Https://www.organizedenergy.co In this episode, we discuss the impact of the songs we sing and the words we say as it pertains to the seasons of life we're in. We discuss the fact that, as we grow wiser and we move past certain lived experiences, certain songs with certain sentiments are no longer the confession that would or should come from our mouths. We say what we want to see, as we learn that our words help create our world. The things think on, meditate in our heart, say with our mouths can directly impact our emotional well-being, our physical well-being, and the decisions we make. Sometimes, we must evaluate the lyrics to the music we listen to, and simply say, “That's no longer the season I'm in. That song served me then, but it does not serve me now.” Decide to sing sweeter words from the NEW song God is giving you. Sometimes a record gets old and a song plays out… Time to sing new lyrics to a new tune

Networking is essential to personal, professional, leadership, and brand development. It has been said that our network can help determine our net worth and there may be an element of truth to that. No one person can make it through this life all on their own. We need each other in some way, and it's imperative that we master the skill of playing well in the sandbox with others. That said, this episode focuses on ways that we can build relationships and nurture our network in ways that would prove to be valuable to those we are connected with. No, You May Not “Pick My Brain”

Recently, I came across a post made by someone I'm connected to on a social media platform. In the post, the writer lamented about her frustrations of not being paid or being underpaid for her services as a consultant. She resolved to hold her ground in the new year to refuse offers and requests that involved her providing speeches, advice, etc that were not tied to cash as payment. She went on and on, making statements that I could absolutely relate to and agree with. From her vocalized frustrations, I began to think back and think deeper on the subject. Many seasoned, professional consultants have experienced a time or two when they were approached with a request to “pick their brain” or to meet for coffee/lunch under the pretenses of “catching up” as old pals or getting to know a new one, only to end up at an attempt by the other party to inadvertently “pick their brain”… Many of these same professional, seasoned consultants have experienced opportunities to speak/render services with no monetary compensation, all in the name of getting “exposure”. It can feel frustrating and even insulting as the quality of your services are being devalued. Listen to this episode as I discuss how I handle such scenarios. Please comment and share whether you've had a similar experience and if so, please share how you handled it and was impacted by it.
