Listeners of The Carlat Psychiatry Podcast that love the show mention:The Carlat Psychiatry Podcast is a highly informative and engaging podcast that I have been a longtime fan of. It offers valuable insights and practical information in the field of psychiatry, all while remaining free from industry influence. The podcast takes the already delightful format of The Carlat Report and presents it in bite-sized morsels that are packed with flavor and highly satisfying. I particularly enjoy both the longer segments and the 60-second podcasts, as they provide different lengths to suit my needs and interests.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is its daily format. While I also appreciate the longer full episodes, having a quick, easily digestible review of a more narrow topic on a daily basis is a fantastic addition. It allows me to stay up-to-date with new information in a convenient way. The hosts, Dr. Aiken and Kelly, do an exceptional job bringing new information to listeners in a pleasant format. Their wealth of insight and expertise shines through each episode, making it both helpful and thought-provoking for clinicians and patients alike.
I must admit that there really aren't any major negative aspects to this podcast. However, if I were to nitpick, one thing that could be improved is the frequency of episodes. As much as I enjoy it now, having even more frequent episodes would be wonderful. The show's relevance to how most outpatient offices are practicing in these times is commendable, so having more content at our fingertips would be greatly appreciated.
In conclusion, The Carlat Psychiatry Podcast is a refreshing and highly informative show that delivers straight-to-the-point information in a clear and concise manner. The hosts are engaging and speak clearly, making each episode enjoyable to listen to. With its relevance to current practices in psychiatry and its commitment to providing practical information without industry influence, this podcast is truly one of the best produced and most informative psychiatry podcasts out there. Whether you're a clinician or patient, you will find the information extremely helpful and thought-provoking. I highly recommend subscribing to this podcast and looking forward to future material!
