While the overall hate crime rate is declining, hate crimes targeting Asian people are spiking up. And, a new report shows 3,795 anti-Asian hate incidents (verbal and physical assault) between March 19, 2020 and February 28, 2021. More than 500 incidents happened in 2021. The majority targeted Asian women. What you can do: Sign the National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum’s petition to Condemn Hate and Violence Against Asian American Women.
