Connection, natural and pure.Disruption miscommunication disconnection ensured. But when souls are destined, they can never truly part. The Reconnection ... mind, body, & heart. The ReconnectPresented by: DJ Mike Nick's ... Your Forever DJ
We speak but the words fall frail /Echoes lost on silent trail. Eyes meet, yet fail to see /The love that once flowed effortlessly.Fingers brush, then slip away /Chilled by fears we're afraid say.A fortress built of pain and pride /Walls between where hearts should abide.Oh, how we ache to mend the seam /To find again the shared dream. But silence grows where love should dwell /interruption and disruption prevails. The DisConNect present by:DJ Mike Nick's ... Your Forever DJ
Two paths diverge, yet draw near/ Through winding roads, the way grows clear.A thread unseen, a whispered tone/ Guides two hearts to one unknown.Where shadows fade and light takes form/ The union sparks, a quiet storm.Connection blooms, a bridge begun/ Two paths align to merge as one.Connection presented by:DJ Mike Nick's ... "Romance is about the possibility of the thing. You see, it's about the time between when you first meet the woman, and when you first make love to her; When you first ask a woman to marry you, and when she says I do. When people who been together a long time say that the romance is gone, what they're really saying is they've exhausted the possibility."

A redo of the Summer 2024 mix. Hope y'all enjoy it!!!
After 10 years of silence, Kendrick Lamar has finally dissed Drake and J. Cole. Following the release of his verse on “Control” (2013) by Big Sean, wherein Lamar threatened several major hip-hop artists of the time, both Drake and Cole have released subliminal and conspicuous disses directed towards the rapper. Drake has primarily blasted Kendrick via interviews and social media, while Cole has limited his disses towards Kendrick to his music. Incredibly, despite Drake and Cole releasing statements, verses and various subliminal disses, Kendrick has denied both of them public responses for over 10 years. However, in response to the collaborative track, “First Person Shooter” (2023), wherein Cole and Drake essentially eliminate Kendrick from the podium for ‘greatest rapper alive,' Kendrick finally unleashed wrath with his scathing verse on “Like That” (2024) by Metro Boomin and Future. What followed is documented in this mix created by DJ Mike Nick's ... Your Forever DJ. Please listen and you can decide if there is a BIG 3 or who is standing alone at the top of this rap game. The Big 3 ... ?Presented by: DJ Mike Nick's ... Your Forever DJ
Queensbridge Houses, named after the Queensboro Bridge and known simply as “Queensbridge,” “The Bridge,” or “QB,” is the largest housing project in New York City and the largest in North America. The Queensbridge Houses were once at the center of the rap universe in North America from 1980-1990s. Queens, produced more rap talent than entire cities, states, and regions—Marley Marl, Roxanne Shante, Nas, Mobb Deep along with a hive of gifted MCs and producers emerged from QB. More than a sub-niche of New York boom bap, Queensbridge's sound mirrored life in the projects. The music was violent, claustrophobic, and nihilistic. It was confrontational. That the defining rap beefs of the 1980s (MC Shan vs. KRS-One), 1990s (East Coast vs. West Coast), and 2000s (Nas vs. Jay Z) all involved artists from Queensbridge was no coincidence. Queensbridge rap thumped. It banged.DJ Mike Nick's ... Your Forever DJ has put together his rendition of what Queensbridge and New York City sounded like during the 90' and early 2000's. QueensBridge gave hip hop a wealth of music.QUEENSBRIDGE:"A NEW YORK STATE OF MIND" MIXPresented by: DJ Mike Nick's ... Your Forever DJ
The Mighty Wu-Tang ClanThe Wu-tang Clan formed in late 1992 and has proven to be the most revolutionary Hip-Hop group through their music produced in the mid-90s, which wasn't their most valuable aspect. The clan consisted of nine emcees, “The RZA,” “GZA,” “Ol' Dirty Bastard,” “Method Man,” “Raekwon,” “Ghostface Killa,” “Inspectah Deck,” “U-God,” and “Masta Killa.” Their obligation was furtherance to engulf the record industry in a profitable manner for their winning. So their plan was to release a strong group debut album, then collaborate with one another to release invaluable solo albums. The Wu-tang Clan received their title through the martial arts film, "Shaolin and Wu Tang," which portrayed multiple disciples of the temple to be disciplined in the Wu-tang form. The origin of the word "Wu-tang" derives from Wu Dang, the Taoist holy mountain located in the Central China in the Hubei Province. The word also is the name of the Emperor Yong Le's Ming Purple Imperial City, which was constructed during the time period of 1404-1420. Their debut album, "Enter the Wu-tang (36 Chambers)," was designed to contain a Shaolin vs. Wu-tang theme, and dialogue from the Wu-Tang films were used as skits. An emcee of the Wu-Tang Clan, Method Man, also notes that a sword cutting through air molecules results in a "Wu" sound effect and the "Tang" sound effect is the result of contact made with a shield. The Mighty Wu-Tang Clan MixPresented by: DJ Mike Nick's ... Ruff Ryders' founders were initially famous for managing rappers DMX and The Lox who became multi-platinum stars for Def Jam Recordings and Bad Boy Entertainment in the late-1990s. After DMX's success, the management company started its own label imprint through Interscope Records, and had success with releases from female rapper Eve, former Bad Boy Records group The L.O.X. The Deans' nephew Swizz Beatz is the main producer for most of the acts on the roster. In 2001, Cassidy was signed to the label through Swizz Beatz along with Full Surface labelmate Yung Wun.Take a listen at my best of Ruff Ryders mix for those of you Ruff Ryder fansDJ Mike Nick's ... Just Re-posting this mix. I got made request for this mix in recent days.
Convoluted ... confused as to which direction emotions flow. This is how I see the arrangement and song selection of this mix. Yet, isn't that the true definition of a mix? A melting pot of up's and downs, an organized confusion, the perfect description of controlled chaos. A mixture a lyrics and sounds that tend to stir the soul, creating a wave of emotions on purpose. Yeah ... I did that!!!! I made you think, I made you feel, I made you wonder, I made you want, I made you miss, I made you breathe, I made you love, and it was all ..... It's been a minute since "Your Forever DJ" came through with another mix but I have to say in more than one way this summer and music has been Basic. Typically, there's some flavor, some spices, some juices, and herbs, to add love to the summer rhythm but servings have been bland. Plain like a pizza with no toppings, music has been boring. Dry and stale, light and pale, all summer I've been searching for something to soothe my palate.. So, this mix is my effort to add a sprinkle, a spark, or a slight jolt to your taste buds. A snack until I can cook up a meal that will satisfy your appetite as well as mine. Until then, try your best to enjoy this Basic ... With No Seasoning dish. Or Not!!! LOL!!Basic ... With No Seasoning!DJ Mike Nick's ... Your Forever DJ

Melanin is responsible for determining hair color, eye color, and it is present in the skin to varying degrees, depending on how much a population has been exposed to the sun. This would the scientific definition. However, I would define Melanin as Powerful, Unique, Strong, Prideful, Special, Beautiful, Rich, Intelligent, Confident and Humble at the same time, Assertive, and Subtle, Sensitive, and at times Aggressive, Talented, and Gifted, Wise, and Nurturing. Melanin is my people, my culture, my passion, my spirit, and my peace. Therefore, Melanin is Power and I happen to be "Highly Melanated". In the early 2000's 50 Cent came through a changed the game in Hip Hop. After being shot 9 times and surviving, as if he were bulletproof. 50 was determined to make a name for himself in this thing we call Hip Hop. He changed how the game was played, he intimidated a whole genre, and he ended a few careers in the process. He didn't do it alone though, he had some help from his team G Unit. Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, Young Buck, and then built a whole label and included some other artist to the label. G Unit was a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately, like many other Hip Hop crews G Unit broke apart and 50 became more than just a hip hop icon. 50 has the TV game on smash now and he remains to be untouched, unmarked, and Bulletproof. Check out my mix Bulletproof .... G Unit Edition. Just some of 50 Cent & G Unit's greatest hits.DJ Mike Nick's ... Your Forever DJ
In the late 90's and early 2000's Roc-A-Fella Records was a force to be reckoned with. The partnership between Dame Dash, Jay Z, & Kareem Biggs seemed to be a match made in heaven. After the untimely deaths of 2PAC & BIGGE, Jay Z fought for the title for greatest rapper. Nas gave Jay a run for his money. In order for Jay to solidify his rein on top he needed a strong camp and that brought about the emergence of the Roc. He built a team that dominated the charts for a number of years and created what was considered a Hip Hop Dynasty. Unfortunately, dynasty's don't last forever and due to a number of factors like fame, greed, money, & power .... caused the Death of a Dynasty. If you are a fan of the Roc, I think you will appreciate this collection of Roc-A-Fella hits. Brought to you by, Your Forever DJ, DJ Mike Nick's.

Yo, in the 1980's was different. LOL! The variety of style, the beauty and freedom of expression, it was a melting pot of culture. Inside that pot, was the sweet ingredient of music. What stood out for me in the 80's besides the brand new song of Hip Hop, was the classic soulful sounds of R&B. It offered a blend mix of joy, love, and pain. So, I celebrate 80's R&B Music for those who remember those times as I do and for those who maybe hearing some of those soulful hits for the first time. Open your mind and your ears and allow the music to move you. Please enjoy, "80's Baby ... R&B Made Me"!Presented By: DJ Mike Nick's ... Your Forever DJ
R.Kelly is arguably the King of R&B. However, controversy has overshadowed his musical legacy. It's hard for me to ignore the emotions and the joy I experienced listening to his songs in the past.
