“ Let’s Talk About Errrrythang with JonseySweet;” is authentically relatable to the every day person! It’s the fearless conversation about race, sex, religion and overall what is happening in this crazy world that we live in. Hosted by me a woman of color; I’m given you something to talk about hunnity- rather it be sexual orientation or classification and then everything in between. I am unapologetically giving you some real truths. This podcast makes ALL OF US part of the conversation- because we all should be!!!
Techmoja Dance and Theater Company's very own Kevin Lee-Y Green talking to me about “ Fearless Motivation “ -Open Your Cage: Tryna To Big When Little Gotcha” I love this interview because he gives testimony about sexual trauma; that could have kept him quiet and no longer do what he was supposed to do as a kid. It's kind of like life was trying to silence him or evil entities were trying to silence him at an infant stage in his life. But as I say in my interview this gentleman has choreographed actors on syndicated networks; that's how you do life fearlessly is this why #fearless #motivation needed to be discussed. You do life… you don't let life do you. You don't want to miss this episode. Here's something to think about and I'm gonna talk about this on the podcast “take the limitations off” rare diamonds can't be viewed in museums locked up in a vault; and a bald eagle can't fly if he's caged ! Here's a thought why is it in a zoo; or if you go to a circus why is the lion caged? If all that he's known his entire life is captivity, he's never been in the wild; why do they lock the cage? It is because even though his experiences do not validate the cage; his instincts tell him that there's more that's out there! And the reason why so many of us are frustrated today it's because we are pacing around in the cage of a “ job”, “ or a life” or “ a situation “ that has limited us! We may not always have current access for it, we may not always have the education for it, we may not even have the training for it but our instincts are telling us we belong “out there” So tell your mind I take the limits off of you and open the cage !! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jonseysweet/message
This team of crafted and gifted entrepreneurs can definitely give you some insight on what it means to do life fearlessly! After all we are talking about “ Fearless Motivation “ - BE READY TO RECEIVE; ITS TIME TO MOVE ON So as you can see/hear we're not in our usual location; we are at the barbershop, that's right; some of the best conversations that you ever want to have, some of the best advice and some of the worst advice given takes place; that's right at the barbershop! When your family members gets tired of you telling them your dreams or talking about your problems your barber or stylist is your therapist for about 30-45 minutes depending on what you get. So what better group of folks to talk about Fearless Motivation then the people that have to encourage you day-to-day. And of course I want to use my personal barbershop. In the words of my guest Who is a radio personality for Coast 97.3, he has his own podcast called “ In The Booth with Big B” said; “A lot of times people can't see past what they can see”! Now he as a former school teacher and he's currently a philanthropist and he is an all out pillar of the community; he knows firsthand what he's talking about. As he goes on to say in the actual episode he talks about how influential seeing something different helped him choose the college that he went to help him make the decisions that he's made so far in his life. Now, Attorney Vanessa Gonzalez Esq. Who is a activist and sits on so many boards to help the disenfranchised people have a voice; said it best like she's trying to break the chains of I don't want to change she's trying to increase inclusion in her own community. Trust me she's a real voice for the voiceless. “ Coach Bell” A.k.a. Rodrick Bell; tells a different motivational story, he tells a story of how growing up in a small town but having big dreams changed his life. So much so, he tells a story of how he built a tin material shack of a club house for him and his friends in his hometown ( Small town on the Eastern Shore in Virginia ) called “ The KOOD is Half Kountry / Half Hood” to now owning his own construction company! These are my guess intimate stories and professional stories of how they've been able to thrive and survive and live life well! All three individuals are pillars of the community and they really give a damn about people. And that is a rarity. Ms. McCray; in this particular episode made a statement that was absolutely profound!! “ if you're focus on fast food you will never understand the benefit of fine dining”!! But what made this episode even the more funnier is that they were all three Virgos and it was not planned that way; so funny how divine creation can just makes things happen greatly ……. This is a killer episode is talking about; listen if your work hard, if you put in to practice the tools that you learned from reading a book, from the seminar that you attend to the extracurricular activities that you pay for to better yourself in your craft…. THE RESULTS WILL COME! It is not about just the manifestation of your hopes and your dreams it's about putting into practice the practicalities that's needed in order for things to come into full circle. Every small step is a step in the concrete confines of your purposeful life. When you volunteer on a committee that can give you access to people, when you work on your credit score so that you can actually purchase items to help build your business, when you pay for that online course in continuing education and when you strategically work on work life balance In order to sustain emotional growth ;your one step away from the “ RESULTS”. Life is not easy and big goals and humongous ( not a word) dreams have to be fulfilled through hard work…… This is the only way that you see the results, this is the only way that they will come. Hate it or love it. These are the opinions of my own and my guess had their own opinions about their lives and how to fearlessly operate in their line of work. You may not see or operate in the ideologies as we do we just ask that you respect it and hopefully you grow from it. There's a saying, it say success isn't owned;it is rented and you have to pay that rent everyday! The term “rent” of course is a metaphor for where you want to be what you want to do with your life your purpose. But you must put forth the work; success is not gonna just fall in your lap you must work in your craft; you must sacrifice, you must do what you need to in order to be successful. My guest on today show know all to well about what it takes to become successful in their entrepreneurial endeavors! For two years now they successfully operated a vintage style delicious coffee shop called “ Spill Coffee Co.” Tori and Amber are originally from California they wanted to bring the various different styles of coffee making that they learned in California to North Carolina. They are the very first vintage style Café in the Wilmington North Carolina area; and they dared to be different in a saturated market. They talk about the tenacity, the drive and the innovation that it took in order to get to the stage of actually having brick and mortar. You hear them talk about how they started small and then gradually got to the point where they could actually have people come to them instead of them coming to people. I love their passion for the company and they are the prime example of how you must “ Pay The Rent” These opinions on my show are my own as well as my guest have their own opinions they do not necessarily have to align with yours but this episode is designed to express the guests perception on how to be successful and motivate oneself when you're working on your purpose; along with the various different levels it will take to achieve said goals and dreams and the progression it takes in order to thrive in your vision. This series is something that I think everyone can attest to I think that it speaks volumes and it speaks near and dear to my heart; see you've got to go through a little shit to talk a little shit and in this life you will have hard times; in this life you will have to go through Life‘s ups and downs; but you have to do it fearlessly you have to motivate yourself you've got to stand strong. The power of “ I AM” is in you! It's in all of us. I feel like God has given us the strength and the will power to be great. I want you to understand the power behind the pressure; it's important that you understand that the rent is due on your life and you have to pay it with your time, your sleep, your peace and you're sure will. The key is not ever giving up; push through life adversities because at the end of the said adversity you're gonna come out stronger and better and you will reach the outcome that you're looking for. Don't let people deter you don't let their opinions stop you from your greatness. Hello my sweets!! It has been a minute; I know;and it's been so crazy that I had to make an episode about what's been going on in the world regarding the vaccines and COVID-19. I really hope this episode helps people to encourage one another through this trying time that we are all going through in the world not just here in the US. Know that getting the vaccine is a personal choice and that means respecting one's choice is important as well. The pandering and bullying is not called for and it's more hurtful than it is helpful. There is so much information out there from the federal government, to the CDC, to social media and we here in the world don't know what to believe. We all just wanna go back to normal to a situation that is not getting any better. But we must understand that, the division that this situation is causing is not helpful to anyone we must stand united! Let me take a recap with you for 40 minutes to discuss various events that have taken place and you can find them all on the “World Wide Web”. These social media constructs are definitely getting people into a lot of trouble or is it revealing the truth? From the royal family drama to the Kirk Franklin and his son situation to the Derrick Jaxn scandal all the way to the even more social injustice regarding our Asian brothers and sisters. Honey, I have even chimed in on some new tidbit of information regarding a private chat room called “ 4chin” that allows people to be themselves unapologetically. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jonseysweet/message
This episode is reflective of a personal experience of mine; after all one of life‘s greatest teachers is experience. You know I was shown some very sisterly love recently; so much in a manner that I thought was actually dead in today’s society. It got me thinking....... what if love was a holy and hate was a foul and criminal behavior. Well, my experience opened my eyes. I decided to start changing my behavior towards myself and toward others. I think taking a real hard look at ones self will help individuals truly do some deep soul searching; the kind of soul searching that causes you to improve your emotions, heal past hurts and improve relationships. Well, we are in the tenth month of what has been a hell of a year. This episode is to recap....... how shit will never be the same. It has been a conundrum of colossal events that continue to be shocking and tragic. I dare say; our own president has contracted the Coronavirus and very irresponsibly and very recklessly strutting around the US like he’s immune. So we all have to quarantine but him? And what about everyone in his campaign; these fools hold no regard for others that they come in contact with just freely exposing the virus. How irrational and self-centered is it for the leader of the free world to put other peoples lives in jeopardy and then say “I wanna make America great again”. Come November; make a decision that helps us all as Americans! Listen this episode is only based on the opinions of myself. I would like for you all to please take a listen to some of the ignorance that our fellow Americans have to say regarding the pandemic and Trumps overall performance in the White House. visit us on the website www.jonseysweets.com { I DO NOT OWN THE RIGHTS THE MUSIC PLAYING DURING THIS PODCAST} --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jonseysweet/message

Now that real-life dating has basically gone up in smoke, the idea that you could take a simple test and automatically be paired with your “ one True Love” sounds like a pretty good deal? But AMC's new series, “Soulmates”, set 15 years into the future where there is an actual for real possibility and leaves the viewers with many questions. What happens if your heart and technology tell you different things? Who can really define what a "soulmate" is, anyway? What if your better half is someone you hate? Soulmates is AMC's first anthology series, divided into six one-hour episodes that each focus on different people who are "discovering (or opting not to discover) the results of this new test and the impact of those results on a myriad of relationships,” according to AMC. Think Black Mirror meets Modern Love, with a dash of Stranger Things. In fact, the series is written by Emmy-winning Black Mirror and Stranger Things writer Will Bridges. Please clip the link to learn more : https://www.amc.com/shows/soulmates--45999. Please be advised that the AMC network isn’t endorsing this particular episode nor are they paying me to talk about the series. I am simply discussing this series and the extremely intriguing episodes; because I think it is heavily informative with regards to our societal views of marriage and relationships. These are strictly my thoughts and opinions! “ Your soulmate is the person you will love the most, more than anyone else. A soulmate isn’t someone who is going to fix you. We are taught to love ourselves, we are taught to aspire to marriage we can have ambition but not too much that it outshines “ the man “ in our lives. When children speak; most of the time it’s best to listen... My beautiful princess wanted to be on the podcast so I made sure that she was able to share a piece of her mind. Listen to her positive words. I speak powerful words that affirms who she is and who she will become. Children unfortunately are met with a lot of trials and tribulations, that sometimes it takes them years to heal from which in return causes them to be broken adults. If you teach them early on that adverse situations of little or great proportion will take place; no matter how hard you try to avoid them, it’s important to know how to cope and persevere through those situations. It feels great to end this series with a man who speaks to the community weekly a person who is very intelligent and can articulate himself profoundly. With part three of the series you will be educated on how to best equipped yourself mentally and spiritually because that’s all that we can really do. This candid conversation with Pastor Roscoe Harris of Abundant Life Ministries; was such a fantastic conversation I think it will speak to the depths of the current events that we are facing. It is so important; I should say imperative, that we have these conversations with other men and women of our race as well as other men and women of other ethnicities. I believe that open dialogue is the major key. The side effects of not healing trauma; is a world filled with violence, hatred and crime. #howmanymoretimes. (. This episode that I am having with my friend and colleague that is apart of Cumulus media; we’re gonna be talking about the recent events that occurred surrounding the three police officers fired from the Wilmington police Department. I desire to have this conversation pertaining to the swift yet fair professional response as the new police chief of The Wilmington Police Department Chief Donny Williams; with regards to an audit that was ran surprising to him. I’m absolutely proud that he didn’t need to do a deep investigation he saw the problem he resolved it he not only fired them but he made sure that they couldn’t go to the sheriffs office and try to find a job and hide. Men like them do not need to serve in any community;we don’t need those types of police at all. Police like them are cause of our protest and demonstrations or some would riots!! Black men are the foundation of our community; we need to hear their perspectives on life, economics, social equality, love and the pursuit of happiness. https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/06/25/us/wilmington-north-carolina-police-officers-fired-trnd/index.html. “ I Do Not Own The Rights To This Music” --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jonseysweet/message
Often times, some of the most prolific information or knowledge shared isn’t always by black men who have access to social media platforms; it’s from the average Joe, The person that has substantial experience in the social inequalities that’s taking place today. We need to give people that are experiencing social and racial injustice firsthand; an opportunity to discuss their feelings and hopefully gain some important information on how to bring about a change. This will be a three part series having “ candid conversations” from the average black males perspective and hopefully come up with some information to change America. “Please Note!!” I do not own the rights to this music nor sound bite. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jonseysweet/message
