tendon autograft include a lower rupture rate, stronger anatomical structure, and less invasive harvest site. Dr. Travis Menge is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He specializes in minimally invasive surgeries of the hip, shoulder and knee. Cassie and her boyfriend Mike have built an amazing community of fitness at Train Grand Haven. During the COVID-19 pandemic they have loaned out every piece of equipment that they could to their members. They have also continued to program home workouts for all members and the community during the quarantine.     Help us get Joshuah LeJarett to the Boston Marathon in 2021! Joshuah LeJarett is an inspiring man who does not let cerebral palsy stop him from reaching his goals. In 2019, Josh qualified for the Boston Marathon as the captain of his My Team Triumph team in West Michigan. Stephen Leppard, Josh's physical therapist, pushed Josh the entire 26.2 miles of the Metro Health Grand Rapids Marathon in about 4 hours, 19 minutes. Well under the Boston Marathon qualifying time of 6 hours for a duo team. However, since Josh has to register as a duo team they are not guaranteed a spot in the race unless they are chosen by a duo team sponsor such as Team Hoyt or Adidas. If you need inspiration about breaking down barriers and overcoming life's obstacles then you need to listen. We hope that Josh's story goes viral in the hope that someone with a connection with the duo team sponsorships can help Josh by sponsoring his team for the Boston Marathon in 2021.
