Kari Sherman is a mother, a business woman, a teacher and a personal growth coach with a passion for showing others how to improve their Mentality. She shares how our mistakes can be our greatest teacher if we take on the identity of a lifelong learner; her experience on how we grow through our failures when we don't allow ourselves to be identified by them; by learning from our mistakes and realizing that the work we are putting in now is an investment in the future versions of ourselves, we are able to become who God created us to be. Former NFL Player, American Ninja Warrior, Motivational speaker and Life Coach Anthony Trucks shares what it means to own your shift and make a change in your life. He opens up about being raised in foster care as child, eventually being adopted, watching his adoptive mother take her last breath, how he considered taking his own life after feeling like he didn't know who he was and how he was able to use these experiences as a catalyst to finding his identity and his purpose in life. This gives him a unique perspective on what having a Mettle Mentality means as well as how you can make a shift in your identity and become the version of yourself that you know you can be. He discusses the 6 types of failure and how we often apply the wrong type of failure to our situation which prevents us from developing. "Why is this happening to me?" Asking why will never end your suffering or bring you the results you're looking for. What if the answer to knowing why was found by asking yourself "How am I going to get out of this?" If you were ever abused as a child or are a trauma survivor in any form, you need to listen to this interview with @michaelunbroken. This interview was so powerful and so moving I was literally crying at the end of it. Coming this December 24, 2019, Christmas Eve. Mettle Mentality Podcast. A resource for consistently believing in your ability to endure hardship with fortitude; to be mettle. What is mettle? It's your strength of character you rely on to endure hardship with fortitude and grit. Hosted by Preston Ewell: A Husband, Father, and an American Soldier. 2 ½ years ago when a soldier opened up to me about his 3 failed suicide attempts. He did not believe that his suffering mattered or that he mattered. While he is doing well now, I’ve reached the point that I’m done watching anyone else believe that their suffering doesn’t matter and that they do not matter. I'm done with watching people quit and give up on their dreams, goals, improving themselves, their circumstances and eventually their life. My mission is to help you understand that YOU MATTER and YOUR SUFFERING MATTERS; to get you to believe in your ability to overcome hardship by relying on your grit and mettle. We each already have the ability within ourselves to overcome hardship, pain, addiction, insecurities and can grow from our suffering. Most of us just don’t know this yet and sometimes need someone to guide through the heartache. Join me as we learn from the experience of some Incredible individuals and begin to understand that YOU MATTER. Find your Mettle and become the best version of you that you know you can be.
